Understanding Time Management PCR

Hi All,
I am trying to understand a  PCR and I am not sure why the below highlighted nodes are kept like this. Can someone please help me out.
TIA..

Many Thanks Vivek for answering my query.. I have read your many blogs and was helped immensely guidance given to  freshers (P K agarwal books), kinda follower of yours .
Coming back to this query.
I have checked in table there is no entry as attendance type 14/0014. I am almost clear with this PCR but just have a doubt. If we see the below  screenshot, I believe for any  attendance type except 14 there will be addition to Day balance table (ADDDBZD00). In case the Attendance type is 14, it will stop processing the PCR and control go back to schema..

Mohinder ...<I am bad with remebering Names .. thanks for reminding me TIA from Blood diamond >

  • Calling a custom Infotype field in Time Management PCR

    Dear All,
I need to read a custom Infotype field in TM PCR to read the individual leave entitlement. In my organization there is no employee group wise or Personnel Area wise fixed entitlements for leave. Leave entitlement varies individual to individual based on the contract. We are planning to maintain the individual annual entitlement in a custom infotype n then call this information in PCR to accrue the prorated quota each month.
Is there any standard operation available which can be used to read a custom infotype field or do we need to create a custom operation or function. If so, kindly let me know how to create them.
    Appreciate your early response.
    Thanks & Regards
    Syed

    Syed,
I am not really sure about it. What I can tell you is that there is standar operation TABLE that is use to read fields from infotype. You may use that operation as a base or maybe just create some enhancement on it (I really don´t if that is possible). Check with your ABAP and have a look on operation table.

  • Time Management: How to call birth year of an employee through PCR?

    Hi Friends...
This is related to Time Management PCR. Can you help me in calling the birth year(1980 for example) of an employee through any operation? It would help a lot.
    Thank you all in advance

    Hi Friends...
I agree that we will get the difference of years, months and days with IT0041. There is another option also available from PCR to get the difference between 2 dates. But, we need the birth year only here to serve the following requirement...
Irrespective of the month and day, if employee is born in 1980, He should get 20 days of quota in the year 2013.
    1981 - 2014
    1982 - 2015
    and so on
So, here neither months, nor days are going to help. We need to query the birth year..so that we will do BCURYR-XXXXX(Birth year) and if it is 33 years..He will get 20 days -
    this is for example.
Hope you are now clear with the requirement. Can you please help.

    Hi Gurus,
I am trying to understand Time management concepts, pls help me on the following -

*I BELIVE SPECIAL RULE FOR PM AND PP Module not for HR. any way thanks for asking i got new point*
    *see example here*
*You do that using a special rule for the calendar. SCAL is the transaction code. Click the Maintain button then select the Factory calendar radio button and press the change (pencil) button.*
*Select your calendar then press the change (pencil) button again. Click on the Special rules button then the Create button (paper). Enter the From and To date(s) [same date if only one day] then if it WILL be a work day check the Workday field and you will need to enter Text.*
*If, for example, the day is a normal workday and you want to shut down for that date (or date range), this time leave the Workday check box empty.*
*Click the paper button when you're done entering the data then the save button (or the F-11 key). You're done.*
*This is configuration data therefore configuration for SCAL and SCA6_U must be allowed in your profile.*

Could you refer some articles or to some pages where the PCR s have been explained.
I  am in need to write a PCR for calculating the Leave Quotas.
    Conditions:
The employee should have spent 1825 days in the organization, from his DOJ.For the excess day that he has worked,He would be recieving a leave quota of 2.3 days per a time evaluation period.(Monthly)

  • Important /standard Schemas & PCRs for Time Management

    Dear Gurus,
I just completed my course and would like to explore more about Time Management.
I would be glad if any one of you could share the important and most used schemas/ PCR's  of TIME MANAGEMENT in real time..
Looking forward to hear from you soon to put myself in to SAP soon
    Sathya

    Hi sathya,
For Time  Mgt mainly you have to focus on Schemas TM00, TM04
and check the differences of those two,
go to PE02 & read  document and concentrate on the below Pcrs.
    TO20            Calculate overtime with quota 2007 01
TO10             Evaluate overtime approval in I0050
TO15             Evaluate overtime approval in daily WS
    TO16              Determine overtime without approval
    TW15              Overtime after x hours/day

  • UNABLE TO GET SALARY BASED ON HOURS ( POSITVE TIME MANAGMENT )

    Hi Vivek,
                    Your document was great.
I am implementing positive time management and at present i am entering the clock in and clock-out in IT-2011 manually for testing and when i run PT60 using TM00 schema it was not showing any errors but data in 'ZL' it was showing as no entries.
And to cross check i have executed  'PC00_M40_CALC' but the payroll was caluclated based on no. of days( negative tm).
I am new to TM concept please help me out.
    Thanks,
    Saikrishna.

    Hi,
Here are some answers/comments to your question above.
    1. You should not make any changes in schema TM00 (Standard SAP Schema) - copy this to a custom schema (ZM00) in transaction PE01 and add logic/make changes in this custom schema.
    2. Entries will not automatically be created in the ZL table just because you have IT2011 (Table TEVEN) entries. ZL entries are created either through PCR logic, or via table T510S (Wage type generation) entries. These are both very complex Time Management concepts that require a lot of studying and understanding in order to take raw data and generate the appropriate wage types at the appropriate time. This is important because based upon raw clock in and clock out's alone the system does not know if it should generate regular hours, overtime, double time, holiday pay etc - you have to do the configuration to tell the system what to generate and when to generate it.
    3. As far as your issue within the payroll driver (Basic Salary being created on the basis of number of date) - I believe this could be based upon either wage type setup or your Pay Scale configuration and this associate's Infotype 8. You probably have him setup like a salaried associate. Check the following area in the IMG Personnel Management --> Personnel Administration --> Payroll Data --> Basic Pay
Good luck on your journey to learning SAP Time Management/SAP Payroll.
    Thanks,
    Imran

  • Time management - Positive

    Hi Expers,
I have query regarding time management. The scenario is I am doing SAP-HR implementation of manufacturing company who are using time machine to capture clock-in and clock-out time. Now they want us to upload this time data (In-time and out-time) of employee into SAP through BDC and process it accordingly as present, late, overtime and absent.
    My query is :
In which time infotype do i update in-out data of employee (Is it 2001, 2002 or 2011 and then move to 2001 and 2002)
How and where do i do logic building for raw in-out data being present, absent , overtime or late.
What should be the Time Management Status (0, 7 or 9),
How do i link attendance of employee with work schedule of employee
Thanks a lot for your support.
    Regards,
    Jyoti

    Hi,
    1. It won't update the 2002 infotype, until you write coding to store the timings. If you have clock in, outs..you can upload into 2011IT. In this record pair formation is there as per standard. It you update in 2002 there is no pair formation, you have to create 2 attendance types and need to update the clock in,out. But, in 2011 no need to create/configure anything else. Here we can store the actual date of the employee timings. so better suggestion, write BDC program with abaper then upload the clock in, out. Before updating clock -in, out , maintain the 0050IT.
Time data get process in payroll by the PARTT function, if you have overtime then it will with ZLIT function time date will process in payroll. you can get the no.of working days, calendar days(present days) in in ur payslip. for this you can use TKSOLL, TSSOLL.
    2. After clock out employee, system will check the excess hours of the employee, if employee worked more than work schedule hours, then system will consider as overtime i.e, excess hours after clock out.
Group A:  after excess hours we can pay overtime remuneration to employee by end of the month. ZL table will pass the no.of hours into payroll system by time wage type. For this, you have create one time wage type and update the Processing class 17 - A specification.
Group B: Transfer the excess hours(overtime ) into one time type, assign this time type to absence quota in base entitlement. then you can create the leave type and assign this leave to to absence quota. then employee can take the paid leaves. or you can encash the leaves.
Group C: for 8:30 hour overtime you have to write a rule for this condition. You can convert the excess hours into leaves(as per group B), for less than 8:30 hours then need to go with PCR. and you can pay as ex-gratio by maining 14, 15IT
Group D: follow the Group B procedure.
    3. for late coming purpose you have to write one rule by quering PBEG, PEND.
I hope you will understand the above.
    Regards.
    Devi.

  • Trying to Understand Color Management

The title should have read, "Trying to Understand Color Management: ProPhoto RGB vs, Adobe RGB (1998) my monitor, a printer and everything in between." Actually I could not come up with a title short enough to describe my question and even this one is not too good. Here goes: The more I read about Color Management the more I understand but also the more I get confused so I thouht the best way for me to understnand is perhaps for me to ask the question my way for my situation.
I do not own an expensve monitor, I'd say middle of the road. It is not calibrated by hardware or any sophisticated method. I use a simple software and that's it. As to my printer it isn't even a proper Photo filter. My editing of photos is mainly for myself--people either view my photos on the net or on my monitor. At times I print photos on my printer and at times I print them at a Print Shop. My philosophy is this. I am aware that what I see on my monitor may not look the same on someone else's monitor, and though I would definitely like if it it were possible, it doesn't bother me that much. What I do care about is for my photos to come close enough to what I want them to be on print. In other words when the time comes for me to get the best colors possible from a print. Note here that I am not even that concerned with color accuracy (My monitor colors equalling print colors since I know I would need a much better monitor and a calibrated one to do so--accurately compare) but more rather concerned with color detail. What concerns me, is come that day when I do need to make a good print (or afford a good monitor/printer) then I have as much to work with as possible. This leads me to think that therefore working with ProPhoto RGB is the best method to work with and then scale down according to needs (scale down for web viewing for example). So I thought was the solution, but elsewhere I read that using ProPhoto RGB with a non-pro monitor like mine may actually works against me, hence me getting confused, not understanding why this would be so and me coming here. My goal, my objective is this: Should I one day want to print large images to present to a gallery or create a book of my own then I want my photos at that point in time to be the best they can be--the present doesn't worry me much .Do I make any sense?
BTW if it matters any I have CS6.

To all of you thanks.                              First off yes, I now have begun shooting in RAW. As to my future being secure because of me doing so let me just say that once I work on a photo I don't like the idea of going back to the original since hours may have been spent working on it and once having done so the original raw is deleted--a tiff or psd remains. As to, "You 're using way too much club for your hole right now."  I loved reading this sentence :-) You wanna elaborate? As to the rest, monitor/printer. Here's the story: I move aroud alot, and I mean a lot in other words I may be here for 6 months and then move and 6 months later move again. What this means is that a printer does not follow me, at times even my monitor will not follow me so no printer calbration is ever taken into consideration but yes I have used software monitor calibration. Having said this I must admit that time and again I have not seen any really noticeale difference (yes i have but only ever so slight) after calibrating a monitor (As mentioned my monitors, because of my moving are usually middle of the road and limited one thing I know is that 32bits per pixel is a good thing).  As to, "At this point ....you.....really don't understand what you are doing." You are correct--absolutely-- that is why I mentioned me doing a lot of reading etc. etc. Thanks for you link btw.
Among the things I am reading are, "Color Confidence  Digital Photogs Guide to Color Management", "Color Management for Photographers -Hands on Techniques for Photoshop Users", "Mastering Digital Printing - Digital Process and Print Series" and "Real World Color Management - Industrial Strength Production Techniques" And just to show you how deep my ignorance still is, What did you mean by 'non-profiled display' or better still how does one profile a display?

  • Design of Time Management infocube

Hi, I need the help of HR BW experts!!!
    The scenario is this:
    1) I'm loading transactional data for time and accidents through Flat files into an ODS
    2) My final cube, must have the 0EMPLOYEE and their attributes as well to use in reports
    3) I  know master data 0EMPLOYEE is time dependant.
    4) I added attributes as fieds in my Cube (for performance reasons). The question is WHICH IS THE BEST WAY TO FILL ALL ATTR?
I'm looking at the standard. In the doc there is 2 routines: Personne and a Global routine. But I can not see them!!! Even this, I understand that this attributes must be filled with the values according to the date of loadind (business rule).
So, do I have to create a function - routine to read master data according to the DATE of loading?
Or it is already done in the standard?
In SAP note 336229, it says:
    4.All attributes of 0PERSON and 0EMPLOYEE must be time-dependent.
Maintenance of the validity slice (Transaction RSDV) for InfoCube 0PAPA_C02 after the first load of data:to-mode 'Fixed value' and '31.12.9998' as a date
What is it? Can apply for PT??
Please, if somebody has implemented this, PT information, Time Management, tell me which is the best solution for this, having into account performance issues.
    Thank you!!
    Regards
    Rosana

    0employee has time dependent attributes.
So, when you are loading the transactional data, the system will check the attribute value, which is valid currently and load the data accordingly.
    Lets say
0employee   Valid from    Valid to           Country
    10001           21.03.2008   22.03.2009      IN
    10001           23.03.2009    31.12.9999     SG
Country is an attribute of 0employee.
When you are loading the data today, the system will check the valid country ( country = SG is valid today) and fill the attributes.
    Hope this is clear.
    Ravi

  • Waht does time management status 0 without payroll integration mean

In our project, the client does not want to use time evaluation and so, we have set the time management status value as 0 (no time evaluation). Also, the client is not implementing (at least now) SAP-Payroll, as they are processing payroll through a different software. We have configured work schedules ( they need just 4 different work schedules) and assigned appropriate ork schedules to all employees in infotype 0007. We have also configured one absence quota (Earned Leave of 20 days per year).
My query is how will the system behave now with time management status value as 0? Can we process absence quotas? What is the use of work schedules, in this context, as any way the system does not evaluate employee time in Time Management. Neither the time wage types are evaluted in Payroll, as SAP Payroll is not implemented.
    -Shambhvi

My thanks to all of you. I would like to summarize the answer for my query:
Since time management status = 0, there won't be any time evaluation, which means attendance and absence data, even if entered won't be evaluated in Time Management. Since Payroll is not implemented, the question of time data getting evaluated in Payroll does not exist. However, absence quotas can be maintained, irrespective of the value of time managment status.
Please correct me, if my understanding is wrong
    -Shambhvi
