Urgent help! Multiple problems.

My iPhone 3GS screen is cracked, my lock button doesn't work even when I push the screen in, the screen loses it's touch sometimes, wont sync music, doesn't unlock sometimes, touch it slow, internet doent work sometimes, freezes a lot ect. How much will it cost to fix it? I use my phone for everything and I cant be without it for long. :/

you could always upgrade sience you have a 3gs your probilly available for a upgrade

Urgent HELP needed: Problems transfer from Bold 9900 to Z10

Dear helpdesk,
I've just received my new Z10 and want to transfer all data from my old 9900.
Using Link software seems to work fine.... until the copying from the 9900 is almost finished. Then I get the message "Data could not be copied from your device due to the following errors: There could have been a problem with the device or communication during the backup. Verify that the device is tuned on and connected".
Surely that IS the case.... I've already removed the old BB Desktop SW and reinstalled the Link SW.
Without success unfortunately.
What do I do wrong/do I need to do to get my files copied to the Z10?
I am also wondering what would happen to the memos which I made using the 9900's MemoPad?

Please Help - Multiple problems with new BB software update

I have a BB Bold 9700, via Carphone Warehouse on O2 (UK).
I just downloaded this software update in good faith, via the desktop manager. It has changed several things I did not wish to change, some of them without any explanation as to how to revert to what I had before.
One thing it has done is duplicate all my calendar entries, using different email addresses as default calendar addresses. I never had this with the previous software. Also, I am having trouble entering a new calendar entry on a day where there is already an "all day" entry.
I guess the more we rely on these little machines, the more we suffer when things go wrong. Does anyone have any clues as to what to do ? Carphone Warehouse could not help and accessing anyone at BB seems impossible.

Yes, I checked the wifi settings and nothing has visibly changed, and no, I haven't received ANY prompts from Apple about app upgrades -- and before you ask, yes, my iPad is registered with Apple with me as the owner;
The decision to cut the power was one of the moronic moves that bother me, as it renders the device useless for the growing number of photographers looking to give Apple their MONEY to use it; and
I should not have to reset the network settings just because Apple can't get the bugs out of an update before they issue it.

Help, multiple problems including email and sms!

I have had my phone since march and one of the first things I couldn't do was go onto facebook through the facebook app! I also cannot confirgure and email account or use blackberry messenger as my contacts just won't add! One of the most important things that has happened is that a few weeks ago I suddenly could not send messages to some people in my contacts, they are all from different networks including o2 so it is nothing to do with that. When I go to send it, a red X comes up and it says network out of order. also recently I have been connecting to the wifi in my house and I go to open a page on the browser and it says loading on the bar at the bottom. But it is not loading any pages. Please can someone help!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your carrier for formal support.

Urgent Help Installation Problems (It's getting annoying now... been over a year)

When ever i try to install apple snow leopard a message error appears "please clean disc" or "unsupported files"

Clean the bottom of your installer disk or get a new one from Apple.
If the problem continues, you have a dirty lense in your Superdrive most likely.

Urgent Help : Workflow Problem

I am working on EAI workflows. I am using Siebel Tools Simulator and also the Business Service Simulator to test my workflows. However I am facing some issues.
I am not able to simulate my new workflows. However all the older workflows are working fine. Below are the steps that I take to simulate the workflows:
1. Create a workflow in Siebel tools and click the publish/activate button. Check if its status changed to Completed.
2. Open Siebel Web Client > Sitemap > Admin-Business Service > Simulator.
3. Process Name "Workflow Process Manager" and Method name "RunProcess"
4. Under Input Arguments: Property Name "ProcessName" and Property Value "WORKFLOW NAME"
5. Click the run button.
At this point I get error as:
Siebel
Cannot execute workflow process definition 'Test EAI Workflow 4'.(SBL-BPR-00158)
OK
However the older workflows work fine with the same approach. I am able to Simulate. Even I copied the existing workflows (that I am able to Simulate) but they dont work either. :(

Hi,
You need to activate the new workflows u have created. If u want to test the workflow in thin client, then manually import the workflow in active workflow process and try to simulate.
This error will occur if the workflow is not "ACTIVE" in the active workflow process under Administration - Business Process.

Urgent help : printjob() problem

when i used printjob class for printing pages. in print
option window print range selection is disabled. that means i am

URGENT HELP NEEDED ... Tomcat Realm and JRE1.4 plug-in problem

I have tried the Security Realm of Tomcat. Since I do not have
an LDAP server, I decided to use the Tomcat-users.xml file in
Tomcat\conf directory.
I added the following lines of code in the web.xml file.

So, now when we type the url: http://localhost:8080/adbpdbre/default.htm, TOMCAT shows a dialog box asking for UserName: and Password:Now, only when we give the username and password, it shows the page. This is exactly what we want.
But the problem now is, this default.htm page, has 5 links to 5 applets. The first time that I click on one of these links, the JRE plug of 1.4 shows a dialog again asking for the username and password. Till I dont provide the username and password the system doesnt go ahead and applet doesnt load. I do not want the JRE to ask me for the username/passwords again..How to avoid this ?
Can you give me some more information on this. Ultimately in the production usage, we will be using LDAP and not Tomcat's memory realm.

In the config file, you 're essentially saying that you want Tomcat to prompt for usr/passw on every request (url-pattern = /*) made by a 'webviewer', and that's exactly what Tomcat is doing.
Consider using specific url-patterns & roles for resources to be protected. If for now, all you need is to protect the first page, use a more specific url-pattern.
Just an advice : if you'll be using LDAP in production, do not waste time with Tomcat's Security Realm and the BASIC authentication type, since the two have not much in common. Start reading doc on LDAP, and code a prototype, or even better, a vertical slice of the app (i.e a proof of concept).

Urgent Help Reqd: Delta Problem....!!!

Urgent help reqd regarding follwoing scenario:
I am getting delta to ODS 1 (infosource : 2LIS_12_VCHDR) from R/3. Now this ODS1 gives delta to Cube1. I got one error record which fails when going to cube (due to master data check).And this record would be edited later.
So I thought of re loading cube and using error handling to split request in PSA and load valid records in cube.Later when I have coorect info abt error, I would load erroneous record manually using PSA.
I did following steps:
1)Failed request is not in cube...(setting is PSA and then into target)....also it has been deleted from PSA.
2)Remove data status from source ODS1.
3)Change error handling in infopackage to valid " Valid records update, reporting possible".
4)start loading of cube.
But when I did this I got following message :
<b> "Last delta update is not yet completed.Therefore, no new delta update is possible.You can start the request again if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor"</b>
But both my requests in cube and ODS are Green...no request is in yellow...!!
Now the problem is :
1) I have lost ODS data mart status
2)how to load valid records to cube, since errorneous record can be edited only after 3- 4 days.
3)How not to affect delta load of tomorrow.
Please guide and help me in this.

I just checked in cube...there is no failed request for today...and neither in PSA....Person who has handed this to me may have deleted this is PSA..and why req is not in failed state in cube...I am not sure..though setting is "PSA and then into data package".....
So how to go frm here....

I'm a newbie in this forum and I really need urgent help with my motherboard.

I really appreciate if anyone can help to guide me in solving my problem. My keyboard tends to freeze at the part where it says "Press any key to boot from CD". This limits me to do anything until I'm totally loaded into Windows. Thus, disable me to perform any formating and fresh installation of OS. However, the keyboards works fine at the begining of the POST and in BIOS. Is there any settings in BIOS that i should perform?.....
However, I realise in order to get through the foresaid message without the the keyboard freeze up is by keep on trying to boot up and shut down until it works (but only work once, then hv to try again), but this is not a solution as if what if I wanted to have 2 OS?... I cant use the keyboard to choose either of the OS installed. I have tried to change the RAM, change keyboard, use the build in VGA, or even remove the motherboard from the ATX casing - result: still have the same problem. What should I do??.. I have look around the forum for answers but there isnt any (I hope I didnt miss any). Is there any problem with my motherboard, or its BIOS, or any of the harware compatibility or etc..... what actually can I do?
I do not dare to perform any BIOS update Unnecessary (it seems that many have problems with BIOS problem in this forum) and moreover i think my BIOS is the most up-to-date. I cant find any new version in the net. Anyway I will check this topic frequently as possible to hope for any solution. What is the best solutions?

Have you ever done a hard factory reset of your Airport Express base? If not, then try it. Push down the reset button with a pen, then keep it depressed as you plug AX into the wall and keep holding it down until the green light blinks 4 times and then turns amber. Then let go. Unplug your broadband modem for a couple of minutes and shut down your Mac. First restart the modem, then the Mac. Use Airport Setup Assistant to set up a new network from scratch.
In System Prefs > Network > Show > Network Port Configurations drop n drag Airport to the top of the list and deselect all port configurations that you do not use.
That's a start.

Problem uninstalling MaxMSPRuntime on mac - urgent help needed

I've been using Cycle 74's MaxMSP Runtime version 5.1 for a while but recently had to witch to an earlier version to make some hardware function along side the Max runtime environment. The problem is that where i would usually just drag and drop Max 5.1 into the trash to uninstall it, for some reason, after i have done this and try to install the older version of Max, OSX wont let me install Max 4.0.8 as it says an updated version is currently installed. I have scoured my hard drive for the remanence of Max 5.1. and deleted everything i've found. Is there a way of overriding macosx and getting it to replace Max5.1 with an older version?
Urgent help needed as i am playing a show this weekend and currently am not able to get my equipment to function.
A shiny nickel for the one who saves my ***.

Hi- Try this...
If you can, reinstall or use time machine to recover your recently deleted MaxMSP Runtime 5.1.
Then, download AppZapper. It is a utility that helps you cleanly delete programs off your mac. It is free for the first 5 uses.

Then, install AppZapper, and then go ahead and drag the MaxMSP Runtime 5.1 into it, and it should hopefully get rid of the pesky program

Multiple Problems after Leopard upgrade HELP! Video display and FW problem

I don't know if this is related.. but I've been battling multiple problems ever since I upgraded my G5 to Leopard a week ago. Everything was perfect under Tiger.
Well, I think I've got everything solved except two last things.
1. My 750GH Maxtor Firewire drive... when I plug it in... does not show in the desktop and it causes both my internal drive and two other Firewire enclosures to disappear from the desktop. I can see all of them mounted in the disk utility, but if this one drive is plugged in.. all icons disappear from the desktop. If I unplug or unmount the 750GB drive.. everything comes back.
I've reformatted this drive, etc. This does not happen on my MacBookPro. The drive mounts fine on that. I've tried different cables, I've tried USB (it's a triple interface Maxtor) and nothing seems to work. I would assume there's something wrong with the drive and not my desktop... but the drive works fine on the MacBookPro.
PLEASE!! Any clues would help...
The other problem that only occurred directly after upgrading to Leopard... is that my graphics now get corrupted and garbled. I've got two video cards running two LCD monitors. The card giving me problems is the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (256MB). What happens is.. first all the window shadows and top menu bar start getting checkerboard patterns.. then the whole screen starts getting variants of different colors and checkerboard patterns. After awhile and refreshing the screen a few times... the problem goes away for a bit. Then comes back.
Again, this card and my entire system and drives were working fine under Tiger. Now, I don't know if I have a bad card? Is there something wrong with Leopard on my G5 2Ghz DP? Did my Maxtor 750GB triple interface drive just go bad with the upgrade?
I don't know where else to look, I'm guessing the "geniuses" at the Apple store won't help me since this machine is out of warranty. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated. I've been battling all these problems ever since I started the Leopard upgrade 4 days ago and have not got much sleep.

The drives not or disappearing on the desktop could point to the need to do a pram reset.
I believe you hold down the apple-option-p-r keys at startup and listen for a couple of chimes.

2-because you people forgot to add in NX switch support in the bios (i did install the new one and same thing happened) i had to clean-install win 8, and that lead to all my drivers, premium services(including their serial code) to be deleted(but that is my problem...) any ways, i did not find all the proper drivers on the website!! and so right now switch able graphics aren't running and so both the "ati radeon 4300/4500" and the "Intel i3 integrated graphics" to run at the same time, creating one screen(laptop) and one virtual screen, causing many things to run on the other screen, and just because it is already running and it is better my laptop screen is on the ati card, now when i try to set second screen only, using Fn+f4 and setting screen resolution did not work, and yes, infact the Intel card is taking over the first screen while the ati is the second, and the laptop screen is set on the second, now the problem is, setting the screen to duplicate or second screen only will cause me a long process of trying to make it work again, and when i finally am victories, if i sleep the laptop, shut down, hibernate, or even close the lead, boom the Intel card is working again causing me problems, and just to mention, i installed the latest drivers from the amd website, i do not want the Intel card running at all, because if you go to the link at no.1 i did not describe, but it is the processor that is over heating and i believe the processor is an apu with a week graphics card, and that might be adding some heat, also to the heat problem i installed pirriform speccy on my father's computer too(also dv3 2360ee, and fun fact is: he bought his 2 years before me), and his stuff run at about 50-50-55-40 (CPU-motherboard-gpu-hdd) and while typing this, mine are 78-76-79-(not showing up)!!
3-the battery is showing "plugged in, not charging" but is going up slowly, what is wrong??
4-i have to set the battery settings to high performance, anything other than that and i am back to the days of my old acer "celerion m " 1 gb ram laptop!! i know that the setting are just for sleep and other things but how can that alter the performance??????

Just to note, it doesn't look like this unit actually supports Windows 8 based on the lack of drivers on the driver page.
I experienced similar issues with my unit in Windows 8. My unit also does not support Windows 8. My system was overheating as well, but this was because both video cards were actually running at the same time. The system was designed with switchable graphics and is meant to only have one or the other active and not both. Both cards running simultaneously generates additional heat the system is not equipped to handle.
For me, the steps listed in this thread is what reoslved my switchable graphics and overheating issues. I can only hope that it would do the same for you. Without an official Windows 8 switchable graphics driver available, I'm afraid the options are limited.
Regarding the battery, have you ran the battery test to verify it is functional? When it is plugged in, does the charging indicator light reflect it is charging (amber) or not charging (white/blue)? The battery test is accessible by powering the system on and pressing F8 about once a second to get the diagnostics menu. If the test is not listed, you should be able to use the start-up test as it includes a battery test. Incidentally, I had this same battery issue on my unit and replacing the battery resolved it for my system.
Regarding the fourth topic, the reason that is happening is that the battery is marked as not being charged which puts it in a reduced power profile by default. In a reduced power state, the components are reduced to save battery power. For example, the processor speed would be reduced resuling in the performance that was described. Power plan settings can be tweaked to your liking by clicking on change plan settings under the power plan and then change advanced power settings.

Sqlplus SPOOL broken. Urgent help.

I have never seen this before.
I am running a spool of a small query. It returns 7 rows and they are displayed. I go to look at the .lst file and the first row is gone from the spooled .lst file. I have tried this multiple times, and the results vary- sometimes it removes the first row and sometimes it removes the first column of data form the first row.
??????????????? Any idea where to start looking for trouble other than the alert.log?

Because you are saying that your problem is more important and more deserving attention than other people who post problems here. That is just a rude and arrogant thing to do. Your problem is by no means more important than any other person's problem in this forum - as you are in no position to compare and judge that.
You are also demanding a quick response from those here that assist people like you. You have no right to demand anything as paid professionals are giving you their free time in assisting you. How can you claim that they must be "quick-quick" in spending their free time, without any payment, to assist you?
So, practice some netiquette and remember that this is a PUBLIC forum and "staffed" by volunteers.
