Use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to GR subcontract PO?

Dear all:
I have one question in using BAPI BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to receipt a subcontract PO.
In BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE function,when we GR one item from PO, system will consume it's component quantity automatic.
But if the component material has batch management ,the function will show error and ask me to enter batch no..
I don't know how to avoid the message and let system choose the vendor stock automatically . Because in the BAPI function , only GR item need to be input , not consuming parts.
Hope someone can tell me how to solve the problems .

Hi,
You have two options here. Search for another bapi which solves your problem or u could copy this bapi and create ur own custom BAPI removing that error message. Although its not the best thing to do, but if you have no other choice go for it.

Hi,
Did u check the serial numbers table before calling the BAPI. Might be the case tht same serial number is assigned for all items, in this case the goods movement may be possible with same serial number for all items.

Error in updating 311 movement using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

Hi All,
I need hlep to understand the problem in doing a transfer.
SAP MII is doing a 311 type movement using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE. BAPI is returning the response back to MII. Once the BAPI is commited it shall make transfer inside SAP. But it does not reflect the movement while checking under HUMO.
under SM13 it say " SSFCOMPOSER 323" error in address output (name not filled)
MII is getting this reponse back as a result of BAPI execution.

the code does not matter, it is the process and the stock situation that does not allow the creation of the movement.
you cannot receive e.g. 200 from in-transit stock if you only have nothing in transit.
First the goods issue has to be performed in the shipping plant.

I konw that I'm digging an old thread but let's have a look. I have the same problrm (filling the DMBTR field from the BAPI). I have not tried yet but checking the code of the BAdI I found that the EXTENSIONIN_TO_MATDOC method of the MB_BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE BAdI is called before creating the material posting and it has the IMSEG table as changing parameter. I will give it a try soon. Hope that it will work.

Post GM with reference to Production Order using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

Hi Experts,
We need to post Goods Movement with reference to Production order. In brief, we have to get the functionality of MB1A done. I'm trying to use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, but its not reflecting the Documented Goods Movements in the Production Order.
Here is the data i'm using:

Sometimes it generates material doc and year in exporting parameter, and sometimes it gives message "Content of order zzzzzzz : yyyyyyy transferred to interface (IMSEG): xxxxxxx".
But despite of this I cannot see the Documented Goods Movements reflecting in the Production Order.
Can anyone help on this. Is there anything else to be passed or I'm missing any process ?

I could get the postings done with BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE. I was executing BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE and then BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT separately, thus the generated Material doc number was not getting posted. When I used the Test Sequence option from SE37 menu, it worked.

Handling unit transfer (311 move) using bapi_goodsmvt_create

MII is using bapi_goodsmvt_create to do a 311 type Handling unit movement. While BAPI is successful and returns a response back as "Delivery 80817152 created". But in ERP, this BAPI is creating a outbound delivery while it should be inbound delivery.
So basically transfer is not happening there if I check in humo.
If Movement Indicator is set to "I" in BAPI request than ERP sends error message " Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 311 XX_I)
I would like to know if some body has experienced the same issue & has any resolution and also want to confirm that handling unit transfer is possible with bapi_goodsmvt_create.

This BAPI only conducts goods movements. It does not affect the handling unit.
If you want to process a handling unit you must use a different BAPI. Are you attempting to unpack the HU?
Use BAPI_HU_UNPACK.

Document Flow not updated using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

Material Document(mblnr) is getting populated but Document Flow of that inbound delivery is not getting updated.Its status is Open.
Can anyone knows how Document Flow can be updated using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE??

Cannot use BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE in MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE

Hi experts,
I need to do enhance to post additional 313 movement after post 962 movement.
I picked up MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE to be triggered after press save button and used BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to post 313.
The problem is BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE returned error 'Enter Plant'!.
All parameters were already tested with SE37 and it worked great.
I did a lot debugging and found that all MSEG data were mysteriously cleared after it run 'PERFORM fusszeile_wa_pruefen(sapmm07m) USING x.' in source code SAPLMBWL.
After that, I tried a new way. I submitted my Z program ,which call BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE with exactly same parameter, in BADI and it returned error that material ... batch ... is already locked.
I'm not sure that is it possible to post additional material document in this BADI(MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE).

I did create FM and called it in BADI but it gave the same result as I called BAPI directly from enhance program.
and what do you mean 'NEW TASK' Is that you mean call function in update task?
I did try call function in update task but it didn't work.
The problem is BAPI function returned that Mat XXX Batch XXX is alreay locked by XXX and also cannot get created material doc number.

Use handling units for subcontracting

Hello Experts,
we are currently trying to improve our subcontracting process. The stock of material is provided to the vendor in boxes, he processes the articles and delivers them back to us in the same boxes.
To be able to identify the boxes when they come back, we want to use handling units.
When i tried to test this, i faced a problem in transaction VLMOVE. There is no handling unit process similar to movement type 541.
Is this a customizing issue or is it not allowed to use handling units for subcontracting?
