Using renderPDFFrom to render a XDP with scribble signature

I extracted a xml data from HTML5 form submitting, the form include a scribble signature field. I used the xml data to render the form using renderPDFForm service, the scribble signature image doesn't show on result interactive PDF. If I generate an output PDF using generatePDFOutput service, the scibble signature image shows on output PDF.
I want to know why scribble signature field doesn't work for renderPDFForm service. Do you have the same issue?
Thanks

That should not be the case. Can you send sample xdp, data and rendered interactive pdf form?

  • Command line render "-reuse" flag with multiple copies of afterFx.exe

The question is, can i use "-reuse" flag to start rendering with more than one copy of afterFx.exe ?
    //OS Windows 7
    If i start
    aerender.exe -project c:\projects\project_1.aep
I have to wait about 15 seconds until the After is started and only then start rendering.
But I can start the After in advance.
    Start
    aerender.exe -project c:\projects\project_1.aep -reuse
And then render will begin immediately.
Unfortunately one copy of After effects does not use the power of my computer at 100%. // I need about 5 copies.
    So I tried:
    Execute in command promt:
    AfterFx.exe -m -noui
    AfterFx.exe -m -noui
    AfterFx.exe -m -noui
    Then execute:
    aerender.exe -project c:\projects\project_1.aep -reuse
    aerender.exe -project c:\projects\project_1.aep -reuse
    aerender.exe -project c:\projects\project_1.aep -reuse
But only the first copy of AfterFx was used. The following two commands of aerender  have launched a new copies of AfterFx.
    Any ideas?
P.S. I know about the "-mp" flag, it is not a solution.

I know on the mac side you can send a system command to have "aerender" launch a render in Terminal. Same as Lloyd's BGRenderer script, without all the nice features of course. If you are rendering an image sequence, you can launch a render multiple times and it will begin to use more of the available resources, skipping frames already in process by the other processes. It will take a toll on your computer if you launch too many at once, but I've had at least three or four of these going for one render before.
The system command is (OS X based):
    /Applications/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ CS6/aerender -project /Volumes/Projects/Lazarus/Project\ Files/AE_Projects/Shots/023_010A1/AE_Projects/023_010A1.aep -sound "on"
    BREAKDOWN
Path to aerender (spaces are escaped with a backslash):
         /Applications/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ CS6/aerender
Project flag and then path to aep file:
         -project /Desktop/myShotToRender.aep
Sound flag to have it "ding" on completion:
         -sound "on"

  • Project link when using AME to render AE comp?

Adobe has suggested that we NOT use AE render queue to output file to MXF OP1a AVC-100 due to a bug in the format size . I rely on using the Project Link function when I did use the AE render queue. How do I get that function when using AME to export?

That's not something that you can do with AME currently.
If you rendered a master file from After Effects and then transcoded it in AME, you should be able to preserve the metadata from the master in the transcoded file output from AME.  Let me check to see if that works...

  • Using Compressor To Render - Slower in 3?

I'm doing a new project in Motion 3 and I use Compressor to render the thing because I have a 16:9 custom setting in Compressor that I use. Is it my imagination, or is it rendering a lot slower?
I have a play range of about 1 minute rendering and it has taken 20 minutes to render half of it.
This is a simple project too - no video footage, animated text and shapes with some Photoshop TIFFs.
    Thanks

no for me compressor is faster. Although i have had occasions when motion couldnt export to Compressor. it booted compressor up but then i just got the spinning pizza wheel of death. A re boot fixed it.
not much help to you except to confirm that there's something odd going on with your system. But then you probably already knew that

  • Who uses Final Touch SD in conjunction with FCP?  Why?  Why not?

Who uses Final Touch SD in conjunction with FCP? Why? Why not?
    LM

It is my understanding that Final Touch is much faster than daVinci.
    You are in error...
Depends on the operator and the machine. With a DaVinci you are going tape to tape and the colorist is coloring each shot. When they are done, then they press play and all their settings apply in real time as the tapes roll.
With Final Touch, you have to render your final product after you do all the coloring. Typically the render will take longer than it takes a tape to play, depending on the machines processor power. But still, 4-5 hours for a 30-60 minute show...darn slow. If you had the same colorist on both, Final Touch would be slower.
BUT...the advantage is that you color BEFORE you go to tape. So doing your texted and textless outputs are darn easy.

  • How do I use one account to share purchases with my family

I have an iPod, iPad, and my 2 kids each have an iPod. My oldest now has his own apple I'd so he can iMessage and FaceTime friends. How do I link his to the rest of ours so that we can still share our apps and music purchases? I had previously set up all of the devices under my I'd , since they weren't old enough to have their own. When we try to change the setting to automatic downloads, it states that "the device is already associated with an apple I'd", it then goes on to say that is i turn on the auto downloads with this new I'd that I cannot auto download or download past purchases with a different apple I'd for 90 days. What does this mean?. HELP this Mom, Please!

Just go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and redownload the apps and music by:

I want to pass along a couple of tips that will get you more and better response on this list.
    1) There is an un-written rule that says more "stars" is better than just one star. Giving a one star rating will probably eliminate that responder from individuals that are willing to anser your question.
    2) If someone gives you an answer that meets your needs, reply to that answer and say that it worked.
    3) If someone suggests that you look at an example, DO IT! LV comes with a wonderful set of examples that demonstate almost all of the core functionality of LV. Familiarity with all of the LV examples will get you through about 80% of the Certified LabVIEW Developer exam.
    4) If you have a question first search the examples for something tha
t may help you. If you can not find an example that is exactly what you want, find one that is close and post a question along the lines of "I want to do something similar to example X, how can I modify it to do Y".
    5) Some of the greatest LabVIEW minds offer there services and advice for free on this exchange. If you treat them good, they can get you through almost every challenge that can be encountered in LV.
    6) If English is not your native language, post your question in the language you favor. There is probably someone around that can help. "We're big, we're bad, we're international!"
    Trying to help,

  • Questions about using iMovie HD (6.0.4) with a new, as yet undecided, camcorder

    Hi,
I want to keep on using iMovie HD (6.0.4) with whatever new camcorder I am getting. iMovie HD accepts mpeg-4 video so any camcorder that uses that format should work, shouldn't it? I will (probably) be bringing the video in via USB, as I don't think any new camcorders have Firewire ports anymore but I'd love to know about any that do. The plan is to find the files on the camcorder and drag and drop or otherwise transfer them into my MacBook Pro. (See my last question for the Thunderbolt/Firewire adapter problem.)
I've read that some?/all? Canon camcorders can record in both AVCHD and mpeg-4 so I'm looking into them. Any other brands I should check out? Using AVCHD looks like it will be too much trouble so I'm ruling those out, unless you have better ideas.
I've heard that Sony uses their own proprietary "wrapper" for mpeg-4 files their camcorders create. I think there is software out there, possibly for free, that will simply "re-wrap" them, not re-ecode them, so that they may be more easily used. Will Sony camcorders be a problem?
Will file sizes be a problem? I've read so much on AVCHD and other formats that maybe this doesn't apply but I've read that one hour of video can be 60 gb? I don't remember what context that was in.
Can I use mpeg-2 files? From what I have read, I don't think I can. If converting them would make them work, would it take a long time to do that and would file sizes be huge?
I have been using a 21 year old Sony DCR-TRV 9 mini DV cam. This past weekend the LCD screen died. I can still use the viewfinder but that's going to be challenging, so I am shopping for an inexpensive new camcorder. Less than $500, somewhere in the $100-$300 range is preferred but no toys.... HD seems to be out of reach with most starting around $500 but if you recommend any under $500, I'd love to know about them. SD should be fine otherwise. I prefer some sort of card for storage storage rather than a DVD or hard drive. The more popular format, the better.
Any advice is welcome. I do want to stay with iMovie HD though. I have tried iMovie 11 and don't like it. HD suits me fine.
One last question: Since my MacBook Pro doesn't have a Firewire port, I have found it simpler to use my old Powerbook that does.  I then transfer the files over to the MacBook Pro to edit them. I have tried using a Thunderbolt/Firewire adapter so I could use the MBP but it didn't work well with video. The question is: is there a better way to transfer the video files onto the MBP from whatever new camcorder I get than USB? Are there good Thunderbolt connectors that will work well with camcorders?
    Many thanks.
    Cheers,
    John L

I heartily support your decision to continue to use iMovie 6! I use nothing else!
imovie 6 was originally designed to import DV video streams from tape via firewire. However, in practise it can do much more. Useful sources of information:
    iMovie 6 Help:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iMovie_HD_6_Getting_Started.pdf
    from which this is excerpt:
iMovie HD can transfer, or import,
video in many video formats and from many different
types of camcorders, including DV camcorders (including those that support
widescreen) and high definition (HDV) camcorders. In most cases, iMovie HD can
automatically recognize and import the video you’re using, so you don’t have to pay
    attention to video formats.
In this step, you will import your own video into your iMovie project. If you have a
camcorder with a FireWire connection, follow the instructions to connect your
camcorder and import the video using the capture controls in iMovie HD. If you have
another type of digital video device or have footage in a file on your computer, see the
    instructions on page 13.
To import video from a camcorder:
    1
Set the camcorder to VTR mode (some camcorders call this Play or VCR) and turn it on,
    if necessary.
    2
Connect your camcorder to your computer using a FireWire cable.
This MaciLife PDF is also good:
    http://www.macilife.com/PDF/iMovie_HD_6_Chapter.pdf
There is also a video tutorial here (with links to others):
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=654013474999069361#
The excerpt I quoted from the Apple link is less informative than it could be. It also succesfully imports video from my Fuji FinePix S4500 (actually a digital still camera) via USB2, as well from my Sony video camera via firewire!
Can I use mpeg-2 files? From what I have read, I don't think I can. If converting them would make them work, would it take a long time to do that and would file sizes be huge?
No. mpeg2 is the final compressed standard format of a DVD (and will be created by iDVD). To use that in iMovie 6 requires you 'reverse engineer' the file back to a DV stream, with commensurate loss of quality. If you really want to do that, post back for instructions.
I have no experience with Thunderbolt so can't help you there, but hopefully Karsten will see this thread and chime in with his usual excellent advice!

The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind.  Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.

  • How to use old 2005 cinema display (20'') with MacBook Air (mid-2009)

My old 20'' cinema display (2005) has three ports coming out of its power box (single-port dvi, usb, firewire).  Is it possible to use this display with my newer MacBook Air (mid-2009) ? If so, what kind of connector do I need?  Thank you very much for your help.

To use my old Cinema display (2005) with my old PowerMac G5 (2005) I had to plug in all three ports (DVI, usb and firewire) into the desktop.  Can I really use the display just with the DVI output plugged into my MacBook Air mini-Display Port ?
