V12 (GA) switch issues. DB is stuck in creation state, automated backup issues, no monitoring data 1h

Hi,
On Friday we have switched databases to V12 version as it was announced that they are now generally available, but I have doubts that everything was tested by Microsoft, as immediately we have several issues:
1. We had automated backups scheduled on all DB. On Sunday everything started to not work properly. There were more than 10 backup databases created like AutomatedSqlExport_X_20150201T050000Z and emails send that backup cannot be created. We had to
remove them manually except one.
2. One of the backup database is still in creating state from yesterday so we cannot remove it.
3. We have turned off all automated backups in Azure Portal, but I'm not sure if they can be turned on again. I do not want to have 20 DB billed every week as autometed scripts are not working properly.
4. After switch in Management Portal only last hour metrics are available. Switching to 24h or more returns all zeroes. When do we count on the fix?

  • Content Switching Module (CSM): Sessions stuck in closing state

    Hi guys,
    I'm troubleshooting a CSM with 4.3(1).
    We migrated a real server from windows to linux, since then lot's of sessions stuck in closing state until the idle timer expires.
    I traced the traffic from the client to the csm and from the csm to the real server what I saw is the following behaviour at the end of a session:
    windows real server: client sends FIN -> real server acks the FIN -> real server sends FIN -> client sends RST -> real server sends RST -> CSM deletes session from session table
    The linux real server mostly behaves like the windows real server but sometimes behaves as follows:
    client sends FIN -> real server sends  FIN, but does not ack the FIN sequence number of the client -> real server sends RST -> client sends RST -> CSM does not delete  session from session table, it stucks in closing state
    Does anybody know how I can solve this problem of half-closed sessions other than decreasing the idle timeout?
    Is it possible to configure CSM to close and delete sessions not only on FIN-ACK packets but also on RST packets?
    Or to use a different fast idle timeout when sessions are half-closed?

    Hi Fabrizio,
    CSM_FAST_FIN_TIMEOUT is already set to 10 seconds.
    What I found out while testing is that CSM_FAST_FIN_TIMEOUT works with configurations where idle timeout is configured > 0.
    But when idle timeout is configured to 0 (what meas no idle timeout) the csm seems not to use CSM_FAST_FIN_TIMEOUT: Half closed sessions will stuck in closing state.
    Any idea why cms behaves this way?

    You can turn on BT tethering but it disables Wifi so if I have to do that step every time I get in my car, I just as well manually connect on BT every time.

    Take the following steps:
    1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
    2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
    The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
    I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

  • Workflow stuck in starting state after applying SharePoint 2010 CU December 2012

    I have custom visual studio workflow which are associated with Custom content type. workflow gets triggered automatically when a file is uploaded to SharePoint. Everything was working fine till when i apply the following CU

    No error were logged in 14 hive logs.

    It took me a while but I came up with a work around.  There is a PowerShell script below that can be used to trigger the workflow.  Hopefully this will hold all of us over until the official fix arrives.
    First remove the auto start on change or new from the affected workflow
    Edit the script below to match your environment
    Add the script to Windows task scheduler with the PowerShell.exe in the command line
    This assumes PowerShell.exe is in the path
    Then add the full path and script name in the add arguements text box

  • Agent get stucked in Reserved State

    HI CUCCE gurus,
    Need assistance on this issue. In our remote office, our Sales Team has a linegroup setup, the Sales extensions are part of the linegroup and at the same time its their ACD line when they logged in to Cisco Agent Desktop.
    The issue is, when they got a call from the linegroup their CAD state change to "Reserved" and it stuck from that state and nothing they can do to change the state but to logoff, close the apps and log back in.
    I enabled debug on once of the Sales CAD (see attached output).
    Any troubleshooting tips that you can advise or detailed steps to check from our system.

    Agent stuck in reserved state it means, the ICM has reserved the agent, but the call is not getting delivered to the agent extension.
    If you are using SIP trunk, you would probably need to check the CSS and Partitions over the trunk. Also, any recent changes made on the CSS of the SIP trunk you would need to reset the SIP trunk.
    The CSS on the SIP trunk should contain the partition of the phone.
    Also, you would need to check on the Agent targetting rule in the config manager of the ICM. The agent extensions should be added to the Agent targetting rule

    LOL.. don't switch off the TC.. this is fairly typical behaviour..
    Or try a different usb hub.. but you could well and truly run out of hubs before you fix the problem.
    Are you running latest firmware for your TC?
    What error message is coming up in the airport utility.. amber led is a fault indicator.. look up what the actual fault is and see if it is for instance overloading the usb. You are using a powered hub??
    Get one bigger USB hard disk instead of 3 smaller ones.

  • Virtual desktop template creation with UR1 - two issues

    There are two new issues affecting Virtual Desktop template creation with WMS 2012 with UR1.
    Issue #1: Some systems fail to create a new or customized virtual desktop template with UR1 applied. UR1 includes an updated MultiPoint Connector which is compatible with a UR1 host. The Connector gets included in the Virtual Desktop template
    so that the virtual desktops can be managed by MultiPoint Dashboard. On some systems installation of the UR1 Connector will require a reboot that takes too long to complete and template creation will timeout.
    If you try to create a template without doing the following update to the unattend-t.xml file, and if the Connector reboot takes too long, the template creation process will never complete, appearing stuck at 80% until the timeout. If you check the running
    Virtual Machine Connection, you will see an error message that Windows could not complete the installation.
    To correct this:
    From MultiPoint Manager or Hyper-V Manager, shutdown the running template VM.
    Delete the template .vhd stored in Public Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual hard disks
     3. a) Make a backup copy of
    C:\Program Files\Windows MultiPoint Server\Unattend-t.xml
               e.g. rename it .bak
    b) open
    C:\Program Files\Windows MultiPoint Server\Unattend-t.xml in your favorite text editor.

    Issue #2: UR1 was intended to fix an issue creating virtual desktop templates on true UEFI systems, i.e. systems that don’t fall back to legacy support for earlier BIOS services. UR1 did not solve the issue. For now we are recommending
    doing template creation on systems that do fall back to legacy BIOS services. To check: from Device Manager under Disk Drives select your system hard drive. Double click and go to the Volumes tab and click Populate. The Partition Style entry should
    be Master Boot Record (MBR).  If it is GPT you have a UEFI system.
    We continue to investigate fixing this for UEFI systems.

    Any word on a UEFI fix?  My instructions on the other thread seem to work for me.
    Also, I imagine this won't be an issue on the next version of MultiPoint Server since the next Hyper-V in Server 2012 R2 now has those native UEFI VM's.  Have you guys played around with that yet?  Also, FWIW, I'm not sure why the pre-release docs
    mention that UEFI is only supported on Windows 8 VM's.  Why not x64 Windows 7 and Vista SP1 VM's?  I thought those already support full UEFI boot.  Is it because Hyper-V has mandatory restrictions to have Secure Boot turned on for UEFI VM's?

  • [SOLVED] Mailbox import requests stuck in 'queued' state

    We have a small Exchange 2013 environment with one server having all roles. I try to import archive mailboxes from an Exchange 2010 environment. It has worked quite well for a while. However, all import requests are now 'stuck' in 'queued' state. Restart
    of Replication service, transport service and even server reboot didn't help.
    When I run

    I observe that PositionInQueue value tells me that there are 85 import requests waiting :

  • Azure Cloud Service Stuck in "Stopping" state for a long time (12 hours)

    Does anyone have suggestions what to do with the issue I have. I tried to stop my Cloud Service the service is now basically stuck in "Stopping" State and been there over 12 hours. In my Cloud service there is 16 Virtual Machines I am using in
    testing.
    I tried to start Cloud Service but it also failed with error "Could not start the virtual machine deployment.".
    Is there something I could do or some way to get Microsoft Support (without paying extra)? I have "Visual Studio Premium with MSDN" so i have no other support but billing from Microsoft :(

    Managed to find the solution. I stopped and deallocated all the Virtual Machines. After that the Cloud Service status changed to stopped state. After that it was possible to start the Cloud Service again.

    I am using jdk 1.8 and along with it the latest javaFX 8.0.0. I moved to the latest java FX as i was facing issues with custom fonts loading with the previous version of java FX with JDK 1.7. However with the latest version, my webengine is stuck in RUNNING state and the url page is never getting loaded. Anybody faced the same issue with javaFX.     Well, if you have a server in your tree which is down ( e.g. s server you shut off 5 years ago, but neglected to delete its NCP server object ) that will cause the issue, as well as a time sync issue. So these issues you can check and fix. Have you? If its not that, then you have a stuck partition operation. Something is preventing it from transitioning. That could be corruption or one of a number of preconditions have fallen apart. Do you see any errors showing up when you SET DSTRACE = ON and SET DSTRACE = +SYNC +PART You can use the "cancel partition operation" and hope that work, which it may well not. But if it does not, you will have a broken directory and have burnt all your bridges - especially if you 5 minutes later discover that 5 year old dead server object I spoke of.
    What can Novell do that you cannot? A lot. And the guy you will be deal with sees 10 totally messed up beyond all comprehension eDir systems a day and can likely fix your issue in his sleep. IF you "followed the directions" and made a backup of eDir on each server and done a health check prior to the Merge, Novell can use the backups to restore the masters. They have the ability to edit the databases underneath to force things.
    We've all been where you are now. Looking for the Easy Button. But you need to rapidly go through the stages of grieving an get to the acceptance stage an call Novell.

  • Automated Backups failing since V12 Update

    Hi,
    I recently upgraded my database server to the V12 (GA in my region). I have 3 servers running and configured for an automated backup at 12:00 AM every day.
    This morning I discovered we had 20 additional SQL Servers running, each one with an hourly time stamp from the last which I can only imagine is a re-try of the original export. When trying to delete these databases the portal said "An error occurred
    whilst existing this request, please re-send". I did try to re-send several times for each database and they all failed. Approximately 20 minutes later all the databases started to just disappear on their own (After I had turned off the automated backup
    in the settings).
    I checked over the upgrading documentation and couldn't find any details of problems with the Automated backups post upgrade so I am unsure if this is a bug in the system or a problem on the particular databases?
    I have manually run the backups as indicated in the error email and that worked fine.

  • Request Deletion from Cube stuck in execeptional state

    Hi All,
    We are stuck with a strange situation caused by below steps.
    1. We loaded a full request in cube
    2. Next day we scheduled deletion of the request from cube
    3. While deletion was in progress, we deletd the DTP through which the request was loaded
    4. DTP was deleted. Now this request stuck with status 9 (deletion started) in RSBKREQUEST table.
    5. If we check the request ID it shows deleted but we can see the request still in cube
    6. Compression of newer requests is not  happening as they are referrins issue with this stuck request
    Now I am looking for below help
    1. How can we delete the request from cube now
    2. Is there any way to create the DTP with old technical name
    3. Can we compress the request with this request in cube

    As suggested by raman change it to red and then try deleting.Check the backend tables also system is saying its deleted then tables should not have entries for this request.
    2. Is there any way to create the DTP with old technical name
    I think DTP technical name is decided by system so we can not not create tech names for DTP.
    3. Can we compress the request with this request in cube
    Current status of you request is not green so we can not compare it.so delete it first.
