VB Script to connect to Windows Servers (2000/nt/2003/2007) machine and Solve Performance Issues

Hi,
I am looking to develop a vbscript to connect to Remote Windows Server and solve the problems related to
CPU Utilization being high and Disk is running out of space.
I am planning to call that vbscript from a c# application.
Please help me with your expert inputs.

Could you please let me know the things to consider while solving the Disk is running out of space and cpu utlization problem.
There are way too many possibilities to list, especially without knowing the specifics of your systems.
Here's a link to the Scripting Guy's forum, but I highly suggest thinking through your question more thoroughly before posting there. As well, you'll need to post your current script.

AirPrint printers connected to the USB port of the Apple AirPort Base Station or Time Capsules are not supported with AirPrint.

Does anyone have Lion and can connect to Windows servers?

Is there anyone out there who can see the Windows server folders? Or am I (and a handful of others) the only ones who are having this issue? Is ANYBODY able to connect to their Windows server with Lion? (they dropped SMB support in Lion...this is why I'm asking).

What servers are you connecting to? Here at work they use:

Migrating an Oracle Forms 4.5 application from Windows Server 2000 to 2003

We are upgrading a number of servers from Windows Server 2000 to Windows Server 2003 (Standard Edition, R2). Can we re-install Forms 4.5 on 2003 and what is involved. If not, what can we do.

Forms 4.5 has been desupported way before Windows 2003 was ever available. So, you can be sure that Forms 4.5 is not supported on Windows 2003. You could give it a try, but you could very well run into problems.

I can't connect my Windows Vista 64 bit to Time Capsule and Internet

I have just start using a MacBook Air and a wireless network with a Time Machine! I used to have just PC with a simple home network. I get total successful in use the Time Machine and 2 other notebooks with windows XP, but I cannot connect a HP PC with Windows Vista 64 bit, neither to the Time Capsule nor to the internet. These computer are working perfect because I can connect to others Wi-Fi networks with no problems, seems that something is blocking! When I try to access the Time Capsule I get an answer that I should enable the NetBIOS, but I have already checked and it is working properly! When I ask to diagnose the network problem I get an answer that I should re-start my modem and internet connection, which I have done with no success!

I had the exact same error message but it was on an Airport Extreme Base Station. I use a Macbook at my office and there are 2 XP desktops as well and we were using a shared storage hooked into the AEBS in order to share files. One day all of a sudden the XP machines starting displaying the same error message that NetBIOS should be enabled.
After googling every available article I discovered what ultimately solved our issue.
I opened the the Airport Utility app on my Macbook I clicked on "Manual Setup"
Then "Disks"
Then "File Sharing"
I discovered that the default name under "Workgroup" was Workgroup, but our network in the office is called "MSHome" so I changed it to match the PCs and instantly both PCs connected to the shared storage.
Also I changed the 2.4Ghz channel to a number other than the default 11.
I changed the name of the base station to a name less than 8 characters with no spaces and no symbols.
I changed the Wireless Security to "WPA/WPA 2 Personal".
I've been trying to add my fix to other Apple Support pages and they're all archived and closed to replies, so if you haven't gotten your TC to work, maybe this might help.

I can't connect to the drive on my airport time machine and am receiving the message: "AirPort Time Capsule" can't be opened because the original item can't be found.

Time capsule has been working perfectly for months.
Suddenly I can't connect to the drive on my airport time capsule and am receiving the message: “AirPort Time Capsule” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.
Time machine appears to be still backing up (last backup within the last hour), but drive is not visible and I have files stored on it.
I have tried rebooting everything in order as suggested for other issues, anyone got any ideas how to see the drive again??

What OS are you running??
It is very typical Yosemite issue.
1. In airport utility does the TC show up.. if so click it.. and see the summary page which will include its IP address. That is what you are after.
From my screenshot you can see the TC address is 192.168.2.57
It might well show up briefly after a reboot or in ipad / iphone version utility. Yosemite is hopeless. The airport utility hardly works.
2. In Finder use Go, Connect to server.
Type in SMB://192.168.2.57 (replace with IP you discover).
If it is possible it will request a password.. type that in and DO NOT FORGET.. to store it in your keychain.
This will work until the TC changes IP which won't happen if it is main router.. but will happen if it is bridged.. so you need to tell me the whole network setup.
Mavericks is nearly as bad and the above instructions should be universal except I would use AFP instead of SMB. Apparently Yosemite is now totally Windows oriented.

HT6437 My itunes cannot locate my ipod. All the sync option are grayed out and diagnostics says that itunes cannot find usb ports and that no device is connected when it is. What should I do to solve this issue?

So itunes is giving me problems. Since around Christmas time, itunes decided to stop reading my ipod. I connect it to my computer with the usb cable and my computer will recognize that a device is connected but itunes will not. If I go to file->devices and try to sync, all of my sync options are grayed out, while before it would just automatically sync.
When I run diagnostics it tells me that under ports that it cannot find usb ports (it has a green circle?), a type of cable isn't found, and that no device is connected with the usb cable (which my ipod is). I have been trying to fix this issue but nothing is working. I've tried restarting my ipod, itunes, and my computer, i've also tried resetting my ipod and uninstalling itunes then reinstalling itunes but nothing seems to be working.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

When connected to more than one Windows server at a time (SMB1 or 2), Excel and Word 2011 will not open files. Disconnect from one server and it works again...help please

I fixed my own issue. It ended up being the two servers had a share on each that had the same name. Once I renamed one of the shares the issue stopped.

I am trying to connect to hidden shared drives on my works servers (MS Active Server) via 'Connect to server' and the cifs:// address. I've managed to locate the drives I need and open files but only as 'read only', the problem is I can't save back to the drive. I get an insufficient priviledges message when I try. I check the info and it says I have both read and write priviledges. Has anyone any more info or remedies for this problem?

Microsoft best practice for server shares is the following:
1. Share the share with Everyone - Full Control.
2. Restrict permissions to the contents of the Share (folders and files) using NTFS permissions.
I would assume you may have set the Share permissions to something other than Everyone - Full Access. Have a look at the section called "A Tale of Two Permissions" on this website for details <http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/Share-Permissions.html>.

I have a windows pc in my office which needs internet connection to verify some of the software i use,
i do not have a wired connection in the room.
can i connect the pc to my mac and connect the pc to the internet via the macs wireless connection?
if so what do i need to do and what settings are requiered as ive tried to plug n play it but it doesnt work!

Use the Internet Sharing option in Sharing preferences. You will be sharing your Wireless connection to your Ethernet port.
Once you check the Ethernet box on the right the Internet Sharing option on the left will become active so you can check it as well.

Errors using ICertView connection from Windows 7 to Server 2003 SP1

I have a RootCA on windows server 2003 SP1. I connect to certificate store remotely using ICertView interface from Certadm.dll to retrieve issued certificates. This scheme works fine from windows XP, but when I call method openconnection (no matter which
way: from powershell, certutil, from code directly) I get following errors:
1. from host not in AD domain "CCertView::OpenConnection No more data available. 0x80070103 (WIN32/HTTP: 259)"
2. from AD domain joined host error is "0x800704C7 The operation was canceled by the user."
However, ICertAdmin interface works on Windows 7 without any problems.
Someone tells me that few years ago hi had checked this scheme and it`s worked!
after this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892500 I have a suspicion thah installed SP1 broke DCOM permissions. I configure permissions on COM host according to this article but connection won`t work...
On Windows 7 I have used 2 versions of certadm.dll - native windows 7 and from Server2003 - all the same :(
Can somebody help me make this work or explain why it is impossible?
