VO Extension Deployment

Hi,
I have extended a std VO oracle.apps.qp.pricelist.massmaint.server.PriceListsHgridVO by custom one
cgt.oracle.apps.xxqp.pricelist.massmaint.server.xxPriceListsHgridVO . I have also added the substitution by editing the BC4J object. I have got project3.jpx file.
Problem is i will put custom VO at location cgt.oracle.apps.xxqp.pricelist.massmaint.server but where shall i put the project3.jpx ?
On java_top do we have any existing .jpx file ? if yes where is it ? and should we replace that .jpx with new .jpx file ?
Please help !!

I'm checked that the signed jar file is working and if I run it locally it will install the files. However whenever I try to run the applet I just gettting a error relating to the fact that the signed jar files haven't been installed, does anyone know why it might not be picking up the signed jar, here are the manifest files :

  • Registry to install extension to FireFox 24

Hi, I want to deploy a FireFox extension automatically to a box via the Windows registry. Before FireFox 23, I am using the steps in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Adding_Extensions_using_the_Windows_Registry to add an extension.
I deploy the extension to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions and create a registry to point to this.
It worked pretty well until FireFox 24.
In Firefox, it seems it does not recognize the extension deployed in this manner. When I open FireFox, click Extensions, I see nothing.
Do you know if there is any step change in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Adding_Extensions_using_the_Windows_Registry for FireFox 24?

  • Applying Software Installation Policy Is Taking Long Time During Boot Process

1 of my servers is having slow boot up issue. I have enabled user environment debugging and the gpsvc.log file has been generated. I have also used the Windows Performance Analyzer to capture logs and results came back that the GP Client is taking a long
time in the boot process. So, I reckoned the slow boot is due to GPO but I am not sure where to look from this log file.
I have only paste part of the gpsvc.log file here due to limitation in the number of characters allowed to be posted. Would appreciate some good advise on this issue that I am facing.

  • OAAM 11g R2: Unable to load java class for custom configurable action

Need to configure a Configurable Action to get triggered for a particular action at a given checkpoint.
    Steps Followed:
    1. Created a java class implementing com.bharosa.vcrypt.tracker.dynamicactions.intf.DynamicAction, getParameters() and execute() methods were implemented in that java class.
    2. Added necessary jars from $ORACLE_IDM_HOME\oaam\cli\lib to the build classpath.
    3. Compiled and created a jar with it.
    4. Extracted the oracle.oaam.extensions.war file into a working folder.
    5. Added the Custom Jar created in step 3 into <working folder>/WEB-INF/lib/
    6. Changed the following in MANIFEST.MF in <working folder>/META-INF/:
    Specification-Version:11.1.2.0.1
    Implementation-Version:11.1.2.0.1
    7. Rejar-ed the oracle.oaam.extensions.war from the working folder using following command:
    jar -cvfm oracle.oaam.extensions.war <working folder>\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF -C <working folder>/ .
    8. Stopped the oaam_admin_server1, oaam_offline_server1 and oaam_server_server1.
    9. Deleted the oracle.oaam.extensions deployment from the weblogic.
    10. Deployed the newly created oracle.oaam.extensions as a shared library for oaam_admin_server1 and oaam_server_server1.
    11. Started all managed servers.
But when I tried to create an action template with the java class I just created, it was throwing following error
    +java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: *+
Unable to load configurable action class *. Ensure the class is made available in the class path.

This thread is a bit stale but I thought it might help to clarify one point about custom jar files on UCCX.
To properly load a custom jar:
Upload it into the classpath directory in the document repository.
Select it under System | Custom Classes Configuration
Finally you need to restart the CCX Engine and the CCX Administration services.  If you have HA you need to restart them on both servers.
    Other notes:
When referencing your class in the CCX Editor, use the fully qualified name of the class.  Lots of other classes use things like Element or Document so you need to be explicit. The editor only knows about the 20 native classes by their object names.  If you create a Document object in the editor you are really creating a com.cisco.doc.Document object.  If you loaded jdom.jar and you wanted a jdom document then you need to create an object of type org.jdom.Document.
When compiling your custom jar files, be sure to compile for the version of Java that the CCX Engine runs.  In general UCCX 7.X and older use Java 1.4.  UCCX 8.X and higher use Java 1.6.  Several of the core Java classes had significant changes between 1.4 and 1.6. If you ran your code on UCCX 7 or earlier and now it fails in UCCX 8.X or higher, recomplile for Java 1.6 and you classes will likely work again.
Finally, check for security violations in UCCX 8.X or higher.  Cisco has restricted some of the things you can do.  These URL's have more information:
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Engine

  • VO Substitution - methods

    Hi,
Can any one explain the methods involved in VO substitution. I would like to know if JPX Import Command is mandatory for a VO substitution. In one of the articles I read, it just mentions about substituting a VO (jpx file creation) but no where I came across the import command.
I would like to know if a VO extension can happen without this.
    Thanks,
    Padmaja

    Hi Cornell,
You need to Import Jpx file and need  to bounce apache for change effect.
Please check below steps for more understanding.
    Deploying Your ViewObject Extensions
    Deploying Your ViewObject Extensions
Step 1:  Compile your Java in JDeveloper and copy ur .xml and .class files to Server
                <$JAVA_TOP>/<CompanyIdentifier>/oracle/apps/<AppsProductShortName>/server (BC4J files)
so, if you extend a "so" view object, and your company's name is "xyz," a subclass of the Ordervompl
view object would be in the following directory:
                 <$JAVA_TOP>/xyz/oracle/apps/so/server/xyzOrderVOImpl.class
                 Set the permissions on $JAVA_TOP/
Step 2:  Copy the .jpx definition file to the Top.
In my case I have creataed JpxFile Folder on JAVA_TOP  and Copied my .jpx file there .jpx file,
which should be located under <JDEV_USER_HOME>\myprojects, to the following   staging area:
                   $JAVA_top/JpxFile/
Step 3:  Run the jpx import utility from JAVA_TOP to import substitutions specified in the .jpx definition
                  file to the MDS repository.
The import utility, jpximport.bat or the jpximport shell script. You run this utility from the command
                  line  by specifying:
                  A. The database credentials of the MDS repository on your target instance
                  B. The fully-qualified location of your .jpx file, which should be located under
                  $JAVA_top/JpxFile/
Using the example on substituting the OrderVo view object from  Order.jpx, your command line
would look something like the following:
                java oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.JPXImporter $JAVA_TOP/xyz/jpxFiles/Order.jpx \
               -username <apps username> \
               -password <apps password> \
              -dbconnection "(description=(address_list=(address=(community=tcp.world)(protocol=tcp)
               (host=<Host Name>)        (port=<PortNumber>)))(connect_data=(sid=<SID Name>)))"
Step 4: Bounce the web server
step  5: Do Personalization If Required
Step 6: Review your deployed extensions
At this point the deployment of your extension is complete, and you should be able to login to your
application to verify that your changes have successfully taken effect.
You can check you Extension Using JDR_util Package
    Thanks,
    Dilip

Has the import command failed? If yes, can someone please let me know the reason.
    Thanks in advance

Do you mean copying JRAD XMLs into $APPL_TOP/... is not required?
(Please note that this step is mentioned in Oracle OAF R12 Dev Guide -> Deploying Customer Extensions -> Deploying a Custom Page -> Step 2: Copy your JRAD XML files files to the $APPL_TOP staging area.)
Also note that I am already running import command for pages as mentioned at the thread starting. Putting the import command again for ref:
    java oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.XMLImporter $APPL_TOP/<companyIdentifier>/ak/12.0.0/mds/<module>/webui -jdk13 -mmddir "$OA_HTML/jrad" -username apps -password <password> -rootdir $APPL_TOP/<companyIdentifier>/ak/12.0.0/mds/ -rootpackage /<companyIdentifier>/oracle/apps/ak -validate -dbconnection

  • Integrate new MA without changing the existing environment

    Hi,
Can any one please suggest me for the below scenario.
Consider in the current environment. , we have deployed FIM sync server  and configured three management agent of type ADDS. There are some rule extension deployed for exchange and Lync. FIM Portal and MS Bhold is not installed and used. Total
    number of user are 15k.
Now we have new requirement to integrate a new  AD and  new  Ldap management agent to provision and  provision  500 user.
For these new 500 users, we also need FIM Portal and MS Bhold.
We don't want to make any  change in the existing  configured MA. Can we implement like this.
    1. Install FIM Portal and MS bhold on the  existing server on which FIM syn server is already installed.
    2. Configured the new management  for new AD and Ldap.
    3. Configured the FIMMA to allow only the new 500 user to provision in FIMService based on some criteria  which can get from the new AD and Ldap.
    4. Do the required configuration of MPR,Syn rule etc in FIM Portal.
5 .Do the configuration  export and import the user in Bhold  for only new 500 users to approval, groups management etc.
    OR
Install the FIM Portal and Bhold and then reconfigure the all exiting management agent using  the FIM Portal GUI.
Please suggest which is best way. If we need to reconfigure the all the existing MA using FIM Portal or just install the FIM Portal and Bhold and configure the  required MA for new 500 users only.
    Thanks
    Harry

    Thanks Dominik for your response,
So it means there will not be any performance issue if we keeps existing MA in Synchronization server (without FIM Portal) and install the FIM portal and Bhold to manage and create new AD and LDAP MA for new 500 users using FIM Portal GUI.
As well as per my understanding, only  500 cals  Licence will be required because only new 500 users will be managed by FIM Portal (FIMService) and MS Bhold. Cals license will not be required for rest old 15K user  because these
will be managed by only by Synchronization server(FIMSynchronizationService ) not FIMSevice.
    Please correct me.
    Thanks
    Harry

  • Winlogon Init in Windows Server 2008 R2

I had a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine that was acting slow on bootup. I have gotten it down to about 20 seconds after being at the control alt delete screen I can RDP into it. During the process of figuring out what was going on I have been running xbootmgr
and reviewing in Windows Performance Analyzer.
The one thing I notice still happening is that there are two Winlogon Inits. The one right after Session Init never ends and either does the post boot. There is another winlogon init right before explorer init that only lasts a few seconds.
How can I troubleshoot a winlogon that appears to almost never end? For example when I look at boot phases summary table for winlogon init the duration is 9223372011.172895400 and around the same amount for Post Boot?
The only thing that has changed is I had a data drive with tomcat on it that was on an iscsi drive. I created a new drive in VMware and moved the files over from there, turned the old drive offline, removed any favorites/targets and so on and turned
    ISCSI to manual.

Here is part of the log. I notice in the event viewer the following details
Completed computer boot policy processing for server in 0 seconds
This server is a copy of another server that is experiencing the same issue. I am using this server as a way to troubleshoot the production server.
The two servers are on different NIC's in VMware and different VLAN's. I have installed the latest version of Symantec Enterprise Small Business Edition and uninstall/reinstalled VMware Tools. Really it is booting and I am able to access it much faster then
I use to but it still bugs me that the first winit logon just doesn't seem to stop.

  • Quality Center 11 (ALM) Query - Integration with Subversion and Jenkins

    Hi OHPCPaT Forum,
Are there any restrictions to enabling the QC integration with Subversion and Jenkins when the QC server is a SaaS cloud instance? Is there any additional config I should be aware of?
    Thanks in anticipation

    Hi,
Yes all the users are facing the issue. Please find more details for the issue.
Currently we are upgrading Quality Center 10.0 to 11.0 with HP Enterprise Integration module for SAP applications. The project successfully upgraded from QC 10.0 to 11.0 but there are some error popup for the project for which Application Module and Enterprise Integration for SAP applications Version 2.6 was enabled
    Quality Center Details:
    HP Application Lifecycle Management 11.00
    ALM patch level: 07
    Quality Center 11.00 Enterprise Edition

    2.Installed Patch Service Pack 2 (Patch 2,3,4)
    3.Installed Patch 6
    4.Installed Patch 7
5.Installed the Extensions HP Enterprise Integration module for SAP applications using Extension Deployment Tool by following the steps provided in the Addin Page
6.Created new project in HP ALM
7.Login to the project (no issue)
    8.Enabled the Project Extensions
9.Login to the project (able to access the project but error message is popup when we access Test plan and Defect module)
Note: There is no error when we access the project for which the HP Enterprise Integration module for SAP applications EI not enabled. QC 11.0 is not integrated with any tools.
Let me know is there any step we missed or we need to do any manual steps we need to do before enabling EI

  • Microsoft Lync 2010 and Cisco APs

My company has extensively deployed Microsoft Lync Enterprise voice and this was an upgrade from OCS R2. Staff in my company have complained often of poor calls over wireless. I have resisted applying QoS for now until I understand fully how Cisco APs and WLCs implement QoS. I recently watched a video from Aruba networks comparing performance of Lync calls over its access points and Cisco access points. The Cisco setup was a 3500 AP and 5508 WLC with 7.0.116 code. There were also other bandwidth consuming applications running at the background. I must say that I was impressed at how Aruba's access point performed over Cisco access points. This is because Aruba does application specific QoS and not the traditional client or SSID QoS.
I am considering making recommendation to management to go Aruba for the upgrade of a larger subsidiary. However, before I make such a recommendation,I have 2 quetstions
    1.  I would like to know if Cisco has revamped its WLC code to better deal with Lync and if so, I would be grateful if I could be shown any documentation or video on how to implement QoS to improve Lync experience.
    2. Also if HREAP is implemented, does the WLC still implement QoS or has this to be handled by the switch since packets are locally switched.
I currently have a mix of 5508 and 4404 WLCs with over 300 1041n APs.

    Osita,
As far as I know, Cisco has not done any optimization specifically for Lync, but as long as Lync is using standards-based tagging for the latency-sensitive parts of the application (voice and video), then you can elevate your WLAN QoS setting to the appropriate metal to allow for elevated QoS-tagged traffic on that WLAN.
Keep in mind that the controller does not actively tag upstream client traffic, so even if you have clients doing other applications on their workstations over that WLAN, that traffic will not be re-marked from best effort to a multimedia QoS level. I.e., you can have a WLAN that shares both data and voice/video in a Lync environment.
If you want to learn WLC QoS from the best (IMO), here is is Jerome Henry doing a 5-part video series explaining and implementing QoS on the WLC. It starts with Part 1, and the goes to Part 2-a, 2-b, 3-a and 3-b:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44t-0JYEwkA&list=UUm3YBBhcJRokmAD1LaJg3hQ&index=15&feature=plcp
Locally switched HREAP traffic will come out into the switchport marked with the DSCP tag given to it by the application. It is up to you to configure proper end-to-end QoS on your network from there.

  • Deploying Application Without codebase and an extension (installer.jnlp)

    Hi,
It seems that the deployment file can be relative to launch.html but the extension file requires the codebase attribute.

  • HELP: failed to deploy and run WL performance monitor, console extension

    Hi All
i downloaded and installed the WL performance monitor, console extension package

As i tried to deploy "performance monitor" web app to the WL server at "Performance

In order to find the PerformanceMonitor web app, the ConsoleExt needs to
examine your classpath to get the appropriate WLHOME. It does this by
searching for .../server/lib/weblogic.jar. Please make sure your CLASSPATH
is correct and matches where PerformanceMonitor is installed. For example,
the path to .../server/lib/weblogic.jar is the same as to ../common/perf. In
my world, they both happen to be d:\bea\weblogic81.

  • I'm deploying FF13 in my organization, how can i disable FF from disabling all plugins/extensions by default?

Our organization requires web services with many plugins. In order to support the latest browsers, we must deploy FF13 company wide. Currently the installation disables all 3rd party plugins by default, requiring you to enable them manually. Therefore, this makes managing a FF13 deployment very difficult. Is there any way to configure it to deploy without it disabling plugins?

Do you really mean plugins (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) or do you mean extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)?
Firefox shouldn't disable plugins unless they are blacklisted, but will display a dialog that shows which (third-party) extensions are found an allow to enable third party extensions.<br />
There is probably no way to avoid such an alert, but you can try to copy extensions to the distribution/extensions folder where also the default theme resides.
