Warranty problem in Croatia

I have bought Toshiba Satellite A665-145 in Zagreb 20.06.2011 and for two days now I am trying to register my laptop for standard warranty as well as for extended I can not do anything about it. I keep getting message that I have already registered but I did not get Certificate or agreement number so I can not register extended warranty so I took next step and followed instructions to send an e-mail with invoice on [email protected] but nothing so far I have not recieved answer.
Problem is that in Croatia we have extended holliday until next monday 27.06.2011 and until than my registration time will be over as I have read on toshiba web page.
Pleas give me some instruction how to resolve this so that I do not lose warranty. Only what I have is invoice from salesman that I got on 20.06.2011
Please I need urgent help
If you can send me contact for Toshiba central in EUrope like e-mail or phone cause I want be able to resolve this in Croatia with dedline of 7 days
Thank you in advance

Hope they will help I already did contact www.mojservis.hr but at Friday they do not work on Monday they do, they have promised to resolve this as wll I recived mail from Germany and also send them serial and scanned proof of purchase.
I really want to have this warranty after horrific expirience with HP in which I had invest that much money that could buy me a new one just to make it work normally and my main reason to buy Toshiba was this warranty and recomendation from my friends.
I belive I made right decision with buying this laptop.

I'm possibly wrong here but I suspect opening a brand new MBP to add parts yourself will void the warranty.  It is probably in the small print.  I certainly would not risk it for an expensive Apple product.
Some (Windows) laptops have easy access to memory and disk slots that do not necessitate taking the complete back cover off.  However, Apple does not make life easy for you.
However, if you are going for a 'used' machine it is probably worth a try.
Not possibly, definitely wrong, Ram and Hard Drive are considered user replaceable and will not void the warranty if changed.

  • Problem with Camileo x100 screen/ warranty problem

    Hello all.
I got the Camileo x100 as a gift from someone, who bought it off of a home shopping network. The camera was working out great for me until about a week ago when a went out to film a video. All the filming went great, but when I got home, the camera screen was totally white. The camera still took good video, and still transfered the video over to my computer, but I am unable to see what I am filming now. Next, I came to this website to get the camera repaired, but when I put in the serial number for the camera, it said my 1 year warranty had run out before the person that bought me the gift had even bought it, and phone support ended right around the date that they bought the product. I would just like to report this problem to the community and see if anyone can help. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever find out anything out about this? stuck on loading screen. Im having the same issue.

  • Thinkpad w520 technical problems and warranty problems

I have a huge problem with my Lenovo ThinkPad W520 (Machine#4270CTO, SN * 11/07) purchased on US website in August 2011. Here is the story below:
In late December 2011 my laptop hardrive stopped working and as I am in Georgia(Caucasus) I went to the Lenovo Authorised Warranty Service Provider (not naming the company). They made the harddrive replacement very quickly and i was happy back then.
By start of January 2012 another problem came - my keyboard stopped completely working and as before I went to the service provider again and the faulty part was also changed in 2 weeks time.
By the end of January several problems occurred all together:
    1. The speakers stopped working completely they just give an itching sound.
    2. The track pad 2 buttons are completely unresponsive (not working) and the same 2 buttons on the keyboard - when I turn the trackpad off completely the keyboard buttons work.
    3. 2 days ago computer completely went off and it is not starting at all. Power button lights on (green) than a flash turns on and immediately off and nothing happens besides the power button light .
I contacted Authorized Warranty Service Provider again some days ago but unfortunately they give me the following answer: They have a limit for service from Lenovo 1 times per computer which means they can order only 1 part replacement a month and as last keyboard replacement they made was on 12th of February 2012 I have to wait.
I'm really confused of the Lenovo quality and service ATM paid over 2,000 USD in a machine that had no sound and track pad for the last 2-3 weeks and now the computer is completely off and I can not even use it.
I used to be a Lenovo/IBM customer for quite a long time not only for my personal use but also for business and I never had problem with Lenovo products before or support. 'm Honestly tired of this computer and situation in general and instead of changing every item(Listed above) and wait 3 months till my Laptop is fully working is just nonsense and also to be an owner of a high priced brick with almost all parts changed under a guarantee is also not pleasant . I'm sort of stuck on what to do and I ask some solution for me is there any way to change the computer to new/refurbished or get my money back?

I have had similar problems, and would recommend the following:
You probably wont get a resolution from the forums, only sympathy (which can help!).
Keep calling anyone you can find to do with Lenovo warranty about the issue utill you get a decent response. I was calling every day for 2 months.  The process was so painful, I now live with the non-critical problems rather than deal with them.
Next time consider Dell.  Their 3ry warranties have been outstanding - shipping parts to me anywhere in Eurpe within 48 hours, or collecting from my office and returning fixed 2 hours later, even in Gibraltar.

  • Warranty -Problems From the Factory-

My recently purchased Yoga 2 (2 months old)has required re-installation of Window 3 times and finally would not let me install any software at all. This problem began 3 weeks after the purchase of the unit and now Lenovo Support will NOT REPLACE THIS FACTORY DEFECTIVE MACHINE!!! Do not buy this computer, Lenovo does not stand by their work!!

If it were me, I'd take it in to the nearest Apple Store and have the experts look at it. It won't cost you anything, you just purchased it so it is still under warranty. I wouldn't waste any time before doing it either.

  • Where can i resolve my warranty problem?

    Hi everybody.
First off all i've got 3 Apple devices (iPad Mini Retina, 2x iPhone 5) and this makes me sad. I live in Croatia (unfortunately) and we have crooked people and companies everywhere, so don't get excited.
2 weeks ago i sent my iPhone 5 16GB BLACK (013551006007691) on RMA because camera was broken. Today (15 day letter) they said it's mechanical thing and there is no warranty. What's more interesting they offered me NEW iPhone 5 in exchange for ~1900 HRK, which is cheap by our standard for iPhone 5. I got pics of phone, and i'll wait for answer, because this looks like a scam to me.
Second thing i sent yesterday my brand NEW iPad Mini Retina 32GB for RMA because of yellow screen on top, and what now i expecting is to see another "scam" like this.
If anyone in Apple EU reads this, please contact me through post or mail ([email protected]) because i need to take some measure to deal with this mess. Also if anyone know nearest APPLE SUPPORT/SERVICE (IT/SLO/HUN) let me now, i'll contact them.
    Thanks

That's why Apple Store works in every country. The only way you can get your warranty working is by sending it back to the US so they can send a replacement or do whatever they need to do. Get it to your closest Apple Store
    From https://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
Edit: "If you seek service in a country that is not the original country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. Where international service is available, Apple may repair or replace Apple Products and parts with comparable Apple Product and parts that comply with local standards."

  • What to do now? (Warranty problems)

    Hello everybody!
Unfortunately i had to make this forum account in order to place some questions since the http://support.msi.com havent responded yet (issue submitted on 4th of August). Hope i am in the right place to ask a few questions  .
To make the problem short: I bought in February 2010 a video card MSI GeForce GTX 275 Twin Frozr OC. All was great until one day it started to show artefacts, random freezes and other problem. After searching the forums, tech-spots and other possible informations i decided to return the product to the store i bought it from. The mess started here and in the end they refused to service my product on the cause that on the video card the sticker with the S/N is missing. More hassle with the Customer Affairs (until today) and unfortunately nothing is solved. So in this point i have just a faulty video card that i cannot use and its still in warranty but the seller doesnt want to service this warranty. (kinda messy and long, sorry for that ).
What i would like to know in this case:
    - is there a way to identify the S/N of the card without the sticker?
    - if the above question is negative, what can i do to service my video card?
    - as far as i know, the one that would replace if the card is faulty would be the producer of the card. is this true?
    - can i bypass in any way the usual service channel in order to get the service for my card?
It's long and nasty this post. I just hope that maybe i can get some answers here (maybe similar problems?)
    Kind regards,
    Alex

The serial number can usually also be found on the video card box and should also be mentioned on the purchase receipt you got from the reseller. In case all three are missing in your case, then there is really not much else MSI can do (besides refusing the deal with this case).  They need a serial number!

That depends on where you live and what the local regulations are.  I live in Germany and here the chain of service looks like this:
MSI <-> Distributor <-> reseller <-> end user
The only contract the end user has, is with the reseller.  In an RMA case the card is cycled through the whole chain back to MSI.  Whether or not the end user receives a replacement is not up to MSI alone.  Let's say that MSI decides to refund the card:  It will pay the money to the distributor and it is then up to him to forward it to the reseller, who can then forward it to the end user.  When a reseller sells a card to an end user, he will make profit with it by asking a higher price then he paid to the distributor.  MSI will of course not refund the profit the reseller made with the card.
This is how it works over here in Germany.  No idea what the regulations are in your country.
In any case, your DEFINATELY NEED a serial number, otherwise MSI will rightfully refuse to deal with the card.  Otherwise it is like trying to get repair service for a card in which the "serial number" was filed/rasped off the engine.

    Dear Vernon,
    Thank you for contacting Newegg.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I show the manufacturer warranty for this item is only 1 year. The Newegg replacement period for this item is 30 days from the original invoice date. Unfortunately, this item is passed the return period. You will need to take advantage of your end user warranty by contacting the manufacturer for a replacement. Here is their contact information:
    Website: http://www.toshiba.com/tai-new/

The 4 years extended warranty you purchased are covered by a third party, Service Net. They do not take effect until after the manufacturer's warranty ends. I can give you a link so you can see the general info. However, if you would like to know details about the terms and conditions of their services, we suggest contacting Service Net directly. http://www.newegg.com/CustomerService/ExtendedWarranty.asp

  • IPhone 5 - Swap - Warranty problem

    Hi,
I bought an iphone 5 in October 2012, last month I send it to legal warranty of 24 months (In Portugal), the iPhone has been replaced, the report from the technical assistance said that the equipment has been "swap", I receive a "new" iPhone, but not a new warranty.
The last time this occurred with me, it was with an iPhone 4 and they give to me a new warranty (24 months), but in this case the seller said that Apple only give new warranty on first year of purchase date, so for that they cannot give to me a new warranty.
    Someone can help me?
    Best regards,
    Carlos Silva

I don't know the law of you're country, I mean, I do not know in which country you live.
I used this platform to someone advise me on what I should do in this case, but I understand that it is easier to question what I say than help me.
But I'll tell you that it's Apple it says on your page in Portuguese-PT to an iPhone that was replaced during the warranty period is entitled to a new legal guarantee.
The Portuguese law for private consumers stipulates a minimum of 24 months warranty under the Act, specifying that when the equipment is REPLACED enjoys new warranty for another 24 months.
This is a fact, a reality.

  • Warranty problems

I hope to receive a directly response from apples people,I bought  and iphone5 in usa, that its under the battery replacement program, I just want to know why you dont cover the warranty in Panama if I bought the iphone in usa?

No they are not, unless you travel back to the USA.
    From the warranty documentation:
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

  • Material, service and warranty for single product

    Hai all,
I have to do a scenario like this..
I have to sold a DG set to a customer and have to maintain service and warranty for the same..
Could any one help me how to do this.
Can we use COMMPR01 for this..
    Thanks in advance,
    S.Jenibalet

You cannot ship to an Apple store in another country - they will not
    accept the shipment.
You must either take the iPhone personally to the country where the
warranty is valid or send it to a friend/relative in that country. After
repair/replacement, the friend will have to send the iPhone back to you.
All shipping and insurance costs are your responsibility.
Buy the iPhone where you intend to use it to avoid warranty problems.
Some features (especially 4G/LTE) might not work outside the country
the iPhone was meant for. KSA, UAE and some other countries block
FaceTime from the iPhone and FaceTime cannot be installed on those
iPhones even if used outside the restricted areas.

  • T61 - warranty status of the machine got accidentally changed to expired and cannot be reactivated

    Hello,
two years ago, I bought a lenovo T61 with three years of warranty *home service*. Soon after, I needed a service repair of my notebook. At this time it was no problem to register my machine at lenovo and to get the service repair.
Unfortunately, two month ago, there was again the same problem with my machine. When I then tried to call in the service, the lenovo warranty system claimed that my warranty had already expired the exact day I actually had bought the machine. I looked into the lenovo forum and found out that others had similar problems. So I followed the adwise in this forum to adress to [email protected], but lenovo kept on telling me that there had never been a warranty on my notebook. I sent lenovo the original bill, on which is written *bought with three years of warranty, home repair service*, I sent them the invoice tracking number of the first service repair, I even contacted my licenced lenovo dealer to confirm that the machine was not accidentally sold as a broker machine *lenovo suggested this*, but still the company refuses to accept my warranty. So, in compliance with my lenovo dealer and after two months of many, many e-mails with lenovo, I now try to find help in this forum. I would be happy if somebody has an idea what to do with my warranty problem.

    Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

  • Is the warranty transferable?

Hello. Thinking about buying a two-month old iMac from a friend. He bought from an Apple store and has the original sales receipt.
If I have a warranty problem in year 1 will the machine be covered? Do I need to transfer the computer into my name some how?
Are there any issues with purchasing the extended warranty?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The initial warranty is based on the serial number. When you need service or support that's the first thing they ask for. If you do want apple care, then you should buy it yourself, in your name, because transferring apple care is much more complicated.
You can read the entire thing here.
    6. Transfer of Plan
You may transfer this Plan to a new owner of the Covered Equipment by sending or faxing notice of transfer to AppleCare Administration, P.O. Box 149125, Austin, TX 78714 — 9125, U.S. (fax number 512 — 674 — 8125). You must provide the Plan Agreement Number, the serial numbers of the Covered Equipment being transferred, proof of purchase of the Plan, and the name, address, telephone number and email address of the new owner.

  • How to avail product warranty if the unit was bought from other country?

how to avail product warranty if the unit was bought from other country?

You can't and iPhone warranty is NOT international - iPhone warranty is country specific so if you have warranty issues, then you will need to go back to the country of original purchase - nothing more to do.  This is exactly why it is not a good idea to buy iPhones abroad - you should buy an iPhone in the country that you live in and want to use the phone in and then you will not have warranty problems.
