We reset back to factory settings, we had to try a few email addresses before finding one we could use. Now it is asking to verify one of the email addresses we didn't use. How do we get out of that?
We reset back to factory settings. After a few attempts we found an email we could use to set up as Apple ID. Everything was working great. Now it has pulled up one of the email addresses we tried to use, and is trying to verify, and asking to continue to complete the set up. It gets to a certain page, and stays there, won't let us get out of the page. We shut down the iPad, but it came back to the same thing, when it restarted. What do we do to stop this?
You will need another iOS device or a computer in order to do this, but I assume that's not a problem since you are on this forum.

Did you try starting all over again to see if you can start from scratch now?

I connected my Ipod to the lap top my songs went back to my Itunes but when I add new songs and try to sync my Ipod, the new songs won't appear on my Ipod. I have a iPhone 5. In usage, it says i have 2.1 gigs used because of photos and camera. I have deleted all my photos via iPhoto and now reset the phone back to factory settings in order to try to solve this problem, to no avail. Both iTunes and the phone say that 2.1 gigs are being used, even though the phone now has nothing on it. What is going on?
Yeah it works fine over wifi the problem is when I try to use it over my 3G. It's really stressing me out now.

Why don't you sign into www.icloud.com on your computer and locate both iPad and iPhone.

Hold Sleep and Home buttons for 10 seconds until your device restarts, so you will be able to use it again.
You need at least 50 MB of free space to back up onto iCloud. Open Settings > General > Usage, and remove applications that you do not need -
I use dial-up, FireFox 5.0, Yahoo addition 1.8. My screen load times have slowed down to a crawl. I have to wait and wait for a page to load. I'm having the same problem. Dreamweaver is supper slow. Uploading and downloads from the server... any server I use two different servers. It times out all the time. Menus are slow too.
I'm on a MAC Pro, 6 gigs of ram no issues with anything else. I have talked to Apple they have checked everything for me. They say it's Dreamweaver. I've noticed the Dreamweaver is talking to the FTP even when I'm not doing anything.
I've tried cleaning out my MAC caches, turning off file check and check out. Still really slow. I've worked with Dreamweaver for 6 years never any issues like this before. 18 seconds to upload a 4 kb file. 11 seconds to download the same file. -
My daughter has an iphone 3gs and it required an update. So i connected the iphone to itunes for the update and the iphone locked up . I had to reset the iphone back to factory settings and now the iphone will not activate , Please advise what i can do to get this working for her ?

original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless

Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone. -
My daughter' iPad is stuck in Guided Access. How do I get out?
Try resetting the iPad - press and hold the Poewr and Home buttons until the screen goes blank, then release them. The iPad should reboot. Go straight into the Settings app and turn off Guided Access.

I am trying to use and education program that needs Java applets and it will not run on Safari. IE will not install from the web. How do I get a browser that will work to install so I can use this program when I travel.
Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.

VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. I just discovered a solution! Go to the upper right hand corner in Firefox where the search bar is. Click on the icon and you'll get a drop-down menu. Go to "manage search engines". You can then delete all the no-good ones, like Bing and Yahoo.

Have you tried a reset yet?
To do this on an older nano with a click wheel, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If it's a 6G Nano, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons together until you see the Apple logo.
Any luck there?
