Weekly lot size calculation with scheduling lines

Hi,
We are using WB = weekly lot size calcultaion for purcahsed material.
We are also using Scheduling agreement and MRP is creating schedule lines automatically, but it does not take into account the weekly lot size.
If we have three different requirements coming from different end products for same week, but different date and then we run the MRP, SAP will create three different schedule lines for the same date. Is it possible to configure system so, that it will create one schedule line in that case?

jaana

Hi,
We are using rounding profile and minimun lot size from the Quota arrangement. Roundings seems to work fine.
Which plant parameters you mean, I have check the MRP plant parameters, bur is there some point which will effect for the gouping?
Thanks and regards,

Why is this system is not throwing correctky the requirment on every MOnday.
Is there settings need be done to get this.
Your valuable answer will be appreciated.

Please check your settings in SPRO:
    SPRO > Production > MRP > Planning > Lot-Size Calculation > Check Lot-Sizing Procedure
...here you can check "Scheduling" field (V439A-TERBV) of lot size "WB". And you can check also field V439A-LGTER.
    F1 help for the field:
Scheduling for period lot sizes in short-term area
This indicator defines the time in the period the system is to create the availability date or the start date for the lot for period lot-sizing procedures.
The availability date is the date on which the material, including the goods receipt processing time, is available again. In the MRP list, the availability date is equal to the MRP date.
In in-house production, the start date is the order start date, in external procurement the start date is the release date.
    The following procedures exist:
Availability date equal to requirement date
    Availability date at period start
    Availability date at period end
    Start date at period start
Planned order start date at period start and availability date at period end
With this setting, the in-house processing time in the material master record is ignored.
    Note
The following is valid in all cases:
If the start date lies in the past, the system switches to forward scheduling. The following example illustrates how the system procedes:
The period start is Monday and the period end is Friday. The planned delivery time is 8 days. The indicator for determining the date is set to, "availability date at period end".
Today is Monday, a requirement is planned on Wednesday. The system has to schedule forwards. As the system works using date determination, today's date is not selected as the start date. Instead, the system determines the next period end, and uses backward scheduling to calculate a start date that does not lie in the past. This means that the end date was planned for the Friday of next Week.

  • Weekly lot size configure

How can i configure the weekly lot size which should plan the matrilal in the week days not at the start of the week .
as per my knowledge if it is weekly then As standard the system tries to schedule the receipts for the first requirements date in a period for the weekly lot size (WB).
for WB (weekly lot size ) it will not accept the other lot size  in the customization.
    Plz let me know
    Regards
    piyush

    Hello sir  ,
    Thanks for the reply ,
The requirement is a new lot size like WB, but the End of planning time fence (10days ) should not be rounded to the start of next week.
actually our client wants to use the Planning time fence 10 days  & total replinishment time 10 days for the material & that should consider in the planning the material  & in the MD04 screen also it should look with the same date .
i have mentain the planning time fencce 10 & total replinishment type 10 days but when i see the md04 it is showing the differant dates to me
    example from todays date for
todays date 31.04.2009 (5 day working as per the factory calendar)
19.04.10 -- end of time fence
If i want "End of planning time fence" date is same like "End replenishment lead time.
14.04.10 -- end of replinishment time
14.04.10 -- end of time fence
how i will achive this .
I have used the material with firming type but i am not able to see the the replinishment time in the MDo4 as mrp element as a .
please provide me a details .
    Thanks in advance

  • Weekly lot size

    Hi,
Want to plan material based on weekly lot size. However, am working in a region where week begins on saturday and ends on thursday with friday off.
Have tried maintaining a planning calendar for the same and used lot size PK.Also, have maintained the factory calendar accordingly but, the system does not give desired result.
    Am I missing something?
    Tarang

    1. In Factory calener in spro, use No. first workday as 5 (i.e Saturday)
    2. Have you updated the new factory calender in the Plant.
    3. In Planning calender , Period begin on following weekday = 6- Saturday
    4. have you updated Planning calender correctly in material master

  • Sales Order Stock - Problem with Schedule line

    Hi guru,
I have a problem with my schedules line.
We use the Sales order stock ( using MB1B with good movement  412/E) for some specific customers.
Even if the sales order reservation works well, there is an issue with the schedule line in the order.
Indeed when i enter the material in the order the schedule line display an availibily in 8 days even if the material is out of stock or available now....
When i enter the same materila in a standard order(with item category without special stock E) the schedules line are good...
What is it the most weird is that i have done the customizing by copying the standard item and i have just added the special stock E in the item category.
    If anyone can help me!!
    Thanks a lot

    hello Lakshmipathi,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I tried to change the requierement class in order to put one with special stock E as you explained, but i still have my weird schedule line. When i put the item in the order it is 0 stock for today, but stock find in 12 days either if there is stock or no(unrestricted stock i mean).
If i change the RDD in more than 12 days the stock is available for the date requested.
If you have an idea of what could be wrong because on my case i want the schedule line to be at 0 while the sales order reservation has not been processed (via MB1B/412/E) and once the stock movement is done the schedule line has to be find.
I dont know if im clear enought..
To be more clear,  i want the schedule line based on the "sales order stock" and not on the "unrestricted stock".
    thanks for your help!

  • Screen size problem for schedule line bdc

    Hi All,
I created a bdc for schedule line item maintainance of sales order thro' VA02,I did all coding on 20 inch color monitor in which the schedule line screen shows 18 lines using that i did recording for bdc.But when keyuser executes BDC on laptop it is not procceding.
Please help me out with solution which is applicable on all kind of screens
    Regards
    Gaurav

When you use BDC, you may have issues with screen size because number of lines displayed in table controls (and step loops) may vary according to the user screen, when the BDC is recorded (depending on recorder screen size), and then executed in A or E mode depending on user's screen size. When it's N mode, a default screen size is used by SAP.
The only solution is then to both record and execute the BDC by activating the default/standard size checkbox (if you use CALL TRANSACTION: it's DEFSIZE field in CTU_PARAMS structure of the OPTIONS FROM keyword).
For more information, refer to the documentation and the [BDC wiki|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/BatchInput-+BDC] + separate FAQ

  • Lot size calculation

    Helllo,
We would like to use the Wilsons formula for calculating the optimal lot sizes. This is not possible with the lot sizing procedures SAP provides.
Is there a way that I can create my own formula for calculating the optimum lot sizes?
    Kind regards,
    Rudy

    Hi,
You can develop a period lot sizing procedure which has a larger period length than the planning horizon. For example, if the planning horizon is 999 days, develop a procedure for 36 months. You can copy the standart lot sizing procedure TB and change the period type and number of the periods. This way all planned orders that would be generated in that period will be combined into one.
    Regards.

  • Lot size EX with Minimum lot size

    Hi all,
I have a query like how will the material behave if the following settings are made
    MRP type:M0
    Lot size:EX
    Minimum lot size:100
    Rounding value:100
    Maximum lot size:300
My main question is is it right to use lot size EX along with mimium lot size value, rounding value,Maximum lot size defined.

    Hi Anshul
Ex is lot for lot order quqntity. It will put lot size exactly what is required from MRP run. During MRP run after net requirement calculation the system will look for Lot size,Rounding value and Rounding profile before making procurement proposal.
You can use EX with Rounding value
If you requirement is 180 Nos and the rounding vaule is 100 the lot size for this will be 200.
Hope this will clear your doubt.

  • MRP - PRs being generated along with Schedule lines

    Hi
Problem statement - PRs also getting generated alongwith schedule lines in MRP.
We have 'PD' MRP type set up for externally procured material with 'F'. I had set up to generate schedule line using the sourcelist. and during the planning run MD03, I am selecting the following values
Create PR - '2' Purchase requisitions in the open period (any value in the three generates a PR/Planned order in the open period)
Delivery Schedules - 3 Schedule lines.
The client requires only generation of schedule lines.  How can I get this done.
    regards
    Nagaraj

    Dear Nagaraj,
For MRP to create the schedule lines automatically, please change to the following settings.
    1. Create Scheduling agreement for the vendor,Agreement type  LP.
    2. In ME03, Source List: Maintain MRP = 2 Record relevant to MRP. Sched. lines generated automatically.
    3. Run MRP
    Hope this helps you.

  • Problem in MD04 with schedule lines ME38

    Hello gurus,
    I've got a problem with ME38 and MD04.
ME38 shows some quantity schedules on a date but in MD04 these schedules are not shown.
    Thanks for support.

    Hi,
Check the GR column on the far right of the display of the schedule lines (MRP doesn't display lines where the sched line qty = GR qty)
    Hope that answers your question

  • Sales Order Credit Status Block with Schedule Line ATP Confirmed Quantity

I would like to keep the Credit Status Block on a Sales Order when it is created and over the credit limit and at the same time be able to Confirm the Order Quantity (if inventory is available) on the Schedule Line.  Has anyone done this?  I'm using ECC 5.0
In the IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Basis Functions --> Credit Management/Risk Management --> Credit Management --> Define Automatic Credit Control --> If I remove the Status/Block indicator the schedule line does confirm the sales order quantity but the sales order is not blocked and a delivery can be created.
    Thanks.
    Donna

    Hello Donna,
I think I solved your problem.
There are two ways to block the sales order - one is to not confirm the Schedule line i.e. block delivery... block further action that can be taken. The second is to not let the person save the sales order.
Another option is to get Just a warning message, that the credit limit has been exceeded, but able to save the sales order with a confirmed schedule line.
The setting will be in OVA8.
For the Document Value you make the setting C or A. and make sure the block is not set.
Don't worry about the Open order or open delivery unless you want the system to perform a credit check considering the orders that are already existent. Same with open delivery. It will take into account all the cost of the orders that are open for delivery.
    Now here some options:
Either consider a 'warning' by the system good enough and still be able to confirm the schedule line.
(ii) Put in a Delivery Block in the Sales Document Types, in the Shipping tab. That way, you will be able to save the sales doc. but not be able to deliver it.
(iii) Put a Billing Block in the Sales Doc type, in the Billing tab. You will be able to deliver but not bill.
(iv) Create a new routine (with the help of an ABAP guy) and place it in the auto credit check, 'Reaction' field where it will place a Delivery Block.
Do let me know what your thoughts are and what you decided to do.
    Thanks

  • Delivery block with schedule lines

    Hi guys,
I have the problems that delivery blocks, custumized as not relevant for requirements, are generating requirements if used in schedule lines.
Header: Delivery block -> NO requirement -> ok
Schedule lines: Delivery block -> requirements -> not ok
That's SAP Standard, but I know, that it is possible to set the confirmed quantity in the VBEP (VBEP) to 0 and to set the fixed quantity field to "X".
    Then is no requirement generated.
I have tryed it in USEREXIT_CHECK_VBEP -> but I don't know how - could anyone give me a tip ??

    Hello Manuel,
Can you add few more inputs to your question? because the given details / input are not sufficient to arrive at a solution.

  • CK727 -Lot size cannot be passed on in combination with mixed costing

    I get below error.
We have KMAT materials and scenario  is Non Valuated Sales Order Stock.
in our PPC4 - we have below settings. (Both are SAP recommended)
Qty Structure tab we have Pass on Lot size "1" with individual requirements (must of Non Valuated Sales) and
Transfer Control "PC03" has "Current Std Cost" with "Transfer only with Collective requirements"
I just created a mixed cost qty structure. In it I even added Costing type "01". Sales order costing type is "18".
Mixed costing works as expected. However we are unable to create any Sales Orders.
Lot size cannot be passed on in combination with mixed costing
    Message no. CK727
    Diagnosis
For costing variant PPC4 and costing version 01, it was defined in Customizing that a mixed cost estimate should be created for quantity structure category M0001. At the same time, it was defined in the costing variant that the Pass_on_lot_size function should be active.
    System Response
Mixed costing cannot be carried out simultaneously with Pass on lot size . Costing cannot be proceeded with.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Kala,
    system's response is correct
In the standard program the combination of mixed costing and
simultaneously pass on lot size is not possible.
    Please review SAP Notes 402440, 584420 and 749128 .
In particular the SAP Note 402440 describes the determination of the
costing lot size at a mixed costing in detail.

  • Lot size use for splitting req. qty. with Two  vendors

    Hello PP experts,
We have two vendors and we want the each requirement to be split into the two vendor with 30 % for 'A' and 70 % for 'B'.
What are the IMG  and master data setting required for the above scenario?
Please let me know whether can will use lot size 'ES' with splitting quota indicator marked in OMI4.
    Waiting for your reply.
    Regards,
    Mona tiwari

    Hi Mona,
You have to maiantain first quota arrangement (MEQ1) for the two vendors with alloting the percentage to split the Planned orders/PRs in planning run. Apart from this maintain the lot size either EX, FS or ES with split indicator marked in OMI4 for the quota.
Yes, maintain Quota allowed key in MRP (4) either in purchaing view or in MRP2 view as said by Prasobh.
    If helps rewards points.
