When trying to install Elements 10 I get message saying failed to install: shared technologies.
I make it almost all the way through installation and at the end I get a message saying installation could not be completed, failed to install shared technologies. What does this mean? How can I fix it?

Are you using dial-up, cable, or DSL? Do you have a slow or fast connection? The former is likely to make it difficult to get a reliable download of a 4 GB file.

I am trying to reload Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 from a bundled disc, after a PC repair. These programs worked perfectly before the problems with my PC.
I do not get a specific error.
The program runs through the process including loading the serial number until, just when I think that the programs are fully loaded I get the following message.
Installation Wizard Completed
The Wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 could be completely installed.
The below mentioned application failed to install.
Shared Technologies.
I am signed on as the Administrator whilst trying to install the software.
I don't know if the folder/files are locked.
I have run the Microsoft Fix It program and that reports that there are no problems.

Downloaded firefox 3.6.8 and now when i execute it all I get is a DONE message at the bottom of the page and I can not access any web site. I have cleared the cookies. I can still get into IE.

You can turn that using either:
* F7 key
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General mini-tab > ''uncheck'' the box for "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

PSE 9 install on Windows 7 (32 bit) fails due to "shared technologies"
I'm installing this older version of elements because it came bundled with an Epson scanner that I just purchased.
The install works fine on other computers running Windows 7.
My computer also has the following Adobe products loaded:
Acrobat Pro 9
Acrobat Reader 11
Contribute CS4 (and associated apps like Bridge CS4)
How can I find out what is stopping the "shared technologies" part of the installation to fail?
This happens way at the end of the installation. Everything is installed but then gets rolled back when the shared technologies failure occurs.See if any of the solutions here help:

when finished browsing the web, i close Firefox and put my computer to low power, or sleep, hours later , turn it on , click on the Firefox Icon , and get a message that mozilla firefox is already running, and if there is a problem restart the PC.

Some apps require Adobe Flash; however, when I attempt to upload the program, I receive message to the effect that my iPad (version 7.0) cannot support Adobe Flash, so I am unable to view some attachments sent. When trying to update Adobe Flash Player, message says no ActionList found.
