Where to get CP tech support?

We have an issue regarding capacity planner host masking.  We have followed the TID's to disable host masking KB 1004482 but the hosts are still masked in capacity planner.
I sent a support request to cp-provisioning but they say to open a tech support request.  Calling tech support sent me in endless circles.  And i cant open it online as its not listed under my available contracts?
This is very frustrating as I must get this planner report for the customer.
Does anyone have an email or phone number for capacity planner support?

you can send your issue to VMware Fieldtools Support: [email protected]
Please include a detailed description of your issue and include your company name. Also attach any logfiles, screenshots other other relevant data to your email.

  • How can I get some Tech Support?

I am new to the world of Apple. IPod drew me in. Since I upgraded to iTunes6 the investment appears to be a bad one. I have tried to seek support on the Apple Dicusssions. The best advice someone could offer was buy a Mac. Not the best advice to offer a Windows user when frustrated with lack of Apple resources.
Is there a paid support I can access? I don't mind paying if someone for sure knows what they are doing. I imagine most of the folks on the Discussion Forums are voluntary Apple Users. Where are the Tech Support people? I wish someone could ask me some intelligent questions and offer me a diagnosis to the problem, atleast.
Many users in their kindness I must admit attempted to help but quickly dropped this hot potato.

    Here's the update:
I was able to get iTunes launched (with the help of Tech Support) in a very unsafe environment. I owe it to those who may need this after me. It will get you going, but you will be extremely vulnerable to internet virus assaults. Please do not use this approach, until you have exhausted every other available solution for your issue in the KB.
There are three Steps 1) Uninstall 2) Disble and 3) Reinstall.
UNISTALL Uninstall iTunes using Windows utility Add Remove Program available in Control Panel.
DISABLE Disable all third party System Services and Startup Items using using MSCONFIG utility as described in Service Document http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302538
    RE-INSTALL Re-install iTunes6 + QT7. Launch it under the Selective Startup Option.
It worked ! You realize among other things at this point you have your Antivirus and Firewall disabled. When I started my computer in the Normal Startup Option, iTunes fails to work again. So I have ahead of me the long and ardous task of ruling out the service that is causing conflict with iTunes6. Then work with the software vendor to arrive at a solution.

  • Where is the normal tech support for help

they have every single kind of help to help you buy a product or 90 day service but after that they don't even provide you with a tech support number or email on the website how sorry is that!!!!!!
i opened up my itune today and all my music and video and ebooks all gone i haven't updated haven't done a think that's bull ****. so is apple going to reimburse me for my time and all the music and video and ebooks i had.

    Relax.
    itunes has support:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes
You can contact Apple from there.
Where is your backup copy? It has always been basic to always maintain a backup copy of all important info/music/ebooks/pics/docs/etc.

  • Where else to seek tech support?

When you have a software problem & get 0 replies/help here, where else have you people gone for support?  Any other recommended forums as a 2nd favorite to this official Apple support forum?
Yes, I know I can pay Apple or I can drag my large iMac to an Apple store along with cables & XHD for my current issue.
Trying Mac Rumors & Macworld Forums.
So where else do you go?
    Thanks.

Thanks, Link Davis, for your reply.
I think you looked up my recent posts & gave me a link that would help me with the big problem I’m having that I detailed in another post.

  • ADOBE FYI: Getting Adobe Tech Support for Flash Player problems

    ALL:
I wanted to take a second to remind everyone here (and
incoming new users) that this forum and most of our other forums
are currently for user-to-user discussions of Adobe products, and
are not an official customer support channel for Adobe. If you need
direct assistance from a support agent please contact Adobe
    support.
Flash Player installation help is available via web case only
    at
    Flash Player
Support. No phone or chat support is available. An AdobeID
login will be required, which is easy to set up.
If at any moment you feel that your Flash Player webcase is
not being handled correctly you have the ability (via the web case
portal that you'll see after logging in) to request an escalation
or provide feedback to the agents. And I encourage you to do so.
You can also re-open a case that may have been incorrectly closed.

    Hi Bentley,
I just noticed something. The link that I pasted, to your
post, does not work either. I noticed why, however, and it seems to
be why the link in your original page does not work, and why the
link in my post that goes to your post does not work.
It seems to be that if a link has a period after it (i.e., if
it is at the end of a sentence), the period is incorrectly included
in the "real" link. Somehow, whatever mechanism that processes the
post has a mini bug in it.
If you go to the link that is results in "Sorry, this page is
not available", and look up into the browser address bar, you will
see the period there each time.
I just thought that I would point this out, too, so that the
web techs in charge of the workings of the forums could look into
    it.
Here is the original link, without a period after it, to your
    original page.

  • I can't see my photos in iCloud Photos on my PC even after tech support, reboot, manual sync and backup. Help?

I'm using an iPhone 5S. When I take photos, they do not seem to sync to iCloud Photos on my PC. I have nine photos in that folder, from one date back in May, but none before or since. I spent hours with tech support today, and we rebooted the phone, rebooted iCloud, checked all the settings, etc etc. The Tech said that she could see photos being uploaded, so we thought it was fixed. However, those photos still have not appeared in the iCloud Photos folder on my PC (Windows 7). I'm using up-to-date versions of iOS and Windows. As a work-around, I've been using Dropbox to transfer photos to my computer, but I'd rather not have to use a work-around with such an expensive piece of hardware.
I'm frustrated because the issue is not resolved, but it seems that I'll have to pay to get more tech support. Jerks.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Getting photo stream to work on a PC can be hit or miss.  There's a long discussion on this with various solutions offered here: My Photo Stream is empty with iCloud Control Panel 3.0.  What worked for me was to change the default iCloud Photos location back to /Photos/Photo Stream.

  • Lightroom Tech Support SUCKS!!!!!!!

To Adobe Corporate---- I have a case that has been going on now for 5 days---I was on a chat when a Sharmji basically shut the chat down in the middle of a conversation. I have spoken to numerous 1st level Tech support people who then try to "FIX" the issue and CAN'T,  and in the middle of EACH SEPERATE TECH SUPPORT PHONE CALL----IT DROPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I call your corporate office in San Jose, and spoke  to the operator--Veronica who said of course"I'm sorry that this has happened, I'll connect you to someone who can help" Yeah right. So she connects  me to : Mandir Bhatia--highest Tech Support---RIGHT????? Ok so then he tells me as everyone else has to try to recreate the problem, and I do, but because my program was taking to long to come up with the error, he tells me to email him a screen shot when it happens. GREAT. Not more than 5 minutes from hanging up on me, my Lightroom 3 decides to crash. So I send him the email with the screen shot, it is understood that he would call me back by the next day----NOTHING,NADA,NO PHONE CALL---SHOCKING RIGHT???????
Okay so today, I call corporate again----out for the Holidays----Nice. So I go to my adobe account and send open the open account and send another screen shot to them. I then call Adobe support, and i speak to a "JAY" right, during my conversation he wants me to do the EXACT SAME THINGS I HAVE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 5 TECHINCAL CALLS-------REALLLLYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! He also makes the comment that this case HAD been SOLVED-----NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO    IT   HAS    NOT  BEEN SOLVED------IT  STILL CRASHES--AND WILL NOT EXPORT A CATALOG  OR  COLLECTION WITH BOTH  COLOR AND B & W IN THE SAME CATALOG, IT ONLY EXPORTS THE COLOR PHOTOS.
The last thing he said for a possible solution, before he dropped the call was to "well try and reinstall lightroom" common guys, WTF??????  ADOBE YOU REALLY NEED TO GET BETTER TECH SUPPORT, OR YOU WILL LOOSE CUSTOMERS.
AND YES I HAVE ALREADY UPDATED TO 3.6 LIGHTROOM3

    98cam,
Your post is in the wrong place. This forum is a user to user forum and most of the users are not Adobe employees. If - on occasion - an Adobe employee posts on this forum, it says "EMPLOYEE" besides his/her name.
Sothe users of this forum cannot deal with your complaint and your complaint will (most probably) not read by the powers that be at Adobe.
If you have specific questions regarding the use of LR you are welcome to post your questions on this forum. But complains won't be answered or solved here.

  • Feature Request to enhance Weblogic Tech Support

    Hi,
I will try to express my idea in "draft" form. I think weblogic architects
can enhance the ideas to hashout all the necessary details.
It will be very good to have following environment variables in
    startWeblogic.cmd / startWeblogic.sh files:
    ENABLE_RECORDING=True/False
    RECORDING_MODULES=JMS;RMI;EJB;ServletEngine;JSPEngine;...
    RECORDING_OUTPUT_TYPE=Text/Binary
Through these variables developers can tell the system to record "important"
information necessary to capture the problem they are experiencing.
The output file (text or binary) can be sent to tech support to reduce
speculation and inhance correct analyzation of the issue at hand.
Each module can be peppered with log() statements that would check the
environment variable and spit-out "important" system status as the product
runs to encounter the problem at hand. Also it will be extremely easy to
capture the WLS version and service pack level, O/S details, JVM details
into the output file. This will greatly eliminate the obvious questions
like: what was the version of WLS? Did you apply SP4?, What was your
    CLASSPATH? etc.,
Developers can use this feature to quickly capture important system state by
replaying the trouble scenario and send the output file for further
    analysis.
This would reduce the total time necessary to debug the problem and also
improves the accuracy of the problem analysis.
I envison that WLS will continue to evolve to add more and more features.
So, A feature like this would greatly improve the assistance developers can
    get from tech support teams.
If these properties can be changed at runtime through weblogic server
console, then it will be extremely helpful to debug production systems
    without restarting them.
Also this feature would greatly distinguish the WLS product from competition
    regards,
    Satheesh Donthy

We have written a JSP that gathers this info from the log file and allows the
customers to email it to whomever or to save it to disk and mail it with their
own mailer as an attachment. So what we have here is functionally complete, but
we want you to test it and give us your feed back and let us know how we should
change it. It is a bit ugly because it has to support so many versions and
there have been API changes and we wanted to make it inclusive all in one file.
Very soon this will be pushed on to developer.bea.com and will also be included
    with SP6
This works fine from 451 to 51 SP-3. This may not work with SP4 as they
are some problems with inner classes in SP4 which we are looking into it..
Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

  • Is there tech support for snow leopard

I'm trying to install windows 7 using boot camp.  i'm a little discouraged.  I've been waiting for about 40 hours for an answer to this question
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/15218517#15218517
and have not gotten one yet.  I'm afraid I won't get one.  The nearest genius bar is an hour away so I'm not keen on spending two hours plus about 10$ in gas to solve this problem.
Do I get complimentary tech support with snow leopard.  It doesn't look like i do but i want to be sure.

You get a certain amount (I forget how much) of free tech support with a new machine.  Not with the purchase of Snow Leopard.  If you have paid for Apple Care, then you can call them for free, otherwise you have to pay for phone support.  Driving to the Apple Store would be cheaper, probably.

  • Where do I get tech support for Micrologic AV?

My software is MicroLogic. Trying to install it on my iBook, OS 9.1. (Would have installed on my iBook G4 but MicroLogic doesn't run on OSX.) In attempting to launch MicroLogic, the program asks me to choose a Midi Connection by going to Option: Settings: MIDI Interface Communication. There, according to the manual (p. 49) a Global Preferences dialog box is to appear, with the setttings "off, USB, Modem, Printer". I am to select one. However, when I actually get to this menu of selections, the settings I am offered are "off, USB Unitor Family (not available), Modem, Printer". Why does the window not match what's in the manual? I am stuck right here at the beginning of the process because I can't select the USB port of my computer, which is the one that's connected to my keyboard. Please help me solve this problem or at least point me to where on the planet I can get tech support; since Emagic was absorbed by Apple there doesn't seem to be any such place. Many thanks.

OMS. If you can still find it. try searching for Opcode OMS (open music system) You need it to run usb midi interfaces in OS9. Good luck, I'd seriously consider getting Logic express.

  • Verizon tech support for FIOS - how to get around the attitude.

Most are helpful, but some are rather disdainful of macs or linux, or act surprised if you have more than one computer.
A: Well, if I only had one computer, why would I need a router?
Linux does not need any special support, and in fact runs quite beautifully on FiOS and the router without any setup at all. It recognizes the router and self-adjusts with DHCP auto. Actually it's much faster and less flawed than Windows.
Linux doesn't have any recognized or known virus. At all. FUD is generated at various times during calls to FiOS support when I make the mistake of mentioning linux. They act like it's going to break their network.
I'm an Admin from MSFT, and MSFT uses linux. Extensively. They just don't like to talk about it. "Seven" = NT 7.0. NT is MSFT's version of UNIX, which they licensed fom Novell.
So, even microsoft contains unix code. Tada.  Lets' drop the operating system arguments for now though.
I have three Dell servers, six Dell and HP desktops, and two laptops. All but two of them run linux full time, and only one is dual boot. Both laptops run linux exclusively and so do three of the desktops and ALL my servers. I've never in 12 years had a linux virus, and I never will. No, I don't even run a firewall, and there is no linux antivirus software accepted by the linux distributions, because it's useless. Not needed.
All of these machines, XP, Vista, Ubuntu, Slackware, and Red Hat Server run on four brainless hubs, or switches. A switch is not capable of DHCP or DNS routing. They are passive devices which are not capable of blocking a router. They only stop working when they die. You can have switches [hubs] in ANY conceivable chain or configuration, and they still work the same, as they all take commands from whatever routers you have.
The only router in my home is the verizon router. I have no need of others, but I've run dual and even triple routers before without a single problem. You set the extra routers to 192.168.2.1 instead of 1.1. Third router? 192.168.3.1. And so on. Painless.
None of these devices have yet failed or ever blocked internet access, yet half the time when I call verizon FiOS, the tech people tell me to connect directly to the router with my laptop. I've always just TOLD them that I did, but I never ever did that. It's not necessary. If you can't connect to 192.168.1.1, the router is dead. checking hubs is an astoundingly simple task that only takes a second... you just go to any other computer on that hub, or plug in my laptop, and see if you can get through. I've had one hub fail in the last 8 years, and that didn't fool me for more than a minute. I replaced it and was back in biz without tech support help.
ONLY in the instance where only ONE computer is down, does it make sense to isolate the router. Thus, the FiOS people are just trained to eliminate the obvious, but they also talk smack. MOCO? Why would I have a major OC24 type network connection in my home? I've been hit with just such questions. Wouldn't verizon know if I had a backbone connection through them???
Here's the deal: Buy your own equipment, and get warranties. Unless the external box, ONT I believe they call it, has died, you're not likely to get a lot of support anyway - since verizon will not talk about anything other than their router and the ONT.  Save time and just be aware of your own eqiupment. I'm on my sixth day of having no FiOS since Verizon sent me a new also bad router and now I'm awaiting another replacement by the UPS people. Speed is not a hot button issue with verizon service apparently, but they are better than comcast.
Good thing about verizon is that they don't appear to cap bandwidth, and for that I respect them no matter how much garbage I get from a few of the tech support staff. Even most of those people are pretty nice. One of them actually talked linux with me for a half hour, and that was a breath of fresh air.
Verizon needs to realize that there are three to six times more linux operating systems in use now worldwide than all windows products combined. The US Army and US Navy have switched to linux systems and dumped windows. I'm shopping for another new desktop, and I'm only buying penguin computers. I won't buy "7" because I've seen the source code, and don't have a high opinion of it. Linux is more robust, and for whatever reason, MSFT still refuses to implement the System Five and UNIX security levels that are inherent to a safe Operating System, and a kernel component of unix. I don't see why not. NT is capable, but all suggestions to turn it 'on' are ignored.
I want to see verizon get with the program and start to support linux. After all, it's fifteen times cheaper to maintain, and three times less expensive to develop for. Verizon would never have to deal with spyware and viruses from its users ever again. One day I hope verizon will wake up.
In the meantime, it would be nice if the tech support at FiOS wouldn't misinform clients and customers about linux, macs, and having several computers in the home. There's nothing at all wrong with that. I just bought a netbook from you folks and I'm using that now to get online.

All I have to say about that is, "People fear what they do not know." Everyone has a comfort zone. Some people's comfort zone is larger than others, or encompasses different aspects of life. Most Windows users aren't comfortable with Mac or Unix operating systems. Most English speakers aren't comfortable with foreign languages. Most two-year-olds aren't comfortable with spinach.
    C'est la vie.

No, but if you really mean that the way you said it, I don't know that Print is the best way to this. If you haven't already, after selecting the images you want to get printed, try clicking the Export button in Book or Library module and then selecting format .PDF. Once you export the file to .PDF, try opening it where you saved it and printing from there, not in Lightroom but in Adobe Reader. If that doesn't help, here are a couple of videos that might--follow their instructions carefully with no shortcuts:
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4's Export to PDF Using the New Book Module - YouTube
Lightroom 5 - Exporting Images | Getting Started with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 | Adobe TV
If Lightroom keeps closing even when you try all this, you may need to reinstall Lightroom because your copy may be screwed up.

I am trying to install windows 7 on my macbook pro 13", when i run bootcamp it tells me that there is not a windows support software available for my computer. Where can i get the windows support software for my macbook?

Apple only supports Windows on certain hardware.
    http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.
    http://refit.sourceforge.net/
This above is a advanced procedure which requires knowledge how computers and various operating systems, drive formats and so forth work.
I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Also one shouldn't be doing this on Mac hardware that is under AppleCare or warranty as it might be voided. Proceed at your own risk and education.
