Why after new changes in internal orders settings order number ranges lost?

Dear Gurus,
We have noticed that order number ranges are being lost from time to time.
Than we have analysed that sometimes it happens after new transfers with new orders settings.
Why the system behaves like that?
And how can we avoid this problem?
With best regards,
Kamila.

The process is as below to assign/change number ranges to order types
Create Order type at KOT2 (KOT2_OPA) and enter Order Category ...say 01
Enter Order type name and description and SAVE
Select Number range Interval assingment Icon
At last row of the number range screen you can see your newly created Order Type
(Put the cursor on your order type and press F2) and Select the check box of group under which you need to assign and press F5
Now the newly created order type has been assigned and new number range has been assigned
So you can change existing order type also as mentioned above (even after posting made to that order types)
This could be the reason for changing number ranges to order types
Please take care while assigning number ranges to a new order types.  Do not touch number ranges of existing order types

Check to see if you have an old phone number associated with this person in your address book. When you call someone on Facetime it calls ALL numbers/emails associated with that persons contact sheet! This was my problem, this stranger has my husband's old phone number!

  • Internal order types and number ranges

We have two SAP instances and want to load Internal order types and number ranges and Internal orders from 4.6 to 4.5 version.
I need to determine if there is an overlap of number ranges for the internal order types used in 4.6 and 4.5
Could you please help me how to approach? Manually verifying each range in both system is a tedious job and very confusing as the numbers are too big.

    Hi,
I can suggest one thing which seems to be worth trying. Involve one technical guy in downloading the number ranges as well the orders of the numbers used from both the system and compare it. Then compile them and upload it again.
    Trust this helps much!
    Cheers!

  • Upon saving, assign sales order to different number range...

    Hello Experts,
We have a new requirement wherein upon saving the sales order, I have to check its company code and
sales document type and if it has a record in a customized table, then I have to use another number range instead
    of its default number range...
For example, the default number range for sales orders for company code 1000 with a document type of ZAOR
has a default number range of 3011000000 to 3011999999. I need to change it to 3021000000 to 3021999999.
Hope you can help me guys. Thank you and take care!

A new numner range can be created via SNRO.
Also, you can use the following exit to assign this new numbe rrange to the order -> USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE
For more info; refer Re: User Exit No for assign a different internal document number to VA01

    Hi,
In CO82, define groups of order types. Define number intervals and assign number intervals to groups. Organize order types that you want to assign same number interval under groups.

Does anyone know or have any similar case like this?

iMessage and Facetime, when activated, use SMS to contact a number in the UK in order to activate the service. But they usually warn you before doing so via an onscreen message.
That is all I can think of. Are you using an iPhone supported carrier in Portugal?

  • KO01 Internal order number range Pru00E4fix+internal number

    Dear all,
we have one worldwide controlling area.
We would like to set up as less as possible internal order types. As you know you can assign behind each internal oder type the number range.
We would like to have a number range with the company-code prefix + an internal number:
    Example:
    Using one internal order type:
    expected numbers:
    DE10000001 (DE10 = company code)
    DE10000002 (DE10 = company code)
    CZ10000001 (CZ10 = company code)
    CZ10000002 (CZ10 = company code)
The prefix should be selected from the company code which we enter manually in TA KO01. The number should be generated internal!
Have you maybe already implemented a similar solution?
One option could be a user exit + using Transaction SNUM???
    Thanks for a feedback!
    xmchx

We did a similar thing for SD Invoices with enhancement for SNRO restricting for sales order types.  We had the number ranges stored in an external table (Z table) and picked up from there.  But our co. codes had numerical ids.  But is certainly possible to do similarly for your requirement also.  But in that case, number ranges will be handled by your enhancement routine and not by SAP.

  • Order type & Number Ranges

    Dear All,
Am having A, B and C products. A & B produced in plant and C in other plant. I have used standard order type PP01 for all the products. Now clients wants different number ranges for A , B & C. How to go about it. Should i create three different order types. Is it possible. When am creating new order type its popping up order type already exist. is it possible to have two different order types in one plant. Please put some light on this order type.
    Regards,
    Saravana Srinivas M

    Hi Saravana,
    Please try out this,
1.In <b>OPJH - Define Order type</b>,As u said you are copying from PP01 type, after copying change the name of the order type and save it.(EG let it be TT01),again carryout the same step to create 2 more order types say TT02 and TT03.
2.In <b>OPL8 - Define Order type dependent parameters</b>,Enter the settings for the newly created order types for TT01,TT02,TT03 and save it.
3.In <b>CO82,Define the number ranges</b> for individual order types as explained by our friend ,If you want external number assignment then Include a tick mark agianst the check box for an order type save it.
I hope now the system allows you to assign number ranges as per you need.
    If useful reward your points
    Thanks & Regards

  • Number Ranges In Order Type

    Hi All,
I created a order type copying an existing one  with a object class of overhead costs assigning a number range. When i transport it in to production the number range has not been assigned. After that i deleted the created order type and re created it manuall. Same problem occuring. Plz advice why this is happening and suggest me an answer.
    Thanks,
    Ama

No. Ranges alwas you can create in the repective clients as these are not transportable properly.
    So, please go to KOT2_OPA
select your order type and double click it
Click on change intervals button and assign the number ranges.
If you want to create a new number range, please go to KONK
    Click on maintain groups
    inside Interval --maintain.
assign this no. range to your order type, if you want.

  • Number ranges for order types

    Hi
I want to differenciate numbering of rework order type from the standard order type.Assign different number ranges to different order type.
    Shankar

    Hi Mr.Shankar,
    Please try out this,
<b>1.In OPJH - Define Order type,As u said you are copying from PP01 type, after copying change the name of the order type say for Eg for Rework ucan chage it as RW01 and save it.Again carryout the same step to create 2 more order types say TT02 and TT03.
2.In OPL8 - Define Order type dependent parameters,Enter the settings for the newly created order types for RW01,TT02,TT03 and save it.
3.In CO82,Define the number ranges for individual order types as explained by our friend ,If you want external number assignment then Include a tick mark against the check box for an order type save it.</b>
While using CO82,after going into the exact screen,in the top goto Group-Maintain groups (or else Press F6)and in the bottom of that page you will be able to see the newly created order types (which you have created) and now you can select the types and assign the number ranges in a different way for different order types.
I hope now the system allows you to assign number ranges as per you need.
If useful please reward your points
    Thansk & Regards

  • Number range for order booking in CRM

cAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHERE WE HAVE MAITIAN NUMBER RANGE FOR ORDER BOOKING IN CRM
    tHANKS IN ADVANCE
    BJ

    Hi Bagavath,
The number intervals can be defined for activities, opportunities, sales and service transactions UNDER THE SAME PATH.
    IMG-CRM-Transactions-Basic settings-DEFINE NUMBER RANGES
    Note:
Within the Internet scenario, you should set internal number assignment for business transactions in the CRM system. For internal number assignment, the document number is automatically proposed by the system within a specific interval. Since the sales orders are transferred from the CRM system to the R/3 system, you should set external number assignment in the R/3 system -this means number assignment which is not proposed automatically by the system.
The interval for internal assignment in CRM should be the same as for external number assignment in R/3. In this way, you can make sure that the sales orders have the same number in the CRM system and the R/3 system.
