Work Order check while completing PM Notification

Dear Friends,
I want a check in my PM Notification. while the notification is completed the related work order status should be "Technically completed". Can this be achieved by config?

Hi,
There is no configuration that allows this type of check.
You could use a exit such as QQMA0014 to prevent completion based on your own logic.
Possibly prevent notification completion when there is a order attached, then notification can only be completed when order is completed from IW32.

Termination error while creating and saving Work Order from a Notification

Hi All,
While creating Work Order from a Maintenance Notification, we get a error message "Update Termination OPROL Initial Number". This happens even while creating Maintenance Notification & Work Order separately and assigning the Notification in the Objects tab of the Order subsequently.
Could any body please help in this issue.

User status for Notification and Work order

We generate Service Notification IW26. I have already configured user status like PMND (Planning order not done), AWOP (Awaiting ordered parts) etc. in the Work order a while ago. Now the user wants same User status to the Notification as well. I like to know from experts what is the value added to have the same user status for both Notification and Work Order?
Do you have any suggestions?

The customer intent behind this requirement must be to check in reporting / List Display Transaction about the Order Status. If they want to know looking at a Pending Notification List about the Order Status, you can always provide similar report using SAP Query Builder or with help of your Developer.
Apart from that If the Requirement is to have these User Statuses in Notification itself, Please advice them that it will be extra activity while performing transaction.
I dont see any other benefit of having User Statuses added to Notification as well.
Do let me know if you have some more info on Why Customer is requesting this....

My question was initiated from PM module forum, please check above URL if you have time.
My ultimate problem is that :
"SMOD" Enhancement "QQMA0018" needs to receive its origin data of work order when the execution time of IP10 or IP30.
so that I can decide/calculate desired dates on the notification according to its origin work order date .
Do I need to use "export/import memory" statements to communicate with origin work order?

I just made test data in our DEV server,
Work orders has been created by "IP30" which was executed today with its maint. plan( date format DD.MM.YYYY ).
below work order has been created and the basic start date seems derived from plan date.
below image is showing our 'SPRO' configuration for the PM priority.
"ZM03" order type is using "ZP" priority type.
(I don't know why is this work order didn't take the values defined on 'priorities for Each Priority Type' for calculating "basic start" & "basic finish" date, it seemed just copied same date with PlanDate)
you can see the notification which is created automatically by work order as below.
"M4" notification type is using "ZP" priority type as well.
It took the 'required start' date by adding 2 weeks from today(=creation date) as 'priorities for Each Priority Type' has defined and 'required end' date also set to 6 months later from 'required start' date.
(Am I right?)

Preventing Deletion indicator in PR once work order is completed

Dear colleagues,
Users create work orders in IW31 with the choice of external service; control key is PM02. Once work order is saved purchase requisition (PR) is created in background. With reference to PR, purchase order (PO) is created by purchase specialist.
When work order is technically completed (system status TECO) deletion indicator is set to PR line item(s) automatically which result in undesirable situations since PR(s) has subject to release strategy in our system.
Is it possible to prevent setting deletion indicator in PR once reference work order is technically completed?

Hi,
In this case that behavior has negative effects on PR Workflow process because in our system when PR(s) is created it is subject to release strategy according to preconfigured conditions.
Once the order is technically completed (TECO) deletion indicator is set to PR line item(s) automatically meanwhile release strategy tab is disappeared from PR line item(s).
In addition to that in ME54N system gives the MEPO822 (Purchase requisition XXXXXXXXX cannot be released) message even PR is approved before the order is technically completed.

Problem while Creating Service order through Work Order

Hi Gurus,
I have a problem While creating Service order (me21n) through - Work order it contains service requisitions.
So that means they carry information such as G/L and work order number while entering the requistion no in PO Creation Screen (me21n) which automatically should be picked from the work order refference.
But problem here is the service items and all other are assigned to PO except the Account Assingnment tab which is GL Account and Work Order No and Cost center..
Can anyone explain me this?
Is this something that one can explain?

Work Order Material Availability Check Customizing

Hi,
I am currently trying to set up material availability check in the work order before saving. I am testing it by entering a material in the work order for which there is zero stock. Then clicking on ORDER > FUNCTIONS > AVAILABILITY > CHECK STOCK MATERIAL. However SAP would return 'All checked materials in order 100000317 are available' in status bar.
My customizing is as follows:
Define Checking Rules (SPRO):
PM     Checking rule for plant maintenance
Define Scope of Check (OPJJ):
   Availability Check: 01 (Daily Requirements)
   Checking Rule: PM (Checking rule for plant maintenance)
   Availability check: 2 (Check availability during order release)
    Stocks

    StockIn Transfer: X
    Incl. quality insp. stock: X
    Replenishment lead time
    Check without RLT: X

I would appreciate if you could indicate if I am missing something in the customizing or if there is some sort of error. I would like SAP to display a system message on the status bar stating that this material is not available once the user enters this material.

I'am facing the almost the same problem. Could anyone tell me:
1. How to make material availability check work during Work Order creation?
My requirement is Work Order can not be created when it has missing parts. I have set the config to '3' can not created when is has missing parts, but it still does not work.
I have implemented SAP Notes 1148139 on my system (SAP ECC 6 Ehp 5) also, but still does not have any effect.
I must not set the config Res./Purch Doc creation to 'immediately', because it does not fit to my user requirement. Is there anyone knows how to solve this requirement?
2. How to make information message/ Availability check screen appear when sparepart is missing, without clicking Availability Check button? for example: appear when clicking Save button.

Work Order Issue - Error Creating Goods Delivery,Goods Issue or GRPO

We use SAP Business One 2007 A PL:08. We have an add-on for the work orders and While putting the work order from released to completion, a user is getting an error message that says:
"Error Creating Delivery,Goods Issue or Goods receipt PO- Error Issuing Delivery Note -Item no. is missing [DLN1.Itemcode][Line:3]"
I do not see any item missing in the work order and all the posting periods are open. I have checked all possible settings!!
Any idea what this could be?

Error messgae while saving the Notification

HI All,
We got one requirement, when we are creating the PM Notification (TC: IW21) we are assigning the already exiting PM work Order. After assigning the work order, we are saving the notification. While Saving the Notification the system should check whether the Maintenance Planning Plant (IWERK) and Planning Plant (SWERK) of Notification is same as Maintenance Planning Plant (IWERK) and Planning Plant (SWERK) of PM work Order. If it is same then Notification should be saved else u201Cerror messageu201D should be displayed.
Note:
Maintenance Planning Plant (IWERK) is available in HEADER TAB of Notification or PM Work Order. That is next to Planner Group.
Maintenance Planning Plant (SWERK) is available in LOCATION tab of Notification or PM Work Order. That is next to Planner Group.
We are using the user exist QQMA0014 (PM notification: validitye checks during save) for this purpose. We are able to get the IWERK and SWERK value of PM work Order eassily, sine the data stored in AFIH and ILOA table (ILOA-ILOAN = AFIH-ILAON). Even we are able to get the IWERK value of Notification from VIQMEL structure before Notification saved. But we are not able to get the value of SWERK of Notification before saving the Notification because SWERK value is stored ILOA table. For accessing SWERK from ILOA table, we need ILAON from VIQMEL. The problem is ILOAN value is not avialable in VIQMEL before the Notifivation is saved.
Please let me know how we can get this value or is ther is any other user exit from which, we can get this??

Work Order DFF during Release

Hi All,
We are evaluating if we can populate Work Order DFF while creating work orders from ASCP.
User will select planned orders in ASCP for release. Then the user can enter some field in ASCP.
When the planned orders are released, this field entered should be populated in Work Order DFF.
Request any pointers how can we achieve this.

Immediately after IBAPI_ALM_ORDER_TECO_RESET, it may help to call BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN (with SAVE method) followed by BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

Reference Object to Refresh Work Order Field Data

Dear Gurus,
In IW21/IW22 the reference object will populate the Responsibilities section of the Notification tab, and fields on the Location Data tab. When the reference object is changed, those same fields will update or refresh. The reference object will also populate field data in a work order if the work order is created from the notification, however, work order fields will not refresh if the reference object on the notification is changed. Nor will work order fields change if the reference object is changed directly within the work order.
Can anyone explain why fields will refresh in IW21/IW22 when the reference object is changed, but similar fields in the work order will not refresh when the reference object is changed in IW31/IW32?

When you execute IW31/IW32 transaction, in back ground standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
When transaction IW21 / IW22 is executed and order is created or changed at that point also standard SAP programs are called to perform order related task.
But program called by IW31/IW32 are different then that will called with IW21/IW22 and thus refresh dont happen if u change reference object in notification once after order is created.
You need to manually change in work order.

Estimated Costs are Zero in PM03 work orders

Hi experts,
I had an issue in PM03 (Preventive Maintenance ) work orders.
While Work orders kicks out from the plan work orders are creating with REL status. And here i can see the Estimated costs as Zero in costs Tab of the work order.
Please suggest if anything is missing from config end or how to proceed on this.

Estimated Cost & Planned Cost : Maintenance Order SAP PM
Use below to maintain value categories.
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Maintenance and Service Processing - Basis Settings - Setting for Display of Cost
You can explorer certain things those OSS notes, some notes are released for updating estimated cost. So refer it.
I have not worked on this, so you need to think about updating estimated cost when the plan is generating the order and before releasing it, whether this can gets updated.
