Workforce planning- issue with available capacity

Hi All,
I have an issue in workforce planning. I have created a workcentre and have entered the required details in capacity tab to arrive at available capacity. The available capacity for this workcentre is visible in transaction CM01.
I have done the workforce palnning using worcentre view in transaction CMP3, but for some reason I am unable to see the workcentre avaliabile capacity. I only see the distributed total requirements.
Would appreciate any pointers on this.

Regarding the availablity of CMP3, it refers the availability of  assigned persons rather than the work centers.
Please check the involved person with transaction PA30 using infotype 007
(see details in consultant note 543362).

  • Issue with available space on an iPad Mini

    My iPad Mini has less than 1GB of apps on it, however on the sync page it shows 5GB of apps.  I am guessing I need to restore the iPad?  If I restore from an iCloud backup, what are the odds that the problem will remain?  Any suggestions on what may be going on?  BTW, this mini syncs to a Toshiba PC. 

    Yes - you can take it into the store so they can take a look at it. Not sure about the exchange part. I'm thinking that if they determine what the issue is right then and there, that they would replace it if they have a replacement available. I only did the exchange by mail because the problem was diagnosed as "unfixable" by the Apple Support person that I was working with on the phone. (also, my Apple Store is over an hour away, so was easier by mail - the replacement and return were all done at no cost to me....)
    Tell your Sis not to feel bad. As you have already pointed out, Apple products are very reliable, well-made products. They are, however, full of lots of electronics, chips, wires, etc. Considering the complex makeup of these little miracles of wonderment, it shouldn't be surprising that once in a blue moon, something is just not going to be perfect. No one's fault, just the nature of the beast....all will be well in the end, most assuredly!

  • Issue with availability check

    Hi,
    We are creating delivery for stock transfer order using customised transactions via ATP check. During ATP check, the system is indeed creating outbound delivery, but with zero quantity.
    I checked the stock in MMBE, it is showing stock. Also in MB5B, the stock was available on posting date. Why the system, then created outbound delivery with zero quantity.
    Can anyone please suggest?

    Check the following
    IMG>>MM>>Purchasing>>PO>>Setup STO>>Define Checking Rule and select the one you are using (Use avail check 02 with checking rule 01)
    Next in Assign Delivery type and checking rule check for proper assignmnets for..
    Doc Type-Supply Plant-Del Type-Chk rule-check box ticked for Shipment scheduling
    Your delivery type should be NL for Intra company STO and NLCC for cross company STO.
    Make the ATP check in the STO PO and confirm things working.

  • Incomprehensible - BT system issue with available ...

    I am lossing the will to live having to deal with BT, who seem completely unable to comprehend a simple problem!!!
    BT Systems seemed to have corrupted my account, their systems tell them that my max inifinity speed is 29mb on a new 80mb cabinet & exchange, when I am less than 100m from the street cabinet.  All of my neighbours are correct at 80mb and achieving this speed.  Whilst BT systems tell them 29mb, my line test (http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/) of the installed service at both my house and at the cabinet (openreach engineer) are at 40mb, even though I ordered the 80mb package.  The Openreach engineer confirmed that the reason I am getting 40mb and not 80mb is because BT ordered a 40mb line not the 80mb line.  BT are unable to change the line speed and no one seems willing to believe and then finally able to deal with this issue.
    How on earth do I get through this issue?  This has been going on for 2 months and I must have spent over 10hours on the phone to different people at BT.

  • Issue with reversal of MIRO for Planned Delivery Cost

    Hi Xperts
    We have found out an issue while reversing the MIRO document for Planned Del costs. When we have done the MIRO, the accounting entry got correctly posted with correct account keys.Conditions are not inventoried.
    However, when we had reversed it - the stock account got hit.Do not understand, why that happened.Do you have any clue?
    1. Suppose we have done the MIRO for Del Cost & then performed GR.Now Stock has already consumed & afterwards we have found that the MIRO for Del Cost is wrong & reverse - in this scenario shall the Stock account will get a hit????
    2. I have maintained Price Control "V" in Material Master.However, I have maintained a Standard Price by mistake.In that case shall SAP ignores the MAP & takes Standard Price into account & post PRD??

    Before checking Planned Delivery costs accounting documents in MIRO posting and MIRO cancellation document, 1st check how Planned Delivery costs designed for your procurement process.
    Use t.code:ME23N, check your Purchase order
    Option-1:
    Is Planned Delivery costs added to inventory account and at the same time Planned Delivery costs posted to Separate Planned Delivery costs G/L account.
    OR
    Option-2:
    Is Planned Delivery costs posted to Planned Delivery costs G/L account ONLY
    OR
    Option-3:
    Is Planned Delivery costs added to inventory account ONLY.
    Based the above one setting, system  will post goods receipt and invoice posting document with corresponding accounting entries. Also cancellation of invoice posting document refer to these setting.But account posting depends on price control available in material master.
    NOTE:
    Standard price procedure (price control “S”):The system carries out all stock postings at a price defined in the material master. Variances in price are posted to price difference accounts.
    Moving average price (price control “V”): The system valuates goods receipts with the purchase order price and goods issues with the current moving average price.Differences in price between the purchase order price and the invoice are posted directly to the relevant stock account if there is sufficient stock coverage.

    I am facing an issue with Hyperion Planning 11.1.2 which was working till yesterday. When i login into the and go to navigate --> Administor --> Dimension Library i am getting an error which iam not able to understand. kindly help me out. i checked all my EPM services and they are up and working and also i have restarted them but no use.     First question, has anything changed since it worked like admin accounts.
    Reboot the machine.
    Next, just start the "Hyperion Foundation Shared Services - Web Application" service
    Can you log into Shared Services ?
    If you can, then start "Hyperion EPM Architect - Web Application" service
    Go to http://localhost:19091/awb/ Does the web page display ?
    If not then you it looks like EPMA needs reconfiguring.
    Next start "Hyperion EPM Architect - Process Manager" service, make sure the service starts and it should start another 4 services.
    Next refresh http://localhost:19091/awb/ and try and login.

    My processes take up 10 GB of Ram, (sum all processes memory size with the ps auxwww command).
    My questions are:
    1) Why the vmstat output display only 643 MB of available ram ( free ram) ?
    2) Why the swap -s output, the sum of used plus available is not equal to physical memory (16 GB) plus disk swap (16GB)?
    Please help me for understand this issue

    1) There are things in the kernel that will allocate memory at will (like file system cache) and as long as you have not met the scan threshold, the memory pages will not free up. This is no cause for alarm. IT just skews the results. Deal with it. We all do.
    2) You must be referring to the statement in the manpage "These numbers include swap space from all configured swap areas as listed by the -l option, as well swap space in the form of physical memory". The key element in the statement is "swap space in the <b>form of physical memory</b>" which is <b>not</b> physical memory but a small part of it.

  • Use of Planning Table (MF50) in Capacity Levelling with Production Order

    Hello Experts
    I wish to know that is it possible to perform Capacity Levelling in planning table (tcode MF50) with respect to a Production Order ? It is known that MF50 is used in Repetitive manufacuring to do the capacity levelling with respect to Planned orders. But in our discrete manufacturing scenario we want to use planning table to the capacity levelling with respect toa Production order.
    Any clue or help pertaining to this will be highly appreciated.

    MF50 is does the cacapcity leveling based on mateail -run schedule order (planned order ) where as in discrete manufacturing , when you run the MRP ,  MRP system assume Infinite Capacity  and schedule the order as per your selection in MD02(2,1,3,3,2)  and then you convert those planned order to Production order .Here you checkied the Capacity in Production Order level .
    In stanadrd SAP  , it is not possible to use MF50 for discrete production order.
    In discrete order or process order ,  do the caapcity leveling , there are seperate planning table available based on Over all Capacity Profile and Schedule type .This can be done  in following way :
    1.CM31-Production Order Wise -Tabular
    2.CM23-PO wise -Graphical
    3.MC88: Ruf Cut Planning
    Work Centre Wise : CM21 -Graphical , CM22-Tabular Planning Table .
    Make sure the below set up before  you carry on the Capacity leveling :
    .Define time profile in OPD2.
    Define the strategy profile in OPDB
    Define the Overall profiles in OPD0.
    In OPJK  maintained check capacity with SAPSFCG013 profile for your production order type
    In OPU3 , scheduleing parametre s: Generate Capacity , Scheduling Type , Automatic Log ,Start date in Past as per your req.
    In OPJU , chekc the contol tab of the scheduleing as per OPU3
    In OPKP- Production scheduling paranmeters assing the overall capacity profile -SAPSFCG013  with finte scheduling tick.
    Master Data :
    1.Materials Master define the Production scheduler and production scheduling profile
    2.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group,activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings,break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
    3.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling.

  • Issues in Workforce Planning

    Dear Friends,
    I am facing following isues in workforce planning.
    1) I am not able to assign team maintained at WBSE level in assigned activities.Though the manpower maintained at Work Center is easily asigned.
    2) The capacity requirement for activity as well as resource in not getting distributed, though I am using Distribution key to distribute work equally both at activity & work center level.
    3) Last, once a resource has been assigned to a particular activity for a particular period, the system is still allowing allotment of same resorces to other activities during same period.
    Please provide your valuable inputs.

    We are maintaining WBSE team for the same WB SE to which network activity is assigned. The requirement for having a team at WBSE as well as Work Centre arises because, as per the business scenario the project may utilize resources other than that on Work Centre.
    I have done all required settings & marked all relevant indicators.
    Yes in I am using SAP020 Distribution Key.
    For the third point that I mentioned (that you say to be standard system behaviour) I would explain again.
    Once I have loaded a particular resource with work form a particular project, logically the system shall block that resource for that particular time frame (within which it is loaded). Are you saying this is standard system behaviour?

  • Person assignment with workforce planning

    Dear All,
    I plan activity for one day 8 hours & assigned person to activity in CMP2 & distribute work for same day & for same hours,
    when i assign same person with diffrent activity with diffrent project with in CMP2 system not showing any message with same person is assigned same day with diffrent project.
    How same person can work two project with same time,
    Kindly share yours experiance.

    I tested with without person assignment in work center, yes you can assign any person to any project if have capacity but when we distribute work in workforce planning by assignment of person with day & time then same person how can assign to other activity ,because his working hours are fixed,if working time is 8.5 hours & person assign for 8 HR to activity then same person should not work to another activity more than 0.5 hrs,system should not allow.
    May i know Standard SAP allow it or not?

  • CMP2 work force planning available capacity shows less

    In CMP2 workforce planning : The available capacity for a person (assigned to activity) shows 7.5 Hrs each day although Capacity for that one resours is 8 Hrs (=Operating time). There is only 1 capacity in the work center.
    Can some one give any idea why this descrepancy ?

  • 100GB HDD - 'Available' Capacity Issue

    Apple forgot to put a disclaimer about the available capacity issue on its 12 inch and 15 inch G4 powerbooks that come loaded with a 100 gig hard drive and 1 gig of ram. Check the outside of your box, it is not on there. I also have a imac G5 and it comes with this disclaimer, as does every other Apple computer. Thinking they solved the available capacity issue, I then opened the box, turned on the computer, went up to the blue apple in the upper left hand corner of the screen, clicked on about this mac, then clicked on more info, then went to the hard drive info, only to find, I had less capacity then I was led to believe I had purchased. Any one out there with this same issue?

    There is no "available capacity issue" to be solved. The difference between the stated capacity of your 100GB hard drive and it's actual 93.13GB capacity is simply the result of how drives are marketed.   • Issue met in Capacity Leveling with tabular

    Hi, guru:
    I met a fascinating issue in CM22,Remain.avail.capac. fileds in the upper area is 0, so i checked the available capacity with CM01 for the correspondent day, available capacity is 14.After i creating a production order, the capacity requirement is 1.7, but the field  display -1.7 in CM22.  so I can not dispatch it ,showing the error with overload. But i can dispatch it in CM21. I think the problem is that CM22 gets the wrong AvailCap or doesn't get it. but i don't know how to solve it . any sugession will be appreciated,thanks in advance.

    Check you Capacity utilization into your Resource or Work Center, cause many times this parameters is the reason for you issue between these two tcodes.
    I mean, the CM22 take in count this parameter, but not the CM01

    We use CM25 for capacity levelling.
    Issue:
    Total Capacity req. = 186.8 Hr
    Available Capacity on 01.01.2012 on the resource = 380.2 Hr
    Now when I try to dispatch the capacity req. for a planned order manually on 01.01.2012, system distributes the capacity-
    Distributed   Period
            5.0    31.12.2011
          23.8    01.01.2012
          23.8    02.01.2012
          23.8    03.01.2012
          23.8    04.01.2012
          23.8    05.01.2012
          23.8    06.01.2012

    But we want to dispatch capacity say on one particular day or split it onto two different days i.e. 90 Hrs on 01.01.2012 & 90 Hrs on 02.01.2012. Is it possible? If yes, how?

    Total Capacity Requirement: 186.8 Hr
    I am trying to know that whether what issue has been raised is possible to solve in Capacity Levelling & How.
    We are not maintaining shifts in SAP at present.
