[WRT300N+WPC300N]: Chariot Performance is Poor

I got a WRT300N router and a WPC300N carbus wireless card yesterday.
And I test them under a clean environment (no other wireless devices around).
The best result I can get in chariot is 35Mbps, which is not good enough.
I don't understand. Did I do something wrong?
My questions are:
1. Do these device really can reach 270Mbps?
If not, what is the best result I can get?
2. What is the best way to arrange 3 antenna of the router?
All in one direction? Or in different directions separately?
3. If I use WMP300N (PCI) instead of WPC300N (Carbus) as wireless client.
Will the performance be improved? (WMP300N's antenna seems much stronger)
4. Is there something I can do to improve my performance with these devices?
Thanks~~

Have you tried Chariot's High_Performance_Throughput.scr script?  This is what I use to test MIMO.  I get TP as high at 82 Mbits/sec at 20 feet with the WRT300N connected to a WPC300N client.  The TP is about half that with plain old Throughput.scr.

  • How do I block an ad that opens up a new Firefox window and keeps telling me my system performance is poor? I can't even capture the link.

This particular ad, supposedly from a Windows Certified Partner, opens in a second Firefox window and keeps flashing the message that my System Performance is Poor, wanting me to click on their ad and let them do whatever nasty things they want to my system. I have not been able to capture the path but next time it comes up, I will write down all that I can see.
If I have closed my main Firefox screen first, and then close out this ad, the next time I open Firefox, the ad opens and all my standard tabs are gone, requiring me to reopen each one seperately (Facebook, Google, etc).

Just to address the last point: check your History menu to see whether you have the Restore Previous Session option and use that if you can. If that is grayed out or doesn't restore everything, check the Recently Closed Windows and Recently Closed Tabs lists for other pages.
The unwanted window may be generated by an add-on. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
    Any improvement?
Here are some other things to check:
    (1) user.js file that changes Firefox startup behavior and overrides your preferences. This article describes how to track that down and delete it if you have one: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
    (2) Possible hijacked shortcut. Check the "target" of the desktop icon you use to start Firefox to see whether it lists the unwanted page. To do that:
right-click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab
For 64-bit Windows 7, the Target should be no more and no less than this:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
    (3) Possible undisclosed bundle items. If you have installed any free software recently, check your Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a program for surprises. If you click the "Installed on" column head to group by date, it is easier to spot bundled junk. Remove everything suspicious or unrecognized.
    (4) Supplemental clean up scans. Our support article lists tools other Firefox users have found helpful: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
    Hopefully that cures it.

  • Problems with WRT300n & WPC300n

    Hi guys!
I have a problem. I am reviewing the two Linksys-thingys WRT300n & WPC300n for a pc-mag, and for the last 4 hours I have been all over the internet trying to get a clue...
First of all both items works (not well (low range/falls out once in a while), but there is a connection after all). My main prob is, that I cant get the WPC300n to go faster then 54 Mbps... In the Linksys-control it says Wide Channel: N/A... like this is just regular G-speed...?
I have tried to turn on all the encryptionfacilities but it doesnt help. All the drivers and firmware are the newest...
Any of you got a clue?

I'm having the same problem with the same equipment. I hope there is someone that can help us. PLEASE

    Hi There,
After updated iOS8 on IPhone 4S, phone performance gone poor.  When this problem will be resolved?

    Hi..
Have you tried a reset yet?
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

Before buying a second-hand computer, you should have run Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, whichever is applicable.
The first thing to do after buying the computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You—not the original owner—must do that. Changes made by Apple over the years have made this seemingly straightforward task very complex.
How you go about it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
It's unsafe, and may be unlawful, to use a computer with software installed by a previous owner.
    1. If you don't own another Mac
    a. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller—not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine is very old and has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    b. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for a MacBook Air. You should have received the media from the original owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To start up from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then restart the computer and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    c. If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should start up in Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    d. Some 2010-2011 models shipped with OS X 10.6 and received a firmware update after 10.7 was released, enabling them to use Internet Recovery. If you have one of those models, you can't reinstall 10.6 even from the original media, and Internet Recovery will not work either without the original owner's Apple ID. In that case, contact Apple Support, or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to have the OS installed.
    2. If you do own another Mac
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to prepare a USB device, then start up the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can start from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    3. Partition and install OS X
    a. If you see a lock screen when trying to start up from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
    b. Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive—not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the  Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    c. An unusual problem may arise if all the following conditions apply:
OS X 10.7 or later was installed by the previous owner
The startup volume was encrypted with FileVault
You're booted in Recovery mode (that is, not from a 10.6 installation disc)
In that case, you won't be able to unlock the volume or partition the drive without the FileVault password. Ask for guidance or see this discussion.
    d. After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. If you're installing a version of OS X acquired from the App Store, you will need the Apple ID and password that you used. When the installation is done, the system will automatically restart into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    e. Run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the original owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed—you have to repurchase them.
    4. Other issues
    a. If the original owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're irrevocably linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    b. If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
    c. When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a lifetime limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an iCloud account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information. The setup limit doesn't apply to Apple ID accounts used for other services, such as the iTunes and Mac App Stores, or iMessage. You can create as many of those accounts as you like.

  • BO XI 3.1 server performance is poor

    Hi BO Experts,
We have installated SAP BOE XI 3.1 on AIX server and  integrated it with the SAP BI system. Performance of the BO system is very poor, its taking very long time for execution of reports and it even failed to retrieve values from the database.
Can someone tell what could be the possible reasons ? We have 2 CPUs with 8 GB RAM on server.
Also is there any way or utility using which we can track the performance of the BO Enterprise server.

    Hi,
can you please check if the BOBJ LPAR is getting enough processing quota?

  • RAID performance is poor on the K8N NEO NF4 SLi mobo...why?

I reccently downloaded and purchased pcmark05 to keep tabs on my system performance, I have 2 wd800jb/se ide in raid'0', isn't there supposed to be a performance gain with using raid?, is it a hardware or software version of raid that is used with my motherboard?, reason I ask is because I took a 50% performance hit configuring these 2 hd in raid as opposed to just using them straight up without raid, is it the nvidia raid controller or raid/ide drivers screwing  up and making this so?, hell I don't know, I spent a couple of hours trying to find some specific information on this, I have to admit my knoweldge is very limited in the hd aspect, I don't really know the differences between sata, and ide other then they use different apetures, and sata is a newer more current technology, I know how to oc, set up ram or configure a system, but like I said I honestly don't know much about hard drives or what is fater or how to optimally set them up, I still manage to score 4400 on pcmark05 which is pretty good when the only lagging aspect is the hard drive performance, people who are scoring  half of what I'am still are getting twice as high marks in the hard drive test.
In fact I failed to find one score out of a couple of hundred that I came anywhere close to their marks, it is a shame cause otherwise I have a very tight system, just so you know I'am being realistic here, I don't exspect to get better performane the a w740 raptor, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions.....if not where would be a good site on the subject...Thanks
none raid bench result with one wd800jb   http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=198218
raid'o' 2 wd800jb bench result http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=196491  note there is an 800 point difference, I hought raid was supposed to enhance performance somewhat

Well, I need to update my sig, I have only one 7800gt, sli hasn't always lived up to it's potential, so I would think I'am within the power requirements now/then, 460 should be more then enough, as far as my overclock goes other then some random crashes when I was FIRST setting up the oc, which btw is normal when you are finding the acceptable limits of the cpu/memory and then backing down into a good stable oc, would a 45% overclock really cause this poor performance in RAID?, cause honestly, my system is rock solid stable at it's current settings, cpu is 33 at idle and 40-42 under load, the ram is beyond specs but like I said it has been put thru every stress test I could get my hands on here are some everest reports if it helps to give you an idea......

  • IMAC not Performing extremely poorly

    Please Help-
I purchased two 24' iMAC machines for our office.
Installed all my software from my mirror door G4, plus new copies of CS2 Suite.
I can harldy switch from program to program, saving 100 mb files out of Photoshop takes fifteen minutes, Illustrator hardly works, safari crashes, the entire system runs extremely poorly.
I have upgraded to 2gb of ram, but only 533 Mhz, I have no extra fonts loaded. I work off a firewire - 2.0 USB external drive, so no files are on the HD. The USB is plugged into the high speed port on the back of the machine.
I have downloaded Cocktail and run scripts, restarted, verified and repaired permissions, zapped P-Ram, everything I can think- and these forums say to do - and nothing works.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Kevin

If you used migration assistant to transfer files to your new mac, that is your problem. I have read about others on here who have had the same problem. Some programs and/ or files set up for power pc and not intel are causing your slowdown. You probably are going to have to reinstall osx and import them manually. It is tedious process, but it should solve the problem. I have not had this problem personaly, but others on here have and I do believe this is the fix for it. Try doing some other searches in the forums and see if there is anything else you can do. Also, photoshop is not yet universal and still set up for power pc so it's performance is going to be less than great. I wouldn't use 533 mhz memory in your mac. The specs are supposed to be for 667mhz memory. If that is causing your slowdown I am not for certain I am no computer engineer, but it would seem that using slower memory in the system would definitely cause performance issues. You are running a risky setup using memory not designed for your computer. Good luck.

  • N96. Poor 3G performance and poor usability ./F

Firstly, if Nokia took the bold step of having an open door policy towards developments, then perhaps customers may be prepared to wait for updates rather than return their handsets. As I got no useful feedback from my call to Nokia support around my issues, I decided that I would not be prepared to wait for the uncertainty of a fix. The chap could not even tell me what previous Firmware updates fixed ;-(
I've had a Nokia n95 8GB for over a year that served me well, but greed encouraged me to jump to the Nokia N96. This phone lasted all of one day before I decided to return it to Vodafone. Why ? Firstly the 3G performance is nothing short of rubbish compared the the N95 8GB. I used to be able to obtain 3G both inside the house and in the back garden, but with the N96 I cannot obtain it within the house and it takes ages to get it in the garden. This test uses the same network operator and the same sim card.
Performance is slow, but I think we've all noticed that now, unless of course you're desperate to buy this phone and use Live TV, which will not work in the United Kingdom at this time of writing (Dec 2008), with still no plans to launch this as a service until perhaps 2011 (maybe just in time for the olympics).
Using the gallery is a pain. On the N95 8GB a user could go to a picture, click on '5' or '0' to zoom in/out, but on the N96, no no no piggy wiggy wiggy...... you have to go to the picture, then click Option, scroll down to Edit, click Edit, then you're presented with a screen that allows you to changed the brightness, crop etc etc, then you have to click Cancel, and then you can zoom.
It would be nice to hear back from Nokia, especially Product Marketing, as I'm probably one of the few users that actually use in excess of 90% of the phones capabilities on a daily basis. More UAT should be done with true power users

    Koen,
Thank you for the detailed feedback about the performance problems you have experienced and your thoughts about features you would like. Let me respond to each of your points
Performance: We are aware that Catalyst doesn't perform well with large complex files. We have made many performance improvements since the current plublic beta, so you should find Catalyst more responsive with larger projects when the next beta is posted.
Here are a few things you can do to work around the performance issues you are seeing with the current beta:
    - Consider rasterizing complex elements that don't need to scaled in Catalyst
    - In Catalst turn complex artwork into optimized graphics using the "Convert to optimized graphics" in the float HUD (heads up display panel)
We have also found that particularly on Windows that Catalyst can run out of memory with large files. This area is also being worked on so stay tuned for the next beta.
    Features:
    - Poor test display [tv] Do you mean the design display doesn't match the appearance of the published project?
    - Poor match with Illustrator file (things seem to be rendered differently!) [tv] we have fixed a lot of bugs here. Expect this to improve a lot in the next beta
    - No hand tool - [tv] coming soon :-)
    - No ability to lock layers [tv] coming soon :-)
    - Cluttered interface (Not enough space for the "stage"or what you call it) [tv] Yes, Catalyst currently cannot dock/undock panels
    - No way to resize Illustrator elements from one of 9 edge/center points [tv] This is also a known limitation. I agree it is useful
I hope the next beta comes closer to meeting your expectations. A lot of performance work and new features has been done since the last public posting, so look forward to beta II.
    - Ty

  • LiveCycle Designer ES performance becomes poor

    Hi,
It is very strange that, every time I put a little more content in form design, the performance of ES will become very poor.
I'm using Windows 7 and ES version 8.1.2.3337.1.509884.
For example, a print form whose size is only 1074KB (16652 lines of XML ) will lead to ES becoming the largest comsumer of system resources: up-to 25% of the CPU and 121,872K memory according to Windows task manager. System even got hung if I try to switch to XML Source.
Is it normal? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    -Vicky

I open it with an text editor and yes, there're huge number of duplicated line as below
    ----clip----
      <border presence="hidden">
                                  <?templateDesigner StyleID aped0?>
                                  <?templateDesigner StyleID aped0?>

                                  <?templateDesigner StyleID aped0?>
    ----clap----
On every place for border settings.
There're total 11856 occurrences for " <?templateDesigner StyleID aped0?>" in this XML, which in total has 16864 lines. Kinda creazy.
After replacing all of them with " ", the XDP size shrinks into 653KB and the XML Source could be viewed normally in Lifecycle.
For me this looks like a SW bug.

  • "Why Does The Shuffle Songs Feature Perform So Poorly?"

    How'dee,
I have an iPod 160G Classic, I've spent the last 3 months taking my 2,247 "Owned" cd's (I'm a retired dj), an ripped them with identical settings and transfered them flawlessly onto my iPod. I now have a total of 26,311 tracks on my iPod. "FWI"- I tranfered each "Complete" album, no individual tracks... I had been looking forward to being able to Shuffle through my music and not actually listening to individual ablums at a time. I work as a security guard and I am able/allowed to use my iPod via my Bose dock.
I have been listening to my iPod in Shuffle Mode for 3 full weeks now and I am finding that I'm continually listening to the same 30 or so albums out of the full 2,247 that are on my iPod, sometimes it will actually play a song from a perticular album and then play Another track from that same album within the next 10 - 15 tracks!
In the end I'm hearing One New Track that I haven't heard yet every 15 - 20 or so tracks while at the same time I'm hearing tracks from the same albums and or groups throughout the 15 - 20 tracks that have played... As an example, I have 4 albums from the group KISS, I hear tracks from those 4 albums atleast 3 - 5 times every day - day & half... Why does the Shuffle Mode work so poorly? I can't see for the life of me why the so-called "Shuffle Mode" doesn't Shuffle through "ALL" of the 2,247 tracks that are on the iPod.
I've even gone as far as to use a cable to plug my iPod into a regular radio allowing me "Not" to charge my iPod until the battery is almost dead, allowing it to play continuously for my entire 8 hour shift in Shuffle Mode. And then just resume the next shift for another 8 hours, again, until the battery is almost dead. I've gotten around 35+ hours per charge over the last 2 weeks.
"My whole reason for spending $350. on this iPod was so that I could listen to my album collection as though I were listening to a radio... shuffling through "All" of my tracks. I'm now sitting here kicking myself in the a$$ for seemingly wasting my money..."
    Any insight would be appreciated.
And just to let it be known, I have attempted to play tracks manually just to see if they are even workable transfers and I haven't come across any problems with the music that I put on the iPod.
    The ToxicOne...

It is true - "random" does not mean that you should not hear two songs from the same album (or artist) in close proximity. However, as the number of albums increases, the likelihood of hearing multiple (sometimes three or four) cuts from the same album decreases. And the chances of this happening EVERY time a new shuffle is started is even less likely. Comparing flipping a coin (a 0.5 probability of any given result) to a library with over 2000 albums (a .0005 probability of a track from any given album) is comparing apples to oranges. Also, given one of the posts above which indicated hearing the same *progression of songs* indicates that the mathematical algorithm used by Apple to simulate randomness (as there is no such thing as true randomness in computer programming) is just not up to snuff.

  • Iphone 4s performance very poor after iOS7 update

    Hi Guys,
I just thought i'd post my experience on my iphone 4s...
First of all the phone is approx 18 months old.
The phone was perfect until I updated to the popular IOS7 update, cough!!!!
    Heres what's happening...
    iPhone probs since IOS7 update
First of all the phone never missed a beat until ios7 update. Please don't insult me apple and tell me that this is a coincidence.
-Batt perc poor accuracy readings, sticks on amount for long period until reset, thereafter reads incorrect again. Last week was reading 93% but was actually flat.
-Batt can read low, phone freezes, reboots on its own & batt will then read at a higher perc.
-Phone freezing and rebooting on its own intermittently, either has to be physically switched on (from black screen) or white apple appears & it switches itself on.
-Select msgs or email - white screen appears only.
-Have to reset phone on numerous occasions due to lack of or no response.
-After reset all messages, emails, notifications etc come in all at once
-Will get bulk messages, even from same people.
-Will not open messages or email at times, poss due to signal loss while phone shows still signal bars (States switch in wifi or network)
-Loss wifi all the time, doesn't work at all now. (oddly it worked again in the apple store which left me really baffled?)
    -Search for email now poor
-App Store search poor, loading poor
-Alarm clock not working at times
    -Switching off on its own
-No response from screen at times and accassional delays when it does work
-Battery drain excessive, even when not being used! I have switched any hidded consumers off
-Very jaggy/not smooth in operation at times
-Opening app, settings etc take too long. An app might 'blink' i.e. Flash off then back on.
-Wifi on at access screen but switched off in settings and therefore  can not select on option
There could be a battery issue here but only since ios7 update has this all came into play. I used to really like the phone and enjoyed using it.
I was at the apple store yesterday and the guy showed me that my battery was borderline 79 -80% condition (orange).
He mentioned that there also may be software issues so I am now going to carry out a full retore from new,and post back during the week.
If a company from any technical background that deals with software, and hardware, and the the system or particular part of the network/system/hardware lays down, then you must stand by it.
I am due an update apple if you're listening, but if a battery is going to last only a year and a half or less then I very well may take my chances with another manufacturer. I just can't be bothered with hassle and the thought in my mind waiting on the phone battery failing at some time.
I understand the technology behind it all but maybe apple need to look at the consumption side of things more than the makng a stronger battery. Maybe consider a secondary system using small second battery or solar, with temperature regulation of some sort. Another approach would be to have a primary system (for calls, texts and maybe limited internet) and a secondary system (for apps etc etc) simply controlled by a type of  switch/relay/regulator i.e. if the battery drops below 25% you will not get to use secondary systems keeping your phone usable in terms of making calls, which the mobile phone was intended, remember!!!!
I called my phone network company and they said they would cover the bill for a new battery as the guy in apple store suggested would fix the powering issues.
P.S. I emailed apple about this last week, got an auto response stating we'll get back to you in 24 hours, and guess what, they didn't.

I have a similar problem.  I have an iPhone 4s that was working perfectly.  Almost immediately upon upgrading to iOS7 I noticed that the battery began to drain much quicker.  This morning when I tried to recharge the battery it would not recharge.  I followed brad805's suggestions.  When I took it to the Genius Bar they attempted to remove the battery and directly power the phone from a cable and that did not work.  The phone is now completely dead and because it is past the one year warranty period, there is little that the people at the Apple Store can do to help me. I took very good care of the phone when I owned it and there were no incidents to the phone in the time since I upgraded to iOS7.  I strongly believe that the upgrade to iOS7 is the contributing factor to this phone failure.
Is there a mechanism to register a complaint with Apple?  I understand that phones fail from time to time but based on the posts I am seeing on the internet, I fear that there are additional instances like mine.

  • Workaround for slow performance and poor resolution with RED R3D files in After Effects CC 2014 (13.0)

    http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2014/06/red-r3d-problems-after-effects-cc-2014-13-0.ht ml
The After Effects team are investigating a bug in After Effects CC 2104 (13.0) where RED (.R3D) files are very slow and the image resolution is poor, about 1/8 sampling.
The following workaround has been reported to solve the problems in some cases:
    Save the project.
Choose Edit > Purge > All Memory & Disk Cache.
Please post in this thread about whether or not this workaround helped you.

Intentionally cross-linking threads: this issue was first reported in this thread, which has an ongoing discussion:
AE 2014CC RED R3D files support broken - footages looks bad, everything slow.
The thread you are in now is the comment thread for the blog post. Please post in whichever thread makes more sense for you. I am monitoring both.

  • Retrieval performance become poor with dynamic calc members with formulas

We are facing the retrieval performance issue on our partititon cube.
It was fine before applying the member formulas for 4 of measures and made them dynamic calc.
The retrieval time has increased from 1sec to 5 sec.

    Period is dense
    Year is dense

    index cache to 10mb
    Rertrieval buffer 70kb
    dynamiccalccahe max set to 200mb
Please not that, this is partition cube, retriving data from 2 ASO, 1 BSO underline cubes.

I received the following from Hyperion. I had the customer add the following line to their essbase.cfg file and it increased their performance of Analyzer retrieval from 30 seconds to 0.4 seconds. CalcReuseDynCalcBlocks FALSE This is an undocumented setting (will be documented in Essbase v6.2.3). Here is a brief explanation of this setting from development: This setting is used to turn off a method of reusing dynamically calculated values during retrievals. The method is turned on by default and can speed up retrievals when it involves a large number of dynamically calculated blocks that are each required to compute several other blocks. This may happen when there is a big hierarchy of sparse dynamic calc members. However, a large dynamic calculator cache size or a large value of CALCLOCKBLOCK may adversely affect the retrieval performance when this method is used. In such cases, the method should be turned off by setting CalcReuseDynCalcBlocks to FALSE in the essbase.cfg file. Only retrievals are affected by this setting.

    Rajkumar Yelugu

    Hi Rajkumar,
As you said, it seems to be a very simple query. The only thing that cause the performance can be the CrossJoin function. There are multiple CrossJoin function on your query. If you cross-join medium-sized or large-sized sets (e.g., sets
that contain more than 100 items each), you can end up with a result set that contains many thousands of items—enough to seriously impair performance. For the detail information, please see:
    http://sqlmag.com/data-access/cross-join-performance
    Hope this helps.
