WRT54GL admin help

Hi guys, for some reason when i go to my routers admin page it comes up all messed up like missing text and no images. theres no links on the page or anything, i have reset my router and have cleared all internet history cookies etc.
can you please help as its driving me crazy, i got a pc plugged into the router and a laptop, xbox 360 using wireless.

To view the router's web pages:
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is wired to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall.
If you are using Zone Alarm, right click on the ZA icon in the system tray (lower right corner of screen) and then click "Shutdown ZoneAlarm", and see if this fixes your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: Open the ZAISS control center, go to Privacy, then temporarily turn off Ad Blocking and Cookie Control, and see if that fixes your problem.
If you are using Noton Internet Security with the Add-on Pack, be sure to turn off the Pop-up Blocker, and the Ad blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall the entire Norton Add-on Pack.
If you cannot get anything at 192.168.1.1 then perhaps this is not your router's address. Go to "Start" > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
A black DOS box will appear. Type in "ipconfig" (with no quotes), then hit the Enter key. Look at the "Default Gateway". Is it 192.168.1.1 ? Point your browser to the "Default Gateway", then login to your router.
If the above fails, disconnect your modem from the router, and try again. If this corrects your problem, then most likely you have a "modem-router" rather than an ordinary modem. Check to see if your "modem-router" is using the same 192.168.1.x address space as your Linksys router. If it is, then report back with this problem, and also state the make and model of your modem-router.
If all of the above fails, power down your entire system, unplug it from the wall, wait one minute, then power up and try again.
If all of the above tips fail, then reset the router to factory defaults: Power down the router and disconnect all wires from it. Wait one minute. Power up the router, allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes), then press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release the button and allow the router to reset and reboot ( 2-3 minutes). Power down router. Wait one minute. Connect one computer, by wire, to a LAN port on the router. Boot up system. It should work.
If the reset does not fix your system, then you need to download and install (or re-install) the latest firmware for your router. After the firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch. If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.

What you are assuming is totally wrong. Have a look at THIS. The reason may be something else. Pl. provide your phone details.

Admin help please!!!!!!!

I get thousands of emails from apple support communities each day and can't turn them off. I have gone into my preferences on the support community and gone to email notification preferences and unchecked all the boxes and hit save and I still get them. I have called apple and was told by a helpful chap to do what I had already done. He then said the cmmunity was not run by apple and that I should seek admin help here.

Go to Apple Support Communities, and look on the right side of this web site for an area entitled "Actions". You should see an option to "Stop email notifications"
There are at least 4 levels of notification here.
1) You can be notified for every post added to a thread you create.
2) You can be notified for every thread you participant in (added a post to)
3) You can be notified for all posts to a specific thread (even if you didn't post to that thread)
4) You can be notified for all posts to a specific community (this is the killer, easily hundreds of emails per day depending on the community.)
Also, when logged into Support Communities, click on your "user name" at the top of the screen (right before the sign out option). On the right side, under actions, select "manage email notifications". Again, on the far right, you can select or deselect "threads" and remove notifications.

"Server Admin Help" utility

I just unwrapped my new Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server. I was looking for some info using the "Server Admin Help" but I cannot get it to work. The search doesn't work, it keeps showing the turning wheel, but nothing is coming up. The links don't work either.
I know it is very basic, but I am relatively new to Macs, please tell me how I can fix the help file?

So you've configured the Mac OS X Server environment, and gotten connected to the network and gotten DNS going?
If the IP network and the DNS used for the server aren't correct and functional, then Server Admin tends to be one of the first casualties.
Is the beachball on a Mac client running the Server Admin tools, or arising on the server?
If running Server Admin directly on the server, is the beachball specific to the Server Admin help, or are there beachballs arising in other tools, too?
It's also possible that there's a problem with this particular Mac Mini Server box configuration.

You need to Run the SetDomainEnv.sh/cmd from the Domain_Home/bin and then you can execute the below Commands and they will execute succesfully

Non-admin help

Due to all of the virus rumors going around, I decided to start using a non-admin account on my computer (just to be on the safe side). So I am wondering what the EASIEST way is to bring all of the files that I have--mp3s, applications, documents, etc.-- over from the admin account to the non-admin account?
I did search through the "help" options on my computer but I am coming up empty.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

kirks:Due to all of the virus rumors going aroundFirst, the virus rumors are just that, rumors. The Oompa-Loompa cannot hurt anything unless you download it, open it and then authenticate it for installation. However, if you do that it will infect you entire HDD.
The best protection against loss of data is to buy an external Firewire HDD and backup regularly using a utility like Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.
Now in terms of the Standard account lots of folk do that for practical purposes. First, after creating the account you set the limitations allowing everything, since you will want to access all your information. In terms of your music is in your admin User's Folder you will have to move it to the Shared Folder then make an alias (minus the world alias) and place it in each of the Admin Users folder and the Standard users folder.etc.
Unless you really want to go through all that, the best proctection is to backup, and do not authenticate anything that you don't absolutely know you want to let in. It will be a shame to go to all that trouble and still not be really secure.
Here is some advice on safe practices.

Can't log on to tomcat admin, HELP PLEASE!!

What exactly is the problem? Unusual behaviour, error messages would be usefull.
Are you able to see the admin login screen?
When you created this user, did you add the admin role?

Error Generating PDF: ADS/Visual Admin help needed

We configured ADS and are trying to generate PDF files from BI reports through our BI DEV thin portal.
AFter troubleshooting and prgressing past several errors, we are now getting the java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read Time out error.
I've adjusted the Web Container/com.sap/irj sessions to 300 it failed and then to 600 and it still failed.
Still getting the same error...

Please check the following SAP Notes for details:
Note 928493 - Error when generating a PDF
Note 925741 - Adobe document services (ADS) with non-supported platforms
Note 944221 - Troubleshooting if problems occur in forms processing
Also, recheck the ADS configuration and see that ADSUSER Password has not expired. If issue persists set the Trace Level for Web Dynpro to 'ALL'. You can find detailed information about setting the Trace Level in Note 742674. This should give you more details of the error.

Creative admin help

Ok this is simply irresponsible. I just called customer support service in Australia and they now tell me they cannot replace my Zen micro 4 gig at all even thought I am within warranty because I bought it off ebay brand new. I have now got a half working Micro that distorts everytime it moves a little. It is the headphone jack problem if you want to know.
I will not get another creative product ever again.
What the hell do I do?

did you buy it off creative's ebay site or from another seller?
if you bought it off ebay's creative outlet, there is whatever warranty Creative stated on the selling page.
if you bought it elsewhere, your warranty (or lack thereof) usually resides with the seller. ebay resellers are not official retailers and you need to be careful when you buy there. ebay does offer a protection program you can buy for items purchased (kind of their own warranty). but, the "manufacturer's" warranty is usually null and void for most ebay purchases.
i recommend if you shop ebay (other than in valid "stores") that you purchase the ebay warranty or use a credit card which provides warranty protection (although many exclude ebay purchases).
i know this doesn't help you now, but it's part of the reason you can get good deals on ebay. i suggest trying to contact the original seller to see what, if any, warranty they provide. i shop there all the time, and the "golden rule" is if it's not spelled out explicitly on the seller's page, it doesn't exist.
sorry for your trouble, i know it blows, but ebay is a prime caveat emptor experience.

I am having trouble linking my Actiontec MR1424WR with my WRT54GL..help!!!

I currently have Verizon FIOS, and I love it. It runs through an Actiontec MR1424WR wireless router(WEP encrypted). The only problem is that the wireless range sucks on it. So, today I bought the WRT54GL router, upgraded firmware to dd-wrt, connected it to my actiontec router, and the range problem was fixed. The new problem is that I dont get internet through the linksys router, but I get can get it through the Actiontec router(when in range). Can somebody walk me through on what I need to do or change to let my linksys router recieve the internet from the actiontec and be able to send out the internet to my computer.
Setup
Wall->Actiontec wireless Router->Linksys wireless Router->computer across the house wirelesly
I know I will have to change some settings, but im not really sure which ones to change, or what to change them to.

I fixed it myself.
I just disabled the DHCP server on the linksys router and also change the ip address on from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254....everything is great now!

Could Adobe admin help with this student wanting the $19.90/mth account, please!

Hi, I am enrolling as a student for Adobe Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop part time at a accredited college called Q College and they say as a part time student, I have to pay Adobe Creative Cloud a hefty $75/ mth to get access! I am a single mom on Employment insurance trying to complete my training for work, so why is the college not listed when they are quite highly regarded. E.g. Camosun College (same city) is listed. Can Adobe help please? Q College is insisting their students don't qualify and that is so absurd to me that why some students need only pay $19.90 and we are asked to pay a hefty $75/ mth when we are all supporting the use of Adobe Creatives? I am not a rich student. Thanks.

Only someone from Adobe will be able to help, and maybe not even then, since buying an education plan has requirements that I don't think may be waived

WRT54GL Admin Problem

When i go to edit some settings on my router, so port forwarding or something, and i go to click save settings it brings up a error. It says
'This Web Page is not available, The website at null might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
I need to change my NAT settings, but i can't because everytime i press save it comes up with that. Does anybody know how to fix it?

This is often caused by a communication problem between the the router and computer.
Try this to fix the problem:
You do not need an Internet connection. The router's "web pages" are built into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.

Vista/Flash - "Run as Admin" HELP!!!

They only way I can get webpages w/ flash to work properly is
if I run IE using the "Run as administrator" option. Is there
anyways to get flash to work without having to do this?

Site linked on facebook has no thumbnail image - Admin. help needed

hi, after looking thru the forum i've found 3 different posts asking how to make links posted on facebook come up with an appropriate thumbnail image, but none of them have an answer. Is it possible for a site built with iweb to do this, and if so, please tell us how. Thanks

The only solution is to write a piece of code into the header of the page and that will tell facebook where to pull the title, description and the photo from. The code that needs to be inserted is below.
THE PROBLEM - this solution doesn't work if you have built your site using iweb. Everyone that has iweb has responded to the solution (everywhere this is written about) has said this.
Does anyone know another work around?
