Zeros in PSA

I enhanced datasource 0CO_PC_ACT_02 with field "Standard Price" (STPRS).  The values are pulled from source table MBEW.  The records with zero values (0.00) in the source table appear as null in RSA3 (extractor checker) and also as null in the PSA.  Does anyone know the reason for this?

I guess I didn't understand your first post then when you said that you enhanced the standard content DataSource to get the Standard Price from MBEW. That is why I assumed that you were doing a lookup (in a User Exit) to get the MBEW record that matches.
After reading your second post, I couldn't recreate any scenarios in our BW instance that gives a blank for a value defined as QUAN or CURR. They all come across as 0, even when the price indicator is 'V' (Moving Average Price).

  • Leading zeroes - switching off ALHPA conversion doesn't work

    Hi all.
I have an IObj ZPARENT with compounding attribute ZATTR.
While loading data into ZPARENT I got errors regarding duplicate records. Errors occur because I got leading zeroes in ZATTR and records like "1", "01", "001" become "0001" .
I thought it is because of ALHPA conv. in ZATTR, so I deleted ZATTR master data, removed ALPHA conv. from ZATTR and tried to reload data. I got same duplicate key error and leading zeroes.
I also examined my transformation. It doesn't have any ALPHA conversions. I do post data into ZATTR through simple routine:
data: CATTR type c length 35.
         CATTR = SOURCE_FIELDS-REF_INF.
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '#' IN CATTR WITH ':'.
         RESULT = CATTR.
The data in PSA looks fine - it doesn't have any leading zeroes in PSA, but than it comes to IObj. I got them.
What I supposed to do to avoid leading zeroes in ZATTR??

  • How to maintian leading zeros in BI ?

    Hi All,
We have a requirement for one InfoObject called "0RPA_MEAN" EAN Assignment to Article for this info object i need to maintain a leading zeros as its coming from R/3 end?
Ex: In R/3 side EAN 123 is different than EAN 0123,EAN 00123.
But while extracting in BW end the the leading zeros is getting skipped off?How to retain the leading zeros?
In rsa3 its coming with the same leading zeros but in psa its not showing it?
This is very serious issue going on, need your valuable inputs on this?
    Many thanks in advance.
    *Points Assured*

    Hi Rakesh,
When you extract data to BI there won't be any leading zeroes. So in PSA there won't be any leading zeroes.
To bring leading zeroes from PSA itself.
Double click on your datasource in rsa1. Click on the 'Fields' tab. Type 'ALPHA' for the source system field under the column 'Conv. Routines'. I think that will solve the problem.
To bring leading zeroes after PSA (ie. from transformation onwards)
But when load data from PSA to further data targets using transformation we can add leading zeroes.
So in transformation click on rule details for that info object. In the rule details you have to use a function module called 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT'.  when you use this function module the leading zeroes will be added automatically.
    Thanking you,

  • DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL Error while activating the ODS Object

    Hello BW Friends,
We have used the Extractor 2LIS_11_VAHDR and enhanced and coded the user exit to extract the data to the required field. Extractor is working fine and able to get the records but when we tried to schedule a data load in BW the request was shown green in the ODS and when saw it in monitor it is still yellow and zero in PSA and the processing hasn't completed. When i tried to activate it manually there is a short dump generated with this error, DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL. If any one of you has encountered same problem please let us know. Appreciate your prompt response on this.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Raj,
I misunderstood your question.... check whether source system job is processing or not? what about any blocked TRFC'sin SM58.
try to find root cause... ODS activation is not a problem... load is not finished you tried to acivate the request still in the process Yellow.
try to check in Monitor details tab page messages...
    All the best.

  • PSA had delta records but while updating to DSO it shows zero records.

    Hi all,
I have a delta info package which picks up the delta records. The data is successfully extracted from source system and updated in the PSA. But the no of records extracted to the DSO are zero. Couldnt understand what is the problem. Request your valuable inputs on this issue.

Inside the InfoPackage which you ran, click on the Monitor button or hit F6. In the next screen, open up the folder with the correct run date and select the node - on the right hand side of the screen, click on the tab named Details. Click on No to the subsequent dialog box. Here, open up the last node named "Processing (data packet)" then open up node named "Data Package". Open up all nodes under this one and you'll probably find that either there is a custom start/end routine in the Transfer Rules or in the Update Rules which is filtering out the records from the PSA from updating the target (Cube/ODS). One of these nodes will show you the exact count of how many records came into PSA and how many were passed on to the data target to update it and the reason behind it, for e.g. "Number of data records changed form 16 to 2 in start routine".
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Sougata.

  • Key Figure value in Cube showing with extra zeros

Loaded data into the cube. When I display the result
Key figure values are showing with 2 extra zeroes and Quantity value shaowing with 3 extra zeroes.
    Original value
    Price, Quantity, Sales Rev
    2     1     2
    3     2     6
    When display value from cube
    Price, Quantity, Sales Rev
    2,00     1,000     2,00
    3,00     2,000     6,00
Why zero is showing? How can I display the original value? In PSA, values are showing correctly.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
These are the zeroes after the decimal places. this is the property of the key figure.
In your report you can change the display value. In the display properties of the Key figure under the number of decimal places make it as 0. This will remove the zeroes.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to push a perticular request from PSA to Data target using DTP in BI

    Hello all.
I have mulitple requests in PSA & wanted to move only perticular requests (Randomly,  say first request & last request ) to data target using DTP in BI 7.0. How can we do this.. ? Is there any option in DTP (BI 7.0)for selective loading of requests from PSA to Data Target..
      Thanks in advance..
    Cheers,
    sami.

    Hi,
It is possible by using 'zero fetch' in DTP
If you want only the recent req to be loaded.
    1. In PSA, change the status of the recent request to red
    2. Do a zero fetch
that is processing mode - No data transfer; delta status in source: fetched
With this processing mode you execute a delta without transferring data.
    3. change the particular request status back to green
    4. Run a delta load

  • Adding leading zeros before data loaded into DSO

    Hi
In below PROD_ID... In some ID leading zeros are missing before data loaded into BI from SRM into PROD_ID. Data type is character. If leading zeros are missing then data activation of DSO is failed due to missing zeros and have to manually add them in PSA table. I want to add leading zeros if they're missing before data loaded into DSO.... total character length is 40.. so e.g. if character is 1502 then there should be 36 zeros before it and if character is 265721 then there should be 34 zeros. Only two type of character is coming either length is 4 or 6 so there will be always need to 34 or 36 zeros in front of them if zeros are missing.
Can we use CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHPA_INPUT functional module ? As this is char so I'm not sure how to use in that case.. Do need to convert it first integer?
Can someone please give me sample code? We're using BW 3.5 data flow to load data into DSO.... please give sample code and where need to write code either in rule type or in start routine...

    Hi,
Can you check at info object level, what kind of conversion routine it used by.
Use T code - RSD1, enter your info object and display it.
Even at data source level also you can see external/internal format what it maintained.
if your info object was using ALPHA conversion then it will have leading 0s automatically.
Can you check from source how its coming, check at RSA3.
if your receiving this issue for records only then you need to check those records.
    Thanks

  • Display Of Blanks and Zeroes

    Hi,
We have an issue where the data in the source system has values 0 and for some its blank. When it is extracting the data into BI, at PSA level, its treating blanks as zeroes and storing as value 0, where there is no differentiation between these two. However, these values should be stored as blanks in BI also( PSA/DSO etc..). Is there a way where I can differentiate these 2 values at the time of data load? IS there any converdsion exit to differentiate these values?
    Pls respond...
    Kind Regards

  • Value  ZERO in BW

    Hi All,
Sales Order and Delivery has been created with one line item and  schedule line in R/3.
This record has been loaded into BW (DataSource 2LIS_12_VCSCL)
Eg:  DelNumb SalesOrd  Lineitem Schedule Line Delqty
              1234                   123          10           001                50
Later they have deleted schedule line and creted new schedule line  for same line item. Which is geting zero for Delqty
Eg  DelNumb     SalesOrd  Line item SchLine  Delqty
                1234         123          10           002                 0
Actually it has to show Delqty for schedule line  001 is 0
Delqty for Schedule Line 002 is 50
My investigation/assumption is When schedule line 001 is deleted  Delta couldnt recognize or find  any change for this deletion entry. When new schedule line(0002) is created two record are transfered.
When i have checked PSA :
DelNum  Salord   Schline  LineItem         Delqty Reversal Indicator
    123                     123     002                 10                 50
    123                     123     002                  10                -50       X
    123                     123     001                  10                 50
    Can any body help

If I have understood your problem, the net values is showing correctly in the BW-PSA ie. Del Qty = 50 (50-50+50).
In this it will not overwrite but pass a transaction with the negative value (reversal  indicator).
So your getting the right results.
    Hope it helps
    Thanks

  • PSA load

    Hi Gurus,
I am loading data from R/3 to PSA using InfoPack with Full Load by giving range in the selection. It showing  all the records in Monitor i.e X from X,but it is still Yellow. It saying in the status tab there are no errors. But I check in the details Tab--->Processing:warning received--->processing end :missing messages.
I found that some of DataPackets didn't recieve the records in PSA and Showing Zero Records. There are the records in Inbound but there are not coming in to PSA.The message is like above i.e Missing messages.
What could be the reason.Any inputs are appreciatable and awarded.
    Thanks,
    Suryam

    Hi Harish,
Thank you for the reply.I didn't find anything in SM58(Transactional RFC).But I found some messages in Environment form menu-->Transactional RFC-->in the Source System. They are messages like SQL error in the database when accessing Table .
How can I overcome this error? Please through some light.
    Thanks,

  • Leading zeroes to the objects; no conversion exist

    Hi All,
Info object data  is showing leading zeroes even though there is no conversion exit.
Here is the exact scenario: ZABC_WHL1 is the navigation attribute of MATNR_ABC.both fileds doesn't have any conversion exit.ZABC_WHL1 is of length 20.
Loaded the data for MATNR_ABC using a attrib data source .Upto the PSA level for ZABC_WHL1 (corresponding ECC filed)there are no leading zeroes. But when we go to display data for this objects it is showing leading zeroes ie.00000000000000023456.
Can anyone suggest how to remove these zeroes.

  • Zero Record Data Load Problem

    Hi,
Please give your suggestion for following problem.
we are loading data from ETL (Flat File - Data Stage) into SAP BW 3.1.
data may contain Zero records. When we try to push the data into BW. At ETL side, it is showing successful data transfer. At, BW side it is showing "Processing state" (Yellow light). and all BW resources are hang-up.
When we try to send another data load from ETL side, We could not push the data as BW resources are hang up by the previous process.
Whenever we are getting this kind of problem, we are killing the process and continuing with another data Re-load. But this is not a permanent solution. This is happening more often.
What is the solution for this problem?
One of my colleague suggested following suggestion. Shall I consider this one?
Summary:  when loading with empty files, data may be in the processing state in BW
Details:  When user load with empty file(must be empty, can not have any line returns, user can check the data file in binary mode), data is loaded into BW with 0 records. BW will show be in yellow state(processing state) with 0 record showing, and in the PSA inside BW, 1 datapacket will show there with nothing inside. Depends on how user configured their system, BW server can either accept the 0 record packet or deny it. When BW server is configured to accept it, this load request will change to green state(finished state). When the BW server is configured to deny it, this load request will be in the yellow state.
    Please give me ur suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    VPR

    hi VPR,
have you tried to set the light 'judge'ment
go to monitor of one request and menu settings->evaluation of requests(traffic light), in next screen 'evaluation of requests', 'if no data is avaible in the system, the request' -> choose option 'is judged to be successful' (green).
Set delta load to complete when no delta data
    hope this helps.

  • Error in PSA Request deletion

    Hey all,
    how are you!
I have a little glitch in my Processchain and since I can not seem to find an answer myself I was wondering if any of you might give me some feedback
In a processchain I created, I wanted to delete the PSA-table contents and I added this process called "Deletion of requests from PSA".
But whenever I check my daily run, I have to get back (due to its "red" nature) and do manually 'rightclick>repeat' and then all seems well.
The 'red' condition upon monitoring gives me the message "no sub-request for this request"...
    well...anyone?

    Hey Olivier,
It is a transactional load from an R/3 ODS.
In the processchain first we load an ODS and then we start with a request-deletion on the PSA.
    Options:
    - older then...zero days
    the others are not used.
    Nothing fancy

  • Zero records added after dataload from texttable of 1 infoobject to another

    Hello,
We are working on BI 7.0 (2004S)  but we still use BW 3.5 data flow.
We have a requirement to load text data from one infoobject (0material) to another infoobject (0rt_confmat). The actual requirement was - Text table of  0material (/BI0/TMATERIAL) should  be added  to info-object 0RT_CONFMAT text table.)
    0rt_confmat is a navigational  attribute of 0material.
I did the following steps to load this data using 2 methods. The data loads using both these methods are successful but zero records are added to the text table of 0rt_confmat.
    Method 1 :
    1. Text table of  0material (/BI0/TMATERIAL) cannot be added directly to info-object 0RT_CONFMAT text table.
So a datasource ZTXTMATERIAL was created with text table  /BI0/TMATERIAL.
    2. Infosource, transfer rules and update rules were created. Changes were made to
the info-object 0RT_CONFMAT to include its own text table according to the specifications given.
    Method 2:
    1.  created an export datasource for 0material and did the necessary steps such as replicating data source, creating infosource, update rules and transfer rules and infopackage.
The problem is that the number of transferred records  is 16089 but 0 records are added to the text table of 0RT_CONFMAT.
Records from text table are not getting loaded from
I have searched sdn and sap notes but was unable to find a solution for this issue.
Is it not possible to load data from the text table of a characteristic infoobject to the text table of its navigational attribute ?
Please suggest a solution for this issue.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Radhika

    Hi All,
Please refer below for replies to your questions
Now I was to suggest the second approach:
    1. What have you set into the transfer structure, did you map 0rt_confmat with 0rd_confmat? -  I mapped it with 0material
    2. Do you see text elements in the transfer structure? -yes the text elements exist in the transfer structure
    3. As 0rt_confmat is an attribute of 0material, there is a possibility that for multiple material you may have same 0rt_confmat. In that case, your load may fail saying duplicate records.  - The data load is successful, but records are not added to the target.
    4. What is the data type for 0rf_confmat and 0material in your system? - Both are character strings
On what basis are you loading the text from 0material to 0rt_confmat. -the key field 0material is mapped to 0rt_confmat
Your problem seems to be the update rules / transfer rules from 0MATERIAL text table to 0RT_CONFMAT, that's why in your second method you have transfered values, but none were added.
Remember that you have to have a key for 0RT_CONFMAT and the text for that key mapped through transfer rules, and I beleive that 0MATERIAL text table doesn't have the key for 0RT_CONFMAT, but has the key for 0MATERIAL. If you want both keys to be the same, then in your transfer rules map 0MATERIAL to 0RT_CONFMAT, and the text from 0MATERIAL to the text for 0RT_CONFMAT.
Is that what you've done? - Yes, in the update rules 0material is mapped to 0rt_confmat and the text from 0material is mapped to text from 0rt_confmat. After reading your reply I mapped 0MATERIAL to 0RT_CONFMAT  it in the transfer rules as well, but still zero records are added.
The data load is successful using both methods , but records are not getting added.
Can you chk in RSA3 if the data is extracted for the datasoruce ZTXTMATERIAL?? - Yes, data gets extracted.
ALso while you loaded the data, did you get the data in the PSA? - Yes data is seen in the PSA.
Please suggest how I can proceed now.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Radhika
