Adobe Connect Plug-in failure: either video och shared screens / documents

I'm Sven-Erik Tiberg imeet admin at Lulea Univ. of Technology.
We have 7 studios for confernaces and distance education all running Adobe Connect and other conferance systems.
Each studio has a dedicated computer running Adobe Connect where video and sound are routed trugh a programable Mutlimedia switch.
That's the big picture.
Connect are running perfect in 6 studios but we got challanges in the high end studio where all videos streams are in HDSI format 1250 - 750 / 24 bit.
We can either broadcast connect-video by uninstalling the Adobe Connect add-on OR share whiteboard / computer screens / documents by installing the add-in.
Have tried with vers. 9 add-in w/o any improvements.
We have made some test applications using flash to display the video and as you guess the video are displayed with great satisfaction.
Are there any add-in out there / in test that can help us.
PS. all 7 studios are booked appr. 70% of day and evening time so we are in a bit of hurry getting also this studio running in full production.

Some clarifications,the capture card we uses are Datapath VisionRGB E1 and E2 using DVI capture.

The source is from a Tandberg Camera using 1280x720P@ 50 Hz.
The video is routed trough a HDSDI router trough a HDSDI to HDMI converter (AJA Hi5 3G).

The capture card supports direct show capture and works well on other video tools; Windows Movie Maker, Skype, etc. and also with Flash based capture tools such as Tokbox and normal Flash video capture (Tested using Actionscript 3)
Camera = Camera.getCamera()
Video = new Video()
So so long everything is fine, but in Adobe Connect we have some problems!
It captures video in Adobe Connect when the plugin is not installed, but when the plugin is installed, just an icon and the plugin tells that video is broadcasted, but no video is shown or broadcasted to other Connect users!
When we uninstall the Add-in the video works as it should again, but without the plugin no screen sharing and we want both!
What is the difference with the video capture using the normal Connect program and the Connect Add-in.
Tested with both the latest 7 Add-in as well as the Adobe Connect 8 add-ins
Any one seen this problem before?

  • When Viewing Adobe Connect Training, why are Audio/Video out of synch

    I am a new Captivate 5.5 user and I have been using the Adobe Connect Training material to come up to speed on the product. However, I have noticed that when viewing presentations in Connect, over time, the audio and video eventually are completely out of synch. What is being discussed (in the audio) has nothing to do with what is being shown on the screen. This happens on all Connect Training videos.  I have a high-speed Internet connection and I never have problems with streaming content from other sources such as YouTube, etc.  What am I doing wrong?

    Dang, though it was worth a shot.
    Now, one user here, Jim Simon, uses similar, and has worked out a percentage that he adjusts the remote mic's material to fit with his camera. Cannot recall exactly now, but it seems that he alters the Audio by a factor of about 104%. My memory is cloudy on the exact figure, and Jim seems to be on extended holiday. Not sure now, if he uses the Rate Stretch, or runs his mic's audio through Audition. Sorry that the memory is so fuzzy now.

  • Adobe Connect will not allow presenter to share their screen

    Hello,,
    I need your help. 
    I had to cancel a virtual Photoshop users group meeting last week because Adobe Connect had some problems with allowing our presenter to share his screen.  By the way he was using a Mac OS.
    We could hear him but Connect crashed every time he tried to share his screen.  We tried on every browser to include Safari. Opera, Firefox and Chrome.  His bandwidth was impeccable for a home user at 63 megs/sec .
    Any suggestions and help on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much for taking the time to assist on this.

    We had another Connect meeting today and I need some insight from you on Adobe Connect.  For the last 3 meetings that I conducted using Adobe Connect my presenters audio just drops away in the middle of the guest’s  presentation.  This issue has been consistent for all of my Thursday evening meetings.  By the way, my presenter’s bandwidth surpasses the expected speed that Adobe Connect requires.
    I have used Adobe Connect quite a bit and love it but my last 3 User group meetings were frustrating due to the presenters audio just dying .  Once again, all had more than acceptable bandwidth. Most were 30 gbits on up.  One person was 60 and higher and the same thing happened to them.
    During the meetings I have myself and one other person as hosts  and our audio is never affected.  It’s only the presenter who is affected.
    Are the User group managers being limited to a certain bandwidth?  I have had this consistent issue for the past 3 months. 
    What do you think is most likely going on?
    I hope that you an assist with this.  My cell is 901 494-0553.

  • Adobe Flash plug-in failure in Lion 10.7.4 - HOW TO FIX?

    Just upgraded to Lion 10.7.4, then the video stopped playing in Safari.
    Upgraded Safari, then installed the latest Flash player, V. 11.2.202.235
    Also have the latest graphic card drivers.
    VIDEOS NO LONGER RUN IN SAFARI!!
    I am beginning to remember the nightmares we used to have when we upgraded Windows.  I don't want to change anything any more.  Apple is beginning to suck.  I only went to Lion because Apple forced me because of iCloud.  MANY REGRETS NOW.
    I was going to upgrade my wife's laptop tomorrow.  Now I won't until someone helps me fix my computer.

    You're clearly very upset about all this and while I can't specifically help you, perhaps the following will ease your mind.
    There have been a number of reports similar to yours over the past week or so, especially since the 10.7.4 update.
    Highly respected Baltwo on this forum recommended filing a bug report to Apple.
    You should try to make use of the small section to the right of your original post 'More like this' which usually relates to the question you asked.    And from each p[oiunt made there are usually other leads.
    Just needs a bit of research

  • Intermittent video problem on Adobe Connect Pro

    I have this intermittent video problem on the Adobe Connect pro server. The video connent sometime display blank even though it showed playing in the status bar and I can hear the audio part of it. Do someone have similar problem as mine?

    I've had to "cache" uploaded videos by playing them shortly before the audience will see them. For me, the cache holding time when using Adobe's servers is about 5 minutes.

  • Video Capture Card for Adobe Connect

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a video capture card for the Mac to use with Adobe Connect? I have a HD camera that I want to connect to my Mac through the S video connection on the camera. I need a video capture card that will work with Adobe Connect.

    The Video Telephony Pod is the video pod when Video Telephony Conferencing equipment/cameras are configured to talk with Adobe Connect. This was introduced in Connect 8.1 for SIP and H.264  based VTC systems. It will only work with H.264 video streams from the VTC type cameras found in conference rooms. Usually the major players in the U.S. are Polycom and Tandberg.
    The VTC Pod appears as a standard pod once the administrator of an Adobe Connect on-premise server has configured the various admin screens and added the SIP addesees to the configuration xml file.
    The video quality is different than the webcam video as here is a table:

    So, that HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW refer to the Adobe Connect room preference setting for video. Notice that HIGH shows we can deliver 720p resolution.
    The normal webcam video pod is locked to 480p (VGA) 4x3 resolution at 20 frames per second but the server admin on an on-premise install  can alter a configuration xml file to go 24 fps but not higher than VGA on the webcam pod.
    Probably more than you ever imagined I would share but that's my style.

  • Stream tv "plug in failure" issue

    I use the site stream-tv.co to stream shows... it has always worked in the past and recently i'm unable to view any of the shows.
    I have updated my Flash to v16 and my OS is up to date (OS X v10.9.5) and I've updated Flash Player as wel
    The video will load for about 3 seconds then the screen goes white and says "plug in failure"
    I've attached the screen shot.

    Do you know which plug-in? Flash Player maybe?

  • Adobe Connect Addin 11.2 r247 has stopped working

    Every time I try to screen share, or share an application.  Any ideas?

    Other than adjusting the resolution, are there other solutions?  I continue to get a pop up window saying that there is not enough bandwidth to handle the sharing of documents.  We have plenty of bandwidth.  Another pop up that I am getting is that "the program has performed an action that requires Windows to temporarily change the color scheme to Windows basic...Adobe Connect plug in 11.2 r247."  Any suggestions?

    I am going to be attending a virtual classroom interview tomorrow. I need to know why it is taking a LONG time for my adobe connect window to load? This is a NECCESSITY i need for my job interview please help! I have ALL requirements on my system the Adobe Connect is already installed as well.

    there is no firewall restriction, and other people can use addin on their computer using windows or Mac on the same network
    i forgot to say in my first message that connect works fine in my navigator (without sharing screen of course) if I remove the connect addin application from my computer
    You mentionned the need to call Adobe Support, how can i contact them to have debug messages on ?
    Any other hints?

    Hi all,
    Just wondering if anyone has done this, or if it can be done at all.
    I've produced a load of documentation for our web application, now we are beiong tasked with going down the elearning route with online courses etc.
    I just want to know if there is any useful integration between robohelp, adobe connect, and/or captivate in terms of sharing content etc.
    Even linking within RH to start a connect session or something similar.

    I haven't used Connect Pro but my understanding is that it is just a kind of portal into which you can placecontent that can be viewed over the web between disparate groups. Adding content to Connect Pro (e.g. a Captivate movie) should be easy to do. Once there, you'd just link to the URL from your RoboHelp project. You'd need to enter user logon details no doubt which makes me wonder whether this is the way forward for you. I'd have thought you could integrate your Captivate movies INSIDE your RoboHelp project and publish this to the web. That way you wouldn't need Connect Pro.
    If it's of help we do just this, although in our case the movies are stored on our own internal server. We just link to them from the help so they open in a separate window.

  • Video playback issue for Adobe Presenter 9 when publishing to Adobe Connect Pro 7

    Hello!
    I am having an issue with video playback for Adobe Presenter 9. When I preview the presentation on my computer there are no issues with any of the MP4 videos that I have loaded into my presentations. However, when I publish the presentation to Adobe Connect and access the URL the videos are either delayed or do not appear at all.  We are using our own Adobe server which we purchased in 2008, along with Adobe Connect Pro 7. We recently updated our Adobe Presenter software to version 9. Is there an incompatibility issue between Adobe Presenter 9 and our current Adobe Server/current version of Adobe Connect? Or do I need to do something different in Adobe Presenter when importing the videos?  Note: I have tried FLV videos and had the same issue.
    We are trying to launch of series of webinars (each webinar has between 15-42 slides), which was the whole purpose of updating our Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate software....hopefully we can resolve this video issue.

    Connect 7 didn't support MP4 video content, as I recall. Another issue is that Connect rooms are using Action Script 2 (AS2) while Presenter 9 uses AS3, and the two code languages don't play well together. You don't mention if you are using the meeting application to display the presentation, but it is worth mentioning. If the presentations are stand alone, then the AS3 issue should be non-existent, but the MP4 support may be.
    Is there a reason you haven't updated the Connect software to Connect 9 (or at least Connect 8.1 where the Connect application became AS3 as a whole and supported MP4 content)?

    Since I installed Adobe flash player13 for OS X Snow Leopard I get the plug-ins failure warning when trying to watch any videos on you tube or on any other web site in general, I followed other threads suggestions on the subject already posted but none of them worked or mentioned that the problem arised after installing the flash player update. Any suggestions? Please help,

      We are aware that Macs created between 2006 and 2007 are currently running into problems using the latest release of Flash Player (version 13).  We apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing.  We are actively investigating the cause and hope to have a full solution to you shortly.  In the meantime, please follow this two step procedure which will revert you back to version 12.
    Download and run our uninstaller:
