1131AG - LED ring is solid red
Hello.
I appreciate anyone who can answer this question. I'm writing from a high school in Detroit, Michigan.
We have a Cisco Aironet 1131AG access point that broadcasts to our gym for parent meetings, etc.
Recently this device has stopped transmitting. No one can pick up a wireless signal. The LED ring is solid red.
I took it to my office and plugged it in, and the ring is still red.
The user's guide doesn't have any reference to this problem, and I couldn't find it on the Cisco website.
Could it have been hit by a power surge, or do you think it's something else?
Many thanks,
Ed Morykwas
Okay, I tried it but I don't think it worked. Here's what I did...
1. Unplugged the ap.
2. Downloaded and installed Hyperterminal Private Edition 7.0. on my computer.
3. Launched the program.
4. Pulled down the File menu and clicked New Connection. I gave the name "Cisco" to the new connection.
5. Click the Configure button and verified that the settings were 9600 8-N-1.
6. Connected a CAT5 cable from the Console port of the ap to the Ethernet port on the back of my computer.
7. Plugged in the power of the ap.
Nothing happened. No writing appeared on the screen.
The LED ring is still solid red. The small Ethernet LED light is also solid red. The small Radio LED light is a mixture of red and yellow.
I've never used Hyperterminal before. Did I miss something?

CFP status led - stays lit solid red!
Hi,
I have a problem with a cFP-2120 RT controller where the red LED status light stays lit. On the instruction manual it says that the unit was not powered up correctly and to contact NI. The controller used to work fine until we had a short on the mains side of the power supply The AI, AO and thermocouple modules did not power up but the DI and DO modules seemed to be getting power. Is there anything we can do or just send it back for repairs. When I replaced the controller with another one, the system worked fine and the status LED turned off after a few seconds.

Inzaghi_2Sounds like you've proven that the controller is bad. Next step is an RMA from NI. Make sure NI tells you what failed in the controller and see if they will comment on what might have caused it. The idea being to see if you can do anything to prevent this failure in the future.

ASUS P6X58D Memory OK (MEMOK!) issue DRAM LED Stays solid red.
HI
This morning when I turned on my computer, it would not boot. Not even the most basic boot (I could not get to the ASUS bio DOS screen, for example). It would only sound one beep, and then finally a second beep-- but the second beep did not sound immediately thereafter. . Usually, I recall, I hear two rapid beeps almost immediatley when I boot up.
I did some checking on the net. It appears to be a memory issue. I reset my memory in their slots. But that did not help.
I saw the on the ASUS motherboard the DRAM LED light was solid red. After checking the manual (and checking some YouTube videos), I pressed the MEMOK! button right next to the DRAM LED light.
According to the manual, when using WIndows OS the system will reboot as it does its "Flashing lights" test to try to use a memory failsafe setting. However, even after reboot the red light stayed solid and appeared not to do the testing.
Perhaps I am not doing the test correctly. For example, do I keep my finger on the MEMOK! button throughout the tests and reboots?? Or just press once, and never press it again.
ASUS USA support appears to be closed today for the New Year's holiday. So I am wondering if anyone here has some suggestions. My memory was working fine up until this morning.
I suppose I could wait until tomorrow when ASUS phone support is live again, but thought someone might have some suggestions / tests I can do today.
Thanks
RowbyWell I fixed it.
Not sure exactly what I did that fixed it, but here is what I did.
1) I unplugged the computer.
2) I disconnected the power supply from the motherboard.
3) I removed the battery.
4) I let it sit for about an hour.
5) I pushed the motherboard reset button on the back of my computer (I perhaps should have done this first, but I did it.)
6) I put a new battery into the motherboard (perhaps the old one was dead or a zombie.)
7) I reconnected the power supply to the mother board.
8) I plugged in the box.
9) I heard the familiar two beeps, and sure enough the unit booted up.
Upon bootup the ASUS screen had me to into bios and double check everything. Then it all rebooted again, and opened windows 7.
I will make sure I have the lastest ASUS bios. But I see that it is recognizing all 24 GB of memory, so I guess I am good to go.

My LED has turned a solid Red color. It's on all the time and is only off when I pull the battery out. My phone does still charge. I've done everything to get rid of it even wiping my blackberry and upgrading the software. I read something about Blackberry Music Gateway? I do use my pearl to listen to Pandora everyday and iheart radio with a 3.5 cable that plugs into the dash of my truck, but it never did this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
JustinJustin, so you've wiped the device completely and reloaded a new OS... still does the same. Anytime the BlackBerry is powerd on, the LED lights up RED?

8830 Will not charge, shows solid red LED when connected
I plugged my phone in to my wall charger Saturday night as I always do-Sunday morning the phone was dead and would not turn on. It shows a solid red light on the LED.
I cannot seem to get it to charge. Briefly, the charging battery icon showed up on the screen, but now it went out. Just sitting there, every once in a while the LED goes out.
Help, anyone? I've tried taking out the battery and reinserting both with the phone plugged in and not.I had same problem except I discovered that as long as I did not let the battery fully die, it would charge with no issues. But if it died completely, I would get the red light briefly, it would go out and then lightning bolt on battery would show up but no charge at all.

ActionTec GT 701C Internet Light Solid Red despite DSL Light Solid Green - How to fix?
Hello
I can't get my ActionTec GT701c to get online in So Cal.
I get a solid Red Led on Internet.
DO I reset the Modem?
Go to the panel and do something there?
What shall I try?
Thank you for any tips and tricks.Hey sands2k2, there is a reset button in between the Ethernet port and the power cord connection on the modem. You will need a paper clip or pin to press and hold the reset button down for 20secs then let it go for it to reset.

BEFW11S4 reflash firmware with solid red Diag?
Is it possible to reflash the firmware on a BEFW11S4 (I believe v1, there is no v# after the model number) with a solid red Diag LED? I cannot access the HTML control panel since the router never fully boots. I git this used and didn't know it was **bleep**... Thanks.
You need to access the router's setup page to do the upgrade or in your case, to reflash the firmware. If you're currently unable to establish a connection to the router (i.e. no IP address) then do a RESET. Once the wired client grabs an IP address from the router, ping the router's IP address. Proceed with accessing the setup page if the router sends out replies. However, if the request times out or if the ping results show "hardware failure" or "media disconnected" then this may mean that the BEFW11S4 is bricked.

No display, it also does not chime.. Just sits in fan overdrive and solid red light..
I hold the power button to turn off and it does.. No led flashes.. Red light is the one behind the power button, no other lights on..
Help would be greatly appreciated... Have looked at so many links, but they don't have the exact same problem
Thanks in advance.... Innit!Hello,
Fans going full blast is normal if the OS doesn't load OK.

When opening an image in Adobe Camera Raw in CC, the image is solid red
The image is solid red and not my image. I have been working on an image and several layers of work done on things like white balance, color cast. When I add a CAL I cant get to ACR at all. If im on the previous CAL I can open in ACR but with the red image. I am on a Mac 10.8.5 Have the latest version of CC installed. Help!
An hour later I went back and on a copy of my Background layer, I opened the image in ACR. So what are the parameters of ACR that I don't understand? You can't do that in ACR, but you can if you open it in Photoshop and use the crop tool there.

My HP Envy HD always had a solid blue light on the tower panel. Last night, the tower panel had a solid red light & monitor said no signal, check video connection, so hubby changed HDMI cable. Still didn't work, but somehow he did get it to work & monito, computer functional. Problem, I still have a solid red line on tower panel. The tower light used to be solid blue - what happened to that? It's solid red consistently, whether I'm using computer or whether it's asleep. Called HP support and was told my computer is fine. They couldn't answer what happened to the blue light. I'm concerned. Red always is a warning, right? Help! Thanks for any advice.
You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Blackberry LED light keeps flashing red
Yesterday Vodacom Care gave me a new Q5 device - i had a Q5 for 2 months and the phone just went dead - so they replaced it . Now my Q5 LED light keeps flashing red and it's a NEW PHONE ??? - make it stop please !
Hello,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Thanks for the question.
Follow the steps below to try and bring the BlackBerry Q5 back to life:
Ensure that BlackBerry Link is installed on the PC or Mac OS
Ensure the computer has an internet connection.
Launch the BlackBerry Link Software.
Note: A backup of the BlackBerry device should be tried before a reload.
Turn off the BlackBerry device. Make sure there are no flashing LEDs and that the LCD is not still being lit by the backlight. If there are any flashing LEDs, hold the power button for 15 seconds until the LEDs stop.
Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer.
When prompted with Cannot communicate with device, click Restore and then click yes allow the update to be downloaded and installed on the BlackBerry device.
If the restore button is not seen press the vertical dots in the lower right corner of BlackBerry Link and select disconnected device. Highlight the disconnected device you are working with and attempt steps 4 to 6 again.
If the issue still persists, then I suggest contacting your network service provider for repair options.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers.

Color picker bar on illustrator cc is broken. It is a solid red block instead of showing all of the colors.
Falcon Design,
It seems that the issue is caused by a corrupt folder called en_US or similar (depending on language) within the Adobe Illustrator 18 Settings folder, see post #7 by Jules in this thread,
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1595766
so the solution should be to move or rename that folder (or the whole Adobe Illustrator 18 Settings folder).
You can find the folder in Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed.
As a temporary roundabout way, you can select the lower rectangle to the right of the rainbow and DoubleClick to apply that to change the top rectangle and the values: the lower colour is the right one. -
Solid RED appointments with no rhyme or reason?
Does anyone know why some appointments have a red background color while others do not? I recently changed my Calendar >> Options >> Calendars/Desktop >> Appointment Color >> to “None”. Now some of my appointments have a solid red background color and others have “None”. I first thought this was a conflict alert of some sort but it is not. The Red and/or “None” colored appointments may overlap one another or stand alone; their “Show As” can be Free, Tentative, Busy, or Out of Office; and they can be recurring or single appointments. All day appointments are not affected nor does they presence (or not) affect the time specific appointment color(s) in any way. The only consistent trait I see is that this only occurs to current or future appointments (all red is removed from those past ) and they occur within the Start of Day and End of Day times established in General Calendar Options >> Formatting. Otherwise...this no color/red color seems to be random :-( Help! Anyone? :-)
Is it possible that you have more than one calendar in your BB? I noticed that after I synced mine with Outlook, I ended up with some appts in red, some in blue, & others in green. Then I saw that it somehow had 3 calendars instead of my typical/usual one... I believe what caused it was the fact that I had a different email address listed for CICAL and SMIME. (One had my email addy, the other had the BB email addy.)
If this is the case & you wish to only use 1 calendar, backup your data (use desktop manager) because the following steps will irreversibly merge everything into one calendar:
Open the CALENDAR
Press the MENU button
Select OPTIONS
Then type MOVE on the keypad. (Note: What you type will not be displayed on the screen, so don't freak out.)
Choose YES when asked to move all appts into the base system calendar. **** Which calendar is the base? ****
Upon completion, do a hard reset by taking the battery out while the device is still on, then put the battery back in. (Some call this a battery pull.)
**** This will move all calendar entries existing on the Device Default calendar to the active calendar shown under Options > Advanced Options > Default Services. ****
If calendar entries are split between two or more BIS calendars (different email addresses), you should complete the following steps per calendar:
Go to Options > Advanced Options > Default Services.
Verify the correct email address is shown for Calendar [CICAL].
Press the back arrow and save the changes if prompted.
In the Advanced Options menu, choose Service Book.
Highlight the entry for the calendar you do not want. This will appear as [email protected] [CICAL].
Press the menu button and select Delete.
By deleting a CICAL, any calendar entries associated with it are moved to a Device Default calendar. This step can be repeated if additional calendars contain entries you want to move.
Once all desired entries have been moved to the Device Default calendar using the above steps, follow the above first steps to move the calendar data into 1, then resend service books to the BlackBerry smartphone.
Service books can be resent to the BlackBerry smartphone by completing the tasks in KB02830.
If the calendar is synchronized to a computer with BlackBerry Desktop Manager software, the configuration for BlackBerry Desktop Manager will need to be reset and set up again before completing another synchronization. For more information on synchronization settings, see KB17022.
