Adding a cost centre before printing

Hello there,
We've a Windows Server 20k12 R2 running with all printers mapped in print server, every month I export a report about every print done by users.
I would like to know if its possible add an user input before printing to select cost center.
Any experience with this?
Thanks and regards.

Hi,

  • Printer setup for cost centre reports

    Hello SAP Gurus
We need to print them at the month end to review the costs with the Departmental Managers
If we use the icon ''customising local layout'' + ''hardcopy'' the print uses portrait ,therefore does not  completely print the end column ''available''
If we use the  print icon ,we additionally have to click the next three ''green ticks''.This adds up to 4 x 80 = over 320  clicks to get the cost centres all printed
(using excel download takes even longer)
    Any solution to this?
    Thanks

Set up printer to have validity settings for all reports and opting to print all variants in seperate spool request.

  • Using a CC with a Balance Transfer without added interest cost

I have several cards on 0% or low APR BT Offers, and those CC have also made me offers for cash back if I use the card for purchases. How can you do this, if the card is already on a BT, without destroying the low APR on the BT? Easy.  An important thing to understand about your credit card statement is that your statement balance can have multiple APR on several different portions of the balance. In this Bank of America example, I’ve got two separate 0% APR with different expiration dates, balance transfers left over from earlier at the purchase APR, and purchases at the standard purchase APR. The amounts shown are not the ending balance, but rather the average balance during the credit card statement period. (even this average balance isn’t exactly what the interest is charged on, because CC interest is charged on a daily percentage, resulting in daily compounding)Before Congress passed the CARD Act, most CC agreements would apply ALL payments to the lowest APR first, meaning in the above example the ~$8k on the two 0% APR would be paid first, all $8k, before even beginning to pay on the ~$500 at the purchase APR. This is a favorable purchase APR, but imagine if the purchase APR was at 19%? To make matters worse, the interest on the purchase APR items would usually add to the Purchase balance, and continue to compound the interest cost on the purchases until all the lower APR items were paid off however many months that took. Needless to say, in the old days it was not a good idea to use your credit card for regular purchases if you had a BT on the card.  That all changed with the CARD Act a few years ago. Since the credit reforms of the CARD Act, credit card issuers are allowed to apply the minimum payment to the lowest APR items first. However, after the minimum payment, they must apply payments to the highest APR items. The minimum payment depends on statement balance, but is often only 1% to 2% of that statement balance. In the example above, the statement balance of almost $8k required a minimum payment of only $82. This would be applied to the approximately $8k 0% APR balance first. Any additional payments above the $82 for the month would be applied to the highest APR items next. Actual interest charges usually fall into the higher APR buckets.  On the BofA cards, I get little offers for 10% cash back from certain national merchants. HairMasters, Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, Papa Murphy’s, and several others are regularly available to add the offer to the card, use it at the merchant for one purchase, and get 10% cash back. With my Citi Diamond Preferred, I also had a $600 BT offer on the $1k CL, then got a 5% back on $500 of purchases in gas, groceries, restaurants and department stores. My Discover card had several thousand on a 0% BT, then they sent me a “spend $1,000, get $100 back” offer. My US Bank Cash+ has a low APR BT offer, and 5% categories for Department stores. How do you take advantage of the spend offers and not get interest charges? You usually have to accept / sign up for the spend offer, to add it to the card, so do that first. When you use the card for any of the offers, depending on the spend involved in the offer, just keep track of those as they post to your CC account online during the month. You have to wait until the charge amount actually posts to your credit card account, so it is no longer Pending. After it posts, it will be in the “Purchases” bucket of the daily interest charge calculations. Said differently, you cannot prepay these charges, you have to wait for the amounts to show up as Posted on your account online. It only takes a few days after you did the purchase, and you don’t have to wait until the statement cuts to see the amounts, but they do have to post to your account. After a few charges have posted, use the Make a Payment button on your credit card account to arrange an electronic payment from your checking account, to post the same day or in a few days. If you know when charges will hit, you can also schedule such a payment for a few days after, to allow time for the charges to post. Repeat this throughout the month if the spend offer is a long term thing. The amount of the payment you make must cover the Minimum Payment first. I’ll often just send over the minimum payment right after the statement prints, just to get it out of the way. I owe the amount, the BT needs to be paid off, and the Minimum Payment is a small amount anyway. I’ve also got Autopayments set up for all these accounts, which is intended to pay the BT offer over a schedule. I don’t use the Autopayment amount in my calculations of paying the purchase amount, although they would be applied to the purchase amounts. By paying the purchase soon after it posts, and after the minimum payment has been made, the interest rate clock never really gets started on the purchase amount. You may see a minimum interest charge of $0.50 if the card charges that, but often I don’t even get that amount if the payment is soon enough after the charge was posted. Chase Slate and Freedom cards are actually even easier. You can use the Blueprint Full Pay payment selector features to tell Slate the types of charges you want to include as pay in full, and they will add those new charges to your Blueprint payment to pay them above the minimum payment that is going toward the BT payment, and not accrue any additional Purchase interest. The Finish It allows you to set an additional amount you want to pay toward the BT (or purchase charges) principal over the minimum payment, to make the payments faster. So, the point of this is, if you have a BT offer on a card, you don’t have to effectively SD the card, it can be used for purchases to take advantage of special offers, or even for regular charges, without added interest cost.

    tjhallow wrote:
But since I don't have any interest on balance transfers and purchases on my discover card right now I usually just make whatever I was making (before the charge) and then I add the new charges in there. If you're 0% on BT's and purchases then this thread really isn't relevant.  This is for those that have 0% on BT and >0% on purchases. kdm31091 wrote:
Basically, all this is saying, unless I am missing something, is that if you make purchases and pay them off before statement (i.e. don't carry the extra balance on top of the BT amount) you won't pay interest, which is the case with any CC, whether on a BT or not. I don't see how the rewards offers make any difference here. You're just paying charges as you go to avoid interest accruing. It is basically the same whether there's a 0% offer or not.  The OP started this thread to clarify for those that do have a 0% BT offer and still want to take advantage of rewards on the same card without impacting rewards by acrruing interest on new purchases.  If the card has no rewards as an incentive for new purchases then it's easy enough just to SD the card until the 0% offer balance is paid off. my-own-fico wrote:
I'm not sure whether to agree, because if you pay the minimum following the statement date and then charge something that you soon pay off, we are talking about two different billing cycles. The billing cycles really don't matter aside from generating a new minimum payment as each cycle closes out.  Regardless of cycle the minimum has to be covered first and then new purchases within the given cycle need to be paid off as quickly as possible. The minimum applies to the prior cycle. Additional payment(s) need to be made for purchases in the current cycle.

  • Add cost centre name field or description in line item reports

    Dear all,
How can the cost centre name or description be added in a report's lines (i.e. FBL1N). These fields (columns) are not included in the reports and need to add them. I have tried through special fields to include them but the table CSKSZ and fields KTEXT (Cost Centre name) and LTEXT (Cost centre description) are not included.
    Regards,
    George

    Hello,
You must use business transaction event 1650 for adding special field to FBL*N reports.
    Please refer OSS note below.

I hope it helps to you.

  • Cost Centre Plan data not updating FAGLFLEXT

    Dear Experts,
In our production environment, our cost centre plan is not updating FAGLFLEXT table. Profit centre plan using GP12N is fine.
We are using the New GL and have FIN-CCA and FIN-PCA scenario activated.
Integrated planning is ticked in the planning versions for both Controlling and New GL Plan versions.
Controlling plan version and New GL plan version have the same name.
In table Controlling table COSP, I can see the plan data on business transaction type RKP1.
I expect to see it in FAGLFLEXT with RKP1 but I see no plan values at all.
In fact, in the previous 3 environments, we have not had this problem and cost centre plan and actual has updated FAGLFLEXT. Only in Production...
Any suggestions? Help if you can! Thanks alot,
    Deb

    Dear Ravi,
I don't think this is the problem.
    It seems that:
    - the CC plan was created -> it updated CO tables e.g. COSP -> no update to FAGLFLEXT
    - the CC plan was deleted -> it updated CO tables with negative value -> updated FALFLEXT with negative value
-the CC plan was update again -> it updated CO table -> updated FAGLFLEXT and balance with negative value is zero
    - the CC plan was deleted again -> it updated CO tabe with negative value -> FAGLFLEXT  is in minus value!
It seems like somewhere between first and second steps, the scenario FIN-CCA was not behaving like it was active!
Have you come across this before?
    Thanks!

  • Shade background before printing a form

    Hi,
I have a single page form which need to be printed twice, the first copy with a white background ( standard ) the second copy needs to have the page shaded with a yellow Background.
Reason to save having to put a white paper and yellow paper into printer. Will then only need two sheets of white paper.
I know the printing javascript just need the code for shading the background before printing.
    Thanks
    panos

Don't forget that a bit of yellow paper is probably a lot cheaper than the ink. Don't know if the cost or the conveninece was your goal.

  • LiveCycle Newbie: Validate Before Printing Form

I have a form created in Adobe Acrobat Pro that I have brought into LiveCycle to add print and emails buttons to. However, I need a specific functionality added to the standard "Print" button. It is a legal form that has required fields and the client needs to fill in all the required fields on the form BEFORE printing and signing it. We have had problems in the past with clients not filling in all the required fields before sending it back to them. So, I need to somehow make the print button check to make sure all the required fields are filled in and send a warning message and/or prevent printing if all the required fields are not filled in. Is there a way to do this?
I am using LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 and I am VERY new to this program so the simpler the solution the better.
Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hi
I would add another fake print button over the top of the existing one but just add a standard button not a print button.
then to the click scripting event in the script editor add something like the below
    if ((TextField1.rawValue == null) or (TextField2.rawValue == null) & (CheckBox1.rawValue == "1")) then
xfa.host.messageBox("You must enter the required data to be able to print this form")
    else
    PrintButton1.execEvent("click")
    endif
as you are relatively new to this. Incase the above it giberish to you I will try to explain what the above is doing.
the above is an if statement using formcalc (which is the default on button objects)
as this code is inserted in to the click event  (you can see what event you are looking from the dropdown at the top left of the script editor window.... make sure click is selected, and formcalc is set in the drop down to the right of the script editor window.
each bracketed command e.g. (TextField1.rawValue == null) is address a single field in your form. You will need to make sure you adjust these names and the path to these names so it may end up looking like (Form1.subform.TextField1.rawValue == null).
A quick tip to ensure you have the right path is with the cursor in the script window move your mouse over the field you wish to address, hold Ctrl button and click the field. This will load the field path in to the script editor and all you have to add is the .rawValue portion of the command.
You require '==' because means 'is equals to' in formcalc
the null term means 'if the field is empty'
if you have checkboxes that require to be ticked you must address them and look for a value of 1 (as in the example) as as default when a checkbox is selected it has a value of 1.
you can use or commands or & commands between expressions.
please note all the comments together require brackets round them hence the double brackets at the start and end of the expression.
once you have added all the required expressions to the top line
the second line is saying if the statement returns a true value  e.g. in our example a true value would be returned if TextField1 or TextField2 empty AND the checkBox1 is not ticked
then this will pop up a message box saying you have not entered the required fields to print this form
then the else statement says to click the print button for the user.... which will print the form as the print button does now.
I know it may seem complicated but it honestly is not that difficult.
Feel free to come back to me if you need any further help.
    Regards
    Graham

  • Cost centre assemment cycle

    Dear all,
Question on Cost Center Assessment Cycle:
Controlling environment: only one controlling area with several company codes.
In my standard hierarchy we've got some nodes with cost centre from different company codes in the same node.
I would like to transfer cost from one node to another node via an assessment cycle.
So I activated “company code” in header data as selection criteria for cost center assessment cycle via Tcode KCIU.
This selection criteria will allow SAP to sort cost centre and only takes the one which will correspond to company code selected.
The sender rule is the "posted amount" and the receiver rule is the "percentage".
Once cycle has been created, I click on the check icon and the check was successful.
When I execute it, SAP warns me that "no valid sender entries were found". The message errors numbers are GA749 and GA710. And those messages correspond to FI message and not CO.
I do not understand because there are posted amounts and all cost centers exist with the good period of validity.
Do you know why? Do you have an explanation?
Is it really possible to activate some news criteria selection for cost centre assessment cycle? Or definitively not possible.
Did I forget any else customizings?
    Best regards
    Sovann leng

You have two directions to resolve this issue:
1- check TCODE GCA8 and check whether the new GL tables are listed or added specially the FAGLFLEXT
2- You probably need to change the From To periods in the selection parameters. Don't make the From To the same period.
Make sure the Settlement profile is configured appropriately. With a bit of trial and error concerning the GCA8 including defining a new Cycle with another segment, and it'll work.

  • Cost centre hierarchy

What s the purpose of dealing with cost centre hierarchy?(Financial->Cost accounting-> cost centre hierarchy)
Where does this actualy fits into?
    Regards,
    vasanthi.

    Hello vasanthi,
Please look for the information on Cost Center via B1 online help.
    1. Financials->Cost Accounting->Define Cost Center Hierarchy, here
you can define a new template as you need, add department as
Slibling and add various expenses/revenues as the Child to relevant
    department.
    2. Financials->Cost Accounting->Profit Center - Report-> Select the
Dimension used in the template from the drop down list then tick the
radio button before 'Template' and select the template you have defined,
    then click 'OK'.
Link between cost center hierarchy and chart of accounts:
First of all, you define the various cost centers or departments in your
    company as profit centers.
Then assign revenue and expense accounts to the profit centers so that
any data relevant to a profit center can
be updated automatically for all transactions entered in the system.
(This is where we have a link between chart of accounts and cost center
    hierarchy).
Costs are allocated to the profit centers using information that you
define in a distribution rule. This means that any costs incurred willbe
allocated to the profit centers on the basis of a specific key.
If you decide that the way in which costs are allocated no longer
reflects the way in which your company works, you simply change the
    distribution rule as required.

  • Organisational keys are assigned based cost centre associated with Bus Area

    Hi ,
I need to add the authorization check in the Z* program Within TE, restrictions are being implemented based upon organisational key.  Organisational keys are assigned based upon whether or not the cost centre has an associated business area.  If a business area exists, then a restricted organisational key (in range US01* to US50*) is assigned.  Otherwise, a non-restricted organisational key is used.
Can any one help me !
    Thanks,
    Nelson

The authorization check for trip statistics reporting has a maximum of three stages:
    Before displaying the selection screen
Before the selection screen is displayed a check is made as to whether the user has the authorization to view just his own trip data, or also the trip data of other employees.
    The following check is made:
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'P_TRAVL'
    ID 'AUTHP' FIELD 'E'
    ID 'BUKRS' DUMMY
    ID 'PERSA' DUMMY
    ID 'KOSTL' DUMMY
    ID 'PERSG' DUMMY
    ID 'PERSK' DUMMY
    ID 'VDSK1' DUMMY
    ID 'PTZUO' DUMMY
    ID 'AUTHF' DUMMY
    ID 'AUTHS' DUMMY.
If the employee only has authorization to view his own data, the personnel number is determined using the Infotype Communication (0105). This personnel number is then displayed in the selection screen of the relevant report and can not be overwritten.
If the Infotype 0105 has not been maintained the program ends abnormally and an appropriate error message is issued. No further checks are made as the employee can only display his own data.
If the employee has the authorization to display the data of other employees as well, further authorization checks are made during the processing of the personnel and trip data.
    During processing of personnel data
The following check is made for every personnel number read from the database:
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'P_TRAVL'
    ID 'AUTHP' DUMMY
    ID 'BUKRS' FIELD pa0001-bukrs
    ID 'PERSA' FIELD pa0001-werks
    ID 'KOSTL' FIELD pa0001-kostl
    ID 'PERSG' FIELD pa0001-persg
    ID 'PERSK' FIELD pa0001-persk
    ID 'VDSK1' DUMMY
    ID 'PTZUO' DUMMY
    ID 'AUTHF' DUMMY
    ID 'AUTHS' DUMMY.
If the check is successful, the trip data for the personnel number is processed, if unsuccessful, the personnel number is ignored.
    During processing of trip data
The following check is made for each selected trip:
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'P_TRAVL'
    ID 'AUTHP' DUMMY
    ID 'BUKRS' FIELD pa0001-bukrs
    ID 'PERSA' FIELD pa0001-werks
    ID 'KOSTL' FIELD pa0001-kostl
    ID 'PERSG' FIELD pa0001-persg
    ID 'PERSK' FIELD pa0001-persk
    ID 'VDSK1' DUMMY
    ID 'PTZUO' DUMMY
    ID 'AUTHF' FIELD authf
    ID 'AUTHS' DUMMY.
The AUTHF field has 3 positions:
Position 1: S - Statistics data for reporting
Position 2: - Request status of trip
Position 3: - Settlement status of trip
If the check is successful, the selected trip is displayed in the report list, if unsuccessful, the trip is ignored.

  • Blocking of Cost centre and activity type

    Dear all,
Please tell me how to block cost centres and activity types which will no longer be used
    best rgds,
    Manoj

    Hi,
    There are two ways .
If you wish to use the cost center number for any other cost center , then you need to delete the cost center by KS04 & you need to mention the future period for which the same should deleted, normally, starting would be 1st day of next year to 31.12.9999
Keep in mind, cost center can only be deleted , if no data (Actual/Plan/reversal) is posted in it. You may do it , before starting next year's budget processing.
If you wish to just block the same , lock Actual primary/Secondary & Plan primary/Secondary in the control tab.

  • Migration of Cost Centre Hierarchy from 4.7 to ECC.0

    Hi Gurus
Our client is upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6
Now currently we have a standard hierarchy in Legacy system and multiple alternate hierarchies.
I would request your suggestions on the best way to be able to combine and modify the Hierarchies outside Legacy System before uploading into ECC.
I could find an IDOC COGRP01 which can create cost centre groups which requires data in a particular format.
    Best Regards
    Varun

    Hi Varun
Choice is yours! Whether you modify it in the Source system 4.7 version and then transfer it to ECC or you move it as it is to ECC and then modify it in ECC
you will have to choose between the two

  • Updation in fund center through cost centre.

    Dear Friends,
Please tell me the method to automatically update the Fund centre budget once the cost centre budget is updated
    Thanks & Regards,
    Reva.

    Dear Mar
    Thanks for your valuable reply.
The functionality of post Purchase Orders vide T Code FMN4N is working fine on most of the cases of Purchases Orders created before the activation of Funds Management, but it is not having any effect on some Purchases Orders created before the activation of Funds Management. It is showing them as analysed but is not reconstructing them nor any error message is given. But there is no error log or display log for them.
Even these un reconstructed POs are not displayed in the SAP standard report FMRP_RFFMEP30X - Line Items .
The reconstructed Pos are getting displayed in the FMRP_RFFMEP30X - Line Items .
Would appreciate an advise in this regard, how to get the remaining POs reconstructed.
