Assign cost object by condition type for accounting

Hello All,
Our scenario is that we have a single billing line with a service order assigned as the cost object on the line item.  This line has multiple condition types going to different GL accounts on the RV document.
Once the service order is on the billing line all of the RV document lines get the same service order for cost object assignment  We want to assign different cost objects (service order, internal order) to the different lines on the RV document based on the GL account.
Example:
Billing document line 10
Material 123456
Service order 999999
Condition type           GL                      Desired Cost Object
ZZ01                      480000                  999999 - service order
ZZ03                      560000                  11111 -  internal order
ZZ04                      470000                  999999 - service order
ZZ05                      440000                   22222 - internal order
We have the multiple GLs getting assigned, it is just the cost object on the RV document that is a problem.  Is there a way to do this in config...or is a user exit the only option?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response.  It looks like we're going to try and rework the account assignment so a user exit is not required (use OKB9 instead).

  • Assign Cost Object to Bal. Sheet Account???

    Hi experts;
         I found at my customer site that they set the fields of WBS element, Cost Center, Profit Center and Network are applicable with Bal. Sheet accounts at the time of Document entry like F-02.
         When I discussed with them that the B/S accounts should not be linked to any cost object and cost objects are only for the P/L accounts they said yes that is right in general, but they do that with some certain accounts like the Accrued Revenue to know exactly how much is expected to be collected from each project.
         But also as far I know that through the Document Split function on system I can get such result because if we assigned a Cost Obj. to a P/L account the system assign it to the other line of the document entry if it is B/L account, but I did not practice the Doc. Split before.
         So can someone kindly advice wither such process is correct or not? and if not, does it has any wrong impact if they insisted to do it? And does the Doc. Split can really help in such matter?
    Many thanks in advance;
    Best regards;

    Hi Ahmad Mahmud,
    The below is taken from SAP Note 75978 - Cost element type 90
    "Cost elements of category 90 were introduced with 3.0 to enable an availability control on an internal order assigned to a fixed asset even with directly activated asset acquisitions. This functionality is guaranteed by SAP and will be enhanced by the planning of these cost elements in Release 4.0.
    The check, however, that cost elements of category 90 can only be created for asset reconciliation accounts, has only been made since Release 3.0F. Before, it was possible to create any balance sheet accounts as cost element of category 90. Since cost elements created this way were not covered by functionality provided by SAP, various errors may occur when you post to these cost elements."
    As you can see SAP does not support cost element type 90.
    However I used them on e few projects and never have any problems.
    Just to give you an example of the reasons they are sometimes needed:
    - you need to record production quantity in CO-PA. You will create cost element type 90 for your inventory account. Every GR from production order will update quantity in CO-PA.
    The question about splitting is quite ineteresting.
    Maybe one of the NewGL experts can help you here.

  • Condition type for fee - no change of moving price or balance sheet account

    Hi, hope you can help me.
    We need a new condition type for a kind of fee which has to be paid to the vendor and used in the purchase order.
    This is a condition type which
    - has to be part of the invoice
    - has to be posted as a kind of accrual
    - must not! change the price of the material or the balance sheet account
    If we use freight conditions the moving price is changed.
    Because it is dependent on the material (and therefore a condition record works great) we can't or better don't want to use a second position in the purchase order.
    Does anybody have a solution for this one?
    PC

    Thanks for the answer!
    This is what I already tried, but it still changes the balance sheet account and the moving average price.
    This is what I customized:
    Condition ZXYZ
      Cond. class   A
      Calculat.type C
      Cond.category B
      Item condition yes, delelte, amount/percent and Qte relation yes
      Scale base C
      Accruals yes
    In the Calculation Schema it's defined just before the Actual Price, with Statistical-checkbox marked and Account key ZE1, Account key - accruals / provisions ZE2.
    Do you have any idea what I have to change or what else to try?
    Thanks a lot!

  • Condition type for Amortisation cost

    Dear friends,
    I hve created condition type for amortisation cost in pricing.
    It is adding the value for the gross price+ amortisation cost and flowing it to calculation of excise Duty in BASB.
    For ex.
    P001 - 1000
    ZDIE - 100
    so BASB - 1100
    Excise Duties are calculated on 1100...That is also OK
    But when the calculation of CST- As per system it is calculated on 1100 (BASB)....
    And here client requirment is to calculate on P001(Gross Price).
    Again calculation of
    A/P Price + ED + VAT it is taking A/P Price as 1100.
    Our requirement is to take it P001 as 1000.
    How to take amortization cost to be considered only for the calculation of excise duties and rest calculation in tax procedure being considered on Gross Price.......
    Plz. suggest
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi,
    Goto the T.Code "V/06".Create one new "Z" condition type.
    Maintain the Condition Class as "D(Taxes)".
    Calculation type as "A(percentage)".
    Cond. Category as "D(Tax)".
    Select the tick mark for "Group Condition" if it is applicable for you.
    In the next step assign this condition type to your pricing procedure by using the T.Code "V/08".
    Also maintain access sequence by using the T.Code "V/07" and assign it to your Condition type.
    Now this condition type will appeared in your sales order after maintain teh condition records.

  • Settings for costing data in order types for plant maintenance

    i want to know the purpose of settings for costing data in order types for plant maintenance. do we need to do it for sure i mean are those settings mandatory to analyze the costs on work order

    Yes you need to maintain those settings, as the plant maintenance orders are also considered as cost objects and in order for you to post any cost, you need to have a cost object.  Unless you maintain these settings, the cost you posted cannot be settled to a cost center.
    Assign points as a way to say thanks.

  • Problem with multiple condition type for VAT &CST

    Hi,Gurus,
    pl. suggest  the procedure for the following problem.we configured  seperate  pricing procedures for our product material and scrap material.We have configured same condition types for VAT(ie.condition type:ZVAT) and CST(cond type:ZCST), in both pricing procedures. Now We want to maintain  seperate condition types for VAT and CST for pricing procedure for Product material and Scrap material. I have created two new condition types for scrap sales ZSCT- cst for scrap and ZSVT-vat for scrap by copying the same from existing conditions ZCST & ZVAT, and the same is included in the scrap pricing procedure. And also maintained OB40,OBCN,OVK1,OVK3,OVK4, FTXP,FV11 and VK11.
    now I am facing the following problems.
    1. while creating the Material master & customer master, in tax category sub screen all conditions i.e. conditions defined for  product material( ZCST,ZVAT) and defined for scrap material (ZSCT, ZSVT) displaying and these are compulsory fields.
    2. While creating the sale order for scrap material, system is considering the TAX classes from ZVAT/ ZCST (defined for product material) and taking the condition value from the condition type ZSVT/ ZSCT with the TAX class values of  ZVAT/ZCST.
    Now I would like to know is there any procedure  to assign the Material type and Customer  Account group to Tax category.
    Thanks & Regards
    sam

    Hello Sam,
    The Access Sequence Assigned to your New Condition types ie, ZSCT and ZSVT are same as the Previous Condition type ZVAT and ZCST.
    After Adding new condition type in the Tax category in the Masters you have to take care of the Sequence of the Condition type.
    If ZSCT and ZSVT is on the 3rd and 4th number in the masters the Condition table you are using in the access sequence should have fields  Taxclassification3-Customer and taxclassification3- material. For ZSCT
    Likewise Taxclassification4-Customer and taxclassification4- material. For ZSVT
    Please add New Condition table in the access sequence with the required Field
    And next when you are maintaining the condition record for say ZSCT you will have to maintain condition record for the condition table which has Taxclassification3-Customer and taxclassification3.
    In Document the values will be flown correctly after changing this.
    Hope I have Solved your Query.
    If any Doubt please revert.

  • Condition types for Insurance and Duties - Export sales

    Hi Friends,
    Please let me know the condition types i can make use of for capturing the Insurance and duties paid during export salesand also the condition type for capturing the commission.
    Thanks
    Ivy

    Dear ivy
    You can create zee condition types on your own and maintain the required datas.  I am just give you one example for insurance.
    Go to V/06, copy some standard discount condition type and rename it as ZEIN and maintain the following:-
    Cond. class:::::::::::::::: A
    Calculat.type::::::::::::::: A
    Cond.category::::::::::::::C
    Rounding rule::::::::::::::::Commercial
    Plus/minus::::::::::::::::::::blank
    Manual entries:::::::::::::::D
    Amount/percent::::::::::::::X
    Value::::::::::::::::::::::::::::X
    In V/07, you can maintain the following tables
    033:::::::::Incoterms
    307::::::::Customer with Release Status
    So in VK11, either you can maintain the insurance percentage for Incoterm or Customer, so that whenever you generate sales order with multiple line items, this condition will automatically bifurcate the insurance percentage.  Also the most important is that in your pricing procedure, against this condition type, you have to assign EIN as Account Key.
    thanks

  • Wrong calculation for condition type for misc. provision in service PO

    Hi Gurus,
    In service PO line item, we have maintained customised condition type for misc provision. this is % based on net price. It has been assigned account key and accrual key. It's manual. Logically, it should calculate the value based on the total of the net values of all service lines and post a single entry for all concerned service lines. What system is actually doing, it calculates the value correctly for total of net values of service lines in that PO line item but post it to the account as many number of times as the number of service lines in that line item.
    This is when service based IV is active for the PO line item. If I deactivate this, then it post the account once only which is ok.
    Please explain this behaviour. Also, I want to activate service based IV, what should I do to this condition type. Is there any condtion base formula or condtion value formual to be assigned in the pricing procedure?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sudhir Dahake

    Hi,
    Check if some user exit/ routine is written for the condition type.
    Check user exit RV60AFZZ, RV60AFZA, RV60AFZB,RV60AFZC for some code.
    If it is a manual condition check COPY CONTROLS or if it is automatic check condition records from which it is calculated based on qty, price, material type, etc.

  • Shipment cost transfer to condition types of PO

    HI! I saw this note 427944 which states the rules to transferring the shipment costs into the condition types of the PO:
    The shipment cost value (without tax amounts) is cumulated for all relevant shipment cost documents for each service agent and transferred to a corresponding condition type of the purchase order item. Before cumulation, the amounts are first converted into the purchase order currency.
    1. A transfer of the values for each condition type (similar to the transfer from a shipment cost document to the SD billing document) is not supported.
    2. If different service agents exist in the shipment cost documents, a corresponding number of condition lines (with value 0) must be specified in the purchase order item. These can always belong to the same condition type (in schema 'Manual') or also to different condition types (not 'Manual'):
    a) Manual condition lines: If the condition type in the schema of the purchase order is marked is 'manual', the condition type must be created (with value 0) in the purchase order item before the goods
    receipt. If delivery costs are expected from different service agents, several non-valuated entries must be generated for this condition type. If more condition lines exist than required, these are then no longer taken into account. If condition lines are missing, the last service agents are not settled.
    - Advantage: You only have to define one condition type for the delivery costs.
    - Disadvantage: Each purchase order must be processed manually before the goods receipt.
    b) Automatic condition lines: If the condition lines are to be generated automatically for the delivery costs (the condition type is not flagged as 'Manual' in the schema), the schema must have
    enough condition types to settle several service agents. If more condition lines exist than required, these are then no longer taken into account. If condition lines are missing, the last service
    agents are not settled.
    - Advantage: The goods receipt can be carried out without manual preparation beforehand in the purchase order.
    - Disadvantage: You must define identical condition types with different names.
    I can understand point a about the manual condition lines and have tried it out myself.
    But I don't quite understand point b about the automatic condition lines and so I need some clarification here.
    1. Does that mean I do not need to maintain the condition type in the PO?
    2. Does that mean the system will automatically find a condition to put the shipment cost for each service agent?
    3. How does the system know which condition to take then?
    4. I tested with the 'manual' field not flagged in the PO schema but no shipment cost is transferred. Is it because of the existence of other normal condition types that are also not manual?
    Appreciate any help to this.
    Thanks!

  • Purhcase Order Condition Type: GL Account

    Dear People !!!
    Firstly, let me say a big THANK YoU to all, who have been constantly lending support by answering my threads!
    I have a question here: -
    We have created a new condition type for Purchase Order but when we receive the PO, these freight charges are charged to a GL account which we do not want.
    Thus we would like to change the GL account. Where is the config for changing this G/L account.
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi,
    If you don't want to assign the GL account to that condition type then don't define any accounting key over there or make the condition stastical But if you want to make posting in sone other GL then go to OBYC and change the GL account for the transaction key.

  • List of sales condition types for a material

    Hi,
    I have a material and maintained pricing and discount condition types for that material. I guess VK33 helps to view what condition types maintained for that material.
    However when I tried VK33 and selected the material from the conditions from the node on the left hand side and entered the sales org, dist. channel and material and executed after I clicked on the display icon on the condition type, Sales org, Dchl material no conditions are displayed.
    Please let me know how I can view the list of sales condition maintained for a specific material.
    Thanks.

    Hi Giri,
    Thanks for the response.
    In VK13 I should enter the condition type then I can hit condition information so that the details of all records maintained for a specific condition type will only be displayed but not for other condition types.
    In V/LD, I am getting the list only for individual prices. If I insert 17 u2013 Discounts and surcharges by customer or 18 u2013 Discounts and surcharges by material, I am unable to get the list. Is it anything because of the u2018release statusu2019?  We had not checked the u2018release statusu2019 field for the tables assigned to access sequence for the condition types.
    As per the requirement business wants to view the list of u201CDiscounts and surcharges by customer/materialu201D. I think this is possible if I run the report provided by inserting values 17 or 18 but the unable to view the list. Any config settings required to activate?
    Please let me know how to view the list of condition types.
    Thanks

  • New Condition type for pricing

    Hi,
    I have a requirement wherein I want to create new condition type for add on cost of material with manaual entry . this condition is to be given in inforecord.
    How to proceed? also, this contion type to be inserted in pricing schema??

    Dear Smitha,
    You may ask what is the condition type?
    For example:
    - discounts, surcharges or tax taxes add to net price
    - delivery costs, cash discounts add to effective price
    Discounts or surcharges may be percentage based, quantity dependent, or absolute.
