ATP Rules

Have an assembly in a unique org call WO1. Replenishment occurs via Min/Max planning and it is internally sourced from org A.
Is it possible to have an ATP rule that will check on hand only in WO1? Documentation that has been found on MetaLink suggests that
1. Find a ship from location (using Sourcing Rules) for the item if the ship
from location is not already defaulted on the line.
2. Check the availability of the item from that warehouse. If available,
return that warehouse. If not, find another warehouse using the Sourcing
Rules. Continue this until you find a warehouse or till no more sourcing
rules exists
3. If the item is not available on the request date, or within the acceptable
range, the system will error out and display a message to indicate that the
date could not be met.
Thanks in advance

  • SSD based on ATP rule is not coming correctly

    HI,
We have issue with one of the item for which Sheduled ship date based on ATP is going out of planning horizon, eventhough we have supplies available for it.
    Issue in details:
    1. We are creating manual IR and ISO for that item, by giving need by date say 3-Jan-15, but the ISO is having the SSD outside the planning horizon.
    2. Checked for the available supply in ASCP planner workbench for the Org where ISO is getting booked and it is having enough supplies in the form of onhand, intransit shipments, planned orders. Checked for the onhand and it is pegged to Forecast demands and it is available to reserve and transact.
    3. Checked for the item attribute for this part no, it has check ATP value as 'Material Only'
    4. No ATP rule is defined in the item attribute for this item, also ATP component is having value as  'None'
    5. Checked for the MRP item attributes and it is End assembly/soft pegging
    6. Checked for the BOM and it has only single component in its BOM with the ATP flag unchecked for that component item in BOM and also at Org attribute level the ATP value is 'none' for component.
I am not able to figure out the reason why the SSD is going out of planning horizon eventhough there is enough supplies aviable in the ATP enabled ASCP plan.
Could you please help me for more checkpoints?
    Thanks,
    Avinash

    HI Abhishek,
Thanks for the feedback, we have ATP results based on planning output. (Profile: INV:Capable to Promise=ATP/CTP Based on Planning output at site level)
We can see many exception messages generated for this item in ATP enabled ASCP plan:
    1. Late supply pegged to Forecast
    2. Orders with compression days
    3. Past due Orders
    4. Orders to be rescheduled in
    5. Sourcing split percentage violated
Please check below screenshot for the same:
    Also,
this plan has demand scheduled attached as Forecast sets
    Thanks,

  • ATP Rule for Planned Orders

    Hi Experts,
I have configured the ATP rule for Planned Orders. So I only want to check the component stock and Production Orders when running ATP check for the Parent Material.
In OPJJ, I only selected the following options.
    Include Safety Stock : Ticked
    Check without RLT : Ticked
Incl.production orders : X (Take all production Orders into account)
No other options or boxes have been selected
Also I have included the relevant Checking group in MRP 3 for the Parent Material (Checking Rule has been assigned to that Checking Group in Config) and also maintain the Plant Parameters for MRP (assign the checking rule to the plant)
    So, For an example :
    Parent : A
    Components : B and C
Parent Material A has only 5 Planned Orders starting on same day 20.05.2014 each qty 5
    Components B got stock 300
    Components C got stock 1
When I ran ATP Check for the Parent material A using COHV, qty 1 has been allocated to all the planned orders as committed. Why is this happening ?
I also checked in CO09 for the Component Material C, and it says ATP Qty is only 1. I expected the system would allocate that stock 1 to one of the Orders but it seems to be not working as I expect.
Any explanations will be much appreciated and will not hesitate to avoid the points.
    Kind regards,
    Ishara

    Hi DB49,
Appreciate your reply. Please see the following comments.
Right now I have been assuming that you have performed an availability check manually for one of the planned orders, and you got the same results (overconfirmation).  Please confirm.
Yeah I have performed for one order and it gave me the same result.  Also, when I perform for the 2nd Order, it allocates the quantity.
OK, basic things you should already have checked:
You have maintained the checking rule for planned orders (OPPQ or OPPR)
You have maintained the ATP group for the materials (OVZ2)
You have assigned the ATP group to the Material Master of the components (MM02)
You have maintained the scope of check according to the rules you mentioned earlier (OPPJ).
You have no planning strategy in the component material that would have invoked a special ATP.
I checked everything apart from point 2 (OVZ2). I have maintained that via MRP Group and that MRP Group has been linked to Master Data (MRP 3)
Really appreciate your support in this.
    Kind regards,
    Ishara

  • APO Rule based ATP for RA Repair

    Hey,
Could you please help me to turn on rule based ATP for document type RA outbound?
    The senario is as follows:
Customer returns to my company the product.
My company has multiple locations (plants) for replacement products. I would like to determine the replacement product location with rule-based ATP. We use rule-based ATP for the sales site w/o issues.
    I set up in configuration:
ZRA (copy of RA) with business transaction RMA(to trigger the rule based ATP)
Assigned ZRA / Item usage = R104/ PSTYV= ZXNN (item category allows rule based ATP).
    ZRA     ZNO1     R104     IRRA     ZXNN
I also did the below rules based ATP item catgegory determination:
    AUART        MTPOS         VWPOS        UEPST         PSTYV
    ZRA     ZNO1     APO0     ZTP1     ZXNN
    ZRA     ZNO1     APO1          ZTP1
    ZRA     ZNO1     APO1     ZXNN     ZTP1
    ZRA     ZNO1     APO2     ZTP1     ZXNN
When I create with VA01 a ZRA order and add a replacement plant then I get this message:
The ATP rules are not called up for item 000030 - Message no. /SAPAPO/ATP147
But when I go from the "APO Availability Check" view to the Rule then I see my rules determined.
The detail message also says that the system "things" the line was already delivered, which is not the case.
Could you please tell me if it is possible to combine rule-based ATP with the RA replacement process and if yes how to do it?
    Thanks,
    Sabine

  • ATP FUNCTIONALITY NOT WORKING CORRECTLY FOR ATO Model

    Guru's,
Currently I am facing issue in ATP Inquiry to arrive at schedule ship date, we have set up an ATO Model and its low-level parts for multi level ATP, including ATP rules, item attributes, bom attributes, and lead times and ATP check is based on planned output and enabled 24X7 plan.
When try to perform ATP inquiry either from ASCP/OM responsibility, Instead of showing complete drill down of material constraint at the part level, it "stops" at the model level and shows no availability until the inifinte supply timefence, then unlimited availability after that.
I was earlier able to view the complete ATP pegging details with ATP dates well within ITF, but however when we re run the plan to include additional SO the above behavior is observed.
Can some one help me to reslove the issue, as I am not sure what exactly which is triggering this behavior.
    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply, but this note was not addressing the above stated issue. In this note for matched configuration, they are not able to view pegging else they are able to perform multilevel atp check.
Can anyone help me to reslove this issue.
    Thanks

  • Infinite Supply and ATP calculations

    Hi,
We are using an Unconstrained plan which is ATP enabled. We have setup ATP rule where the Infinite Supply option is set as Cum Total Lead time. Now, we have Purchase Orders that are placed both within and beyond the Cum Total Lead Time. For example, let's say the Cum total LT is 30 days and we have 2 POs, one on the 15th day and the other on the 40th day. When we do our ATP, we are able to see the PO which is on the 15th day but the PO on the 40th day is not seen by ATP since it assumes that since our infinite supply option is 30 days, we can meet any order within 30 days and the system gives an ATP date of 30 days. The requirement here is for ATP to ignore the Infinite Supply option if there is a PO or Intransit available beyond the Cum Total LT and consider that for ATP calculations. So, in the example above, ATP should return a date of 40 days from now.
I have tried using both the options ATP/CTP Based on Planning Output and ATP/CTP Based on Collected data for the profile option INV:Capable to Promise, but it still ignores the POs beyond the Cum Total LT. Please help with your ideas if ATP can be made to look beyond the infinite supply option in the ATP rule.
    Regards,
    Abhijit

    Hi Devesh,
    Thanks for your input.
The only problem in having the highest lead time for buy items as the Infinite Supply is that if there's no On-hand, PO or In-transit available for a Demand, ATP will return a date of the highest lead time for all items that is assigned with that ATP rule in that Org. We have our lead times ranging from 10 days to 120 days. If we set the ITF as 120 days (user defined) and enter a sales order for the item which has a total LT of 10 days, ATP will give a date of 120 days if no supply is available. This will not be acceptable as we will be communicating 120 days to the customer whereas actually we can get that item from our supplier in 10 days.
Please correct me if my example is incorrect. Also suggest if we can bypass the scenario above with any other setup.
    Regards,
    Abhijit

  • ATP based on planning output

    Hello,
Appreciate if you could help me to understand how ATP based on planning output works in following scenario.
ATP-enabled plan is an ECC plan with supplier capacity constraints. The ATP plan has both forecast and sales order demand. When ATP plan runs, supply planned orders will be generated based on supplier capacity constraints.
If a new sales order is scheduled, will ATP suggest a promise date by
    1) considering the supply planned orders generated for the unconsumed forecast
    OR
    2) generating a new supply planned order for the new sales order
If (2) is used, will the sales order be scheduled out to a later date if the supplier capacity has already been taken up by the planned orders generated for the forecast demand?
    Cheers!

ATP will suggest a Schedule Ship Date / Schedule Arrival Date (based on scheduling setup in Order Management) considering the supply planned orders generated for the unconsumed forecast.
If all the planned ordres are already allocated to other newly scheduled sales orders (i.e. entered in the system after last plan run), then for the newest sales order which you are trying to schedule, ATP calculation will be done to check the earliest availability using the ATP Rule defined for your item in the Org where you want to schedule the sales order. If no ATP rule is assigned to the item, then default ATP rule from Org Parameters is used. When you accept the new suggested date for scheduling the sales order, the sales order starts appearing in the ATP plan (in pink color text) but no new planned order is created. New planned order creation will happen only when you run the data collection and plan again. Similarly, consumption of unconsumed forecast will also happen during this new plan run.
In the above scenario, if you have a multi level BOM for the sales order item with
    -  the child items ASCP planned and ATP enabled and
    -  resources in the routings of BOM items at different BOM levels CTP enabled
then ATP will explode thru' the supply chain bill, check availability of each child item and resources required for those and accordingly return an availability date.
Newest sales order will be scheduled out to a later date if
    -  the supplier capacity has already been taken up by the planned orders generated for the forecast demand and
    -  such planned orders are fully allocated for new sales orders scheduled after the last plan run but before your newest order

  • ATP Globla report

    Hi buddies:
Please help me about a tcode or standar report, where I can get a complete view for masive materials in order to ATP quantities.
I need be able to consult the "stock" but considerering the ATP rules, I've already the setting, but i need a report like a MB52 or something like that.
Thank you very much in advance
    OP

    Omar,
If "complete view for masive materials in order" refers to production order then SAP ECC/ R/3 has standard Tcode : COMAC. This will enable you to do the collective availbility check for plant or for certain group of desired orders or a single order.
This avail check in the production order would look at the ATP rules set ( ex. look for stock, incomming pur orders, incomming production orders etc...).
One can then go to T code : CO24 to get shortage materials at plant or order level.
In my answer I am assuming by orders you mean production orders. If yes then above 2 tcodes is what you would need.
If you have more questions please come back.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • ATP Inquiry in OM

I don;t have the APS modules installed, Can I still perform the ATP inquiry in 11i instance? Is the functionality the same as the one in the previous version.
Can I use the ATP rules to do inquiry at the Order Header level

Is there anything stuck in your Inventory transaction interface? (I assume you've checked this when you say you've looked at pending transactions).
Did the ITS for the shipped order(s) complete? Have you checked for any unprocessed stops in the ITS submission?
Are there any obvious anomalies for the item(s) concerned when you do an Inventory Supply/Demand query which might explain 'hidden' demand?
Do you have any uncancelled and unprocessed pick release allocations for the item(s) concerned (check the Release Sales Order form)?

  • ATP Not Applicable.

I am getting following message while doing an ATP enquiry.
I have set-up ATP Rules and enabled items for ATP check.
What are the other set-ups required to remove this message ?

Check out the log for your Pick Release List Generation. Also check to see if a picklist was generated and if it has data. View/Requests - Find all requests.
How did you release the order - Did you use the OM SuperUser/Shipping/Release Sales Order? If so, did you specify a pick release rule that picks from the place where you have the inventory? Did you the Shipping/Transactions form? That uses the default pick release rule you have in your org setup.
Ready to Release means it has not been release yet. It should either backorder or stage if the picking actually happens.

    Hello,
From what I understand for the BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILIBILITY bapi is that it will give us information on inventory avail. per materail (information only), I'm looking for a bapi that will actually go through existing orders and force (commit) the reservations (update dates) to all existing orders based on all ATP rules.

  • OM 11i ATP Checking

I have questions regarding ATP checking in Order Management R11i. I have defined an item with Check ATP = Material only. The ATP Rule attached to this item has Infinite Supply = 15 days. There is no Supply or Demand for this item at this point.
When I perform Scheduling from the Sales Order form Availability Button, it indicates that the ordered qty is available even though there is no Supply.
However, when I perform an ATP Inquiry from the Inventory form - I do receive an ATP date which is 15 days into the future.
Does anyone have similar experiences with OM Scheduling functionality.
    Thanks for your help.
    Mike Kudo

    1. Make sure you have run the ATP Data Collection as a complete refresh since creating or assigning or updating any ATP Rules.
    2. Check the following defaulting rules:-
-Order Line, Schedule Ship Date = Related Record, Ship Set
    - Order Header, Latest Acceptable Date = Constant Value, 500 (use whatever value you like but at least this will cover most cases). Null behaves as zero days and means that no schedule date is good enough.
    - Run the 'Defaulting Generator' from OM (Run Requests) after updating these rules.
    3. For the ATPable items, make sure that the ATP Components item attribute is set to 'No'. The system can get confused if this is wrong & give such unpredictable results.
    4. Try the following system profile option setting:-
INV: Capable to Promise = Enable PL/SQL based ATP without Planning Output
    5. What is the value of the OM: AutoSchedule profile option ... YES or NO ? From what you have described, I assume you are manually scheduling so this would be set to 'NO'.
This is based on having very recently set up a heavily patched 11.5.3 (more like 11.5.4) instance.
