  • Cancellation Internal Credit memo is not posted into Accounting

    Hello All,
We have a requirement where the cancellation internal credit memo is not posted into accounting. It is a inter company sales return process. After return delivery, client created the internal credit memo. But due to some problem they cancelled the internal credit memo. But now system is not posted the cancellation internal credit memo into accounting. I did my analysis and found that client is using same number range for internal credit memo and accounting document. When internal credit memo is created system is assign the same number range to accounting document because of external number range field is ticked in Fbn1 .But due to wrong number assignment in internal credit memo. So when they cancel the internal credit memo, this internal credit memo number range is coming within the accounting document number range. But client is insisting that anyhow the cancel inter credit memo should be posted to accounting.
I have tried a lot. but i could not reach out to any solution. Kindly help me on proving me a solution on this.
    Regards
    Soumendu

    Dear Soumendu:
I had received this warning when the invoice was cleared. If you revert this process is possible to post the cancellation into accounting.
Please check the status of the invoice.

  • Invoicing: monitor Credit Memo and Invoicing posts

    Hello,
Looking for an Invoice Management System expert. I would like to know the following two things.
    1. On posting an 'incomming invoice' (with reference to a PO) in SRM this Invoice will be replicated to the R/3 back-end system. The back-end will and should use this invoice to follow-up the financial administrative process, how do they go about on this. The purchase order and Invoice will be posted to f.e. G/L 'Sources, with tax 19%'. What transaction do financial administrators use to book/post bank/liquid asset changes against these invoices?
    2. Up on creating a credit memo, for example for 1 of the 2 line items that wern't delivered but where initially invoiced, do we need to create a Credit Memo in SRM with negative amounts or does the Credit Memo with positive amounts suffice (it will always be used as credit, positive doesn't mean it's debit)?
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hello,
    Subsequent Debit and Credits
After an Invoice is successfully posted and the transaction is completed, Vendor approaches with additional amount invoice or correction in Invoice. You would like to post this additional invoice with reference to the original PO and item. Subsequent Debit / Credit functionality allows you to capture this difference without canceling original invoice.

  • Credit memo on billing posted to accounting

    Hi...
If I wanted created a credit memo on billing that already posted to accounting, do I need to cancel the billing first? This billing posted to acct on the previous closed fiscal year.
    Tq
    Henery

    Hi Henery
It is not required to cancel the Biling document even if it is done in the previous period.
But, you have to see whether your organisation follows Release procedure(approval step) or not.
If your organisation does not follow release procedure then you can create the Credit memo directly refering the Billing document.
But if your organisation follows Release procedure then, first you have to create a Credit memo request (Credit memo request can be created with ref to Sales order, Billing doc or even without ant ref).
From this Credit memo request you can create a Credit memo.

  • MIRO - Credit memo posted before invoice

    Hello,
I have a problem with MIRO.
User is able to introduce credit memo to purchase order even if there was no invoice yet.
The strange thing is that when he introduce PO number in MIRO (credit memo) system issue a message __M8080 Reversal quantity greater than quantity invoiced to date__ and that is ok but after user will click on multi account assignment and get the same mesaage "Reverse qty greater than qty credited so far Message no. M8476" but after he close the pop up with account assignemnt and back to main screen there is no message M8080 any more and user is abl;e to post credit memo with negative quantity what finally issue ABAP  error DYNPRO_FIELD_CONVERSION
    Screen name.............. "SAPLMR1M"
    Screen number............ 6310
    Screen field............. "DRSEG-REMNG"
    Error text............... "FX015: Sign lost.".
When I would like to display invoice (credit memo) in MIR4 or from ME23n history.
But the main question is why system clears message M8080 after clik on multi account assignement.?
Thanks in advance for your help.....
Edited by: PG on Sep 2, 2011 10:19 AM

    Hi,
THis is definetly a issue related to SAP Note.
Try this SAP note in dev.
Note 1332137 - MIR6/MIR4: Negative quantity with parked documents
    Summary
    Symptom
You use transaction MIR4 (Display Invoice Document) or MIR6 (Invoice Overview) to post a parked credit memo with reference to a purchase order.
You change the item quantity (MENGE) so that it is greater than the current invoice quantity (REMNG) and, without pressing "Enter", you immediately choose "Post". Even though the system executes the quantity check correctly, and error message M8 080 "Reversal quantity greater than quantity invoiced to date" is displayed in the message log, the system unexpectedly allows this credit memo to be posted.
As a result, when you display or create invoice documents for this purchase order, the ABAP short dump DYNPRO_FIELD_CONVERSION occurs.
    Solution
The Support Packages for Releases 4.70, 5.00, 6.00, 6.02, 6.03 and 6.04 correct this error.
If you require an advance correction: Implement the correction instructions.
Hope this will resolve your query,

  • What is SAP procedure to post credit memo without reference

    Hi,
I was wondering what is the standard SAP solution for posting a credit memo to a customer without referencing the original sales order.
The goal is to not have to create a return sales order or post only a credit memo invoice against the original order. I was wondering if this procedure exists? I just need to be able to post the credit to the customer, no refernce necessary.
Also, Let's say we want to issue a partial credit back to the customer. Is there a way to do this without reference. I would actually like to know what are the best recommended ways for using both with and without reference to the original sales order.
Last item. After the credit is posted. What is the best way to reverse the payment. Should I use txn FB08?
    Thanks for your help,
    Best, Erik

Thanks G. Do you happen to know how to reverse out the payment with or without reference to the original order?
For instance. I want to reverse multiple payments out together by grouping the a total. So basically i will group the total credit memo balance and post in FB70..Then i need to group the total payment balance and post. Is there a procedure for the payment portion.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Automatic Credit Memo

    Hi Experts,
we have a problem, standard process of vendor rejection is return delivery (122 or 161) then credit memo. But our company wants to post credit memo first (automatically) as soon as QA person reject the mateiral thru Usage decision, finance entry vendor dr, gr/ir account cr, and when we post 122/161 system will create inventory account cr and gr/ir account dr.
    How can I achive this.
    Please suggest.
    Ishu

    Hi Ishu,
This is not standard SAP. Standard SAP is that invoices and credit memos come from the vendor (unless you have a self-billing agreement with the vendor, in which case the invoices/credit memos are based on the GR's and returns).
If you want this kind of automation, you need to program. I don't know if you want the usage decision or the quality notification to trigger the credit memo, but both can be configured to have follow-on functions that e.g. call BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE or create the IDoc INVOIC and call the ALE service to process it.
If I remember right, there's an enhanced returns processing in BS7 where you can generate credit memo before the retun movement, but I don't think it is triggered by a QM transaction. I think it is some kind of new transaction for handling of returns in BS7.

  • Freight on credit memo for returns PO

We are trying to achieve the below solution for a returns PO, created 2 condition types, assigned to the pricing procedure to achieve the GR posting. When we use MRRL to create a credit memo for both the material and the freight. the system creates a credit memo for the material and an invoice for the freight. Can someone tell me, what drives the credit memo generation for both freight and material
    GR
    Cr INV
    Dr GRIR
    Dr Freight clrg
    Cr Freight
    Credit Memo/ERS settlement/ MRRL
    Dr Vendor
    Cr GRIR
    Cr Freight Clrg
We were able to create the GR side of the entry, using two other condition types on the PO.
Now when we do ERS settlement,
the system creates a credit memo for the INV line item and an invoice for the freight line item.
Both the freight and the material is charged to the PO vendor, we dont charge separate to the freight vendor at this point.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Ganesh,
    Thx for the reply!!
We did that before as well, Even as we select it, it creates 2 documents
    1. credit memo for the inventory to the vendor
    2. invoice for the freight to the same vendor
I guess i am missing some config piece that makes the freight on the PO to be also a credit memo while doing the MRRL
    i am using 2 condition types FRA1 and a ZFR1 (mimicking FRA1 with a negative sign)
i have assigned 2 diff (ActKey/Accrual Key) combination to each one of them
    FRE/FR1 and FRE/ZR1(Mimicking FR1) respectively.
I am not sure which config drives the freight as a credit memo on the MRRL side.

    Hi,
user entered 4 credit memos as
highlighted in yellow for a total of $798.00.  The amount that I have
circled $499.79 is what ERS deducted leaving a difference of $296.97.
For me yellow color values are qty not amount? Am I right?

  • Cancel Duplicate MIRA(Credit Memo)

    Dear All
    We are following LIV process.
    My case is as follows:
I have done 101Movement type for GR,done MIRA and then MIR6 to post Incoming Invoice.
Later ,rejected few quantity through line rejection by doing 122 Movement type(GR created). Then again raised Credit Memo which got held up due to some system error(Please note that accounting document is not created here). Then instead of posting this Credit Memo, raised new Credit Memo which got posted corrected and accounting impact is taken care off.
My problem is to cancel  the earlier Credit Memo as Accounting effect is not taken care in this one and it is a mere duplication .
    Please advise.
    Thanks In Advance
    Payal Saxena

    Hi Payal,
If you have only parked than you can delet the park document and post credit memo than you have reverse the document in MIR7

  • Credit Memo - Terms of Payment Default

My earlier post received no response, so I am posting again,
In MIRO if I create a credit Memo, payment terms default from PO. (not from vendor master) I do not know if was configured that way. How can I find out ?
I do not want payment terms to default from any thing, neither PO nor vendor master.
It should fall due immediately say based on base line date, which is posting date in our case.
How can I do this ?
    Thanks

  • Error during Cancelation Credit memo document in trasaction MR8M

    Hi experts,
I have a problem in the transaction MR8M during cancelation credit memo document. The error message no. F5808 occured: The value for field "Part. Bank" in the interface to Financial Accounting is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field selection for G/L account "160000" in company code "XXXX" linked to the field selection for posting key "31".
I checked the field status group for the G/L account 160000, but there is no mandatory field for "Part. Bank". In the posting key 31 is mandatory field "Part. Bank", but problem is, that for the posting key 21 - Credit memo should system use the Reversal posting key 32, which is adjusted in the transaction OB41. I don´t know why the system want to use posting key 31 by reversing credit memo intead of posting key 32, which is in customizing.
Moreover, I tried to post simple document in FI module with posting key 21 and by reversing this document system used the correct posting key 32, where the field "Part. Bank" is suppress field.
    Do you have any ideas?
    Thanks a lot
    Miroslav

we just had the same error message F5808 giving the same wrong posting key 31 for credit note cancellation instead of 32.
We solved the issue like this:
-access the follow-on document in accounting by FB02
-complete the field which is said to be mandatory as per the error message
The change in the FI document is of course not transferred back to the original LIV document but after having "completed" the follow-on document we were able to cancel the LIV document with MR8M without the error message we had before.
I'll keep Pablos breakpoint (thanks!) in mind if this happens again with a field that cannot be accessed in FB02.

  • Credit memo and subsequent GL account

    Dear All,
I would like to clarify 3 point below.
when i do credit memo on full quantity, the double entry is hitting vendor and GRC account.
when i do credit memo on part quantity, the double entry hitting vendor GRC and stock account also.
when i do subsequent debit or credit, double entry hitting vendor and stock account.
    1) May I know why credit memo, full quantity only hit GRC whereas part quantity hit GRC and stock?
    2) May i know why subsequent debit/credit hitting stock account only?
    3) credit memo must have to create return PO? without return PO can?
    Thanks

    Hi
credit memos and subsequent credits can be used to adjust the amount due to the vendor.
we usually receive a credit memo from a vendor if you where overcharged.
as in case of invoice .creit memo refer to purchase orders or good receipt
when you post credit memo, the total invoice quantity in the po history is reduced by the credit memo quantity.the maximum quantity you can make a credit for is the quanitty that has alredy ben invoiced.
During Credit Memo, It is making same accounting entires as it makes during Invoice posting
