The RDC has been deprecated since version 9 I believe and nothing new is being done with it, that includes samples and such.
It will not exist at all in the next release of the product.
These are the only samples that are available:
ASP:

VB6 COM.
There is a VBA sample on the following list of samples I believe:

  • Never had such bad support - Think(g)s have changed since IBM

I just wanted to point out that lenovo has one of the worst support i ever had with businnes products.
I was always a thinkpad buyer and spend a lot of money to ibm. OS updates went well and the hardware compatibility was good. I always used the support and they fixed my problems, maybe not very quick, but they did.
    Now lenovo is on start:
My fist os update with lenovo was vista to win7. After this update my ricoh card reader does not work. I tried the forum support and withdrawn it after i got working solution here. The telephone support does not helped me. Nothing worked and does still not work now.
My next support reason was a forgotten BIOS supervisor password. The phone support offered me to replace the mainboard while everyone knows that is not needed. Luckily i found my password after more than one year.
You may say its courious to aks for support with such things.
The last and the worse happened some day ago. My hdd is old and slow so i wanted to replace it with a ssd drive. I searched for "lenovo thinkpad t61p" and "ssd upgrade" and found a crucial ssd drive which is offered as Lenovo upgrade. After i installed it i got an error bios error 2100. No problem i thought and updated the bios and the firmware from the drive because i have seen ssd updates in the bios changes text. After it was still not working i contacted this forum. Weeks later i had no answers which could help so i called the business support. First the guy on the telephone told me my thinkpad is not for ssds. After i pointed him to the bios upgrade which contain ssd upgrades he told me that there will be no non lenovo support for ssd drives and i have to buy a lenovo ssd. He doesn want to know the model number of the drive so this bug could be fixed at any time.
This is the most bad support i ever had. I wouldnt be angry if my notebook would cost 500€ or 1000€. But for a product which costs nearly 3000€ and still has warranty i expected more commitment also for non lenovo products. Even cheap notebooks from asus/msi offer such incompatibilty service. Does lenovo want to ruin themself while scaring the user away with their service?
For my part i am done with lenovo and switching to DELL or HP after six IBM/Lenovo notebooks

If any decision higher ranked decider reads this. Here is the link for the upgrade: http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=ThinkPad%20T61p%20Series&pt=SSD The model number is: (CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1). Contact Crucial so that site will removed in the future.

  • CS3 Licensing Agreement problem and Bad support

I purchased the CS3 Web Premium and have used to create web pages for my business. This product has stopped working 4 times! "Licensing has stopped working". #1 The first call to the support was bad, after being directed to the adobe website and given minimal instructions, the person hung up. I eventually unistalled and reinstalled it. #2 same error 2 months later, same bad support, spent over an hour on the phone without resolution. Did the install again. #3 the person was helpful and we worked through the adobe site, downloaded a fix. #4 which was 2 days later and right now CS3 is down again. I have spoken to Rose, she tried to help and emailed me info, hung-up. Sean gave me the same info and when I told him that I did it already. He hung up on me. The next person kept asking someone behind her what to do next, she passed me to a supervisor and he emailed me information. I followed that and it STILL DOES NOT WORK. I called back again and spoke to another helper, she was surprised that it did not work yet, gave me the website and hung up on me. "Licensing has stopped working" My online business needs updating and this software does not work! I have asked this to be bumped up to a manager. 3 times they said I would get a call back. Nothing yet. Is there any help out there. I plan on posting this information on every blog and website until this is fixed!!!

Welcome to Discussions Jerry - your first problem should be helped by resetting the SMU. Shut down, unplug everything from the computer, remove the power cord. Wait 15 seconds, replace the power cord, then start the computer.
Your second problem could well be faulty RAM, since most memory is sold with a lifetime guarantee, I suggest you return it to the vendor and get a new stick. You can also run Rember, let it loop dozens of times unless it immediately reports a fault, and see what it says.

  • Can the remote assistance provided by Lenovo premium support be abused by a bad support technician?

    Hi,
I am considering purchasing a Lenovo software warranty. I did some homework and I know Lenovo use a 123rescue tool to do remote assistance, which my friend finds very helpful.
Before purchasing it, I want to know how secure is this tool? Can this tool be used by any bad or corrupted technician from Lenovo to secretly install some Trojans or spywares on the computer during the remote access? Because as I understand, the remote access will give a technician ability to operate the computer, although the connect needs user's approval, but what a technician can do after the user approve the connect? I do not know it in details and a little bit curious.
Although Lenovo is a very reputable company, it's still good to make sure that if a user give remote access to a technician, Lenovo do have a way to monitor the whole process and protect the user from any potentially bad support technicians, although I am very sure that it is very very impossible that such bad technician exists inside Lenovo's support team.
    Thank you!

    Hi guys,
Seriously, I know I am paranoid, but could anyone give a response for my stupid concern?

Well, it is not imperative you discuss it there; but it would be a good idea.  I think it is safe to say that Persian is something with which most here have little experience.  Since it is unique to Arch, the bug tracker is your best bet.
In any event, you are welcome to discus it here.  You might also try posting in the Other Languages section of the forums to attract the attention of others using your language.
I see that you included test cases.  That is a terrific idea.  You may find that the developer who supports this may not have a mastery of the Persian language and could well use constructive feedback from a native speaker;  I think you could make a significant contribution in that way.

  • SimpleSave MD1000H - bad support, bad device

Sorry to all reading this, I'm usually quite reserved.
My experience with HP support and this device (SimpleSave md1000h) has been more than frustrating.
I've upgraded to Win 7 64 bit and the device doesn't show up for at least 3 minutes, and when it does, the backup/restore is non-functional.
I can sometimes see the files and folders on the backup partition, but cannot copy, move, run - anything
I've had this device plugged into 7 different machines - OS's ranging from WinXP home, Pro, 7 (32) and 7 (64) - oh yeah, and even Mac OSX (I was desperate)
It has only worked on one machine thus far since - an Asus machine running Win 7 32 bit. Oddly, I have another exact computer - bought the same day - runnign Win 64 bit - SimpleSave doesn't work on it.
I don't know what the issue is with this product - there are many posts and I see no real solution offered by HP
I did call HP support - the response was "Take it back to where you purchased it and they will deal with it"
The retailer will not fix - wil only offer to replace - not so good if you have anything backed up on it.
I'm furious with the lack of effort made by HP in this case, and the "English as a third language" support one gets when calling their support line.
To reiterate - bad pruduct, bad support - bad job all around HP

It's worse than that here. My drive's just failed - at which point I discover that support comes from the USA even though I bought it in here in the UK. I have to pay international to call the states, and just found out that it's only open USA hours. So that's a wasted call to add to the frustration of loosing all the data on it. What's worse is that I have another one of these I haven't even opened the box on yet.
Why is HP selling this overseas if they don't properly support them. You can't use webchat to talk to a technician because you can't verify your warranty because HP's website won't accept SimpleSave's Serial No or Part No as they are the wrong format for HP's own website!
I get the sense that HP bought these drives in from somewhere and is flogging them without any intention of actually supporting them. They certainly don't see them as actually belonging to HP. You can only get the contact number for SimpleSave support by ringing HP (premium line) to be told "we don't support them, ring 0080063666666" - no indication that that's an international call, or that it's only manned during EST working hours.
What's the betting that when I get up at the crack of dawn tomorrow and ring them they'll try and duck out of their warranty?
So seconded - bad support, bad device.

  • Bad support on a worthless phone - N97

This is my story. I was very unhappy with my SonyEricsson X1 and went and bought a Nokia N97 and sold the X1. Boy do I regret that! The first thing that happened with my N97 is that it crashed during the first startup. Since then it has been crashing 5-6 times daily and it also crashes upon ending the call in 1 case out of 3. After a couple of weeks I noticed that the GPS was worthless and also the camera lens has scratches caused by the lens cover.
I decided that I'd wait for the V20 firmware as that would probably solve the bulk of the problems and finally 2 days ago I was able to upgrade. Now the phone works much better but there is still some issues. The GPS is still worthless. On a clear day with no rain or clouds I get about 30-40% green on the coverage meter when driving in my car. My TomTom shows full coverage.
Also, one very disturbing thing, after upgrading to firmware v20 it was not possible to install mail for exchange! It said that MfE did not support my operating system and the install failed. I had to go and buy RoadSync to get my exchange mail up and running! (Now, RoadSync is in my opinion superior to MfE but still I had to pay for something that should be there from the beginning!).
So, yesterday I call Nokia Care and say that my phone needs a repair/replacement. However, I need to borrow a phone during the repair if it can't be done instantly at a local repair shop. I would also accept the phone to be replaced. However, I need to have a phone with me at all times with which I can mail via my exchange server. Nokia refuses to replace it, they refuse to lend me an N97 during the repair. The retailer, Media Markt in Lund, Sweden, refuses to lend me a similar device. They only have basic phones with no email capability to offer. The service centre can't repair GPS in their shop and have to send it to Nokia and that takes about 2 weeks.
I HAVE PAID € 610 FOR THIS PHONE! I didn't pay this much money to have my phone in the repair shop - I paid this much money so that I could have the phone with me.
If Nokia does not solve my problem in a way that means that I constantly have at least 1 N97 in my possession I will sell this phone and never, ever, buy a Nokia phone again. I will also never allow any co-worker in our company to buy a Nokia, and I will tell every one I meet about the bad experience I had.
In addition, I have spent about 10 hours the last month trying to get my phone working as one could expect. How does Nokia intend to compensate me for this? Having to hard reset a so called flagship phone 3 times in 1 month is ridiculous!
    Former owner of E90, N97 x2, E72, N8 and current owner of E7.

Ok, this might sound stupid but since Nokia, their reseller and their local all refuse to lend me a phone I have today bought a new N97 that I will use. Hopefully the GPS will be better on this one and the camera lens won't get scratched. Then I will send my first N97 for repair. Once it is back and working properly I shall sell one of them. Anyone in Sweden interested in buying an N97?

I cannot believe how a 4 Billion dollar company can have such a bad technical support. it is also insulting that I would be offered
to pay for technical support when I'm paying for this service and the software doesn't work and the case has been open for several
days and not one has taken the time to pick up the phone and give me a CALL TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
I was right not to upgrade.
I was wrong to pay for this service. I probably should have never renewed the card after I received a letter stating that Adobe syst
ems had been bridge and my account information had been compromised.
I have to say as an IT consultant for over 11 years, that this is the worst company I have seen for technical support.

Problem persists after reinstalling Creative Cloud.

I hate to tell you, but I am yet one more user who cannot get Adobe Ideas files to sync to Creative Cloud.
I am using Adobe Ideas version 2.8.1 (52469) on an iPad3, using iOS 8.1. I have confirmed that I have a good wi-fi connections. I can access the web using all my other apps - Safari, Twitter, Feedly, etc.
When I try syncing files in Adobe Ideas, the Creative Cloud Files menu has "only sync when wi-fi is enabled" selected. Sync process shows "Awaiting connection." Storage level is 9% or 175MB of 2GB.
I downloaded the Creative Cloud app onto my Surface Pro tablet and checked to see if my Ideas files showed up there. I can see the files from Adobe Draw, Lines, Sketch, and other apps, but the Ideas files do not show up anywhere. I checked in both the mobile creations area and in the main files area.
I would like to migrate my Ideas files to Adobe Draw. Please let me know how I can get this done.
    I appreciate your help!

  • NavTrack Application and bad support provided

    Hello,
I just purshased the NavTrack Application, it does not work on my Blackberry and I tried to contact the vendor company and they are not respond at all, and I am not sure why Blackberry leave us to such bad companies.
Aslo, I tried even to refund my money and website is always down, is it really work in the first place?
Will Blackberry ready to help here???????
Does any one know how I can email Blackberry support?

I started to be rude after I sent three emails with no reply at all, willing to provide all documentations about the emails and continuous remiders and after three emails I received they are not willing to communicate with me, first investegae and fix your mistakes before deciding.
even I sent the prove that there was no reply for three emails still they insist to stop communications, What a professional reply to customer pusshased and paid money for non working applicaiton
Blackberry team can investegate what I am saying and willing to provide proves, money is not the concern here, but for others to know what kind of bad companies you are.

  • Broken PlayBook - Bad Support - Running out of time :( THIS is how you treat your loyal customers?!?

    Hello,
I'm wondering if I can get some real help around here.
I've repeated my story too many times, and I'm just exhausted over trying to get my PlayBook replaced.
    Here's a brief summary;
My PlayBook started to show very strange issues a few months after purchase.  It would all of a sudden shut off even though the battery would have a good charge on it.
After this random shutdown, the PB wouldn't turn on and it took a lot of different tricks to make it power back up.  Once I could get it powered back on, the charging was messed up.  I would charge all day long and as soon as I unplugged it, it would turn off.
Another effect was that my AppWorld could no longer login.  I would be told there was an issue logging in over and over again.
The ONLY fix was to run the "de-brick" through the Desktop Manager.
Once the "de-brick" done, and after setting up my PB all over again it would work.
Sadly, this has happened over a dozen times.
I finally called support up and I spoke with an agent who was in all honesty, useless.  It took over 45 minutes (7 times I was put on hold!) to explain my problem and to finally get an RMA number.  It was the worst phone support I've had since I dealt with View Sonic back in 2005.
The line was full of static, there was a language barrier between myself and the support agent, and the amount of times I was on hold because the agent was incompetent killed me, but I got the RMA.
I specifically inserted a letter explaining all of the issues I have had (the one really but the occasions, how it happened, what I tried to do to resolve it) because I truly believe it needs replaced.
I got the PB back and it was the same one.  Initially it worked fine (they just did a "de-brick" as I'd done many times) but then the problem of shutting off out of nowhere, not turning back on initially, "charging" and AppWorld login problem came back.
I've tried to use "playbooksupport[at]blackberry.com with my original incident number as the subject line....
I get an autoreply saying "thanks for e-mailing, but you can't get support from here, e-mail us at [email protected] with your incident number as the subject.
.... REALLY!  You have e-mail support that automatically dumps back to the customer that they can't get support through the address, so use this same address to contact us.
I tried calling once again, but was waiting 40 minutes before I could get an agent, and once I did their line was such poor audio quality I told them "sorry I can't even hear you I'm hanging up"
Research in Motion.  I've been an avid BB user through 7 models now.  I purchased a PlayBook right when it came out.
WHY won't you replace my broken device, WHY is your support system to screwed up?
I try to believe there's a turn-around happening but my support for you after this experience has gone down quite a bit.
Please, help me REPLACE this device!  I don't know where else to turn as your suggested methods for support are not working at all for me.

  • Sync options - bad support

I have a Pearl 8130.   As a stand alone device it works good.  My complaint is trying to sync it with anything.  RIM's support is garbage if you're using anything but Outlook.
I own a Mac and fought long and hard to work out some of the many kinks with PocketMac.   This software is lacking tons of features and some basic functionality.   I finally reduced my expectations and after a lot of grief am able to sync to Apple Mail and iCal with basic functionality.
Now I know someone who just got a Vista machine and I was expecting the Windows Calendar to be supported.  As far as I could tell from this forum and documentation it is not.   Am I the only one who thinks it's obvious that Windows Contacts and Windows Calendar be supported?   Vista's been out a long time now so development time is no excuse.
My first preference was to use Thunderbird and either Sunbird or Lightning but no big surprise that RIM doesn't support that either.
Well, I'm not going to yell to the world how dumb RIM is being, nor complain about their hidden costs of requiring Outlook on Windows and/or having to put up with pathetic software on OSX.  However once my contract ends I will definiately shop around and assess alternatives to another Blackberry.  If RIM supported Windows Calendar and/or Thunderbird and Sunbird/Lightning, and actually took ownership of PocketMac and put a little effort into it they would have a very nice solution.

Apple iPhone technologies are all about proprietary format (open source or closed source) and all about Apple iTunes
RIM technologies are all about proprietary format (closed source) and all about Windows.
You as a Mac user decided to buy a product mainly designed for the Windows world.
About the Vista thing.. well, I don't have all the details but Windows Mail and Windows Calendar are all but descending compatible. If Microsoft did not develop the way they did, breaking compatibility, it could have worked. It's a pity it is not compatible with the Desktop Manager, but on the other hand I think the main objective is reached for RIM : having a Desktop Manager that works for all devices, on windows 2000 and windows XP and Windows Vista.
It's more important than compatibility with Windows Mail or MacOSX.
Having said that, it's clear that everything works better with Outlook 2003/2007 or Lotus Notes.
For your request, you can do the TBird synchronization thanks to IMAP support of Google Mail, and calendar support of Google Calendar & contacts support of Google Mail.

  • Macbook pro camera not working -- very bad support

I have a macbook pro bought around October 2010. It has 3 years international warranty.
Few months back when I wanted to use skype, I figured out that the camera is not working. Took it to Apple care centre in Bangalore.
They found the camara to be defective. From their notes
" Reset SMC and PRAM. No go. Tried with known good OS. No go. Found camera not detected in system profiler. Checked with known good display. Camera working. Denied coverage as dent on the display clamshell"
Chatted with the relationship officer Joana,
    1. I fail to understand that replacing the camera requires relplacing the whole display
    2. Small scrach (can send the picture to you) on the outer cover of teh display is not the root cause of the camera not working
    3. Display is working perfectly fine. Only camera not working
The relationship officers are such dumb and techically challenged people, that they fail to understand the real issue and instead just try to console you.
If camera is not working due to a defect, it needs to be replaced in warranty, if Apple's design dictates camera replacemnt to the whole display replacement, so be it.
Due to my feedback, some of my colleges (10+ guys) took Macbook pro. Extreamely dis-satisfied with the support cell and their techical abilities. Did not expect this from Apple. Will not take any Apple product and will not recommend anyone. Thinkpad rocks!!

I have been in touch with my ISP and they blame the Modem. Linksys support have been useless.
    Can anyone help?

You can try upgrading/reflashing the router's firmware and reconfigure it...
Download the firmware file from here......save that file on desktop
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...In the Username & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
    Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
