Can some one help me with identifying the BADI for raising a alert when saving a opportunity, and suggest steps to implement that BADI?

Hi Chinnu,
Implement the method 'CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE' of BADI 'ORDER_SAVE'.
Transaciton: SE18, enter ORDER_SAVE in the BADI text box and in the menu choose 'Enhancement implementation' and select overview. You will get a pop up and at the bottom you will get a create button. Go ahead.

hi
you can trigger alert for any of the component failure.
for this u nees the ccms configuration.
than you need to configure in RZ20 and RZ21.
steps.
1. create alert category in ALRTCATDEF
2.enter long text
3. add fixed recepient.
4.go to RZ21.
5. select display overview for method
6. serch for method CCMS_Send_Alert_to_ALM.
7. copy the method and create ur own Z method.
8. open ur method.
9. under control tab select ONLY IN CENTRAL SYSTEM TRIGGERED BY CCMS AGENTS.
10. in parameter tab give ur alert cat created before.
11.under release tab select AUTO REACTION METHOD.
12. go to RZ20.
13. a list of system will be displyed select ur own xi system
14. now select the queue name for which u want to trigger alert.
15.goto property button and double click.
16. go to method tab and click on method assigment.
17. goto method radio button and assigne the method u created in RZ21.
done.....enjoy....
u can check the log in slg1 tcode

Sender File adpter --don't raise alerts when file does not exist in folder

Hi,
My Scenario is File --- >XI ---> SAP.
I must archieve the file after it got polled. and iam polling for every 60 mins, if the file does not exist,it is throwing an alert like "Could not process file '.file..xml: No such file or directory '
Is there any way i can avoid raising an alert if file does not exist in the source folder.
we are on XI 3.0 sp23?

I know you want to say "Don't Raise alerts when file does not exist in folder". Correct me if I am wrong.
Some times it happens, when we write the right thing but it means something else and this is the reason many experts have replied, "how to raise an alert". So if you remove the word "Sender File adapter" from your subject then it will be easy to understand the exact meaning.

I need a Badi that is triggered when saving Sales order in both Va01 and Va02
I tried with the following BADI's
BADI : BADI_SD_SALES
Implementation : /BEV1/SR_SALES_ORD_1
Method SAVE_DOCUMENT
Now when i want to put my peice of code in this (SAVE_DOCUMENT) method.
It is asking for Access key. Which i do not have.
Should i create a implementation and then create a method and then put my code there?

You will probably not find a BADI to suit your needs. However if you look at include program MV45AFZZ you should find two subroutines: USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE and USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT. You can put the code you need directly into these subroutines. If these have not been changed yet on your system, you will need an access key to make these changes.
Please read the documentation in the header of the subroutines for furtner information on when they are called.

It sounds like the folder you are saving to does not have the proper permission for you to write to it. What OS are you using?

It depends on the original format and the destination format of the file.
PS: You should upgrade to version 11.0.1

"Insufficient data for an image" when saving a file

I'm running Acrobat 9.5.0 on a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.6.8.
After scanning a document from my Canon MX882, or opening and editing an existing pdf I get the following error when I try to save the file:
Insufficient data for an image
When I try to save the file again, I get this:
The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (109).
Sometimes the error also has (8) instead of (109).
When this occurs, the thumbnail of the page appears correct in the left pane; however, the content of the page itself is entirely or partially missing.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also having this problem, especially with scanned documents. Since I need to download scanned documents in my work this is a big problem!Sometimes I can read but not save the document, sometimes one or two of the pages will be blank from the start. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader XI (11.0.10). I tried reducing the page zoom, a suggested workaround on this page: Acrobat: “Insufficient data for an image” error after updating to 10.1.4 or 9.5.2, but that did not help at all. FWIW I use a Windows 8.1 PC with 4 GB RAM. I usually download PDFs from the internet using Firefox.

Need a BADI for raising error messages for equi update (IE02)

we are trying to raise few error messages while creating equipments through BADI's (Processing through IE02 and BAPI's).
No BADI's are supporting for raising error messages.
SAP doesnt support processing of userexits through BAPI's (refer note 564467).
we actually need to implement these checks and should available for all the below processes:
Through IE02
while doing through BAPI's
While Executing MASS CHANGE functionality (IE05)
Please suggest any other solution to achieve all the three at one go instead of creating some enhancements for every thing.

Try and search for a BADI....for transaction I102...take the package name and go to SE18 and see if BADI's are available...
Alternatively search for key CL_EXITHANDLER or get BADI in the main program of IE02..
if you are using SAP ECC6.0 then implicit or explicit enhancements will be available... Utilize them to meet your requirement...

Thank you for the note. but this feature is available from 7.3 SP13 but we are on 7.3 SP4.and it is very difficult to upgrade to SP13.
For us the webmethods will place the messages in their queue and PI pick those messages using the Sender JMS channel with following configuration,
transport protocol:Access JMS provider Generically
Message protocol:JMS1.X
Is there any other solution to trigger an alert when the thread is hung? Also is it possible to auto referesh a channel?

Entreprise Manager with TimesTen plugin : raising alert when repAgent down

Not sure if this is the correct place as it's also related to EM Grid Control.
I'm trying to have EM raise an alert when a TimesTen replication agent is not running.
I see that the TimesTen plugin provides different metrics with thresholds, but the "Replication Agent Running" information cannot be associated to thresholds... (or at least I didn't succeed in doing it)
I've tried to use the "service" tab of EM Grid Control in order to use a custom script on the timesten machine to check if the replication agent is running or not. The script seems to work fine, but I cannot manage to have it raise an alert in EM...
Am I missing some obvious way to achieve what I want ? (raise EM alert when repAgent down)
Or is it just me not doing things correctly with EM (which might be the case as I'm far from being an expert with EM)
EMGC is 10.2.0.5 and TimesTen is 7.0.5

We made some user-defined metric on the grid based on output from a script that tests whether the agent is up or not.
Based on the value returned, an laert is raised.

The phone can't sense if the cover is open or not. Smart Connect will however give you a reminder to check/close the flap after charging. If you selected the option to not show the reminder again and want it back you can go to Settings -> Apps -> Smart Connect -> Clear data.

Prompt for Customizing request when saving Sales Employee (VPE1)

When we try to create Sales Personnel through SD Menu path (VPE1), on saving the system prompts for customizing request. Since this transaction is a master data and we dont transport this data to our production system. Suggest me a way to avoid this transport request while creating Sales Personnel.
We are currently using version 3.1i and upgrading to ECC6.0. In 3.1i we use transaction PAL1 to create Sales Personnel However it will not prompt for Customizing request
Also checked the SAP Note Note 854390 - FAQ: Use of the sales representative in SD without HR
Help me on how to turn off this customizing request. Basis and Security team could not able to turn this off.

you have 2 choices:
1. create a transport request, save the data but do not release it for transport.
2. when the dialog asks you for transport request, just close this. the system will give you a message about links. just ignore it.

BADI for Reference Object when IBase is entered in Service Transaction

Is there a BADI to change the Objject Reference Data when the Object ID (Product ID) and IBase ID is entered in a Service Transaction (User presses 'ENTER')
When the user enters the Product ID/ IBase ID in the Service Transaction and hits 'ENTER', I need a BADI to change and manipulate the Reference Object Data (Description, Serial Number) etc before it is output on the screen.

I have a similar question and after lloking around in internet I still have no clue how to solve it. When creating a service ticket i introduce the Ibase and Component. The Organization has to be determined based on the postal code of the IBASE. Now my problem is that still no GUID and Object ID of the Business Transaction is generated so I can not use for example FM CRM_ORDER_READ.
Also I have problems to find the structure or table where to see the IBASES which are related to Business Transactions if the transaction still not is created.
Any ideas?
