BI publisher report not refreshing when associated OBI EE report is changed

We have a dashboard that has an OBI report at the top, and a linked BI Publisher report underneath. The BI Publisher report is supposed to reflect a template version of the results in the OBI report.
On the initial load of the report, the two reports are synched and matching. However, when you change a prompt with a request variable for the OBI report, the BI publisher report either blanks out or shows the prior information which no longer matches. If I change defaults in the OBI EE report, resave, then reload, the BI Publisher always gets it right the first time, just never again after that.
Since all my research to this point led to a caching issue, here are the report properties that matter(?):
Report properties:

Also – how do you make PDF the default output for a BI Publisher report? When we load this dashboard, it always tries to run the RTF version, and we have to Cancel, choose PDF and then refresh to get the PDF version.

when you change a prompt with a request variable for the OBI reportUse Presentation Variable instead of Request Variable. Make sure you keep the same name for both Parameter in the BIP report and Presentation Variable in BI.

SSRS reports are always best viewed in IE and the report result what you see in IE always will not be same and consistent in thirdy party browswers.

Image does not refresh when I undo

This seems only to happen when using my Wacom. A lot of friends have the same problem.
The viewport/canvas does not refresh when undoing a paint stroke done with my Wacom Intuos4 Wireless. But when I make a new paint stroke or zoom in or something else that requires the viewport to refresh it looks correct. I am using Photoshop CS5.1 (Production Premium CS5.5). I am running Mac OS X Lion on a MacBook Pro 13" 2011.
Anyone else having this issue? It seems like a nasty bug to me.

OK, I have done some testing and this happens on three friends computers. What we have in common is Wacom Tablets (different kinds, intous3, intuos4, bamboo and intuos4wl), Photoshop CS5.5, OS X Lion and Macbook 13" 2011.
However, another friend just bought a new intuos4wl for his Macbook Pro 15" late 2008 (MacBook Pro5,1) thats running Snow Leopard. So far this seems to only happen with wacoms + cs5.5 + lion. And another friend is running CS5 on a MacBook Pro 13" 2011 without problems.
I would say that the problem is PS CS5.1 in conjunction with Lion and Wacom tablets. Scratch what I said earlier about external monitors.

Hi,
From your description, the group with none categories won’t fresh when changing flag in Category view. If I misunderstood, please point it out.
As you can in the View tab as below, there is Category as well as Flag: Start date or Due Date. It means that grouping per color categories is more or less different from that
grouping by flag.

Report does not refresh when link to page

I have a report on page 1 with a column link to a report on page 2.
The link sets items on page 2.
If I use the 'Page in this Application' from the column link, the items on page 2 are set and the report is automatically refreshed.
If I use the 'URL' in the column link, the items are set but the report on page 2 is not refreshed. I have more than 3 items to pass via the link so I have to use the URL. The url syntax is correct - if I click a Go button on page 2 the data refreshes fine.
I have the same problem when clicking a tab that I have set to clear the page items - the tab clears the cache on the target page but the data in the report is not refreshed until I click the go button.
The items on page 2 are select lists and text (always submit when enter pressed).
How can I get the report on page 2 to auto refresh without the user having to click the Go button?

I can't post the pages (site reasons) but here's the debug.
All the item values are set correctly to what I want but at point 041 - I get the custom "no rows returned error". If I click the refresh button (essentially a submit with go) the date appears.
I am now using the link set up to go to 'Page in Application' with clear cache and 3 item variables set and reset pagination ticked and the request of Go (its the same result without the request and the pagination unticked).
Any ideas?

Adobe Captivate 8.1 TOC not refreshing when published

I have Adobe Captivate v8.1. In my project, which originated in PPTX, the slides are not refreshing in the TOC in Captivate. I have used the 'reset' button in TOC but when I publish, it is not picking up the slide title?

PowerPoint is not the best about managing slide titles. Unless you created the content in outline mode, or laboriously added titles to each slide in outline mode, you may find that what appears to be a slide title in PowerPoint is not recognized as a slide title by Captivate.
The good new is, once you add the titles (either in Captivate or in PowerPoint), you should be able to see them in the TOC after refreshing it.
Just be aware, you'll loose any customization to the TOC contents when you refresh.

Crystal Report Not Refreshing in browser

Am using crystal report for my web application so here am passing my parameter from jsp page
but it is not refreshing
For example
I am select Month=jan my query goes this way.
Select * from employee where month='jan' group by department order by designation
when am intially design in eclipse in filter option am selecting 'jan' and when am running in browser am passing the same query with the parameter but here instead of 'jan' am passing month variable where my month variable changes every time according to user choose
my crystal report is not getting refreshed ..

WebI report not refreshed after BW pwd change - SAP EP-KM asPoint of entry

Config:

Imported all transports
Configured BW Publisher
Configured SAP Authentication in CMC
Imported required roles in CMC
Imported KM Par file in Portal
Issue:
Users logon to EP with SAP BW credentials and clicks on a webi report within KM with Infoview structure -> report is executed and can be refreshed successfully.
User forgets his pwd and the security team reset his pwd
User logon to SAP EP with reset initial pwd and gets a prompt to enter new pwd -> new pwd chosen and logon successful -> clicks on a report within KM with Infoview structure -> report pops up but can not be refreshed as an error msg below pops up
A database error occured.
The database error text is: Unable to connect to SAP BW server Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon). (WIS 10901)
Temporary solution:
Logon to Infoview directly and login with SAP account -> report executed and refreshed successfully -> Logout
Then go back to EP to execute report and since then works fine but issue occurs again if pwd is changed and logon to Infoview directly process have to be done to move on.
Has anybody had these issues or have an idea what config might be missing?
Please note that SNC was not configured as we are not using AD for logon or report bursting for now. All docs read have specified that SNC is not required for my scenario.
Also certificates have been established btw BW and EP and SSO works well with BEX queries deployed thru EP.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

More info -
If I clear the error msg and continue to click on refresh values in prompt screen multiple times then the bw account gets locked in SAP BW backend.
Please note that the universe was created to use SSO authentication and no user credentials hardcoded.
FQDN are also used for all the configs.
Has anybody encountered these issues before? Please let me know if you have any ideas or pointers.

Splitter Problem - ALV Grid not refreshed when selected another item

Hi Experts!!
I have a container on screen 100 which has to be split into 3 areas. Left area ->tree, Right top area -alv grid and bottom also alv grid. I created the program without splitter and it was working fine. After I added this splitter, I see that in ALV grid, the data is not being refreshed. When double clicked on an item in tree struct, ALV grid (CL_SALV_TABLE) to be shown.. Firstly it's fine but when I double click on another item, it's not refreshing the data but is showing the same previous data.
I have searched existing posts and implemented, but no luck.

Write back report not refreshing

Hi,
I have created two simple 11.1.1.6 analysis and put them on a dashboard. The first enables the user to enter some commentary into a text box and save the entered text to the database. The second is a simple report on these comments, this report does not show all the new comments entered even when I refresh the analysis. Is there a parameter or config item I need to set to get a report to refresh in real time?

1) Disable cache on that table
2) Delete presentation services cache or you can try 'bypass prs server cache' option
3) Delete your browser cache. also log out and log in again.

Crystal Report not working when posting the report to the Crystal Server.

Hi All,
I created a report using Crystal Reports 2008 with two ODBC connections (User DSN's). When I run the report in Crystal Reports (where I originally created it) it runs fine with no problems.
I am now trying to load it on Crystal Server 2008. When I try to run this report in InfoView, I get a message: "Error Failed to open the connection." I am thinking that it has to do with the ODBC connections but I am not quite sure. Could someone lead me in the right direction? How will the report that I now saved in the repository on the server connect to the ODBC stream?

Solved my problem. I had to tweak the ODBC drivers on the server.

Prompts are not working when we call another report from the narrative view

Hi,
In my dashboard i need a table view report which should have scrolling option only for that section.
For this i added a html tag <iframe ........scrolling="yes"> in the narrative view and i added that narrative view in the report.
Now,it works fine in the dashboard.
But when i apply prompts in the dashboard the values are not filtering even though i added the "is prompted" filter condition in the criteria of both narrative view section and the called function.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi,
since you have created an iframe dashboard prompt wont work on that report.Same is the case if you put the report in Embeded content.
One possible workaround is to creaate a dummy report having columns same as that of dashboard prompt.Put all the columns is prmompted in this report
(No need to create dummy report if you already have those columns in some other report,You can use that report also)
Then go to your Iframe report and use "filter based on other request".In this way dashboard prompt will filter dummy report and based on dummy report values your iframe report will also filter.

Swing problem: table is not refreshed when i open it from jdialog

Hi , my situation is this one :
1. i have a swing form.
2. i have created a panel form where i have a drop down list and a table. wich are depndend with each other. When i choose an item to the drop down list the value in the table is changed.
3. i invoke this panel into the form with drag and drop, with invoke jDialog from button option.
4. First time i run the form and open the panel from button the drop down list and the table are working correctly.
5. i close the panel and open it again: And at this time when i choose an item from drop down list the table is not refreshed anymore. I have to run the form again if i want that this panel to work correctly.
Am i doing smth wrong? I dont have too much experience in swing , and the documentation for adf-swign are really poor .
Ps: Maybe i should explain the way i have created the drop down list and table in the panel . i am not using smth like execute with parameters for the view in the table. I have created a link between the view in the drop down list and the view in the table. It seems they work correcly if i run the panel for the first time.

To answer your question, Restore the iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. If fixed, it was software. If still problem, most likely hardware, and then make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

Classic Report not retrieving when accessing the first time

I have two classic reports on two separate tabs and the first time that I access the tabs, the report does not retrieve. However, if I tab off and then back onto the tab, the report will retrieve.
Any idea why these two tabs are not retrieving when initially accessing the tab?
I have several other tabs in the same application that retrieve properly when initially access them.

I think I remember something like that happening to me because there were variables that were not initialized properly that the report used.

JPanel do not refresh when minimizing or moving JApplet

I�m using a JApplet that contains a JTree,some buttons and 3 JPanels. The 3 panels have the same size and are placed in the same place. So, 2 panels have the setVisible(false) and one setVisible(true), and depending on the situation, I change the panel I want to show. The problem is that in the appletviewer, when I move the applet, I minimize it or I put a window in front of it, the JPanel visible (all of them contain JTextFields, JTextAreas, JCombos ...) does not refresh and I cannot see the components inside the panel. This doesn�t happen with the JTree and the buttons.

I think I got the solution. First you have to add the panel to the frame :
this.getContentPane().add(panel, new XYConstraints(240, 112, -1, 484));
and then add the elements to the panel.
If you first add the elements and then the panel to the frame, the elements inside the panel are not refreshed (they dissapear) if you minimize or move the window.
