You can use the external tools option and call Star Team command line, something like this:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/howtos/extools/subversion.html
And for deeper integration you can use the JDeveloper Extension SDK and build an extension.

  • UML model synchronization

    I have a problem with the UML support that I need help with. I have an existing Netbeans project and created a UML project reversed from existing Java sources (or something like that).
    I have a source tree like this:
    com.test.packagea
                      ObjectA.java
    com.test.packageb
                      ObjectB.java
                      ObjectC.javaObjectB is dependent on ObjectC through a method call.
    The UML model shows this structure and life is good. I update my source tree from version control (Star Team) and another developer has moved ObjectC into packagea. My tree now has two ObjectC items, one in each package like this:
    com.test.packagea
                      ObjectA.java
                      ObjectC.java
    com.test.packageb
                      ObjectB.java
                      ObjectC.javaWhat I really would like is a way to reconcile this situation. Maybe a notification that source code for ObjectC in packagebis no longer available and then scan any newly created models (ObjectC in packagea) to see if that is the correct model. There may be a way to do this, but I have not found it.

    I have reset the project to look like this:
    com.test.packagea
                      ObjectA.java
    com.test.packageb
                      ObjectB.java
                      ObjectC.javaI now move ObjectC.java to packagea. The java project updates properly with no problem. I then right click on the com package and choose Tools-->Synchronize model from source and end up with the following project:
    com.test.packagea
                      ObjectA.java
                      ObjectC.java
    com.test.packageb
                      ObjectB.java
                      ObjectB.java
                      ObjectC.java
                      ObjectC.java (This looks to be an instance element?)I would report this but there isn't a bug/rfe report option on the Early Access home page.

  • Delphi has given up after Version 4.x. What now? They don't support your product so now we can't either. Any plans to make your web server a little nicer?

     

    Um. I'm not sure I understand your question. It really sounds like your question should be addressed towards Borland's support team.
    I haven't worked with Delphi since 1997, but I'll make a couple of observations:
    It looks like Delphi's WebSnap interfaces with iWS via NSAPI. And the NSAPI in iWS 6.x is backwards compatible. So even if Borland doesn't officially support iWS 6.x it should still work fine.
    If Borland is going to continue producing Delphi they will probably certify iWS 6.x soon. iWS 4.x support ends this fall and iWS still has the majority of the marketshare for the F500. Not certifying an enterprise product against iWS 6.x (especially a product that should already work unchanged) would seem to be a bad idea on Borland's part.
    As far as planned improvements to iWS, of course there are planned improvements. But that doesn't seem to be the issue here. There are already lots of improvements that you would get if you upgrade from 4.x to 6.x. It's just that you are unable to take advantage of because of the Delphi tool. Another iWS release would only make your problem worse.
    As far as "what now?", I'd suggest badgering Borland to support iWS 6.x. iPlanet has made it as easy as possible for ISV's. It just sounds like they have to train their support desk on iWS 6. And the only way to motivate them to do that is to have customers call them.

    ShanI don't believe using Oracle, you can read zip/tar file contents. You should decompress your files, use for example, external tables to read the contents, insert into an Oracle table and then use UTL_SMTP to send emails using PL/SQL.

  • Premiere Pro 5.5 - All Grown Up

    I have been a Premiere user since version 5 going back to 1997 or 1998 I think. Through the years the one thing that frustrated me on more occasions than I can count is the countless crashes and instability. If I had a dollar every time Premiere crashed, choked, froze, threw an error, etc., I could have probably paid cash for my house. Through the years every new version was hyped as usual about the various new features and workflows but the instability and the fear of a crash always remained and I always said to myself "yeah ok, let’s see how many of the new features I can use before I am rebooting". The fear of crashes had me saving projects after ever other cut or tweak. If I has 5 or less crashes or freezes, etc in the course of a day it was a good "productive" day.
    Like many of my fellow community members here I have been paying my mortgage and making 100% of my income with Adobe's tools with Premiere being the main staple of my workflow and income. I ran Premiere Pro 1.5 for a few years and didn’t bother upgrading until the CS4 release. And to what did my wondering eyes did appear? More instability! Shocked! No I wasn't really shocked, I expected it. It's Premiere "Pro" after all right? I would have been a fool to think that a new release of PP would be stable.
    All playful sarcasm and kidding aside, through the years because of my true love and passion for Adobe and Premiere Pro I never abandoned Premiere. I never even tried FCP or Avid MC in hope that PP would one day get the love and affection from the PP development team and would one day be "all grown up" and be a "big boy" like it's big brothers AE and PS.
    About a week ago I downloaded the 5.5 free trial and all I can say is WOW! As I stated above "I would have been a fool to think that a new release of PP would be stable". Well...I happily swallowed a big piece of humble pie...today I am a fool. I wouldn't have believed it unless I tried it. I have been editing about 6-10 hours a day for about a week and I am just speechless. PP has been rock solid and hasn't crashed, frozen, not a hiccup. I truly can't put into words how amazed I am about the stability. I haven't enjoyed editing this much in the last week as I have had in the last 10 years. When I upgrade to the Master Collection when my trial has expired I can only hope that Dynamic Link is as rock solid. I have faith that it will be.
    About 3 years ago I met a friend of my brother n' laws and we got to talking and he said he worked out in CA doing audio editing for some TV show out there (can't remember the name but a cheesy show as I recall) and he said he did his audio on Pro Tools and the editors used Avid MC. He asked me what I did and I told him, he asked what I edited on. I said PP and SB and he kind of looked at me weird.
    Today I hold my head up high and when someone asks what I cut on I can proudly say Premiere Pro and when they answer I can look weird at them (unless they're smart and are cutting on PP).
    PP CS5 gave FCP a fat lip and now PP CS5.5 has FCP down for the count (with a little help from Apple stubbing it's arrogant toe as well !)

    I hear ya. I felt the urge to make the original posting because I was just that impressed, shocked, etc with my trial of PP 5.5. I was ready to burst with excitement and I needed to vent somewhere, lol. I tell my wife and just looks at me and says "that's great hon", she doesn't get it but she tries to humor me.
    I am on day 14 or 15 of my trial and I literally have been editing several hours a day, every day, even on the weekends to squeeze every minute possible out of my trial and pound on PP as much as I can. As of this posting PP 5.5 has NOT frozen, threw an error or anything, literally NOT ONE HICCUP!!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe it. I understand that no software is perfect and I'm sure at some point there will be an error or a quirk or something, but if it's only going to have once every couple of weeks or once a month, etc., I can live with that. Like I said I know there is no such thing as perfect software but this PP 5.5 has me wondering...
    I can't put it to words on this forum that would express my utter joy and excitement for PP 5.5 so I will stop trying haha. I don't want to start sounding like a weirdo or something.
    I have had PP, AE and ME (all 5.5) open simultaneously, having ME encode in the background while I continued to edit in PP or mess around in AE...FLAWLESS!!! With CS4 when I would encode in the background and try switching back to PP or AE to edit or further composite 5 out of 10 times it ended badly. My system is adequate but by no means stellar. I'm sure a lot of my problems with CS4 was the fact it was 32 bit and I was asking CS4 to swallow too much in terms of ram for how much ram it could use.
    I am running Win Vista 64 Home Premium, Intel Quad Core, 8 GB Ram. Like I said, adequate but certainly not stellar. I watched a recent video by Karl Soule in the Short and Suite series and I have been convinced that my next system upgrade will be an HP Worksation. I can only fantasize how fast PP, AE and ME would just be insane on a system like that.
    IMO, I would definitely say give PP a shot. With the release of 5.5 Adobe has made a statement to the professional community. Like you said Apple seems to be moving away from its Pro line and focusing more on iPads, iPhones, iThis and iThat. In that respect Apple is fantastic and is the no.2 company in the world for that reason.
    Anyone who is in our line of work uses Photoshop and I'm sure 99/100 use AE to some degree. So to me it only makes sense to use PP (now that is has been rebuilt and is ridiculously stable) because of the stellar integration between the apps. A few years ago I could see why a lot of editors said the heck with PP. With the rebirth of PP Adobe has one heck of an All Star team now. I know which team I'm staying on.
    Whatever you decide I wish you the best. Keep us all posted on your decision.

  • Sometimes it's just the little things...

    I just updated all the video apps and I am very pleased.
    1) I am THRILLED    that we have the OPTION of having sequence markers ripple. I begged for that as a feature request for I don't know how long. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This single feature is worth the update for me alone.
    2) When CS6 was relased I did not really like the "Fat" trim/ripple trim indicators. I am very happy they went on a diet and are nice and "tight" looking now lol.
    Along with the slew of new features in this update (and last update), PP CC is rockin' !
    As minor as they are those are my top 2 fav features.
    The PP Team is doing an excellent job. I run Win 7 Pro on a very modest machine and PPRO and the oher video apps run like butter for me.
    PP, AE, PS, AU, PL, AI, AME...the best software on the planet IMO for $50 a month? I feel like I'm stealing.
    Now Encore was still a part of the "All Star" team I'd have to start blowing kisses...hahaha!
    Seriously, keep up the GREAT work PPRO team!

    1. That is nice, but I found out today, it doesn't quite go far enough.  I usually add sequence markers to the editing sequence, which serve to mark where I want to put the Chapter Markers in the final output sequence.  It's great that when revising that edit sequence, the markers move, but I'm still faced with manually moving the Chapter markers one at a time.
    So close...
    2. Yeah, that is a nice design change.  Makes selection a bit easier.

  • 5 stars not showing up on other computers when importing images that have been worked on. Catalogues settings include write metadata to xmp keywords do show up though

    our working group usually one team member imports and completes job in lightroom 5 . All settings on team computers include write metadata to xmp.  Key words show up if another team member adds the images to their catalogue but the 5 stars don't show up.
    We use the 5 stars to show images that were worked on and complete.
    Would love to sort this issue out as we rely on being able to see the star rating not just keywords.

    [Sorry for the delay in getting back.] Of the three files you included in the Dropbox .zip, 2 had no rating, and 1 had a 5-star rating (*research*.dng).  So indeed, the rating didn't get written to those two files and wouldn't show up when they were imported into another catalog.
    A couple of suggestions:
    1. Triple-check that the option Automatically Write Changes Into XMP is set in Catalog Settings > File Handling in everyone's Lightroom.
    2.  After someone sets the rating, check the thumbnail in Library grid mode -- does it have a badge in the upper-right corner indicating the metadata needs to be updated?  If it does, then that means the metadata isn't getting written immediately back to the file:

  • Problem with "Starred" Message in Mailbox

    I have an email in my mailbox, which is headed with the notation (0 Items) and a Subject Line below that, which is followed by YELLOW Star.  I cannot do anything with this message--either open it or go to the Menu List and perform any other function about it.  How to I delete it from my mail list--it probably was SPAM to begin with, but now it is just stuck there.  Any help will be great.   • Just A Thank You To Jamie At Customer Options Team

    So basically BT have apparently found the problem to hand its the package im on cuasing problems pushing to much down my line 
    So i had the engi notes to hand explained the problem to a gentleman named Jamie 
    completed a new order for Infinity Option 1 Total Unlimited 
    Hope the engi is right tho with my line not being able to handle option 2 due to capacity of my line  i cancelled with TT hoping this will work

  • Calling Options Team from outside the UK

All numbers are 0800 numbers or go through to call waiting numbers with no idea how long it will take to get through. Having waited 45 minutes listening to the 'in a queue message' I had to hang up. Anyone know the correct number to call from outside the UK and how one can get through or email the team since there appears to be no one there.

    The Customer Options Team deals with cancellations so I'm not too sure how they can help if your premises are flooded, the Faults team might be a better team to speak to?
    I'll PM you their number (when calling from overseas) though if your account is a BT Business account the number will be different so I'll PM both.

    I am new to this tech . I have a requirement like this , I have to prepare the star schema for this data sheet as below .

    Note : There are 3 report date types 2011-01,02,03 and three teams team 1,2,3 as text data and all others columns contain number data .
    I am given Time as dimensional table containing the Report Date and Whole sheet as Data table . So how to define the relationship for this in Physical and BMM ?
    I am thinking to make Time as Dimensional Table and the whole table(as Data) as a fact table in the Physical layer . And then in the BMM , I want to carve out a Logical Dimension called Group from the Data Physical Table and then make Group and Time as dimensional Table and Data as Fact table .
    Is this approach is correct ? please suggest me and if have any better Idea ,then please note down what are the tables to be taken as Dimension and Fact table in both physical and BMM . Your help willl be appreciated ,so thanks in advance . You can also advice for any change in no of Physical tables in the Physical schema design ..

    You don't say which film you're struggling to download, I had problems with a-team and I ended up emailing the address on the leaflet, turns out they had a lot of problems  with people's codes,  they then gave me a new code to use! I have now managed to get the film downloaded?
