Bug in Report Buider (anybody solve it?)

We are facing a problem with Oracle Developer Report Builder
6.0.5.28.0 . The Problem is as Follows.
When we print a report from the previewer of a
character mode report it is giving a GPF error and we are
unable to print the
Report but if the report is in Bitmap then it works
properly. The same character mode report if printed as
Detination
'Printer' then it prints properly.
When debugged using a VC++ Debugger we get the following
error
' Unhandled Exception RWRBE60.EXE(CORE40.DLL) ;
OXC0000005; Access Violation; and the system hangs.
Because of this we a facing a delay in the Release of Our
Product to our customers.
Requesting anybody to send me details
regarding this .

Hi,
Engineering researched the issue and it is a bug (design error) that needs to be fixed. (The semi-colon should not be used as the delimiter of two report rules.) I will let you know when I have more information.
In the meantime, the documentation will be clarified with this information to show the current behavior:
Beginning with firmware version 7.5.2b, the IP phone has the capability to do a delta configuration report and a status report. The phone reports the status data if the [--status] keyword is defined.
Both the status report rule and configuration report rule can be configured in the parameter . These two report rules should be separated with a semi-colon.
If the [--status] keyword or the status report file path is missing, the phone will not report the status data.
For example, if the following is configured:
http://my_http_server/config-525.xml
The phone will report the configuration data to
http://my_http_server/config-525.xml.
If the following is configured:
[--status]http://my_http_server/status-525.xml
The phone will report the status data to
http://my_http_server/config-525.xml.
If the following is configured:
[--delta]http://my_http_server/config-525.xml;
[--status]http://my_http_server/status-525.xml
The phone will report the delta configuration data to
http://my_http_server/config-525.xml and the
status data to http://my_http_server/status-
525.xml.

  • Ciscoworks LMS 3.2 bug summary report

    Hi,
I have one Ciscoworks LMS 3.2, it managed around 500 devices. I tried to generate bug summary report and the bug number is zero. Please kindly help to solve this problem.
    Best Regards,

For how many devices are you running the report?

Have you tried running it for just one?

Like as if cisco.com would not know about these C3750's
Maybe do an export of these 3750's in the DCR to see if the all have the same OID and if it is a supported OID.
Are your device packages up to date? You may want to sync those with CCO.

  • Bug toolkit report - LMS 3.1

    Hi
I have problems with Bug toolkit report - bug summary report.
I have empty all columns in this report. No bugs. Despite of having over 500 devices with various IOSes.
Is it depends on CCO account or something else?
    Best regards
    Marek

The Bug Toolkit report in RME can be problematic when it comes to certain device types.  That is why there is now a link to the Cisco.com Bug Toolkit report in the RME report interface.  You may have to forgo using the RME report, and use the Cisco.com tool directly to find bugs.

  • Has anybody solved the blue screen?

I have been slaving over my iBook G4 since 8pm PST last night when I performed the update that screwed up my machine. I have spent my day doing this and that and still get blue screen. Has anybody solved the puzzle on what to do to get operating again?

Hi, I had the "Safari & security update problem". It wouldn´t start no matter I repaired permissions with Disk Utility. So I reinstalled the OSX (10.4.11) That let me keep my files, bookmarks and stuff, but my printer settings were lost. If I replace the actual printer settings with the ones that still are on the "previous systems) folder will it cause me problems again? Hope you can tell, Thanks.

  • Is there a place to report mavericks bugs to  in order to solve them?

For example...in launchpad all the app icons are missing...showing me just the text under!
Where can I report this sort of problems?

Here, because that is not a bug in Mavericks, rather a problem arising from upgrading an existing system that is dysfunctional. I recommend that you reinstall Mavericks and see if the problem isn't fixed. You can report legitimate problems, that is problems that not only exist on your system but others as well, to:

After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    3. Re-download and reinstall Mavericks.
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • 2D Axis Scaling Bug in Reports (DIAdem 2014)

    Hello,
I've run across a rarther annoying bug in the 2D axis scaling for Reports.  Here's how to recreate it:
Load a dataset that has x and y components.
Create a new layout in the Report tab
On Sheet1, add a Simple 2D Axis System.
Select x and y from the dataset and drag it into the 2D axis system.
Change the scaling mode from "Completely Automatic" to "Manual."
Change the "Begin" number to something close to the default DIAdem has set.  Do not touch the "End" number.  Click OK.
Add Sheet2 and repeat steps #3 thru #6 on Sheet2 with a different dataset.
Both plots look good right now...
Go to Sheet2 and double click on the chart to bring up the Curve and Axis Definition.
    Don't touch anything...just click "Cancel."
After clicking Cancel, the scaling of the 2D axis completely changes.  I believe what happens is that DIAdem takes whatever the previous "End" number was and uses that instead of the "End" number you want.  Also, you don't actually have to go into the Curve and Axis Definition to create this bug.  Press cancel while editing anything like text (for example)...bye bye plot.
Moreover, if I go back in and set the scaling mode back to Auto, click preview to refresh the plot, then switch the mode to Manual, everything looks good.  However, if I copy Sheet2, the plot on Sheet2_Copy1 is messed up the same way as if I hit Cancel but Sheet2 is OK.
Worst of all, the undo function does not work on this unwanted scaling change.
This is a bug that makes plots in the Report files almost unusable.  I hope this is re-producable on other systems so a patch can be issued.  Let me know what you find.
The only workaround I've found is to click OK instead of Cancel, which isn't always preferred.
    Thanks,
    Jacob

  • HTML report bugs to report?

I did  experience two problem with the HTML report in LV6, LV8.0, LV8.5 and LV8.6.
1: When images are placed in the report these are generated in the temp folder. When the report is disposed, these files are not deleted. This will cause the temp folder to fill. I have modified my dispose report.vi file in vi.lib to solve this problem.
2: The append control image uses a millisecond timestamp to create a unique filename. When this function is called more then once in a millisecond the unqiue naam is not unique. Again, i have modified my dispose report.vi file in vi.lib to solve this problem.
Is this a worthy bug report so this fix can be included in the new LV version?
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\HTML\Dispose Report.vi
Bug: Found in LV 8.5, the images that are generated for the report are not ereased but are left as a trace in the <user>.temp folder
Repair: At dispose, delete all image files. Use the 'save-report' function to keep all these items
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb\HTML\Append Control Image to Report.vi
Bug: Found in LV 8.5, generation of unique number of image is based on 1msec timer. When function is called more then once in a msec this results in a not unique number.
Repair: A GLI function has been added to replace the timer, now a unique number is generated every time.

  • BUG: iTunes Reporting Section Doubling Download Metrics

I've found what seems to be a bug on the reporting section of the iTunes U metrics and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
I have attached a video to demonstrate what is happening, but essentially if I start counting metrics from Jan 2012, which is when Apple switched over to their new reporting system, the system doubles our number of downloads (among other things). If we start counting from Feb 2012 through the present, the metrics seem to be consistent with what Apple shows me on the front summary page.

Any thoughts on this would be great.

    Katie;
Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. Just for grins I tried the sequence again on a different Mac (MacBook Air, 10.8.2) with the same results...no change in the numbers.
Just as an experiment, have you tried resetting Safari?  It might be worth a try.  All the best...

  • TFS SSRS bug age report

    Hello,
I want to create pie chart report which will display bug counts according to their age i.e. within last month, 1-3 month old and 3+ month ago.
I have got dataset (TFS2010Olap as data source) which is displaying 2 columns, System_CreatedDate and WorkItem_count. I want to create group expression at chart level so it categories
source data and display on chart accordingly.
I am using this expression in categoryGroup of pie chart:
    =iif(CDate(Fields!System_CreatedDate.Value) > DateAdd("m", -1, now), "Within Previous Month", iif(CDate(Fields!System_CreatedDate.Value) > DateAdd("m", -3, now), "1-3 Months Old", "3+ Months Old"))
but I am getting error: Conversion from string "22/01/2012" to type "Date" is not valid. I tried to do with function
"DateDiff" but getting same error. Please let me know what I am missing or wrong in the expression? I had a look at MSDN post with title "SSRS
Report to calculate Bug Age" but getting this date conversion problem.
I tried to format date as well but getting format error again:
    =iif(cdate(format((Fields!System_CreatedDate.Value),"dd/MM/yyyy")) > format(DateAdd("m", -1, now),"dd/MM/yyyy"), "Within Previous Month",
    iif(cdate(format((Fields!System_CreatedDate.Value),"dd/MM/yyyy")) > format(DateAdd("m", -3, now),"dd/MM/yyyy"), "1-3 Months Old", "3+ Months Old"))

    Hi gajeshm,
I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue,  the issue caused by the format of the
System_CreatedDate which is "dd/MM/yyyy" and not supportted as the date type in the report but instead of string type. You need to convert this field to the string format "MM/dd/yyyy" and then using the CDate()
function to change it the Date type (because the format "dd/MM/yyyy" which is not support to use directly in the CDate() function, so we need to change it to "MM/dd/yyyy" using the split() function and this format will support to use in
    the CDate() function).
Details information below for your reference:
Right click the dateset to add calculated field(NewSystem_CreateDate) and use expression as below, this calculated field will display the NewSystem_CreateDate which is the datetype and format is "MM/dd/yyyy":
    =Cdate(split(Fields!System_CreatedDate.Value,"/")(1) &"/"& split(Fields!System_CreatedDate1.Value,"/")(0)&"/"&split(Fields!System_CreatedDate.Value,"/")(2))
Modify the first expression you have provided and change the "System_CreatedDate" to the Calculated field "System_CreatedDate":
    =iif(Fields!NewSystem_CreatedDate.Value> DateAdd("m", -1, now), "Within Previous Month", iif(Fields!NewSystem_CreatedDate.Value > DateAdd("m", -3, now), "1-3 Months Old", "3+ Months Old"))

  • Bug in Reports 6 Urgent

    HI,
I have Reports (dev 6.0.5). Whenever I use Built in package LIST in my application it compiles but during execution I get an error that package not found...please help URGENT
    TIA
    Anand

I can't reproduce this with Reports 6i (6.0.8). Are you sure that it's the LIST package that's causing the compilation issues (often this issue can be caused by running against a different database that was compiled against, and data structure changes making automatic compilation impossible).
If you've checked this out, and still feel that you have a bug then I would suggest that you log an iTAR with Oracle Support.

    Danny

  • ApEx 3.0 BUG. Report Query Attributes

I found this bug when I tried to derive format from Page Item.
    Here is my actions:
    1.I create a Report Query.
    2. Then I create RTF template.
    3. Test it, it works.
    4. Then I tried to change output format from pdf. It works.
    5. I create Application item
    6. Select Format "Derive from page item"
    7. Choose my item and press "Apply Changes" button.
    8. When I open my query again I can see "PDF".
    9. I tried to change it several times, and I still can see "PDF" instead of "Derive from Page Item".
    P.S. I use PI Publisher.
P.P.S. It works in Regular Print Report.
    Best Regards, Kostya Proskudin

    Kostya ,
Thanks for reporting this issue. That's a known problem, which we have already resolved, and we'll make this fix available with our upcoming patch release. Meanwhile, you can actually use those RTF templates with regular report regions, provided you have the same SQL statement in your report region, as you used in your report query. And for report regions, you actually can have the output format determined by an item.
    Thanks,
    Marc
