Business Area protected in KO02 ( change Order ) : How to enable it ? :-)

I've a question.
For some reasons, some Internal orders have been created without business area.
How can I correct them ? ( because the field is protected in KO02 )
Bonus question : How to make this field mandatory at the Internal Order creation ?

Update BA through LSMW / BDC,
Slecect Field status as a Required in Order Type T.Code: kot2_opa

While making the Internal Order, you are using a company code that intends to create business-area balance sheets. This is why you must enter a business area.
You can see this text if you double-click on the error message that flashes on your status bar at the bottom of your screen, when SAP says "Enter the business area".
Unfortunately, the only way to make this optional is to de-activate Business Area-wise financial statments for your company code, which, I suspect you might not want to do merely to be able to make an Internal Order with a BA.

Why are my form tabs changing order?
I am manually setting form fill tabs in a multi-page document and each time I set a page and save, one of the previous pages reverts to the default order. Any idea why this is happening or how to prevent it?

HT4236 when i transfer photos to pc they are not in the same order - how do i get them in order
Down loading photos to Ipad4 does not place them in the same order as in my PC
If i rename photos eg: 1,2,3,4,5, ect it still does not transfer them in order - could some one help pleaseI BELIEVE it orders them in date taken order, not name order.
You can look for a third party app that will allow you to choose/alter the sort order, or use a program to edit the properties of the photos to give them all the same date, which will then allow the iPad to default to name order. I found a free program that'll do that, but you may want to preserve the original dates on your photos so the other photos app might be yoru best bet. I'm not familiar with any but perhaps someone can recommend one to you. -
Redetermine Business Area in Sales Orders

I need to re-determine Business Area in already created Sales Orders. Orders are open - not delivered, or invoiced. How to do it?Dear Friend,
Business Area is determine in Sales order for each line Item automatically based on config setting in Enterprises
Structure in combination of PLANT + Division + Business Area and you can't change the same.
Note: Please make habbit of updating your thread,whether answered or where r u getting stuck.

Is it possible to change the business area when we post a clearing document?
For example, we need to pay the line item that have business area 3000. Then we use transaction F110 to create a payment then a clearing docuement will be created with business area 3000. Can we configure it to change to Business area 1000 when we do the payment.
I tried to implement a FI substitution but Business area field cannot be changed(OSS Note 42615). we can do that by changing standard program but it is not recommended by SAP.
Any idea on how to do this? Configuration, BTE or any user exits? Point will be rewarded for any helpful answer.

Could you please explain more about assignment and substitution? did you implement this before?
I am in doubt because OSS Note 42615 said that GSBER (Business area) must not be substituted. Therefore, if you implement it and there is no problem, I will do the same.

User exit or BADI for business area in sales order

At present the business area in the sales order is greyed.i want to remove the greyed field and put some input value to the business area when a new sales order is created....

You can use userexit userexit_cobl_send_header
If you overule the settings, you will be able to enter business area ( GSBER )
Also, try out:
userexit_cobl_receive_vbak to transfer the screen value entered by the user back to vbak-gsber.
If item level is also necessary you also need :
userexit_cobl_send_item
userexit_cobl_receive_vbap

I think, you need to post mannually if you have the list of documents posted with out business area.
ex:
1.Before posting of accounting entry as below, you should deactivate business area component in OB65 againest your co.code
2.Post accounting entry as below
40 123456 without business area 100
50 123456 with business area ABC 100
3. Goto T.Code: OB65 activate the business area component.
4. After posting of accounting entry like above you should run transaction F.5D and F.5E again, make sure that above entry not come again while executing F.5D.
First you can try this process in dev client, if you are comfort with this process then follow the same in quality and production.
Note: You can do this transactions in production client, only when there were no users working on the system.

Business Area Missing in Settling to Gl
Hi,
Business Area is missing while settling order to Gl. in Ko88. I had given validation for Gl, it was working we are able to go order(ko02) & insert Business area in settlement rule for new order. But there is a problem with Partially settled orders , in settlement rule the Business area position is greyed.
Pl. provide the solution at the earliest, how to go about in settling the old orders with Business area.

I cannot get the details of FS00 as mentioned by you as I am not linked to your server now.
The GR/IR Clearing account is a centralized clearing and reconciliation account which works like a bridge
which is getting debited on procurement and reversed during MIRO and is not linked to any Business Area.
It is a Balance Sheet account which reveals the nature of goods received by your Plant whatever may be
the storage location. If the inventory account is there, it will show for which business area you have
purchased. During MIRO the GR/IR account becomes nil and it is an automatic internal posting through OBYC
assignment. The other accounts will be vendor account which may carry BA classifications. Hope you are clear.

In MIRO transaction, Headers - Detail Tab, there is Business Area field.
Currently in our system the field displays blank value.
We have the requirement to be able to identify each invoice belongs to which Business Area. However we don't want a manual entry of this field during MIRO transaction. We need the value to be defaulted from either vendor master or purchase order. However I have search for business area in both vendor master and purchase order but I couldn't found it.
The questions we have are:
1. Is there a way to automatically default the business area in MIRO?
2. If it is possible, where to set the default value?

However I don't think the business area value is defaulted from plant as a plant can be link to multiple business areas. Based on a plant, how do system determined which business area to be pulled to MIRO?

iam not sure how it can be checked but in FS00 you can compare both GL Accounts at - control in chart of accounts whether it is p& l account or Balance sheet account
also check the field status group
if you can compare both GL accounts you will get the answer
If you are doing sales order check whether the Business area is appaering in the order

Business Area in FI Doc Differs in COPA Doc
Hello,
In an FI document, business area was different against the business area recorded in COPA document. We could not trace how this happened.

PA Doc BA2
To correct, we reversed the FI document. But, reversal did not meet the objective. Business Area in PA doc was then the same with FI doc.

So, there's now misstatement between the two.
We adjusted the PA via KB41N (Manual Repost of Revenue). And it was then balanced.

But KALC was ran at month end. CO is always reconciled with FI at month end. Hence, the adjustment made via KB41N was made with FI doc. FI & PA is again, not balanced. As if KB41N was not posted.
How do you handle this difference as to business area in FI & PA?Hi
There are 2 things to it
1. 1st to rectify the situation, you can post a adjustment from KE21N.. where in you post a -ve posting for wrong BA and then normal posting for correct bus area
Or, you can use KE26 also which will repost in one shot...
2. 2nd is to identify the cause what triggered the wrong bus area in COPA... Check if you have some derivation rule in place which dictates a business area.... Or try to create the same scenario again and check whats the business area...
In order to put a break point and check the derivation rule while posting billing document, use Function module KEDR_COPA_DERIVE.
Set DEBUG-SHOW_TRACE to 'X' in order to get a trace list at the end. I think you do this in your user id in SU01 parameters
Set DEBUG-BREAK_AT to the step number, say, 0035 if you want to analyze step no 35 of KEDR. The system will stop in the process loop for that step.

We like to use Consolidated Business Area for Financial Transaction in SAP.
We have defined Consolidated Business Area and Assigned required Business Area into the Consolidated Business Area.
Now the problem is how to use this consolidated Business Area in the Report? Basic purpose of this is to filter transactions on Consolidated Business Area in the Report.
Can anybody help me in this regard?
