Hi,
Is there a way to proxify Calendar Server as MMP with Messaging Server ?
Calendar Server 6.x
Best regards.

Note however that unlike Messaging Server, Calendar Server requires that the front-end and back-end be running the same version. This can cause complications during upgrades.

  • Sync ABAP Server Proxy - Attachment in Response possible ?

Hi I need to send an attachment in a synchronous ABAP Server Proxy.
    I proceeded as follows:
    1. design sync inbound interface in PI
    2. generate abap server proxy
    3. implement this abap proxy
    4. tried to attach file to response like this:
data server_context type ref to if_ws_server_context.
data attachment_prot type ref to if_wsprotocol_attachments.
data attachment          type ref to if_ai_attachment.
        data attachments         type prx_attach.
data lo_protocol         type ref to if_wsprotocol.
data lo_payload_protocol type ref to if_wsprotocol_payload.
        try.
            server_context = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context(
            attachment_prot ?= server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>attachments ).
            attachment = attachment_prot->get_attachment_from_binary(
                data       = lv_xdata
                type       = if_ai_attachment=>c_mimetype_pdf
                name       = 'my attachment'
            append attachment to attachments.
            attachment_prot->set_attachments( attachments ).
          catch cx_ai_system_fault .
            output-mt_get_documents_resp-fault-fault_text = 'cx_ai_system_fault'.
            output-mt_get_documents_resp-fault-fault_url = 'ERR001'.
        endtry.
However I cannot see any attachment in the response.
Q1: is it possible at all to create attachments in sync server abap proxy?
Q2: if it is, what is wrong with my coding?
    cheers
    simon:)

    Veronica,
Unfortunately, this was not possible, due to the system EHP state.
First after upgrade this functionality will be possible ( ECC 6.0 EHP5 - corresponding to NW AS EHP2 )
For an example, as Stefan pointed out, you might want to open OSS if your system is up-to-date and you need one.
    best regards
    Simon:)

  • Calendar Server user can not receive external invites

    Hi,
We have a MacPro running ML Server 10.8.5 with 10 user accounts using the calendar and file server services.
Calendar server is where the issue is. We have 10 + users that are set up to send and receive external invites in calendar server without a problem. Recently, one of the user accounts stopped receiving external invites. The problem began not long after I set up a second account for the same user for their shared calendars (they requested this so all shared cals were not on their iOS devices). Although I used a separate email, it was an alias of the first so may have caused a conflict / problem (?). I got rid of the second account with no change to the first.
The account still receives invites from the other internal user accounts and the other services such as file sharing are unaffected. There are no other problems with the functionality of that user, in calendar or otherwise.
I have tried changing the email associated with that user account and setting up a new test user account (in Server). The email invite will still not come through.
I have changed it back to the way it was originally.
    Summary
One of 10 user accounts does not receive external invites
    Was working until recently
The account can send invites to external addresses
Same email address will not work even when associated with a different account
I have included a large section of the calendar error log from the part that references the email address (in red) attached to the user account in question. Apologies, I am not familiar with deciphering this information. That is why I've come here.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks so much for your comment ~morgen.
Sorry, I should have mentioned, that it what my first thought so I tested by ensuring the email address associated with the user account (not hosted on the server but by Google Apps) is recieving all other mail.
    I have also tried:
    - Setting all accounts (calendar, email and contact card with associated email address) in another local user on a defferent Mac. So it's not a local user or Mail app issue.
    - Sending invites from different Calendar apps and email accounts - iCloud, Gmail (both using Apple Calendar and the web interface).
That's why I came back around to thinking it must be calendar server related. However is there is absolutly no conntact with the server with incoming email invites I must be looking in the wrong place (and the wrong forum - sorry!).
Does anyone have any ideas where I should be focusing my efforts?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Trinidad,
    Thanks for your help!!!
    1.
I didn't install EventSender and DIProxy yet, I tried first to upload and deploy the zip files, but I couldn't open the Itegration Application Explorer.
    2.
The jvm.dll file is in in the folder pointed by the logs: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\jdk1.5.0_xx_sap\jre\bin\server
and it is also in C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One Integration\jdk1.5.0_xx_sap_64\jre\bin\server
I tried running the file  java5w.exe, but I got an error message:
    Access is denied
Unable to open the service tomcat5
Thne I managed to open it by "rua as administrator".
the Java Virtual Machine path is points to the java 1.5 version folder.
Is it possible that the reason that the service can't start is related to administrator rigts??
In the properties in the Integration Service (services.msc):
It is set to be run with the local system account.
    all other properties looks fine.
in the properties of the tomcat5.exe (and tomcat5w.exe  , I tried both)
In the Compatibility tab I tried setting the flag "Run this program in compatibility mode for" to Vista, windows 7, and server 2008
I didn't have the option of Windows XP.
I have also set the Privilege level of: "Run this program as administrator" to true.
But still the service won't start.
    What can be the problem?
    What else can I check?
    Thanks a lot,
    Chana

  • ABAP client-to-server proxy through XI in same system

    Hello,
I have one XI system (NW70 SPS16) and 2 clients: 400 which is configured as Integration server and 500 which is application system.
In repository there are 2 messages interfaces, and in SPROXY of clnt 500 two classes are generated.
Is it possible to call server proxy from client one in XI system through XI Integration Engine? I tried it, but failed on receiver side (server proxy class). Here the message:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

Any sapnotes which described this error aren't helped, because they are outdated or mismatch my version.
So is it possible to use abap server proxy on XI side?

Your scenario is possible. As the error says, check the password on the receiver XI adapter.

  • Creation of Server Proxy for  Message interface with External Defination

    Dear All,
I am getting a problem while generating a server proxy for the inbound interface . The request message used in the inbound interface is a external definition which is uploaded using a XSD file. The XSD file was supplied by a third party which is having very high complex strucuture and used lot of abstract data types in the design. When i tried to generate the proxy in the R/3 system (Transaction SPROXY) for the inbound interface i am getting following error.
Interface uses external and internal message definitions
    Message no. SPRX122 *
    Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
Message types and fault message types edited in the Enterprise Services Repository
Messages imported into the Enterprise Services Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used. Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
    System Response
    The interface cannot be generated.
    Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Enterprise Services Repository.
Please guide me, how to generate the proxy for the interface with external defination message. I could nt geneate manullay, because it is having very high complexity and its a big structure.
Is there is any way to generate the proxy for interface with external definition
    Regards
    Vijayanand

    Hi,
    i.       Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
ii.       Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.
Check this, it may help you

  • Calendar Server/Convergence Issues

    Hi,
I recently managed to install Comm Suite 7 on Solaris x86_64 under a sparse zone; I'm really new to this.
    Calendar Server (CALDAV) 7u1 (7.1-1.11)
    Convergence 2 (2.0-0.06)
running glassfish 2.2.1 (open source edition)
Within convergence I have 2 issues:
    - Users can't click the 'New Event' button under the calendar view. Nothing appears, however if you navigate away from the page the browser warns that there are x forms left open for the x amount I clicked the new event button. Log files are not really telling me much
This issue only occurs on the default user calendar. When users create a new calendar and click the new event button, it works as expected.
    - Not all timezones are listed; I lack all the European ones although that are present in the timezoneids.txt file under the deployment
Anyone encountered this or could point our where to start looking? I've been poring over the massive documentation set on the wiki and following some troubleshooting guides but nothing really came out.

    Update:
This issue seems to be really down to timezones; I moved the file aside and created a new one just containing the one I want (Europe/Paris).
After that I switched all timezones (column wcaptzid) in the DB table CalProp to Europe/Paris and the convergence calendar behaves 'normal'
Still would be very interested in finding out how to look further into this and if possible work with more timezones than Europe/Paris :)

  • ABAP server proxy as web service provider ??

    Hi friends,
I am wondering that if is possible to expose an ABAP server proxy as a web service on NetWeaver ABAP. I tried that, but failed to call it.
I generated a ABAP server proxy by using the PI inbound interface. I can call the ABAP server proxy by PI. From SOAMANAGER of the beckend system, i saw that this just generated ABAP server proxy is a service. Then i curious if this generated ABAP server proxy can be exposed as the web service like other RFC function modules on the same beckend system. So i generated a ABAP client proxy by using the binding WSDL of the ABAP server proxy. But the testing of the generated ABAP client proxy failed.
So my question is if it is possible  to expose an ABAP server proxy as a web service on NetWeaver ABAP?
The beckend system is SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4. The PI is 7.11.
    Thanks!

In other words, is it possible to consume a server proxy by client proxy? If yes, how to consume it?

  • ABAP Server Proxy OR RFC - for attaching a file

    Hello ABAP gurus,
Just to give a brief background, systems involved are ERP and PI
Certain Files (3 files to be exact) are generated in the ERP directory/file system
I need to transfer these files to PI "without" using the readily available FTP/NFS adapters (this is a limitation - no use of direct FTP is allowed)
Making the directory as a "shared" directory between ERP and PI is also not an option.
With the scenario above, I though of using an RFC or an ABAP Server Proxy to attach the said files to send them to PI
Which is the better way to do it?
I've seen a documentation for the ABAP Server Proxy that makes it possible to attach files to the proxy message, but for RFC I don't know if this is possible?
Your expert advise is highly appreciated

    hI,
Use class CL_PROXY_CLIENT in the program and method IF_PROXY_CLIENT~EXECUTE.
You can refer documentation of this class as well as if you will search on any search portal using name of this class, you will get the briefe idea with the refernce procedure too.
Unfortunately I am unable to post you few links but try search on it, hopefully you will get it.

    Hi
Look into this blog where you have solutions for all Errors.
    /people/krishna.moorthyp/blog/2006/07/23/http-errors-in-xi
    Error: HTTP 403 Forbidden
Description: The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it
    Possible Tips:
    Path sap/xi/engine not active
    • HTTP 403 during cache refresh of the adapter framework - Refer SAP Note -751856
    • Because of Inactive Services in ICF –Go to SICF transaction and activate the services. Refer SAP Note -517484
    • Error in RWB/Message Monitoring- because of J2EE roles – Refer SAP Note -796726
    • Error in SOAP Adapter - "403 Forbidden" from the adapter's servlet. –Because of the URL is incorrect or the adapter is not correctly deployed.

  • Direct Connection ABAP Proxy and Java Proxy possible ????

    Hi Folks ,
As i read as direct connection possible between 2 SAP systems only ..
and also i read as WS Direct Connection u2013 (Java) ..
What it means ?? is it ABAP Proxy to Java Proxy using Direct connection ??  Like Java Client Proxy and ABAP Server proxy
I am not clear on this.. Could you please explain or help me on this . ??
    Siva..

    Hi ,
+You can do both for java proxies as well Abap proxies.+
    As per the following points
    1. Point-to-point connection is a new capability available with SAP NW PI 7.1. It allows applications or systems to send messages using WS-RM without going through a middleware, e.g. PI, but still using a centralized tool to design and
configure the interfaces and connection properties.
    2. SAP XI 3.0/PI 7.00 or higher releases can be licensed based on the total volume of messages in
gigabytes (GB) that is processed per month. The size of the payload is determined in the integration
server. The information is then aggregated according to sender and receiver system.
    Question :
    1. If Message exchange between 2 SAP applications using direct connection .. Then dont we need to consider about licencing cost for volume of messages per month ?
    2. So if i use ABAP Client Proxy to Java Server proxy  scenario.. can i use direct connection  ? Eg., SAP ECC to java application ?
In both the cases PI Runtime is not required  .. Am i right ?
    Please clarify..
    Siva..

  • Structuring complex ABAP server proxy

    Dear all,
I'd like to sub divide the logic of an inbound server proxy in ABAP. In a normal report, i would use a "perform" routine for that.
As far as i know, I can not create such routines in the execute_asychronous method of the proxy. So what is the best possibility to split that up? Creating a function module, that receices the data of the proxy and created the perform routines within that?
What is the best solution regarding maintainability and performence?
    Thanks and best regards
    Florian

    Hi,
Just add the methods to already existing proxy class :).
In my opinion that's the best solution and you stay in object oriented world with better type control and exception handling. Also you can utilize other global classes.
