Canceling Partially Shipped line items

We have a business scenario where an order line item is created.  Then it is partially shipped.  Finally it is canceled.  If the order is placed for a quantity of 10, 10 comes to BI via 2LIS_11VAITM.  Then 3 were shipped and finally the line item was canceled.  10 comes to BI via 2LIS_11VAITM  as being canceled.  But in this case we really want to consider 7 as being canceled since three were already shipped. I've challenged the procedure, but it looks like this will continue.  Does anyone have any input on how to model this, so that in BI I can see that 7 were canceled?
Thanks,
Chris

should be rather standard behavior to have the 7, unless the partial shipping and cancellation occur without an update towards BI first
it'll depend on your model, how the system will react to this... try it in QAS and see what's going on in the change log

  • Wrong process run partial settlement line item wise in KOB5

    Hi All,
I run the one process partial settlement line item wise in KOB5, But its run wrongly, Please give me suggestion for reveres the settlement for wrongly process it is possible OR not It very important issue.
    Regards,
    Seema

    Hi Seema,
KOB5 is just for distribution of line items, I assume you have done KOB5 as well as KO88.
if you want to do a reversal of KO88 then just click on settlement option on menu bar in KO88 transaction. it will take you to reverse that settlement.

  • Cancellation of 1 line item of miro

Hi I have done 1 miro which is of 6 line item . Out of which I want 5th line item to get miro reversal.
I tried going to miro & pressing copntrol + F10 I have entered the miro no.
But I see all the line items are selected and gray out. I am not able to deselect other line items.
How I can reverse only 1 item in MIRO then.

    Hi kiran,
In MIRO screen there is no reversal option for one line item and better to delete that line item by pressing delete(Blue coloured arrows) perticular line item before doing this Select the line item first. Before that you have to think about the GR parked how much pls check the difference will comes so other way to repark In MIR7 and GR enough.

  • SD-- WMS : DO line item is cancelled even after confirmed TO

    Hi All,
We are in ECC6. MM & SD linked to Full WMS.
    Process: SD-WMS: SO>DO>TO>Confirm TO>PGI -->Billing
Problem: User is able to cancel the DO line item  even after the TO is confirmed.
Issue: Warehouse picked the items  with TO from the bin  and it is confirmed  in the shipping area. But  SD-Shipping user  is cancelling the DO line item. System should not allow this. Is ther any config setup missing to  lock it?
    Thanks in advance.
    MBS

    Hi
Normally SAP does not allow to cancel confirmed transfer order. However, exception is transfer order for delivery.
If you are creating a delivery it is possible for you to remove the WM stock from the delivery with transaction LT0G. So it's nothing unusual.
    If useful, please award points.

  • Development Request - Edit UDFs on partially shipped MD lines

A client has built functionality around Line Item User Defined fields on Marketing Document Lines.  They enter values in UDFs on Sales Orders and Purchase Orders to notify customers and factories with information about the lines on remining open quantities.  For example, on a sales order, they have fields that contain estimated dates (other than delivery date) such as date to depart factory, date to domestic port, vessel name and Bill of Lading/Airway bill number.  They have some other fields that they use internally.
The problem occurs when the line partially ships.  They can't edit these UDFs.  Currently, in a patch later in 2005 SP1 (somewhere around PL37) Business One allowed the editing of the quantity and ship date on partially shipped lines, however, you still cannot edit UDFs on Partially shipped lines.  This breaks their design and there's really no reason for not being able to edit these lines.

  • Cancel/correct line items in delivery

    Hi All,
    Created order, delivery ang PGI.
created billing document and accounting document not cleared.
How to correct/cancel the delivery line items-
    What I know is-
    cancel billing doc-VF11
and then cancel PGI and change the Delivery items.
Please let me know is there any other way?

    Hello Ravi,
As far i know you should first cancel the invoice, then reverse the PGI, then delete the wrong delivery created and recreate a new delivery document.
Regarding the error "Cancellation of goods movement from decentr. systems is not possible", May be you need to check for the authorization of the user with BASIS guy and let me know if you able to resolve this issue.
    Thank you.

  • Idoc to uodate delivery date of line item on Purchase order

    Hi All,
Our vendor sends a delivery file consisting of delivery date and quantity(could be partial) for line items of a purchase order.
I need to update the Purchase order line item with the delivery date and quantity sent from the Vendor. It should add a new confirmation line with custom confirmation category in the confirmation tab of the line item in the Purchase order.
Each time we get a delivery file we need to add a new confirmation line in the confirmation tab of the purchase order line item.
How can I get this working using inbound idoc processing? Which Idoc type should I use to solve my issue. Will ORDERSP work for my scenario?
    Thank you in advance!
    Sonali.

    Hi,
I don't know about IDOCS, but since your vendor is not using EDI, but rather sends a file, you could right a small program to read the confirmations from the file, using the standard BAPI "BAPI_PO_CHANGE" to actually change the PO accordingly.

  • Unconfirmed Line items in Sales Orders in TP/VS

While doing TP/VS process and moving the shipments from C to D status, certain shipments do not move to D status due to the reason that there are unconfirmed line items in the orders and are not converted to deliveries, thus preventing shipment status from changing to D after we trigger u201COLTP Generation of Deliveriesu201D.
The shipments are assigned a truck type based on the items in B status but once we find that there are unconfirmed / partially confirmed line items, we unassign them from the shipments after u201Cundo shipment releaseu201D. This will lead to many cases where the truck type assigned becomes wrong due to the unassignment.
We want that such unconfirmed items should not come to APO at all or if they come, they should not be optimized during the run. How is this pssible?
    Sunil Madhogarhia

    Hi Sunil,
I don't think there is any straight forward way to do this. You may think of User Exit or enhancement in CIF. Other option is rather than just unassigning the deliveries, you can think of deleting the shipment and replanning the same so that system during next planning run automatically selects the appropriate vehicle type

  • Cancelation of partial line items in the MBST is not opening the delivery

    Hi Gurus,
We are posting the GR with 503 mvt type with ref to delivery. In this process when some of the line items have to be returned, we are posting MBST against those line items. To cancel / reverse the same in delivery using VL09, system (does not re-open those line items) is not allowing us to cancel partial line items. Instead the entire delivery is being cancelled.
The problem to cancel / reverse the entire delivery & material document is some of the line items are are already consumed.
When we cancel/reverse some of the line items using MBST and there by cancel the material documents, system does not allow us to cancel the particular deliveriesdoes not re-open those line items). When we cancel the entire delivery, the link between the original delivery and already consumed materials is lost.
I guess this is Standard SAP behaviour and some one would have encountered with a similar problem.
Request you to check and let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks / Sandeep

The MBST is cancellation of material documents or in other word you are cancelling the action whic were carried out earlier.
You might have noticed that when you are using MBST and entering input parameter as material documents system by default will carry all the infoermation which were there in that material documents.
I fyou weants to cancel part of material  you can do this in MIGO sereen and select the option of return delivery and saelect the line item which youw wish to send it back or return to vendor.
For partial returns you should always use MIGO, RETURN DELIVERY against MATERIAL DOCUMENT, put in the material document No. and then whichever line you want partially return, you enter the partial quantity and save the document.
    Hope this clear.

  • Drop ship line did not split, the material have partial receipts, can the PR and PO be canceled?

    hello,
I need some help with this issue. We have a drop ship line that have 270 cartons in status awaiting receipt, but in the inventory already received 624 cartons.  The line of that sales order needs to be closed now, to invoice the customer. But the PR and PO looks like OPEN.
I tried to manually split the line in the sales order. To have two lines; one with the 624 already received, and other one for the 96 cartons left. But an error message shows when i do this.
The error its :  You are not allowed to split Order Line because:Line is released to purchasing
I found in the ORDER ORGANIZER when i chek the Sales Order, the ORDER SOURSE LINE REFERENCE the last line (which suppose to be splitted with the reception of the material) have a number lower than the line before it.
    example: line 2.5 have OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL27231981  and line 2.4 OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL27232315
Can somebody help me with this?
i also found a bug in meta link but i think something can be done. bug 2281449.
    Thank you,
    Paloma Cadena

We had similar issues in the past. We solved them by doing a mini customization.
The customization created an short-text attachment of the type "Note to receiver" at the PR level. The attachment included the Sales order # and line#.
This attachment flows from the PR to PO and is also available to the receiving clerk during receipt.
However, once the PO is received, we did not transfer the information to onhand. I don't think one can unless the item was serialized or lot controlled.
    Hope this helps,

  • Partial cancellation of service entry line items (ML81N)

    Hi Sap Gurus,
Suppose 5 service lines in a PO, Passed service enrty sheet for all 5 services, done LIV for only 4 services. i wan cancel 1 service line which is passed already.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vinod

    Hi,
If all 5 services line item are include in single service entry sheet document, then you can't delete single service line item.
But your service entry sheet documents are different for all service line item then you can delete any one service entry sheet with ML81N.
Note: - Invoice documents is not generated against your service entry sheet documents.

  • Re: Printing Cancelled line items in the sales order on the packing slip

    Hi gurus,
Currently we have a unique requirement in our company. Our wholesale customers send the Purchase order to us via EDI. Now saw they have requested an order containing 10 materials out of which we can fulfill only 8. the other 2 due to some reasons cannot be fulfilled.
So the business wants to keep the other 2 line items to be entered in the sales order with a cancelled status.
Now correct me if I am wrong, only the confirmed line items will be copied from a sales order to a delivery document. So thats the reason why these cancelled line items cannot be printed on the packing slip.
However somehow the business wants the packing slip tp have the 2 line items printed on it with the reason of not being delivered. this is to facilitate the customer to know why those items couln't be fulfilled by our company. Now we cannot use a manual work-around of letting the customer know about the impossibility of not fulfilling the other 2 items as there are a lot of orders that come thru EDI per day.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this requirement asap.
    Thanks in advance
    Vinit

    Hi Vinit,
This requirement makes a lot of sense, that is to be able to inform your customer that some item(s) of the sales order could not be delivered, not even partially.
A possible solution would be to allow for zero quantity in the delivery item (check customizing and mark "zero quantity allowed" in the item category).
Then in the packing split, it would be easy to print the delivered quantity (0) and the sales order quantity (whatever it was), because you have the "null" item available in the delivery.
Personally I am not found of having have delivery items with zero quantity, but they are useful in that case, and they can also be useful to automatically "close" the sales order item (instead of having to do it manually if the goods can't be served).
Note: Usually in Consumer Goods, if you can't serve part of a sales order to a customer, you have to close it, because the Retailer's next Sales Order will include the remaining quantity.
    Hope it helps.

  • Line item Shipping data missing in STO

Hi, I am making an STO ( same company code ). I have added 4 line items in the STO.
For three line items, everything is ok. But when I added the fourth line item , the system gives an information message that sales org data and shipping data could not be found for the 4th line item.
And so I could not see the shipping data(consisting of delivery type, shipping point etc) tab for the 4th line item. For the first three items, the shipping tab exists.
The material for the 4th line item exists in both supplying and receiving plant and the material also exists in relevant sales org.
The outcome of the above issue is that the 4th line item is not copied to delivery with ref to STO !
Could any tell what is the config missing or what I need to do so that I have the shipping data for the 4th line item of the STO ?
    regards
