Cannot call a specific person on FaceTime?

I have had this problem the past few weeks. I cannot call a friend on FaceTime. It says it is connecting, but always fails. I tried creating a new contact with her info, but no luck. Calling anyone else in my contacts works perfectly. As far as I can tell it's just her.
I have an iPhone 4s and an running iOS7. Please help.

If you are having issues with your iPhone apparently adding FaceTime calls to your Recent Calls list when it should not, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

Cannot chat with specific person

Everything works fine except that I can't chat with one specific buddy. I can chat with other buddies, but every time I click this one buddy, the chat box does not appear. He can send me messages and I will hear the notification and in the dock his name will show up, but there will be no chat box to see or type into.
I've searched for solutions, but could not find any similar problems.
He is not blocked and everything is up to date on my computer.
I've also re-installed the applications with my CD and it did not work either.
Any suggestions please?

Welcome to the  Discussions
With iChat Open go to the window Menu.
At the Bottom of the list is there a Chat listed ?
If so the options are:-
You once had a second display connected and that Window is on the "second" screen.
You are using Spaces and that Window is in another Space.
The System Preferences > Displays allows you to Turn On Mirroring or Gather to get Off Screen items back to the current Screen/Display.
I would also check System Preferences > Expose/Spaces and make sure it is Off for a while to get the Window/Chat that is "missing".
iChat by default remembers where the Windows are.
Using a Red Blob button on a Buddy List does not Quit the App it only "Hides" the window/List.
When you restart iChat in that situation it will Remember it is not in view. (Click the item in the Window Menu or use the Keystrokes listed to get it Back)
Incoming Invites have default posistions that you cannot change.
However if the Chat was left on another screen/Display iChat will keep the Chat there as you did not close the Chat before quitting iChat (Like the Buddy List thing above).

When making a cellular call the other person cannot hear me. FaceTime + Skype Work OK!

Hi Guys,
I have an iPhone 4 (non 'S') 16GB Black.
I have the most strangest problem I've ever had on iPhone (I've had every gen so far).
Here is the problem:
I make a standard cellular call and the other person is not able to hear me. If I make a FaceTime call though, the person can hear me no problem. I tried Skype too and that is OK also. So I know the microphone works, just not over cellular network.
I tried the sim in another iPhone I have access to. (iPhone 4S) and calls work fine on that one. So I know it's not a network issue.
I'm absolutely stumped by this issue.
I have tried the following:
Backing up my phone, entering DFU and re-setting back to factory, then restored from backup. It worked for a little while (maybe a week?) then the problem happened again.
I backed up my phone again and did the DFU reset but instead of restoring from backup, I ran with a vanilla phone for a while - this time it didn't last 2 days before it went silent again.
I have since DFU'd and Restored my phone 3 more times again but it has not cleared the issue this time - the problem is now constant it seems.
Over the past 3 months, I have restored, reset my phone to get rid of the problem many times, each time with different results. Sometimes it works for a while, other times it doesn't fix the problem.
It sounds hardware related but I keep coming back to the thought of "well if it works in FaceTime, it can't be hardware". But if it's not hardware, what is it?
Any help on this one is very much appreciated.

Hold down the power and home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. If it does not after more than 30 seconds, you'll have to take it to the Apple store.

Facetime cannot call my contacts after upgrading to iOS 8

Is getting frustrated that he cannot call any of his friends on Facetime after upgrading to iOS 8.
We have reset all his settings, gone through the 11 troubleshooting steps here:

What exactly happens when you try to call someone with FT? Error message?

Hi - it depends on how old your iPhone is. Is it fairly new or if its less than 28 days old you can bring it back to the store if bought through one of the common networks. I had an earpiece problem when I bought mine after just 10 days or so, I couldn't hear anyone through the earpiece and exchanged in store for Free.

Cannot Call Out to Specific Phone Number

I am not able to call out to a specific phone number from the iPhone.
I am able to call this specific phone number from different sources. ie. Another cell phone, lan line, work, etc...
Any clues on why just a specific phone number cannot be made to?
When I try to call, I always get 2 beep sounds only and says the Call Ended.
I get no Dial tone when I call also.

It could be that somehow they blocked my cell phone number.
But, I do not believe so.

Cannot not video chat with one specific person

When I attempt to video chat with only one specific person with my macbook pro to their mbp, the audio comes through but the video freezes, lags and is extremely pixelated. We have attempted to connect from various different wi-fi connections, even trying it from the same one in the same house and nothing. When connecting to various other people it works fine. The strangest part is when I use Skype video chat it works fine. What can it possibly be? It drives me nuts!!!

If either of you is using Leopard and iChat 4 then go to System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming and set the speed to 1.5Mbps and then Restart iChat (this option is not in Snow Leopard)
In all cases go to iChat menu > Preferences > Video section and set the Bandwidth Limit to 600kbps

I can not text to one specific person. Everything else works fine.

I am looking in other post, some others have the same problem but I haven't seen any solutions! I have try everything it has been suggested to others like delete the contact etc. but nothing . I can not sent text msg to this person.

If you click on the person's name, you go to the public profile they have posted. If there is an email address given you can email directly. If not, you cannot email the person directly.
You could post a reply to the persons reply on the communities to note their help.

I am not able to text one specific person.. seems i can sporadically recieve their text but they are not recieving mine. I have looked at several forms and tried several things.. some forms suggesting a problem with the carrier. Has anyone on Koodoo ?

I am not able to text one specific person on my iphone 4. They an sporadically send but she is not recieving my message. I have read several forums and tried several things.. resetting etc... to no avail.. someone mentioned this may be the network. can anyone help? the phone also say it is ready to install update to ios 7.0.6 which provides a fix for ssl connection verification. then it indicates cannot be installd bcause it requires at least 3.7 GB of storage. So i have deleted some things and pretty sure I have enough GB but still reading the same message. OMGosh .. so frustrated.. especially wtih the texting.

I am having unbelievable problems & one person is trying to help me. One way is to refer me to another's post/site.
Is there any way that I can directly contact that person to get the "straight" of it all? I am "ignorant" of many of the names & processes required to "fix my macbook" & it is multiple problems that won't allow me to do what is on his page.

I think that I will be able to contact the guy who wrote the "How to Un-Install MacKeeper, but my issues are bigger than that.
I am sorry that the above is so long when you get to it, but I am having so many problems & cannot find any resolution.
Stupidly... Ignorantly downloaded MacKeeper, which everyone says to UN-INSTALL ASAP.... but I can't seem to do that in that I have other issues & don't want to lose all of my info.
TIme Machine just recently said, "NOT configured", so can't back up my info. I have tried everything that I know to do. It is in the top & in my Applications, but when I turn it ON, it goes to Time Capsule, which I don't have. I have 2 external HD's, MyBooks. One I use only for Time Machine. I plug it in & hear & feel it running but it does not show up on my desktop & is NOT connected to my Time Machine. When I hit "ON", it opens up an EMPTY window to set up Time Capsule, which I do NOT have... nothing listed in the window! When I close that window, Time Machine goes to "OFF" position.
Also, get "Browse over Time Machine Disks" when I click the icon at the top---> EMPTY WINDOW!
Another option was to go to Finder-->Applications-->Disk Utility--> and External HD should show up in the upper left hand corner under the Hard disk icons... & it DID. Changed USB cord( From 2nd MyBook that I bought for STORAGE... now NOT there??.....Just changed power cord from 2nd to 1st & it is there again.
The first time that I did that, it was there, but all the repair/check/permission options were greyed out, so could not do anything. Now they are there, so will try to see what happens. Trying Disk Repair. Will let you know later how that turns out. (I am pretty sure, based on all my efforts over the past weeks that nothing will be fixed.
OS Disk still showing up in the left hand corner from the other day & it has been ejected & removed, NOT there? Why would that be?
Hope you can be of some help. I avoid my Mac for days, feeling like I am going into the "black place" again, so if I don't reply in a timely manner, know that there are reasons. I am overwhelmed with too many issues to deal with & not a sole to help me.
