CCM and BW
Dear all,
We are using CCM 2.0, SRM 5.0 and BW 7.0 all in the same server.
BW is able to fetch data from EBP for reporting.
How do we make it possible for BW to fetch data from CCM too?
Is there any transparent table of CCM which can be mentioned as the data source for BW reporting?

Abhishek: CCM 3.0 was supposed to have standard BW integration. As it stands, with 2.0 something custom has to be done.
You may find helpful:
- CCM tables: start with /CCM/*.
- view /CCM/V_SUPPL_ITM "Supplier Product (View for BW Extraction)".
- report /CCM/VERIFY_CATALOG: returns various catalog statistics.

I do have some doubts regarding CCMS and PMI monitoring..
As of now we are plannig to configure CCMS.But i want to know about PMI.. when it comes to the picture in monitoring.
How PMI is different from CCMS ? and which one is the better option to monitor

Hello Experts, We have a strange situation in one of our's environment. On one of our child primaries Reporting to a Central, Despool.log,smsexec,hman,sitectrl,ccm and a bunch of other logs are not updating. The last timestamp on these logs

Until last month regular stuff like software distribution (package replication), Patching, processing of state msgs and almost everything else was working fine, it was this month that we came across some issues with replicating of packages and took a look at
the various logs and found this. Distmgr, Sender, schedule, replmgr.log still moves. We have tried manually exchanging keys, restarted the components, verified that the computer account
is added to the Site to SiteConnection group and Site to Site Server Connection Group and on the Central server and vice versa. Computer Account has access to the Systems management container and site information is published. Re-doing
the site is not an ideal option for us. Can someone throw some light on what might be causing this?Guys,
Got the solution to this. It happened to be the value of the key 'Enabled' on the location below for the specific
components, which had a Value Data '0' " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SMS\Tracing"
. On changing the value to 1 and restarting the SMS services. The logs went live! -
CCM and CMC suddenly disagree about a specific server's state

My version is XI R2 SP1, with 3 windows hosts :
H1 for CMS
H2 for tomcat
H3 for all other servers, like report and job servers
My platform works mainly properly, but from time to time, CMC shows the webi report servers as red.
It becomes impossible to view reports thru infoview ("could not initialize report engine server (Error RWI 00226) (error : INF)")
Yet, CCM and windows service manager on H3 still say that this service is up.
Each time this happen, event viewer on H1 shows this warning : "Unable to contact server H3.Web_IntelligenceReportServer.webiserver to change its enabled status. Please restart it."
I haven't seen any other message at the same time elsewhere.
It looks like as if the CMS suddenly lost the real state of this server.
Starting it again thru CMC is also impossible : it says "service has already the state requested", which is true... But CMC still shows it as red.
The only way to solve this is to stop/start the service thru CCM.
It always works, but it's a manual operation, and I would like to fix this so that user never have "INF" errors...
Has anybody an idea ?

i saw this behavior also a few times. Mainly on Platforms with an very old SP status like yours (SP1). The latest SP for XIR2 is SP5.
Maybe you try to upgrade to SP5 on your dev. environment first to check if all still works and your Problem is also solved.

This question probably was asked many times, but I'm still not able to figure out how to setup a SIP trunk between CCM (v.4.1) and CME. I read all articles about IP-to-IP SIP protocol, played around with different setting, but no luck. Can you point me to the right direction? Example configuration will be very helpful. Basically I need to make calls between 4 digits extensions between offices and to route OffNet calls.

Thank you for your help. I was able to create the trunk and I'm able to make calls between CCM and CCME.
Here is my config:
SIP trunk on CCME router:

The Trunk on CCM is simple:
- Call Classification - OnNet;

- significant digits - 4;

I am very new to CCMS. We are developing a java web application around CCMS and displaying SAP CCMS data in well defined and organized manner mainly suitable and useful for non-sap users.
To fetch data from SAP CCMS monitors we are using system BAPIs.
My question : - Is there any reporting tool or section inside CCMS? we need to display reports in our application. Or is there any alternative ??

Video conferencing between CCM and CCME
Hi,
We are having CCM4.1(3)at central location.In branch location we are having CCME 4.0(2).Both the locations are connected through leased circuit. We enabled Video on IP Phone which is registered to CCM and also we configured CCME for video. When we start doing video conferencing between these two location, it's not happenning. In VT advantage it is showing local image on Local & Remote screen. I don't know what is the problem.
Can you guys please tell me wheather Video Conferencing will work between CCM & CCME over the leased circuit using VT Advantage.
If it works, please tell me what are configuration parameters i need to configure on CCM & CCME.
Thanks & RegardsBy default all IP traffic is permitted through a VPN tunnel except broadcast and multicast traffic. It basically is a matter of how the video software you are using works. If it is a multicast application then it will not work through an ipsec tunnel, if it is a unicast application then it should be able to work.
Also if this video is on the Internet tries to enable split tunnel on the VPN endpoint. Now if the issue is with a video that is on the PC, this might be because a software corruption of the OS, so try reinstalling the VPN Client software -
Handling error in XI with CCMS and Alert Monitor

I have configured the CCMS for handling XI error and use the auto-reaction method CCMS_Send_Alert_to_ALM for sending an alert when i have for exemple a mapping error.
The issues are :
1) When an alert is catched I can send an email or having a notification in the alertinbox but not the both.
2) When an alert is catched in the CCMS, this alert is in an active status and i can't receive a second alert if another error occurs in XI until i have completed manually the first alert. Is it possible to complet this alert automatically or having more than one alert active for the same node in the CCMS ?

The alerts are displayed to the recipient in one of the following programs:
.In the Universal Work List (UWL of the Enterprise Portal) as of SAP NetWeaver 04
· In an application that accesses the alerts using an API
· In the Alert Inbox. The Alert Inbox is an application based on Business Server Pages (BSP),which can be called using the transaction ALRTINBOX or the corresponding URL
(http:///sap/bc/bsp/sap/alertinbox).
There are also a number of external communication methods available. You can configure these in SAPconnect (transaction SCOT) and use them in addition to inform the recipient of an alert about the problem: Internet mail, SMS, and fax.

In my network there are an cisco call manager and cisco gatekeeper.I added the gatekeeper on a CCM bacause of IP Phones can call ATA end points.I finished this task succesfully but there are a problem . When I call from IP phone to ATA endpoints I can not hear ringback tone but If I call from ATA end point to IP Phone I hear ringback tone . Please give me advice
You don't need a Gatekeeper for ATA. ATAs are commonly SCCP or SIP devices, these have no use of a GK. Only H.323 devices can make use of a GK.

We have Inxight SDX Admin Server already installed and it has it's own Apache. We installed Tomcat 5.5.20 seperately and BOE XI 3.1. It tried to point to the Inxight Apache and the CCM won't start the Tomcat. How can we repoint the CCM Tomcat to the newly installed Tomcat that works?
We have a tried a similar approach with Crystal Reports Server 2008, installing it side by side a previous version of CR. I'm not sure how BOE XI 3.1 works, but is TOMCAT installed and configured within the installer app of BOE XI? In our case it was. I went ahead and uninstalled CRS2008 and reinstalled, making sure on the install setup to have TOMCAT point to a different port than our previous installation did. This allowed CRSXI to access a previous version of TOMCAT configure for port X, and CRS2008 to access the newest version of TOMCAT on port Y.

The senario you want in MasterDataInclusionInCaralogOnWAS700 (or 640 dependant).
Once the material have been replicated from R3 you run transaction BP_CCM_TRANSFER to transfer these to CCM. This then goes through XI into your CCM catalog, and in need you can publish these automatically.

I connected a system via CCMS Agent against or Solution Manager and wanted to configure RZ20 but I cannot see any data delivered for MTE Node Space Management on DB2. What can be the reason? Is there additional doing necessary? I don't have experience with DB2 because I'm a Oracle-Guy and there it works well after connecting a system.Hey thanks for answering. That's right I embedded these MTE-Classes in my custom monitor set but here and in the standard templates all MTE's are grey. The data is missing. What I don't know is if there's maybe an collecting method that I have to activate before.

We have both ABAP (NSP) and J2EE (J2E) sneak preview installed on a common laptop.
In setting up CCMS tests using NSP as the CEN system, we got a failure when registereing J2E as a monitored system from the Visual Administrator.
The error occurs because an RFC (SALS_GET_LOCAL_MS_INFO) fails when calling NSP. The message is "cannot get version".
This makes me wonder if such CCMS testing is valid with the sneak preview version.
Anybody get CCMS monitoring working between the ABAP and J2EE sneak preview version?
