Changing cost assignment after posting advance

Hi Friends,
I have a problem;
I create a travel request (TRIP) with some advance request
Cost is charged to Cost center 100%
Settle the request, post the adance(PRFI, PRRW)
Enter expenses,
Change cost assignment to WBS element in PR05
Post the trip
it posts to same cost center, not to WBS element
Please note that i post the trip in accounts depending upon activity type. For WBS, we have different account
If there was no advance posted, the WBS change takes place correctly.
any solution please!
Thanks and regards!

Hi,
Till you create an expense report you will be able to change cost assignment, but once expenses is created no changes can be made to the cost assignment.
And also, while posting you can change the cost assignment either from cost center --> cost center or WBS --> WBS and not vice versa.
Hope this helps.

S.Srikanth

  • Cannot able to assign Operation number for Order for Change cost assignment in Travel

    All dear Gurus,
During the creation of travel request in NWBC suppose if an employee opted to change cost assignment. And he selected order from Accounting Object and given an order. He is not able to select it because he is getting an error when he click on Accept.
The error is " Order 1000000160 requires assignment to an operation number "
In ECC we have an option called Enhance Cost assignment through which we can choose the operation number. But no such option is available in NWBC.
Kindly help me to solve the issue.

  • Can we change the cost element after posted some expenditures.

    Hi friends,
My client ran the depreciation upto jan 2009, afterthat we found the depreciation GL's are not set the cost element.
so the Depreciation values were not posted cost center wise, now we want to change the GL's cost element , is it possible, if it is possible what is the steps.

    Yes,
You can create cost element and interface depreciation posting to CO. For missed Depreciation, manual posting in CO can help to reconcile with FI.

  • Change account assignment for posting key-urgent

    Dear expert,
please advice, when running mb30, in accounting doc for material xxx we want to change account for posting key 91 with other account since the old one is blocked. How to change this account assignment then?
    Thank you

    Hi
I am not sure whether MB30 Tcode exist. anyways, if you are sure of the Movement type with which your document is getting posted, then you can get the details of the Transaction in the OMWN. In OMWN please select the Movement type and you will see all the Tr Keys.
Or you can get into OMWB and select Simulation. Give the material, plant and movemnet type and then select the account assignments you will have all the information.

  • Change cost assignment (cost center) in confirmation with badi?

    Dear experts,
for a certain request, we want to implement logic that will clear out the cost center when creating or saving the confirmation.
We have tried the DOC_CHANGE BADI but this does not seem to do the trick. following code:
    LOOP AT acct_data into ls_acct_data.
        IF ls_acct_data-acc_cat EQ 'OR'.
          CLEAR ls_acct_data-cost_ctr.
        ENDIF.
        MODIFY acct_data from ls_acct_data.
    ENDLOOP.
    ET_ACC[] = acct_data
Is my code wrong, or should i use another badi?
    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi,
I have tried the following but does not seem to change anything:
    Loop at IT_ACC into ls_acct_data.
      If ls_acct_data-acc_cat EQ 'OR'.
        CLEAR ls_acct_data-cost_ctr.
      Endif.
      MODIFY it_acc from ls_acct_data transporting acc_cat.
      Endloop.
Also with the following method, it is not changing the account assignment. I am in doubt that this badi could actually change the account assignment on confirmation?
    Loop at IT_ACC into ls_acct_data.
        If ls_acct_data-acc_cat EQ 'OR'.
          CLEAR ls_acct_data-cost_ctr.
          Append ls_acct_data TO lt_acc.
        Endif.
      Endloop.
      ET_ACC[] = lt_acc.

  • No changes in trips after posting

    Hi,
System allows to change details in trips even after it has been posted t FI. Is there any way to control that no change can be made to a trip after it has been posted?
    Regards
    Yashika

    hi Yashika,
You can achieve it by limiting the authorization. Just go into the role maintenance using the tcode PFCG. Change the authorization profile by the object P_TRAVL (travel expense) on the field name AUTHF (operation and "old status")
maintain as you wish according to the code as provided by SAP below:
(in your case, don;t select *, NOR give the user the authorization for W24, W44,  or D24, W44)
You can define the characteristics for the operation and the status of a trip during single entry in the AUTHF field.
The field is three characters long. The first character is for the relevant operation, the second for the status of the travel request and the third for the accounting status of the relevant trip.
The first character can be any of the following:
    R ... read trip data
W ... write trip data (create, change, copy)
    D ... delete trip data
    X ... account trip data
    S ... Evaluate statistics database
    ... all operations.
The second character (request status) can be:
_ ... new trip (characteristic blank)
    1 ... request
    2 ... request approved
    3 ... trip
    4 ... trip approved
    5 ... request on hold
    6 ... trip on hold
    ... all statuses
The third character (accounting status) can be:
_ ... new trip (characteristic blank)
    0 ... open
    1 ... to be accounted
    2 ... accounted
    3 ... cancelled
4 ... posted (FI or Payroll Accounting or DME)
    ... all statuses.
    Examples of characteristics for AUTHF:
R41 Read an approved trip which is to be accounted.
    W   Create a new trip.
W22 Change an approved request which has been accounted
    D1* Delete request
X41 Account an approved trip which is to be accounted.
S*  Display statistics for all trips
    Cheers

  • Change cost planning after copying to different CO version

    Hi,
I have done network cost planning through project builder, after completing this I copied my cost planning to different CO version. Now I'm not able to change values of second CO version. I can see the figures in reports, but not able to change using CJR2 or CJ40 transactions.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Full authorization is provided to the user, and the required fiscal year too is configured in second CO version. This is not solved the problem!
If my understanding is correct, only version 0 can have network costing, all others will have either cost element based or WBS element based cost planning.
Now, when a network costing is copied to another CO version, the destination version can't hold cost planning in the form of network costing then what type costing second version would be having and how one can modify the value and quantity in that version?
    Thanks

  • Cost assignement using infotype 2003

    Hello,
How can I change cost assignement using Infotype 2003.
I have created the infotype 2003 with the ney cost center, and table  C1 is generated in the time evaluation, but in payroll the cost center is still the master cost center of IT0001.
How can I change the cost center using infotype 2003 and transfered to the payroll?
    thx.
    Enrique

    Thanks Santhosh for the answer.
So I can understand that the cost center will not be changed from IT2003 for the payroll, it only be changed if change in IT0001 or IT0027. true?
Why IT2003 have the option to change cost assignment?
I was doing some tests and could see that if a time wage type (for example an attendance) is generated in the same period of the IT2003 these wage type is transfered to the payroll with the new cost assignment . Is it the standard behavoir of the IT2003?
The only way to change the cost assignment for all the payroll (instead of IT0001) for a period is using IT0001 or IT0027?
    thanks,
    Enrique

  • Changing Account assignment reference after posting flows to accounting

    Hi All,
Is there a way for me to change the account assignment reference after I posted some flows in the past for a interest rate financial instrument?
I need this because accounting wants to change the GL account posting for legal fees from one GL to another when a long term debt changes to a short term debt (less than a year away from maturity).  I was assuming that changing the account assignment reference in TPM28 would work.  Is this true?  I do not want to transfer any of the old postings but anything moving forward.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Morgan

    Hi Ravi/Mahesh/Lorenz
The issue is I can do valuation class transfer for securities or loans (TPM15).  But I have my long term debt in the money market area (Interest rate instrument with product category 550).  I have assigned company code, transaction type, product type to determine the account assignment reference.  So I am not able to do a valuation class transfer I think.  Is there any other way?
I tried to access TPM82 & TPM15M & it says 'Function not allowed'. We are on Ehp5.0.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks
    Regards

  • Depreciation Posting after changing cost center in Asset

    Hi,
I have posted the depreciation  from period 01 to period 03 and changed the cost center in the asset (before posting dep for period 4) but effective from period 1 and did a re-run for period 3 but there is no posting, as I expecting the system to reverse the entry for period 3 from old cost center and post to new cost center.
Please let know whether this is standard behaviour of SAP. We are in ECC6.
    Thanks
    VS

    Hi,
do you have "Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units" active?
    CU: FI-A
    - > Master Data
      - > Specify Time-Independent Management of Organiz. Units
    Please see the F1 Help:
"...Any change to these organizational units during master data maintenance then automatically generates a transfer posting document...:"

  • SRM Account Assignment - Change in PO after Invoice

    Experts,
I am currently running and SRM 5.0 system using extended classic.
Sometimes, it is necessary to change the account assignment on a PO after a partial invoice has posted so that the new account assignment will be applied to future invoices.  This is allowed in ECC, but the fields are grayed-out and unchangeable in SRM.  Any ideas on how to correct this?
    Thanks,
    Kris

    Hello Kris!
Unfortunately, this is a standard behaviour from SRM. Cost assignment changes are allowed or not if this is customizable in the beckend.
If you like to change account assignment, follow-on documents mus be cancelled firstly.
    Best Regards,
    Denise Zanuz

  • Delete Cost Element after Plan data posted

A user created Cost Elements in error and posted fiscal 2010 Plan data, however the business users wish to track these particular accounts by profit center, not by cost center.  We'd like to delete the cost elements so users will not be prompted for cost center when posting to these accounts.
But even after reversing the plan data, we are not permitted to delete these cost elements with KA04, - hard error cites records existing in Table COSP.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Yes, you can't shorten the validity to exclude the posting data from the system, even though you made the balance zero by posting off-setting entries to that particular cost element.
Yes, shortening the validity works the same way as deletion.
    Hope this helps.

  • Changing cost of posted inventory

    Hi all,
Is there a way to change the price on posted inventory?
I was putting in initial inventory and noticed I made a mistake when entering the cost after I already posted the inventory.
So now my G/L account is off and so is my GP.
    Thank for the help.
    2007A B1
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew......
You should go for Inventory Revaluation.
Just go to Inventory>Inventory Transactions> Inventory Revaluation.
Select the items and change the current price to new price. This will change or update your existing price......
Try once in Demo DB first......

  • Cost Assignment Change on Header Level

    This User changed the cost assignment at the top level to an internal order;
however, it did not apply to one of the hotel charges.
The other charge on the same date for the same vendor did change.
What caused the one transaction to remain with a cost center instead of internal order?
It was our understanding if the User changed the cost assignment at the top level it would be applied to all transactions in the report.  Is this not correct?

Got the Solution from Development Colleagues:
If a traveler change the cost assignment from cost object A to cost object B at the top level of an expense report, then all expenses which are assigned to the cost object A at change moment(!) should get the new cost assignment to cost object B.
All expenses which are assigned to a different cost objects as A will be not changed!
    Example 1:
Step 1. Traveler created an expense report with the cost assignment to cost center A
Step 2. Traveler added 3 expenses
=> Expected result: all 3 expenses should get the assignment to the cost center A
Step 3. Now traveler changed the cost assignment on top level of the meeting request to the project B
=> Expected result: all 3 expenses should get the assignment to the project B
    Example 2:
Step 1. Traveler created an expense report with the cost assignment to cost center A
Step 2. Traveler added 3 expenses
=> Expected result: all 3 expenses should get the assignment to the cost center A
Step 3. Traveler changed manually the cost assignment of one expense to internal
    order D
=> Expected result: 2 expenses are assigned to the cost center A and one expense is assigned to the internal order D (because of manually change!)
Step 4. Now the traveler changed the cost assignment on top level of meeting request from the cost center A to project B
=> Expected result: only 2 expenses which were assigned to the project A are now assigned to the project B, the one expense which was assigned to the internal order D should be still assigned to the internal order D (it is not assigned to the cost center A and therefore not affected by the change from cost center A to project B).
