Configure Role of Business System " as Central Integration Server , PI

Hi Experts,
I am running transaction code IDX5 in my xi system it is showing as "system is not a central integration server unable to start the program ".In SXMB_ADM role of business system need to configured .If we need to configure how to do this .
Regards
Praveen

Hi Praveen,
For configuration of integration server please go to SXMB_ADM>In configuration choose Integration engine configuration->And add one runtime parameter IS_URL...and specify the role  of business system as  Integration server and specify the corresponding Integration server i.e dest://httpdestination. This destination is RFC destination that should be created in PI sytem of type 'H 'which contains the target host as host name of PI system and path prefix as  '/sap/xi/engine?type=entry'.

  • Problem by Maintaining a Business System for the Integration Server

    Hi to all,
I have the following problem. I tried to change some Business systems configuration in SLD but accidentally deleted defined Business System for our Integration Server. After that I tried to create that business system again but I have the following error:
Integration Server already defined. There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System.
Since than I’m receiving the following error message when I try to refresh my adapter engine cache:
com.sap.aii.ib.server.abapcache.CacheRefreshException: Unable to find an associated SLD element
Do you know how can I define the Business System again currently I can't see it in SLD Business systems?
I’ve also checked the IS URL (TR: SXMB_MONI) and it seems that it’s ok.
    Regards
    Naycho

    Hi Naycho,
i think you have to clean up some sld rubbish
Go to SLD / Administration / Content Maintenance. Choose left side "all classes" or "landscape description" and right side  "business system". Delete all entries you find for your business system, after that try to recreate it.

  • SLD:  recreate deleted Business System of type Integration Server

    Hi,
accidentally i deletet the business system of type "Integration Server" in the SLD. And i can't recreate it. It always says:
"Integration Server already defined There is already an integration server defined for the selected technical system. Please select role Application System."
Any ideas to create such a business system?
The old one isn't there in the list, after i deleted it.
    regards,
    ms

    Hi,
If you change/delete the host name of the Integration Server after the installation in either the SLD or the exchange profile, you must adjust it accordingly in the exchange profile or the SLD, respectively

I want to do the HTTP Connection for ABAP Proxy for this two XI system with one business Sytem ?
Is this possible ?Is there any work around solution there?
    Thanks.

    Hi
Can anybody tell what is the criteria on which we decide whether a business system to be created in the sld should be of type Integration Server or Application System .
And also can we have only one  Business system of the type integration server in the sld ?
Can anyone please explain the concept behind this.
    Thanks

    hi,
steps to create a business system
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/flatFILETOFLATFILE&
If there is no business system for integration server, that means the post installation steps are not completed or someone messed with the business system for integration server.
To define a business system, follow post installation steps from install guide.
    http://service.sap.com/instguides
    SAP NetWeaver -> Release 04 -> Installation -> SAP XI -> Installation Guide - SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0 SR1 follow page 38
If you do not have integration server, that means your XI will not work.

  • No role for business system defined in SXMS_CONF_ITEMS

    Hi Experts.
I have the following problem. We were set up the XI in our company and now we are trying to configure and run it propertly. We had some problems so far and now there is the next one: I configured the simple scenario FILE-XI-FILE but it doesn't work <b>:(</b>. Every step from the scenario was completed successfully (after some problems) but when I have started runtime Workbench (RWB) in order to monitor the functionality of XI and I choosed <b>Component Monitoring | Components | Integration Server | Integration Engine GPI</b> I see that I have an error in Self-Test Status | <b>Are roles in SXML_CONF_ITEMS and SLD consistent</b>? In detail it's <b>No role for business system defined in SXMS_CONF_ITEMS</b>. My business and technical systems look to be well configured but now I'm hopeless because I can't find nothing more specific about <b>SXMS_CONF_ITEMS</b> table. I tried some notes and threads from the forum but nothing helped me after all. So please help if someone has an experience with something similar. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
    Ondrej

    Hi,
The role of a business system is defined centrally in the SLD. However, you can overwrite this setting locally in the table SXMS_CONF_ITEMS.
This test checks whether the role descriptions are consistent. If not, the locally defined role is used at runtime.
Check in transaction SXMB_ADM -> integration engine configuration a parameter (Corresponding Integ. Server) if all parameters are correct n not lost.

  • Configuration URL in Business system

    Hi Experts,
    Question 1
I am creating Business system for ecc of  type Web as ABAP in PI 7.3 and in second step i have provided all technical system details and there is field called configuration URL. What information I ahve to fill here. When i clicked on Info button it displayed the following content
" URL of the selected technical system. This can be any application server or web dispatcher URL.
It is used to distribute central web service configuration data to the backend system.http://HOST:PORT"
Please tell me where can I find this URL.
    Question 2.
We upgraded the XI 3.0 to PI 7.3 system. We already have existing SAP system(ECC, APO, CRM Etc.). I am trying to change the Related Integration Server of Business systems of Type Web as ABAP to another Related Integration Server, the system is throwing below error.
This error is throwned because we have not maintained Configuration URL in Business system.
Please let me know how to over come this problem.

  • Registration of Business system for the Integration Engine Java in the SLD issue

    Hi,
We have completed the installation of PI-AEX 7.4 SR1 then we ran the below wizards successfully.
    - Configuration Wizard: PI-AEX initial setup
    - Configuration Wizard: PI Self Test for AEX
However when we were Checking the AEX Configuration as per help.sap.com
Check the registration of a business system for the Integration Engine Java in the SLD:
        Enter https://<host>:<port>/sld .
Choose Start of the navigation path Business System Next navigation step Integration Engine Java <SID> Next navigation step Integration End of the navigation path.
The pipeline URL must be: http://<host_fully_qualified>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?ximessage=true .
    More information: SAP Note 1435392
for us the Pipeline URL is as below
    http://<host_fully_qualified>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet
and the rest " ?ximessage=true "  is not there.
Also we ran the below wizard
Configuration Wizard: PI Self Test for AEX
and it finished successfully without any issue.
Any Suggestions what could be missing.
    Thanks,
    Regard
    Ahmed Mohammed

    Hi,
I found the below SAPNOTE which confirms that the Pipeline URL should be
    http://<host_fully_qualified>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet
1564449 - PI CTC Wrong Pipeline Url after AEX Initial Setup
However on help.sap.com it is different.
Any one experienced the same ?

  • System Landscape : Corresponding Integration server not maintained

    Hi Guys,
In ECC, SXMB_ADM - > Integration Engine Configuration
    Edit ->Change Global Configuration data
    System Landscape tab...
It shows  System Landscape : Corresponding Integration server not maintained
I have maintained the corresponding integration server in the SLD where in the business I created for ECC,
I put the business system that I have created for Integration server
    Yet The error persists...any idea?
    Regards,
    Teja

    Hi Guys,
I have done all the setting suggested,,
then came across a thread on the forum
Unable to load Integration Server data from SLD
Regarding the System Landscape button in transaction sxmb_adm -> Integration Engine Configuration,
this button is obsolete and no longer works correctly. You can ignore the error message you get.
    Thanks,

  • Use PI as "Application System" instaed of "Integration Server"

    All,
i have quite complicated scenario in which:
message is sent ECC > XI, this mesage triggered number of sub-interfaces XI>OraDB (via jdbc), each sub-interface activate DB stored procedure (which returns large data volumes). all returned data should be "re-packed" into IDocs which are submitted back to ECC.
I tried to encapsulate all "sub-interfaces" in a simple ECC->XI proxy interface generated coed, and implement the DB calls as XI>DB (Proxy2JDBC) interfaces. in order to enable these interfaces (for which the start point is XI) i had to change the XI (at sxmb_adm and SLD) to "Application System" instead of "Integration Server". at this point i re-tested my proxy interfaces ECC>XI and they were not working?
    how can this be done?
any other possible solutions to the above scenario?
    Regards'

Does your sys. Admin is aware of what you are trying to do?
    You better not....
Don't let your customer define the interface to you.
You are not just a SAP PI developer.
You should be looking at the whole business process and
tell the customer what is the best way to implement the interface.
And so, I believe this integration dilemma can be simplified.
    Good luck.

  • One business system and two FTP server locations

    Hi,
We have one business system and two FTP server locations related to it. We have to send two different messages to this business system.
It has to be send to both the ftp server locations.
How do we configure the receiver determination and receiver agreements ?
Do we need two receiver Business systems for this?
How do we configure the receiver agreements especially?
    Urgent
    Regards,
    John

    hi
    1) you must create 2 CC, each one to one FTP server.
    2) how you send diferent message to each FTP yo only have to define 2 Reveiver determination, and two Interface Determination.
    3)one sender Agreement
    4)2 receiver agreement.
take in mind you only have 1 BS you must create 2 receiver determination, else if have 2 one receiver would be enouhgt
    Thanks

  • Role of business system in SLD

I am doing PI post configuration with Central SLD on solution manager. What should be the Role of the business system for solution manager? In sxmb_adm should I give this as application system? And what should be the corresponding integration server?

    Hi,
it should be application and should be connected to PI as any other R3 application system. If you connect it ti PI, then enter the PI destination as explained in the PI configuration guide, section connection to other business systems.
If you are not using PI, then it is not relevant - you should leave both fields empty

  • Role of business system

while creating a business system, the  business system role can be given as an application system or integration server
what is the signifance of using it as an integration server and as application system

    Hi Harsh,
However it's not clear from documnetation
they mentioned that we can use INTEGRATION server in both the cases weather it's application sys. or other sys.
But i think while craeating it for R/3 sys. i.e. Wwe AS ABAP we use it as Integration server else as application system.

  • Business Systems and Related Integration Servers

Each Standalone Business System has a corresponding Related Integration Server.
Suppose I am Developing a scenario for a Business System in the development environment, I have a related XI Development Integration Server (call it XD1) then I want to transport the changes to the test environment. Since this business system is defined to only point to XD1 as the integration server, in the test environment I want it to use the Test Integration Server (call it XD2). But the Business SYstem is pointing to XD1 only!
What I am saying is: Given that one Business System only points to one Integration Server, do I need one Business System for Development (call it BS_DEV), and one for test (call it BS_TST)?
    Kind Regards,
    Tony.

If you have only 1 sld and you want to move the XI objects from development(XIDEV) to Quality(XIQA).
you will have to define the 2 business system groups and the related transport targets in the SLD..
    1st transport group XIDEV    --
BS_DEV will have XIDEV as the integration server.
    2nd transport group XIQA  --
BS_QA will have XIQA as the integration server.
So you will have to name the business system differently as DEV and QA
