Configuring E1 for DRS (Digital Radio Signal)

We have purchased a new Cisco router 2821 (2 E1 cards, 2 Giga Ethetnet) for Internet connectivity E1 through DRS (Digital Radio Signal). Someone has installed DRS equipment at our premises (third party). Now i want to configure my E1 module and that DRS for E1 module on router. Can anyone help me that how can i confihure E1 module on router (newly purchased router) and also that how can i configure my router for connectivity with that DRS equipment.

To me, digital radio is a solution in search of a problem, and I wish the BBC would stop wasting so much money promoting it.
Just to add to my previous comments:- I seem to remember reading about all the changes to be made to DAB when I bought my portable radio.
There was a vague mention of the codec being changed from MP2 to MP3 at some time in the future.
Apparently, even existing DAB at MP2 has an inferior audio frequency range over FM.
The DAB radio has to be future-proof when bought. I'm not sure if even my Roberts is!
This may well put the dampers on the scene as it exists. Or perhaps those attempting to force that changeover to digital are simply looking for more space in the broadcast spectrum??

  • Can the IMAQ 1424 be configured for other digital cameras?

I hope the answer is yes! Because when I read:
Compatible with Cohu, Dalsa, Hamamatsu, Kodak, and Pulnix cameras
I didnt take that to mean
ONLY COMPATIBLE with Cohu, Dalsa, Hamamatsu, Kodak, and Pulnix cameras
That is to say I was operating under the impression that you could configure the IMAQ 1424 to work with other cameras, as long as you have all the pertinent information of said camera. What worries me is on my initial attempt in the IMAQ software it says that the option to configure a camera only works for non-digital card/cameras. I havent got into the software and hardware in great detail yet, maybe I will find that this is a non-issue but I just thought I would ask,
in that if the answer is no I wont waste anymore time. So, if I can configure the 1424 to work with OTHER cameras, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks a 10^6
    Grant

    Grant,
Yes, it can be used with other cameras. The list of compatible cameras only includes the ones NI has already written configuration files for.
For cameras not in the list, you need two things. You need a cable that will connect all the appropriate signals. This may require a terminal block or custom cable. You will also need an camera configuration file, that tells the camera how to read the video signal, how to react to different signals, etc. The main problem is that NI does not document the format of the configuration files, so it can be difficult to write your own. They are usually willing to help by writing the basic file, but you are on your own if you want to implement anything fancy. If you study other files, it isn't too difficult to figure
    out how to do it.
I would contact NI and discuss the specific camera you are trying to connect to the 1424. If it is a common camera, they may already have the files or cables you need (or know where they can be found). If it is not a common camera, they can tell you what needs to be done and how difficult it will be to do.

  • AP with radio signal strength configurable

    Hi,
Is there any available cisco aironet model which enable administrator to configure the strength of the WiFi wireless radio signal? Example, we can tune to 10dB, 20dB, 30dB and yet maintaining the throughput (10 Mbps, 25 Mbps)

  • Is it save to use digital output as a digital input signal for another channel

    Hi all,
I know this is a stupid question, but I do not have other signal generator by hand. So what I want to know is, can I use the digital output signal of my USB-6001 as an input signal for the same device but on other digital port? I did not try out directly because I do not want to burn the device down......
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I do loop backs all the time, especially in my test systems as a way of making sure my signal is making it to the UUT pin.  I typically throw in a 10k resistor just in case, but I have never had an issue.

  • Configure "Remark" for Digital Signature

I have read several posts about setting up digital signature for using in documents to get them approved. However, I have not found a post that outlines steps to configure with a "pre-populated value" for Remark.
For a digital signature we can make a "Remark" required. But how do we default it to a certain value. Any suggestions?
Need some urgent input. Thanks in advance.

No one has done this before?
No one has any knowledge of how to get this done?

  • Wait for the digital signal

Is there like "wait for the panel activity" in digital signal, "wait for the digital signal goes up" etc. ?
Or is it bad to make it with sequence structure and inside of first sequence use while loop?

If you need to wait for a digital signal before continuing on with your program, the best way is to have a while loop that continuously reads the signal and stops the loop when the signal goes high. You can put this loop in the first frame of a sequence, or you can wire an output from the loop (like error out from the device read vi) into your next step. Be sure to put a delay (100mSec) in your loop so that the loop does not hog CPU time.

  • I am trying to use an external HD and need to configure it for the MAC. Can someone explain how to configure the HD (Western Digital - My Passport SE)?

Can someone help explain how to add an external HD to the Mac? I have a Western Digital My Passport SE and need to configure if for the MAC and add it to the HD location on my Mac.

Connect the external drive to the Mac. You can do that while the Mac is on, (If the drive is one that has to be plugged into a wall outlet do that too and turn the power on.) If there is a light on the drive it should turn on.
Now double click on the hard drive icon - top left of the screen of your computer. When it opens look for the Applications folder. Double click that. Next look for a folder called Utilities. Double click. In there you will see a file called Disk Utility.app. Double click on that.
You will now see something like this, with two items on the left. The second one is your new drive.
Select it - one click. And click on Erase - one of the buttons at the top, You will see this.
You must select the Format, it's a drop down - the one shown in the image above is best. You can change the name from Untitled if you want. The name can be changed later if you prefer.
At this point look at the bottom right. There is a button there called Erase. Click on it. Then go get yourself a cup of coffee - this will take a few minutes.

  • Niscope for pxi5105, use a digital pulse signal to control analog signal sample

i want to use ni-scope to drive pxi5105. And the PFI1 connect to a digital pulse signal(10KHz, 0-3.3V), to control a single channel analog signal continuous sample(Chan 0). I want a loop when the digital signal falling, the analog singal start to sample, and when the digtal signal rising, the analog singal stop. And by the low level of the digital singal, the analog singal sample (coupling by DC) can get an average and export to txt. I have tried the "start_and_reference_trigger.vi " and it did not work correctly. i need your help, thank you very much.

    Hi Phil,
The SCC carrier is only conditioning your signals (i.e. if your signals are not in optimal ranges, bandwidth or need external excitation). The actual counters and all digital lines are controlled directly by the M-series board. This means you will never be able to refer to a counter in the SCC module.
If you route the signals of the M-Series board, is as if you had done so externally from the SCC. Look at this example and might give you more insight to how to implement it (This is software timing). The hardware timing would be doing correlation DIO. Here is an example that needs to be modified to adapt to your timing: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4414

  • Measurement Computing USB-SSR24 error 42 Digital Port not configured correctly for requested operation

Using LV 2012 and ULx 2.02 LV driver:
LV is throwing an error 42 (Digital Port not configured correctly for requested operation) from the ULx write VI but only on PortCH.  All my configurations are correct on the hardware and Instacal tests the ports OK.  I've reinstalled everything and still see the same issue.
Since PortA is configured identical to PortCH, and PortA is functioning fine, I'm stumped.  This is occuring on two different SSR24 DAQs so I don't think it's the hardware, plus I've already mentioned that the Instacal isn't having a problem with it.
I've attached my VI I'm using for debug.

I worked with Measurement Computing and they agreed that there is a bug with certain DI/DO configurations.  There are a possible 16 different DI/DO configurations with the hardware and apparently mine (PortA - DO, PortB- DI, PortCL-DI, and PortCH-DO will throw this error for PortCH.  I'm currently using .net calls to work around the issue until the ULx driver is updated.  I'll post that when I see it.  Attached are the .net VI's that I'm using for simple static IO.

  • Digital Radio for iPhone

I regularly go to sporting events and would like to pick up the radio commentary over my iPhone. Is there a digital radio app that covers this? (Ideally 5 live).

    Hi
I use TuneIn Radio - it streams just about every radio station in the world, including 5 Live, although you do need a Wi-Fi or 3G connection.
    http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/tunein-radio/id319295332?mt=8
Be warned, you may go over your monthly data allowance streaming on 3G.

  • All of a sudden, the radio signal LEDs went off and node went dead

In order to change the I/O variable data type of my node from single to array of single, I simply press and hold the rest button on WSN-3202 for 7seconds. At the end of it, the radio signal LEDs went off and node went dead. All attempt to bring it back to life proof abortive. What should I do?
    Blessing

    Hi Blessing,
If you've tried everything to get it working, including a fresh set of batteries or direct power from an adaptor, then you should contact your local NI branch regarding the repair process. The contact information for your branch can be found on http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/nicc.call_me.

  • Digital Radio

Just a comment away from the subject of computers and broadband for a moment. However it's a very familiar situation.
It's been slipped in just before Christmas, to soften the blow, perhaps. This is progress!
I read an article on the news today (almost hidden away on the page)  re analogue radio switch off, or digital radio switchover.
If it goes ahead it's going to be a difficult situation, perhaps not in the home where many are already prepared. The car is going to be a problem, even ignoring signal reception.
For some with newer models, e.g. Hybrids, there's a driver's console. If you didn't want satnav, then you could only have an FM receiver fitted. I didn't want satnav - it's  an experience equivalent to a having back seat driver in the car. There's a portable device I can use on the dashboard, but it's not always correct - and just that "not always" can create a lot of problems.
If we go fully digital, it's going to cost more than a few pennies to have a new console fitted, unless the manufacturer produces a new kit.
It will be much more convenient for him to sell you a new car.

  • Enabling Simultanious Analog and Digital Audio Signals

My apple TV runs through a Yamaha receiver. It is hooked up with component video and digital audio cables. I also need to hook analog audio to my receiver so it can play outdoor speakers through zone 2 (which only recognizes analog signals). Zone 2 does not work when I hook both digital and analog cables. Called Yamaha and they said to look for a setting on Apple TV that enables simultanious analog and digital audio signals. Does anyone know if/how this can be done? Or any other way to make the analog zone work without losing digital on the main zone?

AFAIK, the analog audio on the ATV outputs all the time. The audio output setting in the ATV just determines whether the digital output is Dolby or PCM. Try turning off Dolby in the ATV audio settings and see if that makes a difference. If not, the problem is probably elsewhere.

  • Using a SCC counter pulse train to control a SCC digital out signal

I am trying to send a digital high signal on a SCC-Digital ouput module for a certain number of pulses generated by a SCC-Counter/timer pulse train. I have found examples of how to route such signals through PFI12 etc on an M-series board but I am trying to achieve this without referring to the card, just the SCC modules themselves.
I cannot find a way to use the sample clock from the counter generated pulse train to synchronise the digital output.
Is there any way I can do this without referring to the connected M-series DAQ card channels?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

  • Receiver Determination - Configuration Overview for Receiver Determination

    Hi All,
I was trying on some tutorial for Calling RFC(sender) and creating a File at Receiver site.
I've configured all the required setting at the Design: Integration Builder.
As for Configuration: Integration Builder. Until the Step where I required to setup the Receiver Determination, there is this part "Configuration Overview for Receiver Determination". where i have to maintain the "Receiver Service", else i will hit this error "Enter the receiver service".
The steps which i followed was :
    1. Create 2 Communication Channel for Sender/Receiver in the Business System.
    2. Create a Sender agreement.
    3. Create a Receiver agreement.
    4. Create a Interface determination.
    5. Lastly "Configure the Overview for Receiver Determination"  for   Receiver Determination
The problem which I'm facing now is I have nothing in the "Configure the Overview for Receiver Determination" at all even i have created the sender/receiver agreement and interface determination.
While some troubleshooting, under the If No Receiver Is Found, Proceed as Follows: I tried choosing the "Continue Message Processing with the Following Receiver" radio button and choose the Receiver for the Service then hit the save button.
The error "Enter the receiver service". pop up but now, the Receiver service was shown under the "Configure the Overview for Receiver Determination". When i try choosing back the "Terminate Message Processing with Error (Restart Possible) and hit the Save button. The Receiver service goes missing again.
Any Idea what happen ? or anything i missed out ? thanks in advance.
