Copy manufacturing date to batch characteristics in REM confirmation

Hi to everyone,
I have a situation that when goods receipt occurs with movement 131 in MFBF, manufacturing date is not updated in batch. How can I copy the value as batch characteristics?
please advice,
best regards..

Hi,
If you want the value as batch characteristic you need to:
1. Create the characteristic in trn. CT04, with reference to field MCHA-ERSDA (or MCH1-ERSDA if your batch management is cross-plant)
2. Create a class in trn. CL02 and include the characteristic in it.
3. Assign the class to your material in Material Master.
Hope it helps.

mr.

  • Copy of Batch characteristics value from material master to Batch

    Hi Gurus,
I have maintained some values in the characteristics under batch classification in material master and want to copy the values in batch characteristics during batch creation at process order release.
Can any one help me to achieve this in standard way?
    Thanks
    Sandip

    Hi,
Try to understand the batch classification functionality...In batch classification characteristic values changes from batch to batch...Values should not be maintained in the material master...it does not have any meaning...in the material master we need to assign only the batch class with class type 023 in classification view ...no need to assign the values there....Batch classification means characteristics values differs from batch to batch...

  • Manufacturing date updation

    Hi,
We are using Discreete manufacturing in our SAP system. Currently we are implementing SAP one of our foundry unit. They wants to enter the Manufacturing date at the time of Production confirmation screen. In repetetive system, Tcode MFBF, manufacturing date is availble. But we are using CO11N for confirmation. In that Screen, Dates header is availbe. The Start executin date & Finish execution date field is available.
I want to know, whether i can use this filed for Manufacturing date updation.
    Regards
    R Vaithiyanathan

    Hi ,
You can bring LOBM_HSDAT characterisitc using BMSM traxn. Assign this Char in Batch class of finished material.
CO11n( If you have selected auto goods receipt)  or MIGO on production order will update MCH1--> HSDAT field.
You can pullout from table/ batch master data.
    Hope it helps,

  • Pricing by Manufacturing date

    Dear,
I am working as a support for pharma company. They have scenario:
The pricing caluculations are changing from 1st october, but they want to keep old pricing caluculations for old stock .the system should defferentiate depending on the manufacturing date or batch wise .when they take old stock in the order the caluculation will be old pricing procedure,if the take new stock the new pricing should come.we need go live after 1st october. Is it possible in SAP can any one help on this
    Regards
    Chilukri

    Hi
    Please do the following
    1. When does the batch get determined. If it gets determined then you need to get the manufacturing date from the batch characteristic. Once this is done move it to the Pricing date using the user exit mentioned by the other user.
    reward if this helps
    Thanks

  • MIGO : Error when copying batch characteristics

    Hi,
I've some problem on MIGO Tcode when i want to copy the batch characteristics.
I work with class type 022.
I create a GR from PO. (movement 101). My item line contained sub-items (with BOM). So i would like to copy the batch characteristics in reference of component batch values.
    I've implemented the UE "EXIT_SAPMM07M_004".
Case 1 : In this UE, i fill a standard internal table (named VALUES) with the characteristics names and values i want to resume.
and i use the FM 'CLFM_OBJECT_CLASSIFICATION' with the father and the son batch information in UE, i go to MSC3n and all characteristics are copied (even those unwanted). But when i go to MCS2N,  i retrieve the expected values.
Case 2 : Only use the internal table, but some characteristics are not maintained.
Case 3 : Only use the FM, but no characteristics are reversed.
Does anyone could help me ?
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards.

    Hi,
Table and field used in additional data table should be related to the object than only it will work, for e.g. MCHA and ERDAT will work if you create a characteristcis and assign it to class type Batch (022/023) because MCHA table has Batch no. as primary key,
this implies for using material specific table e.g. MARA , you should use characteristics with class type 001 (Material class) , try using with table MARC also

  • Copying Batch Characteristics Value from Standard SAP Table Field

    Dear Experts,
    1. While creating a user-defined Batch Characteristics 'CREATED_BY' using ct04,  on the Additional Data tab, I filled  the following fields as follows:  Table Name = MCHA,  Field Name =ERNAM.
'CREATED_BY' was then assigned to a batch Class TRIMMED (of class type 022).
TRIMMED  was assigned to a batch managed material ADE245DD.
After posting co15 (confirmation of production order) for material ADE245DD, the value in table MCHA & field ERNAM is automatically copied into the Batch Characteristics value field of u2018CREATED_BYu2019  for the generated batch.
    2. But I am unable to achieve the same result when I create another Batch Characteristic with similar settings in the Additional Data tab as follows: Table Name = MARC, Field Name = DISPO.
After doing co15, the value stored in table MARC and field DISPO does not get copied into the Batch Characteristics value.
Please what do I need to do in Scenario 2 above to achieve the same result as in Scenario1?

I dont think its possible, you need to copy line by line and paste them in batch classification. You can create LSMW, if there are lots of characteristics to be copied.

  • Process order release date as batch manufacturing date

    Hi All,
We have automatic batch creation during the release of the process order. Now the requirement is that proess order release date should be updated as Batch manufacturing date in the corresponding Batch data (MSC3N). How this can be done.
    Regards
    Vinamrath

    Hi Vinamrath,
Hope your proess order release date and the batch creation date are same.
In such case go to txn CT04 (create Characteristic) and create a  Characteristic say  "Batch manufacturing date". Then in the tab Addnl data maintain the table name as "MCH1 or MCHA" and Field name as "ERSDA" (created on-this is the batch creation date).
In case your  proess order release date and the batch creation date are not same, then there is a field called " HSDAT" -date of manufacture.you can maintain this field name in addnl data.
Maintain this Characteristic in classification (CL02)
Then this will get updated in the batch and same can be viewed in MSC3N
    Regards

  • Population o batch manufacturing date automatically through process mesages

    Hi gurus,
We sre using control recipe to download data into MES system and uploading data through process message to do the confirmation and goods receipt. We are using batch management and calculating shelf life expiration date at the time of confirmation using manufaturing date + shelf life. Now the issue is, through process message we are not able to populate batch manufacturing date automatically and getting confirmation error after sending the process message to SAP. In process messgae category we are using characterics PPPI_END_DATE,PPPI_EVENT_DATE, PPPI_START_DATE as a date field.
Can anybody suggest how can we populate batch manufacturing date automatically through process mesages.

  • Batch Manufacturing date

    Hi there,
my customer controls the stock they manufacture with batch numbers.
The customer wants the due date of the production order to be inserted in the manufacturing date field on the batches setup screen  when completing the production order.
I have tried without any luck...can someone please help me with this...
    thank you
    Kind regards
    Ian

    Hi Ashis
I am aware of the function of maintaining batches, but this happens after the production process has been completed.
I need to populate the manufacturing date during the production process...
e.g. Production has been completed, the user opens a receipt from production and selects the production order, when adding the receipt from production the batch setup screen appears and the user can complete the batch details for the item manufactured, on this screen they want the manufacturing date to be populated automatically from the Production order due date...
I will try to use UDF's to see if it works...
    Thank you

  • Batch Characteristics copying from material HALB to FERT

    Dear Experts ,
I have one typical scenario, in whcich we want copy the batch Characteristics semifinsihed  product to finished product.
( these Characteristics recorded by quality dept for semifinshed products and updated in batch)
Please let me know the solutions.
    Regards
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
This can be achieved by Use of Batch Derivation Functionality.
Go to t.code DVSP and activate Batch Derivation.
Now ,First Create Sander Condition by usng T.code DVS1,
Assign Material type (Halb) and assign required characteristic for which you want to transfer Batch value to Fert Code.
Then create recipient condition by T.code DVR1.
Assign material Type Fert to it and Characteristic which you have assign in T.code DVS1.
This will work during Production Order or Process Order release.
And for this you have do Batch Determination for Halb in Order itself

  • Unable to automatically assign batch numbers in REM upon confirmation

    Hi expert,
    I did all required configuration:
the batch level is Material (OMCT)
internal Batch Number Assignment is activated (OMCZ)
Define Batch Creation For Mvt is set to C for type 131
Define Initial Creation of Data for Batch Master Transactions is set to C for my material type
the indicator for BM is set in the view Plant Data/Storage Location for the material/SL
But still when I confirme my production with MF42N, the system is not getting the internal number range for the batch.
    Any idea why?

    Hi,
U can assign the Batch Number for Finished material at MFBF screen . For Components batch number check with "Postwith correction screen " of MFBF. If u set bacth search procedure at REM profile batch number for Components will com automatically.
SPRO>LOGISTICS>PRODUCTION>REM>BACKFLUSHING>MAINTAIN GLOBAL SETTINGS FOR CONFIRM. & LIS> BATCH CLASSIFICATION ACTIVE FIELD.
Use the field value as '1'.
Maintain Batch search procedure at control data tap2 in REM profile (SPRO) which will be assigned to Finished material.
    Please try and come back.

  • Inbound Delivery (DESADV): How to transmit SLED/BBD and Manufacture Date?

    Hello
We have another challenging task to solve. Here is the scenario (SAP Release ERP 6.0):
One Lindt company (supplier) sends an outbound DESADV IDoc to another Lindt company (Purchaser). Here the inbound DESADV should create an inbound delivery. Finally, the inbound delivery is replicated to the external WHS partner who does the Goods Receipt against this inbound delivery.
The outbound DESADV contains all logistical data including SSCC. In particular, the batches have a manufacture date (LIPS-HSDAT) and a SLED/BBD (LIPS-VFDAT).
SLED = Shelf Life Expiration Date
    BBD = Best-Before Date
In the outbound DESADV the SLED/BBD is mapped by default into segment E1EDL24/VFDAT. For the manufacture date we implemented an user-exit.
How does the inbound delivery look like? The batch number appears as "Vendor batch". The SLED/BBD does NOT show up even though the inbound DESADV contains the date in E1EDL24/VFDAT. This inbound DESADV did NOT contain any controlling segment E1EDL19. Adding this segment (QUALF = 'VDT' = Shelf Life Expiration or Best-Before Date) had no effect.
Here is my assumption why the SLED/BBD does not show up in the inbound delivery created by the inbound DESADV:
Because we do not yet have the "real" batch (just the "Vendor batch") the system ignores any SLED/BBD. As soon as the external WHS partner sends the GoodsReceipt message (as inbound WHSCON ) the inbound delivery is updated with the "real" batch as well as the SLED/BBD.
    QUESTIONS:
    (1) Why does the SLED/BBD not show up in the inbound delivery created by an inbound DESADV?
    (2) Do we need another user-exit to map the manufacture date into the inbound delivery?
Once again thank you for sharing your time and expertise with us.
    Regards
       Uwe
