Credit memo have no COS value in COPA doc

Hi All,
I've one credit memo 90514393. However the COPA exit program did not
post its COS into the document. I've checked at KE4S and compared with other credit memo but theres no difference. Development team has been checked on program side. User exit program works as expected. Not sure which part that cause this problem.
Thanks

Hi Ronny,
Fyi Im using User Exit Program which is can determine the COS of sales from program. Developer has been checked the program and work as expected. Only 1 credit memo affected. Maybe something wrong with the data keyed in by user.
Thanks

  • MIGO values when invoices/credit memos have already been posted

    Hi everyone,
We are facing an issue with the values the system is calculating when doing the GR (and/or GR reversals) once invoices/credit memos have already been posted regarding the PO (Non Stock POs = non valuated).
When a goods receipt is posted through MIGO (mov. type 101) it seems that the system is considering only the invoices values but we do not really understand how it is calculated and why it is not considering the total amount of invoices and credit memos.
In fact when a GR reversal is done (mov. type 102) the system seems to be considering the total amount of invoices and credit memos posted against the purchase order.
Please find below an example with the invoices and GR values (all invoices were posted before the GRs)
    GR     5000077059     1     18.12.2008     EA     -1     -3300,00GBP
    GR     5000076426     1     17.12.2008     EA     1     930,50GBP
    Tr./ev. Goods receipt                                    EA     1     -2369,50GBP
    IR-L     5105052971     1     17.11.2008     EA     -1     -835,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052970     1     17.11.2008     EA     -1     -50,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052959     1     17.11.2008     EA     -1     -885,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052958     1     17.11.2008     EA     1     885,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052957     1     17.11.2008     EA     1     885,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052428     1     13.11.2008     EA     -1     -105,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052427     r4tf cv     13.11.2008     EA     -1     -640,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052426     1     13.11.2008     EA     -1     -835,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052425     1     13.11.2008     EA     1     640,00GBP
    IR-L     5105052424     1     13.11.2008     EA     1     835,00GBP
    IR-L     5105051741     1     11.11.2008     EA     1     60,00GBP
    IR-L     5105051740     1     11.11.2008     EA     1     3240,00GBP
    IR-L     5105045571     1     16.10.2008     EA     1     105,00GBP
    Tr./ev. Invoice receipt                                    EA     1     3300,00GBP
According to my assumption, in order to calculate the GR value it looks like the system is considering the average for the 5 first invoices and then the average for the 2 next invoices, and making the average of both of them. But if I post another invoice it does not seem to follow this rule.
I would appreciate any explanation on how the system calculates the GR values and how we would be able to correct the GR value.
    Thanks a lot. Best regards

    Hi
I hope there is no GR based IV tick in PO, only GR is ticked (PO based IV)
    In that case
    IR-L 5105045571 1 16.10.2008 EA 1 105,00GBP
    IR-L 5105051740 1 11.11.2008 EA 1 3240,00GBP
    IR-L 5105051741 1 11.11.2008 EA 1 60,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052424 1 13.11.2008 EA 1 835,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052425 1 13.11.2008 EA 1 640,00GBP
Net invoiced value is 4880 GBP (taking out 00) for 5 quantity
in case of PO based IV, if IV is done first and then GR, GR assumes the value of invoice but not the PO - in that case for above IV,  1 quantity of IV referes to 976GBP debit
this value will be base GR/IR value for credit memos
    IR-L 5105052426 1 13.11.2008 EA -1 -835,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052427 r4tf cv 13.11.2008 EA -1 -640,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052428 1 13.11.2008 EA -1 -105,00GBP
there are 3 credit memos - for which GR/IR credit will be equal to that of original GR/IR debit value - that is 976
*so net credit on GR/IR because of credit memos will be (976976976) = 2928GBP for 3 quantity *
    IR-L 5105052958 1 17.11.2008 EA 1 885,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052957 1 17.11.2008 EA 1 885,00GBP
Then there are two invoices of values 885 GBP each - so total debit will be 1770 GBP
    so total GR/IR debit will be ( (4880/5) -(2928/3) + (1770/2) ) = 930.5 (debit)*
This value is the base GR/IR for credit memos
net GR/IR debit will be 930.5 - this is the base for GR - because in GR - entry on GR/IR will be credit
*So if you make GR - then GRed value will be 930.5*
    IR-L 5105052971 1 17.11.2008 EA -1 -835,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052970 1 17.11.2008 EA -1 -50,00GBP
    IR-L 5105052959 1 17.11.2008 EA -1 -885,00GBP
    *Now ordered will be XXX
    Delivered will be 930.5
    Invoiced will be 3300*
IF you reverse GR now it will assume the value of invoice: then reversal will show 3300 debit on GR/IR
That is what in your PO history now
These will happen because of PO based IV - for which there will be GR indicator will be ticked.
    Thanks

  • Need to avoid credit memo creation if the value is zero'0'

    Hi All,
I want to avoid the creation of Credit Memo if the value is zero, how this can be controlled in SD. Please pore your ideas.
    Regards,
    Ragu

    Hi,
In standard SAP system, Credit memo is created with reference to
    1) Credit memo request
    2) Return order
    3) Invoice correction request.
Before releasing these docs for Credit memo creation, check whether the
    value is non-zero.
You can put a billing block(Check credit memo) on these documents if the value is ZERO.
And the billing block will only be removed if the value of the doc is non-zero,and a Credit
memo can be raised from these doc.
Second alternative is to check the value in prior request doc by ABAP enhancement,
and if it zero do not create the request/document.
    Thanks ,
    Umesh Karane.

  • Credit memo's created with reference to billing docs

    hi,
appreciate your help on the following.
Can someone please explain how the conditions frm the invoice get copied to the credit memo? is it through copy controls and how can i check this?
I jst want the credit memos to copy the exact conditions of the invoice and not to update pricing.
    Thanks
    Keshini

    Hi there,
Yes. If both the credit memo & the invoice use the same pricing procedure, then they can be copied from the invoice.
But there is no direct copy from the invoice to the credit memo.
Credit memo is a billing doc type which is raised either against a returns order or against an invoice correction request.
So if you wish to copy the pricing, then you will need to maintain copy controls from invoice to returns order / invoice correction req 1st, then from returns / invoice correction request to credit memo.
So checkif your company is using the same pricing for invoice & returns. Then maintain F2 to RE order in VTAF 1st, then from RE order to CR in VTFA.
In that case at item level pricing, you will have to choose the option G or D. Option B cary new pricing is used when the docs have different pricing procedure.

    Sivanand

  • In Credit Memo Net Value is coming 0.

    Dear SD Expert,
I have created Credit Memo with Reference Credit memo request. While creating Credit memo (VF01) the Net Value is 0. But the Billed quantity is coming correct in the system. In Credit Memo request(VA01) every thing is ok, Quantity and Net Value are correct. But in credit memo net value is not coming as per credit memo request. I have also maintained Copy control(VTAF) for this. In copy control I have maintained following fields.
    Billing document to Sales document
Choose sales document type [G2] and Billing document type [F2]
    Go to Header details
    [52] = Billing document header
    [052]:
This routine transfers general billing header data from the reference document to target document.
    [103]:
This routine transfers business data Ex: Inco-terms from preceding document to new document.
    [003]
    = Billing header partner:
This routine copies Bill u2013 to u2013 party form invoice to sales document.
    Copying requirements [021]:
    (Billing header)
This routine checks Sold u2013 to u2013 party, sales area, and currency is same or not when copying billing document to
    sales document.
    Item level
    = TAN
153 = Item from billing document:
This routine copies all relevant data from preceding document to new
document at item category level (invoice to invoice cancellation).
104 = Business data item billing:
This routine copies business data from invoice to sales document.
    Ex:
    Inco-terms at item level.
    004 = Billing item partner:
This routine copies Bill u2013 to u2013 party or payer from invoice to sales document.
    Copying requirements [303]
    = Always an item
All standard items are copied into target document
    [] Uncheck copy schedule lines
    [X] Update
Pricing type [D] = Copy pricing elements unchanged
As per given information kindly guide me where I was wrong and what Input is requires?
    Regards,

    Hello Mancy,
Indeed Naveen is correct to use Transaction VTFA.  Sample Standard Settings:
    HEADER:
Target Billing Type = G2, From Sales Doc Type CR
Copying requirements = 001:Header/order/related (can be customized of course)
Hint: You may COPY item number from reference
    ITEM:
Target Billing Type = G2, From Sales Doc Type CR
Item Category Proposal <--THIS IS OPTIONAL (i suggest to leave this blank and input something only if you have a special business requirement wherein you need to change the item category in your credit memo, you may check Help/F1 for sample scenarios)
Item Category = G2N <--this is the item category coming from your source document i.e. item cat. from your Sales Order
    Copying Requirements = 002: Item/order-related
    Data Transfer Routine = 002: Ord-rel.credit memo
Pricing Type = D: Copy pricing elements unchanged
Please let me know if this helps you.
    Kind regards,
    Eva

  • Credit Memo& COPA

    Hi
While Posting a credit memo. The system puts value to freight value field.
This credit memo does not have any material Movement. Why its taking default freight cost value field.
Can some one guide.I did the check the reset value/qunty field in copa
I could not find this value filed there but I also could not find the value field in KE4i either.
But its picking the fright cost element-->freight value field  value and appears in copa document
    Can some one guide?

    Hi John,
As like characters, some value fields are delivered by SAP for e.g. Quantity (ABSMG) , freight (KWFRGR)
Use Tcode KECM to find out where you have used the freight value field (check each value field). Select the option "Where used list" in the left nevigation and select "Value field" in right navigation screen.

  • Net value of Credit memo must not increase, but accountingdoc must generate

    HI All
This is my sales- return process
Sales order has been created for
    Material : Ax001:   10 Qty : Total price : 100$   Per unit = 10$
Sales order has been created :  for 10 units        (sales doc number:AAAAS)
Billing has been done : 10 units for the value 100$
Accounting documents posted : Credit :100$   Debit accout: 100$
    Returns sales order:
This is done with reference to the sales order
Return Sales order has been created with reference to sales order :  (sales doc number:AAAAS)
Qty :1 Value of the product =10$   Material: Ax001
A manual condition type is defined to reduce the value of the actual price .. The company is planning to give only 5$ for the return material
Manual condition has been included in the Return saels order  Total net Value = 5$ qty = 1
Credit memo has been created : for 5$
Accounting doc: Credit account = 5$ debit account =5$
Issue: The account team wants one more account document to be created for the original value of the product i.e 10$
The net value in the billing document must not increase, but the account document must be created for the value=10$
This is for nullifying the original value of the product from the book of accounts
Solution tried : Manual condition for the original value =10$ keeping it as statically condition type : issue: account doc will not generate if it is statically . CND ref: 100% discount it did not work the net value in the order/billing is increasing
Please let me know how to generate the Accounting document with out increasing the net value.. Using standard SAP. we can create a routine and we can do this .. but we are looking for the Standard SAP solution if any,.....
Thanks for your help in Advance
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
In your scenario create new condition type and update that condition type with accruals at control data 2 section and create relevant access sequence  and update the condition type in your return pricing procedure and create new account key one for regular posing and one for accruals and take help from FI /CO to create new two accounts one for regular updates  and one for accruals posting ,
in your pricing procedure mark this condition as statistics relevant  it will create automatically accountancy document for reference,
Try this and let me know if you have any questions.

  • Rebate Credit memo -ve value, how to convert it to Debit Memo ?

    Hello All..
I have problem related to Rebate
    Situation is as follows:
A rebate agreement is created for a year with 2% of accruals at first  stage and a partial payment is done. After some time we realised that  accruals should have been at the rate of 1% instead of 2% and we made  changes in the condition records of rebate agreement. At the time of  final settlement system has generated a credit memo request for negative value which is correct because there was partial payment based in 2% of accruals and agreement is now with 1% accrual.
Actually as there is -ve value, system should generate debit note instead of credit note?
    Analysis upto now -
The Agreement type has been assigned with a Credit Memo Request as "Final settlement".. So the system will surely create the Credit memo request. BUT, when there is -ve net price, how can we shift to Debit Memo Request? If the ABAP development is required, where and how can we control this ?
Thanks in advance for your help

    Can anyone please advice ?

    Thanks Christian!
    Just got a niggle though.
How do I know which entry in NAST is my one i.e. the one that was recently triggered from the output type?
DO we look for the most recently created one?
Or is there a flag? If so do I then need to close this flag field when I've finished witht the data?
    Much obliged

  • Partial value credit memo

    Hi Gurus,
Querry 1:  Suppoe I make credit memo order of  100 value with qty 10. Now at the time of credit memo( that is during vf01), I want to bill only qty 5 but qty is uneditable in vf01. How can I do this?
Querry 2: Suppose I am making order related invoice for a particular material. I made order  of lets say 10 qty and then invoiced ( order related) 10 qty in VF01. When I goto document flow I see that order is still  showing status " being processed" Although I have checked in item category that completion rule is   B (Item is completed after full quantity has been referenced) but even after full qty is referenced the order doesn't exhaut. This i think is because completion rule works in conjuction with the document flow indicator which is there in copy controls of  sale document to delivery but since here there is no delivery and direct order related billing so there is no update document flow indicator also.
In this case how do I exhaust my orders then.

    Hi,
Item is not relevant for delivery means system should not generate any schedule line for that item.Schedule line icon in sales order must be DEACTIVATED.
Go to VOV7 >> select your Item category >> Details >> Remove tick mark from schedule lines allowed.
For debit memo and credit memo system will not generate any schedule line it is deactivated in item detail.
For partial qty follow what SAJU suggested.
Thank you very much SAJU SOM

  • Credit Memo more value than Bill Doc?

Can i raise a credit memo which has more value than the billing document.
    1. Is this possible
    2. If possible, where and what are the config settings
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Mahe

    Hi,
Your Credit Memo Request has to be Equal or Less than the original Billing document, First place why you want to have such a facility.
You requirement is possible in SAP.
System will give you a WARNING message when you try to do so. Message number is V4 - 229 in transaction OVAH.
If you set it to E, then you cannot refer more than what is available in Billing.
So as per your requirement, keep it as W or BLANK.
    Best regards,

  • How to display text value in the header data (Header text) of credit memo

    Hi...
I need to display the text value of the text field in the header text of the header data in credit memo.

  • How to hide net value of $0 on Credit Memos from rejected return?

We are creating a credit memo request with a second line item which contains rejected returns.  Basically line item 1 contains the actual qty which we are refunding and line item 2 is the qty which we will not be refunding.  When we create the the credit memo from this document in VF04, the line item two is showing on the credit memo with a net value of $0.
Is there a way to hide this net value of $0 or rejected return items from coming over onto the credit memo.  We would like to just show positive values on the CM.
    - Chuck

The reason for rejection is set in when the credit memo request is craeted and the net value of $0 still appears on the credit memo.. how ever the pricing values are in an unprocessed (yellow) status.
So after running a few test when the billing block was set on the credit memo request.. I noticed that the credit memo request was still open after VF04, would appear as unprocessed, and always show up when VF04 is ran.
Is there some other way to get the net value of $0 to NOT appear on the credit memo beyone reason for rejection and billing block.  Maybe something in the configuration copy control??

  • Delivery vs Invoice in Sales A/R  --- Return vs A/R Credit Memo

    1. What is the difference & relation between Delivery in Sales-A/R vs Invoice in Sales-A/R?
They both similar. Does it mean we can make Delivery only and skip Invoice?
According to definition: 'The Delivery is a legally binding document indicating that the shipment of goods or the delivery of services has occurred. Without this document, goods can be delivered only if an invoice has already been created.
    2. What is the difference & relation between Return vs A/R Credit Memo? Again, I found these 2 are very similar.

    Hi Tom,
    Let me put this Briefly:
    1. The sales Cycle as per SBO starts from Quotation - SO - Delivery and then Invoice. Now as such you can directly create the A/R Invoice without reference to the delivery. There is a difference b/w the two. When you create the Delivery Document the system posts Stock Posting  and in order to post the Value posting you will have to manadatorily create the A/R Invoice.
    2. Now If you directly create the A/R Invoiec without refering to a delivery the system will post both Stock and Value postings. Now you cannot make any payments with reference to the Delivery document in order to make payments you will have to necessarily have an invoice .
    3. Now invoice by itself can complete the whole sales cycle...i.e. when you create the Invoice as mentioned above can do both stock and value  posting.
    4. Similarly the return documnet is created with reference to a Delivery. It is the correction doc for a Delivery. When you are creating a return with reference to a delivery the stock postings are done but on order to do value postings you will have to create a A/R credit memo wRT  the Retuns. However again when you are creating a stand alone A/R Credit memo both stock and value are posted .
    5. Also return doc can be created wrt the Delivery only but the A/R Cr memeo can be created wrt
       a. A.R Invoice
       b. Delivery
       c. A/R DPM Invoice.
Hope I have clarified your doubts.
    Reward points if helpful.

2> The credit memo is always being created with negative value, which should not be the case
Note: I am passing manual condition type in condition type where calculation type is B(fixed value).
