Credit Memo& COPA

Hi
While Posting a credit memo. The system puts value to freight value field.
This credit memo does not have any material Movement. Why its taking default freight cost value field.
Can some one guide.I did the check the reset value/qunty field in copa
I could not find this value filed there but I also could not find the value field in KE4i either.
But its picking the fright cost element-->freight value field  value and appears in copa document
Can some one guide?

Hi John,
As like characters, some value fields are delivered by SAP for e.g. Quantity (ABSMG) , freight (KWFRGR)
Use Tcode KECM to find out where you have used the freight value field (check each value field). Select the option "Where used list" in the left nevigation and select "Value field" in right navigation screen.

  • COPA -Credit Memo without reference to a Billing Document

    Hi -
When we create a credit memo without reference to a billing document ( Manully entering a value in condition type), Data flows to COPA as -ve irrespective of +/- sign ticked in KE4I. This creates inconsistancy  if we chose +/- for some discount condition types as they come to COPA as positive when the credit memo is created with reference. Any ideas, how to handle this ??
More info: In SD conditon type maintenance plus/minus = positive. It has to be postive then only customer gets credited when a credit memo is created.
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Thanks Ajay -
    Example:
    1) I have a condition type in billing  Z012 - Additinal Discounts... asigned to VV230 - Discounts. From billing, VV230 gets a +ve value lets say $100.
    2) I have a credit memo ( stand alone, not refering to a billing doc), it has a condition type ZZ12 which can be manually entered and is also assigned to VV230. Now, VV230 gets -ve values lets say -$50.
In reporting, VV230 shows $50 ( +100-50), but the total discounts given to customer is $150.
    Where is it going wrong?
    Thanks

  • Credit Memo Assignment in COPA

    Dear SAP Experts,
I am serving in electronics company.we give incentives (Discounts) to our customer. The procedure is
we create credit memo with reference to material in SD and after checking of Memo ,credit note is posted. kindly note that these discounts are not quantity related but are incentives to increase the sales.
Now as we create credit note, in COPA, quntity used in credit memo as reference is deducted from actual quantity sold which is not desireable as we are only using material (quntity) for refernce purposes
please note that we have seperate number range and document types (sale order and billing type) for credit memos
kindly advice how to exclude these transaction from COPA reporting for accurate /real results
    please reply urgently

    Hi
Use the enhancement COPA0002, EXIT_SAPLKEAB_001 and do a clear in the value field with the conditions that you want .

  • COPA - Account assignment is not green in Credit memo Request

For regular sales orders ( not credit memo reqs), acct assignment is turning green, but not for credit memo reqs. when I get into account assignment and hit continue it turns green. When a credit memo is created (VF01), acct assignment / characteristics are all getting posted normally into COPA.
I don't have value flow from Sales order active in config, if this is the reason even for normal sales order it shouldn't turn green. Whats wrong with cr memo reqs? any ideas ?
    Thanks
    Chris

As already suggested, go to OVA2, Select "B - Sales item", Double click on Procedures, Select "20 - Standard item", Double click on "Fields" and finally maintain the following:-
    Table   Fldname           Description             Scr.    Status
VBAP    PAOBJNR    Profitab. Segmt No.            PKNT    01
    Now try the process

  • How to exclude the debit memo & credit memo out of COPA report (KE30)?

As captioned, now the current KE30 default transfers all the data from sales orders interfaces (via VA01), such as common sales order, 3rd party drop shipment, credit memo and debit memo etc.
Is there any idea to exclude the quantities display in KE30 towards Credit memo and debit memo? An user exit?
    Thanks for the great input...

    kissorkick,
You need to clear some concepts in COPA.
A similar example for you, COPA likes a supermarket, vendors supply stuff (data of billings etc) into the supermarket, then you select the stuff you want (Report result) by putting them into the shopping trolley. And KE30 likes the shopping trolley.
Now the question, do you wish the vendors do not supply certain stuff (credit meno etc) into the market or you just do not put the stuff into your shopping trolley only? Configure by Tcode KE4W for the former case or create the report in Tcode KE30 with certain selection rule for the later case.

  • COPA - SD - Rebates accrual & Credit memo

We have rebates accrual posting from SD-
Dr. Rebate A/c (PL) 1000 - this would also been in COPA
    Cr. Rebate accrual (BS) 1000
Now you settle the rebate(credit memo) - say you decide to settle for 1200
At this point the system will do the following entry (in FI):
Dr. Rebate accrual (BS) 1000 - posted to COPA
    Cr. Rebate A/c (PL) 1000
Dr. Rebate A/c (PL) 1200 - Posted to COPA
    Cr. Customer A/c 1200
hence the difference of 200 will be posted to COPA.
The issue is that I want to separate reverse of accrual and actual rebate in COPA i.e. to have two COPA line items
    first (accruals)    -1000
    second(rebate)    1200
    instead of current 200
    Is it possible?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi
I got your point... You are talking of the 2nd entry which is posted in COPA
SInce it is having the same GL account repeating twice, I dont think you would have 2 line items relating to 2nd document... You will have only 1 line item
What you would see in KE94 is the Original 1000 and the 200 amount so that you can have differentiation upto this level

  • Internal credit memo generating COPA document

    Hi,
We have created one intercompany billing document(IV) and see that there are no COPA
document generated. But when we did the Internal credit memo(IG) for the same, it is
    generating COPA document.
When intercompagny invoice(IV) is NOT PASSED THROUGH PA, then intercompany return(IG) also
    SHOULD NEITHER PASS THROUGH PA.
Also i found that for Billing document type IV, all the value fields are showing are reset
in KE4W T.code. So is it related to this or anything to do with this.
    Pls suggest

  • Credit memo have no COS value in COPA doc

    Hi All,
I've one credit memo 90514393. However the COPA exit program did not
post its COS into the document. I've checked at KE4S and compared with other credit memo but theres no difference. Development team has been checked on program side. User exit program works as expected. Not sure which part that cause this problem.
    Thanks

    Hi Ronny,
Fyi Im using User Exit Program which is can determine the COS of sales from program. Developer has been checked the program and work as expected. Only 1 credit memo affected. Maybe something wrong with the data keyed in by user.
    Thanks

  • COPA Values in the Profitability analysis for a credit memo request

    Hi All,
When I am trying to create an Invoice document for a Credit Memo request having a Configurable material , in the accounting document profitable analysis Profit Center view fields are not getting updated.
If we do the same thing for a reference material profit center view fields are getting updated properly.
What is the problem with the Configurable  material.
    Thanks in advance,
    RajaMahi

I would start fresh with a new sales order.  When you create with reference both the return delivery and credit memo are created with reference to the return sales order.  Here is an example document flow to clarify:
Document                                      Date               Qty/value   UoM/Cur   Overall proc. status
                                                                                    Return 60000077 / 10                          08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    . Returns Delivery 500000016 / 10             08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    .. GD returns QI 4900030060 / 1               08/25/05               10.000  EA      complete
    .. Credit for Returns1 10000017 / 10          08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    ... Accounting document 10000017              08/25/05               10.000  EA      Cleared

  • In Credit Memo Net Value is coming 0.

    Dear SD Expert,
I have created Credit Memo with Reference Credit memo request. While creating Credit memo (VF01) the Net Value is 0. But the Billed quantity is coming correct in the system. In Credit Memo request(VA01) every thing is ok, Quantity and Net Value are correct. But in credit memo net value is not coming as per credit memo request. I have also maintained Copy control(VTAF) for this. In copy control I have maintained following fields.
    Billing document to Sales document
Choose sales document type [G2] and Billing document type [F2]
    Go to Header details
    [52] = Billing document header
    [052]:
This routine transfers general billing header data from the reference document to target document.
    [103]:
This routine transfers business data Ex: Inco-terms from preceding document to new document.
    [003]
    = Billing header partner:
This routine copies Bill u2013 to u2013 party form invoice to sales document.
    Copying requirements [021]:
    (Billing header)
This routine checks Sold u2013 to u2013 party, sales area, and currency is same or not when copying billing document to
    sales document.
    Item level
    = TAN
153 = Item from billing document:
This routine copies all relevant data from preceding document to new
document at item category level (invoice to invoice cancellation).
104 = Business data item billing:
This routine copies business data from invoice to sales document.
    Ex:
    Inco-terms at item level.
    004 = Billing item partner:
This routine copies Bill u2013 to u2013 party or payer from invoice to sales document.
    Copying requirements [303]
    = Always an item
All standard items are copied into target document
    [] Uncheck copy schedule lines
    [X] Update
Pricing type [D] = Copy pricing elements unchanged
As per given information kindly guide me where I was wrong and what Input is requires?
    Regards,

    Hello Mancy,
Indeed Naveen is correct to use Transaction VTFA.  Sample Standard Settings:
    HEADER:
Target Billing Type = G2, From Sales Doc Type CR
Copying requirements = 001:Header/order/related (can be customized of course)
Hint: You may COPY item number from reference
    ITEM:
Target Billing Type = G2, From Sales Doc Type CR
Item Category Proposal <--THIS IS OPTIONAL (i suggest to leave this blank and input something only if you have a special business requirement wherein you need to change the item category in your credit memo, you may check Help/F1 for sample scenarios)
Item Category = G2N <--this is the item category coming from your source document i.e. item cat. from your Sales Order
    Copying Requirements = 002: Item/order-related
    Data Transfer Routine = 002: Ord-rel.credit memo
Pricing Type = D: Copy pricing elements unchanged
Please let me know if this helps you.
    Kind regards,
    Eva

  • When Creating Credit memo pricing formula gets triggered even if pri typ D

    Hi gurus,
We have a copy control set up from billing doc to credit memo doc with all the item catergories pricing type as D (Copy pricing elements unchanged ). We have a discount condition in pricing procedure which is set to statistical based on a condition base formula.
When I create a credit memo all condition are copied from billing document but the discount condition is set to statistical, which in term throws off the further calculations.
I found out that this is happening because the condition base formula is getting executed during copy and discount condition get statistical. My understanding was that ,making the pricing type D should not even touch the formula,it should copy conditions as it is.
Have anybody seen this issue before , is there a way to control it ? Or this is a SAP bug ?
Please respond, below is the excerpt of our pricing procedure in billing and credit memo
    Billing doc pricing :
    ZVEN Vendor List Price 135,00
    ZVDC Vendor Discount 50,000-    -
    >    not statistical
    Customer Discounted 67,50
    Credit memo pricing :
    ZVEN Vendor List Price 135,00
    ZVDC Vendor Discount 50,000-    -
    > statistical
    Customer Discounted 135,00
Thanks in advance for your help...

    Hi Swapnil,
I dont thik its an SAP bug. In order to answer your query, we need to understand further more on the issue,
    1) IS ZVDC defualted to statistical in the pricing procedure ? or are you explicitly putting to statistical based onthe condition base formula ?
2 ) if you are putting as statistical explicitly then we need to check the logic in the base formula. Probably you are filtering the document type or category in the logic?
Can you send me the logic, in the base routine, ?
sit with an abaper and try to debug the routine.
the routines should definetly be called even if you are copying.
the indicator D just copies the unit price thats it, the condition value is calculated from the routines only,
i feel there is some thing in your routine which needs to be corrected.

  • Credit Memo for sales adjustment

    I have 2 pricing procedures,
    Z00001 for normal sales
    Contain condition types
Z001 - Selling Price and some other for discount, freight, etc
    Z00002 for sales adj.
    Contain condtion types
    Z002 - Sales Adj
The 2 condtion types Z001 and Z002 are mapped to 2 diff. value fields (gross sales and sales adj) in COPA
    I have the following questions:
    1. if I directly generate a credit memo from the billing doc (normal sales order -> delivery -> GI -> billing), is it no way to change the pricing procedure from Z00001 to Z00002? If using Z00001, i can only enter the difference in the condtion value of Z001 (say unit price from $100 -> $95, then I enter 5 in the condition value for the credit memo) which won't brought the amount to the sales adj value field in COPA which in turn the value diff. will be reflected in the gross sales as negative value.
    2. if I generate a credit memo request without referencing any doc for this case, I will have Z00002 as the pricing procedure. So I can have the sales adj. amount fell into the sales adj value field in COPA when the billing doc is released to FI. But I don't know how to maintain the relationship of this request to its original order / billing document. When I tried to create the credit memo request with reference to billing / sales order, I hit the same problem that I can't change the pricing procedure to sales adj Z00002, the pricing procedure Z00001 determined in the reference sales order / billing doc will be used instead. Is there any way to create the credit memo request reference from a sales order / billing that I can keep their relationship in document flow, and yet a different pricing procedure will be used?
Also, please advise what is the normal practice for handling the case of sales adj? Many thanks!

    Hi Gundam,
You can try out by taking only one procedure which is ZD0001 and can includ eth condition ZD02 in the same procedure.
You can make other conditions manual so that when you create your credit memo w.r.t billing then you can manualy enter the value of ZD02 so that they can enter in the sales adj.
      Try this out.
      Reward points if it works.
    Regards

  • SD credit memo with in corredt due date

    Hello,
When we create SD returns or credit memo it becomes due immediately in A/R side. Even though it has payment term as of net 30days. Even return created with reference  to orginal  sales order # still after billing doc, it beomes due immediately even if it copies the payment term from orginal order. Any suggestion or work around.
    Thanks

    Hi
First of all go to XD02->company code tab and check the payment terms you have maintained. Now , Once you create a
credit memo and release it to FI then the payment terms will be same and while clearing the customer amount you can maintain the net as 30days also.

  • Create Credit Memo referenced to Billing Document - Condition Types

    Hello,
I need help on this particular situation, your help would be greatly appriciated.
I try to create a Credit Memo(VA01) with reference to the Billing Document, but I don't want to see on my Credit Memo a particular Condition Type from the Billing Document. Configuration solution or ABAP solution? and how?
What the system does now is, it copies all the Condition Types from the Billing Document to the newly created Credit Memo.
    Thank you all

    Hi,
Create a new pricing procedure without the condition type you donot wish to appear in the credit note. create/ use a different document pricing procedure for the credit note, do the required assignments.. this will meet the requirements
