CWMS Permissions and Email Updates

We are on our 2nd month of running CWMS and so far we are very happy with the product. Couple of questions have popped up so far:
1) Host or Administrator. Will it be possible in the future to delegate a "help Desk" type role to allow a user to have permission to only add/deactivate accounts?
2) Updated Meetings From Web - My Mac users are having to schedule from the website. The biggest complaint is when they have to go in edit and add people to the meeting the newly added do not get a meeting invite. The only solution is to notify all, which if the user has to add new people multiple times creates a flood of emails to the original participants.
3) Support for LDAP? I see there is SSO, possible to sync with LDAP?

I am glad to hear you are so far satisfied with the product. In regards to your questions, here is what we know so far:
1) Host or Administrator. Will it be possible in the future to delegate a "help Desk" type role to allow a user to have permission to only add/deactivate accounts?
- There are some discussion on adding a utility that will allow Help Desk to monitor and manage meetings. I don't believe anything is commited at this time. We strongly advise our customers to reach out to their Cisco Account Teams and work with them to submit Customer Deliverable (CD) request (used to be PERS - Product Enhancement Request) for features they want to see in the product. That way, our Engineering team is aware of customer needs and can evaluate the importance and feasability.

- I don't believe this was brought to our attention already, but again, I would suggest reaching out to your Cisco Account Team and submit a CD to our Engineering team.
3) Support for LDAP? I see there is SSO, possible to sync with LDAP?
- Currently, you can do LDAP integration using the SSO (via SAML). More info can be foudn here:

We are also working on bringing LDAP integration to CWMS via CUCM in the future releases. But, I am not exaclty sure if that will be included in 1.x version, or in 2.x

Before the phone restarts, do you get any error message when trying to update the calendar and the email? Are these updates for the email or calendar apps, or just for their contents? Aside from these two apps, are you able to download the updates for the other apps if there are any? It would be easier for the community to answer your query if you can provide more details about it.

From the information that you have provided, it sounds like your Apple ID has been disabled. You can read this to see how you can troubleshoot that issue.

You can try signing out of your ID on the iPad and sign in with his ID and see if that works.
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Then sign in with your husband's newly created ID.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Repairing permissions before and after updating software

What is the reason to repair permissions before and after updating software? This may sound like a stupid question to many of you, but I am new to computers and I am trying to learn how and why of some of the things of my PowerBook. I installed some updates without repairing permissions. Did I install some software updates the wrong way? Thank you.

This is a topic which will draw as many emphatic for and against responses as overnight shut down or not, defrag or not, optimise or not, and so on.
I agree with Neil. I believe that OS X has progressed sufficiently that repair permissions has become redundant and so I do not do it on any regular basis.
Some folk may refer you to an Apple Support Article 303602. That Article in its 4 May 2006 version, titled "Top 10 Tips to Keep Your Mac in Top Form" suggested Repair Permissions should be done "after upgrading or installing new software". The Article was however revised on 15 May 2006 to be titled "Top Tips to Keep Your Mac in Top Form" and the item on Repair Permissions [along with two other recommended maintenance tips] was removed. It is my view that the conclusion to be drawn here is that Apple no longer considers Repair Permissions to be a required maintenance procedure.
Many users have adopted a "Repair Permissions" mantra for a cure-all over several years. I dropped it sometime in 10.3.

I updated and changed my apple id and email address on my computer but when I sign in on my phone it doesn't recognize either account now. help

If I delete my icloud account so that I can get one that matches my apple id and email and password that I updated due to a new email address, will I lose my contacts and pics and calendars on phone that were synched to icloud. It keeps warning me when i go to delete that any contacts etc saved in the cloud for the device will be lost. If I cant delete this icloud account how will i ever have one that has working email, etc. or attached to my apple id account. I can't even download apps on my phone now bcause it says my id or password is wrong but the account name id on phone and cloud shows up as old inactive address. If all you did was rename your ID, you can go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with your renamed ID. Deleting the account only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with iCloud from your phone, not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing accounts, your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.
If, however, you are changing to a new account with a new ID, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then choose Merge when you sign into the new account and turn your iCloud syncing back on to upload your data to the new account.
Before deleting the account, save you photo stream photos to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

Has anyone else gotten an email supposedly from Apple saying you had missing data and to update? I went to update, gave some info only to see they wanted my credit card info and money. How do I report this and to whom. Impossible to contact Apple.

The iPad was plugged into the iMac to transfer apps etc and asked to update the macs OS. The result is that the last 12 months of emails have gone ( emails not working) as have whatever files were on the desktop. The calendar has also reverted to 2011.
Worse still is adobe software I use for work won't let me open.
Any ideas?

NO VOICE TO TEXT when uploading to an email and use to have it, Steps>take photo>select the photo on bottom left of camera screen>select upload icon>hit mail icon>input address.>select subject or main body, I have no MIC icon to select voice to text. Is there a setting or is it a bug.
I use this function all the time to uplaod images for emailing work related photos daily. the voice to text was great for subject and more info in the body section of the email. Pleae since it is a great time saver for me and tool can i get assistance on fixing it.

When you do an update via a computer's iTunes the update process will backup the device (a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings), wipe the device, install the update, and then restore the backup - the restore would look to pick up your apps, music, films etc from the iTunes library.
You've tried logging out (tap on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app) and back in and seeing if they then show in the Purchased tab, and you could also check to see if the apps are hidden from Purchased : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
If an app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it. You haven't got copies of your apps in your own computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library ?

BAPI or FM to update IBAN and email of a customer

Hi,
I am creating a RFC function module where I need to update the IBAN (International Bank Account Number) of a customer in XD02 or table KNBK.
In the FM I am importing customer number, IBAN and email . The value of IBAN which I am giving as input must get updated against that customer(importing) in table KNBK or XD02.
But my problem is I am not getting any FM that will update the IBAN against that particular customer in XD02.
I have used few FM like CONVERT_IBAN_2_BANK_ACCOUNT, CONVERT_BANK_ACCOUNT_2_IBAN, BAPI_IBAN_CHANGE and many more but none is updating the value with the new input value.
Same problem is with email address when I am trying to update. No FM I have found to update email.
So plz can u help me as how to update IBAN and EMAIL.

First convert IBAN to account with CONVERT_IBAN_2_BANK_ACCOUNT
Then update vendor with class VMD_EI_API method MAINTAIN_BAPI (*) or BDC.

Close out of the mail app, double click the home button and completely close out of the mail app.
Then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for the phone to boot back up.
then check your mail again.

I updated my appleid and email but my purchases disappeared?

But now all my previous purchases have disappeared as if it were a new account (but it isn't, i just "updated" the details) and my iCloud backup data seems to be missing as well. I also cannot login to my previous id/email (it acts as if the account doesn't exist) to try retrieve my data.
The new account tries to purchase apps I've already purchased before I updated the id/email.

It sounds like you may need to update the Apple ID being used for the iTunes & App Store, as described in the article linked below.
