Datasocket connection to remote target

I want to connect two VI with the Datasocket Server using the functions Datasocket read and write.
The datasocketserver receive the data from the VI on the remote target (the PXIcontroller), but the VI on the host recognize no connection (unrecognized protocol).
The URL which I gave them was dstp://x.x.x.x/data .
x.x.x.x stands for each IP of the other system which I want to connect to.
I use XP with Labview 7.1 on the host-PC and  RT Labview as an OS on the PXI controller (PXI-8186).

  • Connect to remote target without giving SYSDBA password

    Hi, I would want to script RMAN backup running from a Catalog Server using windows scheduled job which will backup target running in remote machine.
    Is there a way I can connect to the target in remote machine without giving the password in the script?
    Catalog server and target server are 11.2.0.3
    -Srini

    Hi, I created the wallet with UserA and now I want to put a scheduled job with a service account UserB but am not able to access the wallet.
    Its Windows 2008 and I have explicitly added the UserB as Full permission for the wallet file. The error message is below
    ORA-12578: TNS:wallet open failed
    Am pretty sure its a permission issue - but not sure how to provide the permission. UserB is in Admin Group, ORA_DBA Group, can log-in a batch job .........
    Any pointer greatly appreciated.

  • Unable to initialize connection to remote target

    The device is NI PXI-1010, I can ping the device but I cannot connect it through MAX.  I am using version 4.5.  Whenever I try to set up a new remote system, it cannot find the remote device.  I have tried using both the computer name (which is resolved to an IP address in the hosts file) and the just IP address.  I get this error:  "Unable to initialize connection to remote system(s)."
    I am able to ping the remote computer and but I cannot browse to it in Windows Explorer.

    The PXI-1010 is just a chassis.  What controller are you using?  How is it configured?  What OS does it have?
    If you have a Windows controller, then you probably need to setup sharing, domains, and other network settings.

  • Runtime repository connects on remote system fails in connection

    Hi,
    I've created runtime repository and access users and target schema on linux server through owb server install. Sqlplus onnections from my window2k PC work OK for all 3 users.
    I created a second runtime repository connection from my owb designer on windows2k system. When I bring up deployment manager and try to connect to the remote target through this connection, it fails with RTC-5260:failed to connect to runtime platform...,and ORA_01017:invalid username/password. Also, I notices a java thread on the remote linux server was created each time I tried the connection .
    I have the connection alias under both OWB and OracleDB tnsnames. What's the problem?

  • Connecting to Remote Desktop Published Apps through RD Web Access not working

    Hello,
    I have configured an RD Gateway server. My scenario is like I have a windows 2012R2 server with all RD components (Gateway, web access, connection broker, session host) configured, since this is for a poc. Externally I can access rd web access portal (https://<servername.domain.com>/rdweb)
    and can connect to the target server using "Connect to a remote pc" tab without any issue.
    But I can't connect to any published app from "Remote App and Desktop". The error I recieve is "unable to connect to remote pc. please provide the fully-qualified name......."
    At the same time I can see below errors in event logs related to connection broker:
    Error 802:
    RD Connection Broker failed to process the connection request for user domain\Administrator.
    Error: Element not found.
    Event 1306:
    Remote Desktop Connection Broker Client failed to redirect the user domain\Administrator.
    Error: NULL
    Error 1296:
    Remote Desktop Connection Broker Client failed while getting redirection packet from Connection Broker.
    User : domain\Administrator
    Error: Element not found.
    Googling I could see some posts related to these issues, mentioning about to check the network connectivity between RDCB and the target server. I can defenitely say it is fine and already mentioned I can connect to the same server using "connect to
    remote pc" tab.
    Just FYI, I have this server as Amazon EC2 instance and the domain is configured as Amazon directory service. Can someone please help me at the earliest.. This is pretty urgent as my tasks are pending due to this issue..

    Hi,
    I have seen similar issues with Essential role installed, if it’s installed on the terminal server, please remove it.
    Please also ensure involved machines are fully patched and keep port 443 of the TS server open.
    When external users connect to the Web Access page, are they able to see remote apps? If not, please check whether user assignment setting is configured correctly for remote apps.
    Are users able to open remote apps from internal network?

  • Info on tape channel when connected with remote instance

    Hello,
    I'm trying to debug a problem with Backup Exec to do recovery of an instance against a server different from the original one, using command line
    and so I'm doing some tests isolating some components to keep the problem general...
    Suppose I have a server server_one with Oracle instance TEST and a running listener
    Suppose I have another server server_two with tnsnames.ora configured to reach TEST instance.
    On server_two I have a dummy instance in nomount, called again TEST and where I set ORACLE_SID=TEST
    I run:
    $ rman
    RMAN> connect target sys@TEST <--- remote
    target database Password:
    connected to target database: TEST (DBID=1165152943)
    RMAN> connect auxiliary / <--- local
    connected to auxiliary database: TEST (not mounted)
    RMAN> run {
    2> ALLOCATE CHANNEL ch0 TYPE 'SBT_TAPE';
    3> RELEASE CHANNEL ch0;
    4> }
    ORA-19554: error allocating device, device type: SBT_TAPE, device name:
    ORA-27211: Failed to load Media Management Library
    Additional information: 2
    The question is about my "allocate" channel above:
    Who drives there, the target and so it tries to go remote with the tape in some way or local so it should work, if the local instance/user/oracle installation is configured for tape access?
    Thanks,
    Gianluca

    Ok, stupid me I had to use AUXILIARY in channel specification
    ALLOCATE AUXILIARY CHANNEL ch0 TYPE 'SBT_TAPE';
    With that, now I correctly get:
    allocated channel: ch0
    channel ch0: SID=135 device type=SBT_TAPE
    channel ch0: Symantec/BackupExec/1.1.0
    Thanks anyway...

    After selecting configure in the host text box just try and replace the IP address with the hostname of the node having the 10g database. Do update

  • Cannot connect to the targeted site in Visual Studio 2012

    Hi,
    I am trying to access SharePoint 2013 "qa" sites from development server. When I try to build Visual studio projects,  I am keep getting this below error.
    "Cannot connect to the targeted site. This error can occur if the specified site is not hosted on the local system. SharePoint solutions work only with locally-installed versions of SharePoint Foundation or SharePoint Server. Remote development is supported
    only for apps for SharePoint 2013."
    I tried to change the host file, with the current machine IP address and all. Not successful on that.
    Highly appreciated, for any helpful points here.
    Cheers, R.

    Try the following 2 options:
    Option 1:
    You can use the following command:
    %STSADM% -o deploysolution -name testSharepointSolution.wsp -local -force
    %STSADM% -o deploysolution -name testSharepointSolution.wsp -local -force
    You cannot use -url parameter if your solution package does not have an assembly or feature specific elements(elements.xml).
    You may ask why we need to provide the -url as a parameter? the reason is sharepoint needs to know which web application web.config it needs to add <SafeControl> attribute.
    Option 2:
    Check your scope of your WSP (Farm, Site etc.). Try to use the powershell command :
    Add-SPSolution -identity [drive-path]\yoursolutionname.wsp
    Install-SPSolution -identity yoursolutionname.wsp -webApplication http://siteaddress -GacDeployment
    Even then, if you get the error, try changing the scope of your WSP to farm if you want your resources to be globally available. If not, change the scope of it to specific web application.

  • RMAN-06403 When registering remote target DB

    I'm running Oracle 10.2 Enterprise on RHEL4 (local pc) and Solaris (target db). I have a test db locally on my PC. Do you mean, you can access the target computer using the other computer and not the

    and vice versa? Just make sure that the computers are pinging each other to
    ensure that they are communicating.

    My G4 PowerBook running an earlier version of iTunes connects without problem.

    I just got off a 30+ minute phone call with an Apple Support rep about this. I'm getting error -3256. The rep was patient and tried hard to solve the problem, but was basically clueless. I have a case number and was encouraged to call back tomorrow to speak with a product support specialist.
    This stinks. AirTunes is my primary way of playing music from my computer. With no obvious way of rolling back to iTunes 7, this is a big deal.

  • Datasocket connection failure requires restart of VI

    I'm using LabView RT 8.5 together with a cFP-2110. I have shared variables hosted on the cFP, as the cFP application works by itself without the need of a host PC application. However, a host PC application can be connected and read/write shared variables to work as a GUI. The shared variables are accessed with Datasocket VIs, as the same application is to be used on different cFPs with different IP addresses.
    The Datasocket connections is opened once and then the variables are accessed in a while loop. Before accessing the variables, RT Ping Controllers.vi checks if the cFP is still accessible. If not (or if the Datasocket Read operation fails), the Datasocket connection is closed. Now here comes the problem. When I want to re-establish the connection with Datasocket Open, I only get Error 66 (Connection closed by the peer). The only way I have found to "reset" this behaviour, is to close/stop the host VI and start it again. Is there an easier way to solve this? I assume the reason lies in something not being reset in the connection between the PC and the cFP. But what, and how can it be reset? Note that I have closed the connection with Datasocket Close in case of a failure.
    I do not need answers about how I can avoid the connection failures in the first place. They can e.g. be caused by the cFP being temporarily too busy or something. The issue is when a failure HAS occurred, I want to be able to re-establish the connection without restarting the VI. How?

    Isn't there anyone with similar experiences?
    I would assume that someone would be interested in being able to restore a connection after a failure. Improving connections to minimize the risk of failures is not anyway a 100% solution. Sooner or later a failure will occur. And in that case I am not pleased with having to restart the application in order to get the system back on track.
    I have already tried searching for previous posts regarding this, but the search results are very poor. Any ideas?
