Deleting Workflow definition

I am thinking of using script wfrmitt.sql to drop the design and run time information for one specific item type.
After the delete I am planning to apply the new workflow definition for the same item type.
This is because changes made to the workflow objects are not reflecting in my test instance.
Pl. advise if there is better way of updating the workflow definition.

Problem deleting Workflow Definition Components

I am trying to delete a lookup value which is referenced by a process which posts notification from a message referencing an item attribute of document type. No matter how I tried to delete them in various sequences, I can not escape and error in 'VERIFY'.
Could you please advise as to how to clean up this mess?

Never mind. Got it figured out. I changed the transition label to default and was able to get rid of unwanted definition components.

SharePoint 2013 workflow deployment doens't update workflow definition

In Visual Studio 2013, we can develop SharePoint 2013 workflow and deploy directly in SharePoint. However, once a workflow is deployed and later modified and redeployed, the modified workflow definition doesn't take effects. Even if you retract the solution
and redeploy, the associated workflow with the sharepoint solution doesn't get updated in the SharePoint. Retracting the SharePoint solution then restarting the development server and finally redeploying will reset the workflow definition.

according to links workflow is cached in site so delete it from designer also.

Deleting Workflows in Access Enforcer

Hi,
I am trying to delete 'Paths' in AE and receive the below error.
<b> Error deleting Workflow Path. There are about 20 requests tied to this path.</b>
This is in the sandbox and the processing of requests does not really matter.
The 20 requests were for New Account creation, because of errors in Auto Provisioning the requests were not processed through the entire path, and were set to CANCEL status via the administartion function.
Despite setting to CANCEL I am unable to delete the path. Do we have a procedure/step to be able to delete a path in AE?

I need to delete workflows that need to be retired. I am veryvery new to workflows. So, what is the Tcode to delete the entire workflow? also, what are the steps that need to be check upon deleting them? i need to delete their custom tables/function modules as well. Can I delete the workflow in one shot? or i need to delete task by task..? thanks in advance

Hi,
Prior to deleting a workflow first Delete/Cancel all the workitems of that workflow. It will help you to avoid unnecessary dump while executing those workitems. Its better to cancel the workitems if it is a productive system.
To delete workflow delete the following items in below mentioned order.
1. Workflow
2. Tasks
3. BO/Classes

Delete workflow from repository

Hi, Actually i renamed some worflow and its child as well and want to move from dev repository to production repository.but if I move these it will create new copy of workflow with renamed name.So now I want to delete the old copy of work flow from the repository which is of no use. But as the old copy of workflow contains Some reusable cmd task. Which are being used in some other work flow.Let me know if I delete old copy of workflow from repository will I loss those reusable cmd task as well? Also let me know from where I should delete workflow in this case from repository manger or from workflow manager Plz help in this.

Hi All, I have a scenario to implement.Need urgent help. I have relational source which has below fields. ID,Account,AccountType,Balance1,1001,GL,46567.901,1002,SL,56889.971,1003,Equity,45543.9081,1004,GL,89.541,1005,SL,-56889.971,1006,Equity,-45543.9081,1007,SL,-42777.45 Here my first requiremnt is to check if the balance value for entire file is 0 and if balance amount for each AccoutType is 0 , if both condtionn satifies the flow will go , else load will fail. I tried in below approach. SQ >> Expression >> Aggregator In aggregaor i have first calculated sum(balance) for entire file by group by on ID column in an aggregator , and keep actual data in expression transformation. Then i took an expression to connect actual data with the sum(balance) , since i need to perform further calculation.I tried connecting expression and aggregator , but it is not allowing me to connect the posrts. And if i am using a joiner , then wrong data is loading to target. It is joining each result of aggregator with actual ports in expression. I am not sure how to handle this scenario, so that we can just calculate sum of entire file and sum on basis of account type , is both sum are 0 then load the target , else fail.

Workflow definitions disappear

Hi,
All my workflow definitions built over the last few hours using the standalone Workflow Builder 2.6.3 have mysteriously disappeared.
Whan I opened the wft, there was nothing there !! Even under Show/Hide Item Types, both the lists are empty.
Is it possible to recover my work ??

Hello,
We (or at least me) have not come across such a behavior before, but I do have a habit of saving often - whether it is a word document or workflow definition.
However, to understand why this may be happening - the flow definition during constructing all resides in memory. So, if the PC is running low on memory and has any other OS related issues, it may be raising some fault which are not handled by the builder.
So, adding an auto-save feature in the next generation of builder will be good idea i guess!!

Workflow Customizing Error: "Workflow: No workflow definition found"

Hi experts,
I am currently configuring Workflow on our newly installed ECC 6.0 using the Automatic Workflow Customizing (SWU3).
I was able successfully executed all necessary items including the RFC destination but when i choose the 'Start Verification Workflow', this error appears: "Workflow: No workflow definition found".
I tried logging in and out of the system, and repeating the execution of each item but the same error still occurs.
I read a thread that says it might do something with WF-BATCH but i was able to set it as the RFC destination; WF-BATCH has the following settings in SU01:
Username: WF-BATCH
User Type: System
User Group: SUPER
Authorization: SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW
Hope somebody can help me resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Hi Dex,
Have you maintained the Number ranges in Transaction SWU3?
If so, then test the workflow from SWDD itself.
I think you gave the wrong workflow ID in the SWUS transaction.
First try with SWDD and then check it in SWUS Transaction.

Getting dump during opening the workflow definition

Hello Experts
I created one Workflow 2 months before and it was working fine till yesterday. when I check the workflow definition by clicking on push button 'Workflow builder' from transaction 'PFTC', I got dump.it is not opening workflow definition.
I tried to open the workflow definition is from transaction 'SWDD' but I got dump from there as well.
the short text of the short dump is 'Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible'
I check the tables and all the steps included in workflow is present.
Could you please let me know what could be the issue and how can I resolve it.

Hi Vibhor,
Is this issue happening with all the users trying to open this particular workflow?
If this is a user specific issue, then it could be authorization or roles related. Else it could be more serious than it looks like.
Also, check with the basis team if there were any OSS notes / patches applied in the system since yesterday which could have resulted in this issue.

In the bottom left of screen it displays message : "Container Element ZBUS2081 is not used".

We have already checked OSS Note 962488 and it did not resolve our problem. Besides we had a look at the forum Workflow without approval not working

Hi Emre,
In our case the problem was in several confirmation standard workflows.
In the workflow builder (SWDD) we use the navigation Area to check every workflow. I mean we did double click in each step, if the step had a subworkflow, then we open the subworhflow, checked it, and if it appeared the same error we used the function module for the subworkflow.
In this way we achieved to solve the problem. I hope this helps you.

In the receiver data i have:

any ideas as to why this is happening ?
The workflow has no errors and it is being generated correctly with no warnings and no errors

Go to SWDD and activate the workflow template. Then go to SWU_OBUF and refresh the buffers, and then refresh the org environment using the option in SWUD-->Problem:Workflow Does not start menu path. Test your event again
If still no joy goto SWUD go to Test Environment and select simulate event taking note of the messages code displayed.

HELP!! Oracle Files workflow definition needed! Please read!

Please read the following and help me if you can. It is really a very important and urgent issue.
We're in the middle of the OCS installation (precisely in the end of the storage layer). We have now to configure workflow, since this has to be done BEFORE the application (middle-tier) installation.
One of the steps is loading the workflow definitions (.wft files) which will be used by Oracle Files. But the instructions we received say thses files are MISSING in LINUX installations (just like ours!).
So if you have these .wft files in your installation please PLEASE mail them to me ([email protected]) as soon as possible. Documentation says these files are located in <oracle home>/ifs/files/admin/config. Probably you can also access them through Oracle Workflow Builder.
I will be forever grateful to all of you that help me with this stuff! ;)

Both of these issues sound like they should be directed to Adobe.
In the first case, it sounds like the file opens fine in Adobe, but once you combine this with other files and resave you get this error when you try and open the files again. It's Adobe that's saving the files at this point (Reports is pretty much out of the picture). You may want to try with Reports 9i, where a higher level of PDF is output, but that doesn't mean that Adobe shouldn't deal with the earlier versons.
In the second case, Reports outputs PostScript via the standard windows printer drivers and APIs - there's no special settings for this (in fact it looks like this is a standard initialization parameter for the printer). Again, you should probably contact Adobe for more assistance.

Deleting Color Definitions

Hi All,
This is FM 10.
I have a large number of color definitions defined in the template. Please see the attached image. They have names like: RGB 000.048.127 etc.
I want to delete these definitions. I am defining a new set of colors for the template and new definitions are appearing at the end of the list. I need to browse through the entire list.
The problem is mysterious, when I try to delete these definitions, FM do ask for a confirmation whether to delete, but upon clicking OK, FM do not actually delete the entry. It do not give any errors either. They are right there, even after deleting.
Please let me know how can I get rid of them.

In addition to Anis's suggestion, Rick Quatro has a color definitions clean
up Framescript (may be part of another package) that zeros all the color
definitions out.
