while i am posting f-90 asset e. auqsiation its giving error massage
"Customizing inconsistency (contact your system administrator)
    Message no. AC496
    Diagnosis
Company code BP01 manages parallel currencies in Asset Accounting. For each area that posts automatically online to FI, you have to define one dependent depreciation area that adopts both identical values and depreciation terms from depreciation area 01, and which is assigned to currency type 60 and currency INR. There is no depreciation area of this type defined for depreciation area 01.
    Procedure
    Check your Customizing settings."

    Hi Venkat,
Create a New Depreciation area with APC Values and Depn values identical to Value 01.
    Then goto valuation> currencies
Specify the Use of Parallel Currencies> and assign the currency type and valuation view to the new depn area. tick the identical values
    then goto
Define Depreciation Areas for Foreign Currencies> give the parallel currency against the depn area
    Now try doing the transaction.
Please revert back if you still have any issues.

  • Post revaluation to selected depreciation area for an asset

    Hi,
We are using depreciation area '01' for posting to GL accounts and '02' for fiscal reporting. It turned out that couple of assets had wrong depreciation key specified for depreciation area '02', which resulted in wrong depreciation calculated for '02' in last 3 years.
We would like to correct it now, once we discovered this issue. One of the ideas was to create new revaluation transaction type which is active only for depreciation area '02', which will only change value of asset in that particuaral area without affecting correct '01',
However, after configuring new transaction type in AO84 and assigning it to '02' depreciation area in OAXJ, when I tried to run ABAW for this asset - it gave me error AA 380.
+Inconsistency between the specifications for transaction type Z11 and for the depreciation areas in chart of depreciation PTI.
Depreciation area 02 is defined (in Customizing), so that it is required to take over values from area 01. However, one of these ares cannot be posted to, due to the specifications in transaction type Z11. This combination is not allowed.+
Is it possible to configure postings only to one depreciaton area? If not - is there any other easy way of revaluating only one depreciation area for an asset.
    Thank you,
    Karol

    Hi Blaz,
Thank you for your reply. I am trying to increase the value of the asset in depreciation area 02, because due to wrong depreciation key it got fully depreciated last year in 02. I want to add the value to 02 which should have not been depreciated in last 2 years. Is there a way to increase its value using ABAA?
    Thank you,
    Karol

    hi
You should use the local rules for depreciation area 01 = local book and
set up your group rules in another depreciation area such as 30 where you can use different GAAP & use relevant depreciation Key.

  • Creating depreciation area for non leading ledger

    Hi,
I want to configurate a depreciation area for a non-leading ledger. This is my scenario:
01-Accounting area leading ledger. Group legder: 0L (on line)
02- Accounintg area non leading ledger. Group ledger N1 (Area posts APC only directly)
03-Depreciation non leading ledger. Grouo ledger N1 (Area posts depreciation only)
Is it correct to created this 2 areas for non leading ledger?
    Thanks,
    Cecilia

    Hi Cecilia,
    additionally to my colleagues:
For each additional set of accounting principles, you create one real  and one derived depreciation area.
    Real Depreciation Area:
    1. In Customizing for Financial Accounting (New), choose Asset Accounting  - Valuation  - Depreciation Areas  -Define Depreciation  Areas.
    2.  Assign both depreciation areas to the same ledger group.
The ledger group you assign them to is not allowed to contain the leading ledger.
    3.  In the Posting in G/L field, choose Area Posts Depreciation Only.
    Derived Depreciation Area:
It is easiest to create the derived depreciation area using the Wizard.
    4. In Customizing for Financial Accounting (New), choose Asset Accounting - Valuation - Depreciation Areas - Set Up Areas for Parallel Valuation.
    5. In the Posting in G/L field, choose Area Posts APC Only.  Specify that this derived depreciation area represents the difference between the real depreciation area for parallel accounting and the
    master depreciation area.
You do not have to set up a separate account set for these new depreciation areas. Instead you use the account set of the master depreciation area. In this scenario, you do not have to create any new  accounts in the chart of accounts or in the company code. You also do  not have to create a new financial statement version.
So a typical dep.area setting for a parallel ledger at you is like:
    T093
    AFABER ABVOR1 AFABE1 ABVOR2 AFABE2 BUHBKT LDGRP_GL
    01...............................00...........................00............1.............0L
    02...............................00...........................00............3.............N1
    03..................+...........01............ - ............02............6.............N1

    Thanks first.
ASKB was "Periodic Assets posting" but in our IMG the G/L posting indictor of prallel depreciation area was 3 (only post depreciation) and 6(only APC directly).
The setting was configured through the SAP wizard "Setup Areas for Paralle valuation".
    Can you give further advice?

  • 2 Depreciation Areas For Different Ledgers

    Dear All,
I'm using 2 depreciation areas (01, 60) for different ledger (L1, L2) due to company requirements. However, during asset retirement, posted amount does not reflected correctly in Ledger 2 (depreciation 60).
Amount displayed correctly in Asset Module but not in FI Documents. Below is the setting in OADB: -
    Area G/L Trgt Group
    01 1 - Real Time Posting L1
    60 3 - area post dep only L2
    80 6 - area posts only APC directly L2
Depreciation were posted corectly into repective depreciation areas & Ledger.
    Please advice!
    Thanks !

    Hi,
You have taken posting GL as 2, i.e.area posts APC and depreciation on periodic basis. In this case you have to run periodic postings "ASKBN" to update the L2 ledger.

  • Donu00B4t Account Depreciation Area for a specific company

We have many companys in the same Chart of Depreciation, but for a particular company i need to stop the account depreciation.
We take a look for a exit or badi to use in transaction AFABN but we saw there aren´t.
Some one know how to do that.

    Hello
    Please review the following note:
687988 Evaluation of operat. deactiv. company codes in next
The indicator 3 'Company code deactivated - later reporting allowed'
is only relevant regarding reporting issues for companies that
have stopped operations in previous years but still need to get
    data from reporting.
Stopping operations in previous years means that values have not been
carried forward during the time up to current year because the
    company was no longer functioning.
In your case this means, if your company indeed had been sold, I assume
that no more assets should exist on the company nor  was there the need
to carry forward the values. All assets should be retired and generally
    be deactivated therefore.
This parameter '3' does not mean that new posting can not be done on a
company code. This parameter is only relevant regarding reporting.
    regards
    Ray

  • Depreciation area for foreign currency acquisitions (EURO)

    Hello,
My client requires that the foreign currency acquisitions (EURO acquisitions) should be tracked in a separate depreciation area (apart from other depreciation areas).
Is there anyway a depreciation area could be selectively populated only based on currency of the procurement/transaction currency?
Any alternatives exist, that would report the foreign currency acquisitons in the asset reporting?
    Thank you,
    Ram

    Hi
Is the purpose to track assets purchased in foreign currency or to see the depreciation on them based on some different rules - say the company has HQ in Europe and wants to see depren as per the rules in HQ country.

  • Depreciation calculation for Indian Tax Depreciation Area - Fixed Assets

Can any one of you kindly advice how to setup the Multi levels methods and Period controls for Tax Depreciation key in Indian Tax Depreciation area.
My Leading ledger Fiscal year: Jan u2013 Dec (Year dependend)
And Non-leading ledger (India) Fiscal year: April u2013 March (Year dependend)
I was able to post correct depreciation for leading and non-leading ledger Depreciation areas with a stated percentage. But the calculation of Tax depreciation area is incorrect.
As per client requirement, Tax depreciation area is setup only reporting purpose and no Depreciation posting.
Required Depreciation Calculation for Tax Depreciation Area:
    For Acquires & Additions,
    Rule1:
If it is >=180 days (as per Non-leading ledger Fiscal year) the system should calculate depreciation as stated percentage. Eg: 10%
    Rule2:
If it is <180 days (as per Non-leading ledger Fiscal year) the system should calculate depreciation of 50% on stated percentage. Eg: Stated percentage is 10%, then it should be 5%.
    Early responses will be appreciated.
    Thanks much for the help.
