Difference in stock value with same quantity
Dear Friends,
one of my user has a problem regarding difference in Stock value. when he had run the report MB52 up to 31/03/2011, and saved his value in temp file and now in current date he is using report MC.9 for same material up to 03/2011. now his problem is difference in stock value while stock quantity is same for particular material. and this thing is correct in all other material.
Are MB52 and MC.9 both reports give same data for same date like up to 31/03/2011 ? if yes then where would be the problem? why difference is coming and what should i need to check? please guide me, i am new in MM.
Thanks
Vijay Sharma
MC.9 is a statistic transaction which is using info structure information as basis, while MB52 basis is normal business data.
Updates for info structure have less priority, which means that it can happen that the update fails, but this does not effect the business transaction in general, and the transaction is not rolled back, which then leads to inconsistencies between both.
To solve this you would need to rebuild the information structure (which is only possible if no postings are made in this time of regeneration).

Difference in stock values after MR21 updation
Here the user has updated a material price using MR21 and after that he tried to execute the MB5L (stock balance MM-FI) to know the stock values in MM & FI records. However, the stock values in MM does not tally with FI values. There is a variance.
While executing MB5L, system has issued a message like this:
"Restriction on this field lead to incorrect results.
The display of selected material records shows the detailed data of the material, but comparing these values with the balance of the stock account may not provide the same result.
Execute the balance comparison at company code level using report RM07MMFI (MM/FI balance comparison)."
Which report the user should use for comparison ?Hello,
MB5L must always be ran at Company code level. Once it is ran, you can get to the Plant/Material level balances by double-clicking the Material GL Account. -
Difference of bench scores with same hardware. Why?
Hello guys!
I've made a benchmark test of my msi gtx 770 in 3dmark 11, and it has showed 144000 score(248000 gpu score and 58000 cpu score).
I saw benchmark test's scores on 3dmark.com and I saw higher than my scores(300000+gpu score) with same hardware(GTX770 + i5 4670K)
Why there are such a big difference in scores with same hardware and how I can increase performance of my hardware?
Sorry for my bad english, I belive you understand me.
My PC:
motherboard:Msi Z87-G45 gaming,
CPU:i5 4670K
GPU:MSI GTX770 gaming 2gb
SSD: A-DATA SP900
2x 4gb ramyour scores of 250000-260000 are typical OC values and people who have 300000+ will either have it at a stupid clock rate or have it water-cooled on the GPU to allow for much higher boosts off it as it will be much cooler......
alot of people who get massive results will have manually clocked the card to probably maximum speed and pushed the Voltage to the Maximum too (that's what they do to get impressive results but that's not sustainable as the GPU will give up if ran like that for more then a few test runs as it will start to burn out the silicon and be very unstable) -
Multiple GR values for same quantity
Hello all SAP MM Gurus,
I have a strange problem. I have a MM scheduling agreement 5500013812 and in this agreement there is one line item for material 651660. The GR has been done for this line item a number of times since 2009. But when I went to purchase order history of this line item, I found that for a quantity of 500 PCs, the system has posted different amounts.
For example, when the GR was done on 02/21/2011 for qty 500, the amount was 706.68 EUR. When the GR was done on 01/31/2011 for qty 500, the amount was 776.94 and when the GR was done on 12/13/2010 for qty 500, the amount posted was 765.57 EUR. This is really puzzling me since there are no price changes in Material master record or in MM scheduling agreement. There are no alloy surcharge price changes also. But still, why the system is posting different amounts for same quantity of this material, I don't understand.
Can someone please tell me whether I am missing something somewhere? Your suggestion would be very much helpful for me in resolving this issue.
Thanks and Regards,
Umakanththis? :-(

How to revaluate negative closing stock value in SAP B1?
Hi all,
I am trying to revaluate those items with the negative closing stock value using Inventory Revaluation. I choose Inventory Debit/Credit for the revaluation type and key in the item code, quantity, +ve value in debit/credit, G/L increase and decrease account.
After I added the Inventory Revaluation successfully , I go and check in the Inventory Audit Report for the specified item but found that the item still with the negative closing stock value.
My major concern here is the items with negative closing stock value do not have any in stock quantity. Can I adjust the negative closing stock value of the items with zero quantity?
Thanks.
Best Regards,
XavierHi all.
Just found out why I cannot do the negative stock value revaluation. When I want to do the inventory revaluation for the items of negative stock value with zero quantity, the journal entry will debited to the wrong account, that is 507040-00-000 (Price Difference Account).
Inventory Revalution for item with zero quantity:

Sample of Charts of Accounts:
[http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/2078/coaq.jpg]
When I do the inventory revaluation for the items where the in stock quantity is greater than zero, the journal entry will debited to the correct account, that is 105011-00-000 (Consumables account).
Inventory Revaluation for item with quantity greater than zero:

Journal Entry:

The items are under the same item group - Consumables

I do not why this will happen when I try to revaluate the items with negative stock value of zero quantity?
Kindly share with me your opions.

Value different for same quantity/material
I am using MB5L report. There I see two entries for a particular material.
ValA Material Total Stock BUn Total Value Crcy Material Description S Document Item
2900 14007969 3.750 M 3,075.90 SAR Material 18928L for flushiing
2900 14007969 3.750 M 14,620.28 SAR Material 18928L for flushiing 1277809 101
why the above same material with same quantity shows different values in MB5L reportDear:
This happens because of different moving average price MAP. Every time there is a MIGO for new PO the system adjust the previous price according to the prices entered at the time of PO creation at the time of MIGO hence moving average price is updated in SAP. Hence its a normal thing to view material price showing different values in MB5L. I hope this clear.

Stock value related to sales return
Hi experts,
When sales return, the return goods captures the current stock value after PGI. What's the system logic for that? U know, the customer wants it to capture the stock value of the responding sales delivery date.
For e.g., the goods (10 ton) is sold in June when the stock value is $10/ton. In July, 2 ton is returned while the stock value is $15/ton. According to the standrad system configuration, the return goods bases on $15/ton to calculate (accounting document in material document after PGI). But the customer want to base on $10/ton to calculate as to keep some financial reports balance.
In case the difference of stock value occurs, is it the only way to adjust material cost via MR21 & the difference of stock by KEU5?Hi Colleagues,
I am facing the same issue with my client.
Here, the project was implemented 5 years back and till now the processes in system were working fine. But, raised a concern on MAP of material during issues and returns.
Client is maintaining MAP for certain materials (includes some FG items also) in Material master data.
During goods issue MAP is captured at say 100/- But, if the stock is being returned into plant after 6 months or so.....then during goods returns, MAP is captured at current prices ..say 95/-.
Now the client want to return the stock at same price during original goods issue i.e at 100/- only. Even if goods return document captures the stock MAP at 100/- ...then where do difference (5/-) will be posted. As per logic difference will be posted to P/L account, but can we see this posting in accounting document of goods return material document?
I think it is not possible in standard process in system. To take up this activity with system modification, can we utilize userexits in MM module? If so, can anybody please tell...which include can we consider to do this.
Thanks & regards,
Praveen. -
Hi,
how determing <b>stock value with reports</b>?
Best regardsHi,
There are quite a few standard reports which will give you the stock value report, you can try
MC.1 to MC.9 (gives you various stock value analysis reports), MMBE, MB5W etc.
Alternatively you can extract this data from MARD table.
If you are looking for a specific report, please let us know the same & we can be more precise in the output.
Hope i was able help you on this issue.

Items with zero stock quantity show negative stock value in Stock reports
When running Stock reports for controlling the stock value towards the GL accounts, some items appear with zero stock quantity, but the report still shows a stock value (negative value in my case)
How can this happen, and how can I correct this situation ?
System parameters are : negative stock is not allowed, Items with zero cost price not allowed. On item level average cost price method is used.
P.K.JohnsenHi Johnsen,
I believe you have checked the" Manage Inventory by warehouse". I have noticed this issue in SAP B1 2005B but this is rectified in 2007B. The system behaves in this way as the system maintains item cost for the item for all warehouses and even if the stock is not present in the warehouse, the system would still show you a value for the same. Hope this helps. please search the forum. You'll find related threads.
Thanks,

Stock Quantity & Stock Value at vendor on a Particular Date
HI,
My client requirement is to get a report for Stock Quantity & Stock Value at vendor on a Particular Date .
Please give suggestions to get the stock & value in tables or Any standard T.codes
Note : I am getting Stock qty on paricular date In MB5B & S_P00_07000140 , but not getting the values
Regards,
PRHI,
we can get this report thru SAP standard without vendor selection, do the following steps
1. goto MB5B
2. Give plant /material details
3. give selection date
4. select stock type option as special stock
5. select special stoct indicator as "O" for material provided to vendor
excute the same , you will get a report with qty and value posted for the vendor from the plant
here by copying this standard program we can add one more input parameter as vendor, then we can get this report vendorwise also.
try this and let us know

Inventory Valuated Stock Value is not matching with R/3
Dear Friends,
we are in a big mess.Needed your help urgently
We are in sap netweaver 2004s.We are implementing the standard business content only for one of our client.We have loaded the Inventory data into BW by following "How to handle the Inventory Management" document.
We have loaded the inventory data into 0IC_C03 using standard transferrules and update rules.
The sequence we followed as:
IN R/3
Filled the setup tables for during the posting free time(non-business hours)
Stock intialization
Material Movements
Evaluations
IN BW
We had loaded the data into only 0IC_C03 cube using standard update rules(no changes done)
2LIS_03_BX-Generate intial stock with no marker update unchecked
2LIS_03_BF-Full update with no marker update checked
2LIS_03_UM-Full update with no marker update checked
When we compared the data between R/3 and BW they are many materials "Valuated Stock Value" is not matching with R/3.For some materials value is matching with R/3 but for some other materials its not matching with R/3.Some materials are showing the negative figures for Valuated Stock Value.
But the valuated quantity value is exactly matching with R/3 for all the materials.
We have tryed to many ways in the past 10 days to find out the solution.We have followd the notes 589024 and implemented the formula.But no luck so far.
Needed your help..Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Please help us with your inputs.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
SoujanyaHi Sudheer,
No We haven't implemented this note.
In start routine we already have the first start routine in the note.
INSERT BEGIN
loop at DATA_PACKAGE.
if DATA_PACKAGE-stockcat eq 'V' or
DATA_PACKAGE-stocktype eq 'V'.
delete DATA_PACKAGE.
endif.
endloop.
if abort is not equal zero, the update process will be canceled
ABORT = 0.
INSERT END
We should comment the above start routine and follow the remaining section as below?
==========================================================
Notes:
However, if you want a report of these consumption values, proceed as follows:
1. Do not use the start routine listed above.
2. Create two new key figures (cumulative values):
1. Material consumption value (ZVERWERT, for example) with unit 0BASE_UOM
2. Material consumption quantity (ZVERMENGE, for example) with unit 0LOC_CURRCY
3. Include these in the InfoCube definition.
4. Update these key figures from 2LIS_03_BF as follows:
-> material consumption value:
IF ( COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '100' "Other Issues
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '101' "Returns / Vendor
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '104' "Material Transfer
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '105' "Stock Adjustment InvD
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '106' "Stock Adjustment Other
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '110' ) "Issues from Stock
"Transfers
AND COMM_STRUCTURE-bwapplnm EQ 'MM'
only movements which are relevant for stock control
AND COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc <> 0
AND COMM_STRUCTURE-stockcat EQ 'V'
AND COMM_STRUCUTRE-stocktype EQ 'V'.
result value of the routine
RESULT = -1 * COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc.
if the returncode is zero, the result will be updated
RETURNCODE = 0.
ELSEIF ( COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '000' "Other Receipts
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '001' "Goods Receipt/Vendor
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '004' "Material Transfer/"Receipt
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '005' "Stock Adjustment InvD
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '006' "Stock Adjustment Other
OR COMM_STRUCTURE-processkey EQ '010' ) "Receipt from Stock
"Transfer
only movements which are relevant for stock control
AND COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc <> 0
AND COMM_STRUCTURE-stockcat EQ 'V'
AND COMM_STRUCUTRE-stocktype EQ 'V'.
result value of the routine
RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc.
if the returncode is zero, the result will be updated
RETURNCODE = 0.
ELSE.
if the returncode is not equal zero, the result will not be updated
RETURNCODE = 4.
ENDIF.
if abort is not equal zero, the update process will be canceled
ABORT = 0..
-> material consumption quantity:
The code is the same, but COMM_STRUCTURE-cpquabu replaces COMM_STRUCTURE-cppvlc.
-> The characteristic value calculation is the same for the other key figures.
5. Update these key figures from the 2LIS_03_UM in the same way.

Materials with Zero Quantity in Stock
Hi Experts,
I am preparing a Customized Stock Summary Report.
I have two queries.
1. How do i find Materials with Zero quantity in Stock????
Is searching for MATNR based on MENGE value 'SPACE' correct way to go about it?
2. How do i find number of same materials in the same plant ?????
Points will be awarded for the helpful answers.
Cheers
Gaurav RaghavHi Vineet,
Thanks for the quick solution.
I got point 1.
Just confirm whether i understood it correctly.
If a search for MATNR based on Field LBAST i.e Valuated unrestricted-use stock in table MARD, i will get all materials with Quantity Zero.
Have i understood correctly????
I guess i was not clear with my second point.
let me try once more.
My selection criteria is based on Plant.
Therefore i guess same materials under PS & JS are redundant.
So i want to display SKU excluding all Deleted Materials.
How do i go about it???
I have already coded to select deleted materials.
Cheers
