Hi,
Planned order- Request for a plant to trigger the production of a product, in a specific quantity and at a specific date.
Planned ind.Req. Planned requirement quantity for a product over a given period of time.
Dependent requirements- Planned material requirements which are caused by the production of higher-level assemblies. In the MRP procedure, dependent requirements are automatically created for the components which are necessary for the production of a planned order

  • Planned order creation via MRP depends, If we change Delivery date in STO

    Hi,
Planned order  creation via MRP depends, If we change Delivery date in Stock transfer Order.
I created STO with delivery date as 31.1.2012 and when i checked MD04, i can see Planned order created on 27.2.2012 with the same above STO quantity .
Now when i changed the delivery date as 30.1.2012 and runned MD03, and then checkd MD04, planned order disappeared.
Why Planned order got created when STO delivery date was 31.1.2012 and when I changed the delivery date in PO, planned order disappeared.
    MRP profile details :
    Plnd delivery time   1
    GR processing time   1
    Planning time fence  38
    Tot. repl. lead time 38
Can you please let me know why system is beaving in this manner?

    Hi,
Normally , MRP runs based upon the requirements. If your STO is created for a date , system checks through the availabiloty check wheather there exists any stock for that date to get deliverred in the supply plant .If there exists for that date the stock , planned order will not be created. If no stock available then a planned order will be created in MRP.
cHECK the availability check parameters assigned to material master in supply plant.

    Process Order:
Process order / Production order are activities within a business, where the production planning team team creates to absorb costs / evaluate costs / and check against planned figures. There would integration between MM/FI/PP to create such orders and process.
    Planned Order:
A request created in the planning run for a plant to trigger the procurement of a plant material for a certain quantity for a specific date.
    Purchase Order:
A request or instruction from a purchasing organization to a vendor (external supplier) or a plant to deliver a quantity of material or to perform services at a certain point in time.

  • Conversion of Planned order to PR and Dependent Requirements

    Hello Everyone,
I had two issues to be dealt with..
    1. When i run my MRP run for a specific plant i do not want the system to automatically convert planned orders to Purchase requisitions for specific material in specific plant. How do i Configure the same?
    2. I use planning strategy 40 for the header material. During MRP run dependent requirements are automatically  raised for lower level components. But how does the user know which planned order is generated for which higher level order?
Moreover, since the same raw material is used in multiple  finished  materials, a single planned order is raised for the same raw material. This makes it all the more complex.
I think Individual/ Collective requirement does not help in this case because i am using stategy group 40 which is a MTS strategy.
Any help in both these cases would be greatly appreciated..
    Sincerely,
    Aji

    1) Select the indicator "3"- Planned Orders in the MRP Screen or in a Variant you use to schedule the MRP
    2) Under a make to stock scenario, requirements are summarized in a planned order (or many, according to the lot size key). But in general as the stock is generic and not customer-specific, there is no assignment of planned order to a given customer.

  • Planned Order for stock and planned order for customer requirement

    Hello everybody
I want to make a different, in MD04,   between the planned order for stock and the planned order created for a customer requirement
    Thank for your help

    Hi,
True planned order are generated for both the cases but the planned order generated for sales order will have sales order number in the below column and for stock will show independent requirement. Mainly no sales order reference will be there for make to stock scenario.
    Hope it will help.

  • Multiple planned orders for a requirement

    Hi,
We have PPDS MRP with NEW shelflife w/ lot size profle run for product and produces multiple planned orders for the the requirements.
I have a requirement of 4,750 and 14,976 in the system and available stock 86,966.
The system creates two planned orders with 34,632 and 26,771 PCs.
Why is the system creating two order instead of one??
The min. lot size is 1876 and rounding is 936.
can somebody tell me what factors the system is considering??
    Thanks.

    Hi Visu,
Which lot size procedure you are using , please check in lot size tab in Product master, it should be lot for lot.
if it is lot for lot , please change it to by period and weekly , is it change the planned order quantity ?

  • Planned order for Collective requirement

I have parent material who is having child which is colloective material.
When I increases quantity for child item and do plant lavel Mrp then everytime new planned order is created . Iam expecting changes in existing planned order.
I had chosen planning mode in Mrp run screen as delete and recreate planning data.
Is there is any other config setting for this.
Also tell me how to creat to have default operation details in  production order which is created with material or without material. Is there is any other config setting for this.??

    Hi,
You can use delete and recreate option or u can choose adapt planning in planning mode. There is no specific configuration is required.
Routing is always created with reference to plant and material specific, when u r creating the production order, the system will automatically pick up the routing, which contains the operation details.
Without material if you creating a production order, you need to attach the reference operation set. Reference operation set is created with reference to plant and without reference to material.

  • Planned order date on requirement date

    Hi ,
My indepenedt req is maintained for monday .By backward scheduling it gets planned on friday(i.e production endson friday)
How i can schedule the production to take place in current week . That is for PIR entered on monday , the production should be planned in the current week.
Are there any settings in lot size   ?
    Regards
    ShankarR

    Hi,
PIR date is the requirement date.
When you run MRP with this date, the system checks for Avaialble Stock and receipts and does the Net requirement calcualtion.procurement selection, BOM explosion and scheduling.
When it comes to scheduling, it looks for the requirement date and schedules it based on the scheduling parameters maintained for the Planned orders.OPU3
You can set the scheduling type as  it forward or Current date scheduling .
If you set the Current date scheduling, the system will consider the start date as today and does the scheduling, if after the scheduling the availability date is past the requirement date anexception message is raised.
Hope this clarifies , please revert if you need any details.
    regards

  • Dependant Requirements and Planned Orders

    Hi,
For dependant requirement, question is whether once the planned orders (of independent requirements) are converted to production orders, then only will the dependant requirements be converted to planned orders…or it is converted once independent requirements are converted to planned orders? I.e. independent requirements are blown down all the way in MRP.
    Thanks.
    Rgds,
    Sue

    Hi,
Let us take some example so that it is easier to explain.
    Material A - Finished Good
    Material B - Raw material
PIR generated for A - 100 Nos , MRP is run and Planned order created for A - 100 Nos. Now
For Mtl B Dep reqt is generated for 100 Nos.
If No stock is available then a planned order for 100 nos generated.
IF Stock is availabel then no planned order is generated.
When production order is created for Mtl A then the "dep reqt" status of Mtl B changes to
    "ordres"(order reservation)status.U can check this MD04.
    Thanks and regards,
    Rajesh

  • MRP generates another plan order after the first paln order is converted

    Dear All,
    Please help regarding my problem.
I do have one SO contains this variant item.
After running the MRP, it generates plan order for that SO item.
Then i converted it to production order. But when i run again MRP, it generates again a plan order for that requirement.
Could you help me why? It should be not since i have a production order for the demand right? or no?
Item has a settings in MM as PD, lot for lot qty, NO check for availability.
I'm hoping you could help me with my problem. is this a configuration error?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
We have similar kind of problem in PM . However , I have couple of question on your  MTO order  if you can help us :
1.Did your Sales Order goes on Credit check  and you release the credit block after frist time MRP run and subsequent Production Process ?
2.Did you change the pricing date in VA02-Sales Order  and again it goes to credit hold?
3.Did you carry out the planned cost at Sales order level fro MTO based on any changes in your BOM/Routing ?
4.Which Version of SAP are you working on ?
5.Why there is no Avaialibility check ? In that case , Sales Order -VA02-If you perform ATP then it will confirmed you the qty even it is not availablle .
I think as long as your MTO sales order in credit hold  , it will not pass the requirement to MRP   and MRP will not create planned order if the overall status is Blocked .In this case what is happing is , when you are going to deliver the Sales Order qty , pricing date is getting changed and it is going credit hola as well getting released in VKM3/VKM4 .At this juction , requirement is passing to MRP ( it should not happen if the order in credit check ) .Its totall depends on the link between Requirement Type , Requirement Class  and Planning Startagey group in PIR of customizing  .
Check the following SAP Note ( some of them are patches required for this issue -we had similar kind of problem in PM )
    1.80891   2.1011425   3.1012344    4.408651   5.433832   6.394751
Just to cross verify the below configuration changes :
    1. Maintenance of the parameters of the requirements class of the sales order-OVZG
2.Define the parameters of the requirements class of planned independent requirements-OMPO
3.Define parameters for Requirement types to requirements classes-OVZH-Check the requirement Type 105/106
4.Define Planning Startegy -SPRO-MRP-PIR -Check the Requirement Type
I suggest you to refer SAP Note 80891  and related note like 377165/744305
    All the best

  • Planned order Vs.Purchase order

    Hi,
can you tell me major differences between a planned order and  a purchse order.

    Hi,
Planned Order : Planned Order is generated by the planning logic, or arithmetical procedures, of the system itself with MRP set. When MRP is re-run after the closed-loop transactions are fed back into the system, all existing planned orders are deleted and a new set is generated. However, the newly generated planned orders may be identical to the previous set in timing and quantity, so that it will appear to the system user as if the old plans have simply been somewhat revised. The use always of planned orders in closed-loop MRP ensures that plans are always in synchronisation and that the planner does not need to concern himself with rescheduling messages.
Purchase Order: The purchase order is a formal company document which conveys the instructions or detail of a required supply. The legal role of the purchase order in forming the contract of supply will vary with circumstances: most usually, it will be an offer, such that the supplier's acceptance of it at the price mentioned seals the contract, but it might alternatively be the acceptance of an offer (say, an order placed immediately against the supplier's tender.) The document itself may also be used by the company simply to convey detail, perhaps being a call-off for material against a yearly contract already in existence. The purchase order might convey a summary of substantial material to be delivered at various times in the future by special order forms.

  • How to find out manual deletion of planned orders in APO.

Planned orders are created on multiple bom levels when we call CTP from GATP for sales orders. For particular sales order there is no planned ordere at lower level. Dependent requirement is there which is uncovered.
I want to find  somebody has deleted this planned order manually in apo. How to find out the same?
    Regards,
    Santosh

    Hi Santosh,
If you suspect that the planned order was created but later on deleted manually, there is a cross check you can do to determine that.
In case of MATP, System uses the higher level Planned Order number to create the Dependent Demand at the lower level and only when this dependent demand is covered by a planned order it assigns the corresponding planned order number to it. So if you see the dependent demand number with same  number as the higher level planned order for which it was created, you can be sure that a planned order was not created to cover the dependent demand that you see uncovered.
If the dependant demand number is not same as the planned order at higher level, then the planned order to cover the dependent demand was deleted.
I guess CTP also works the same way. If you're unsure about this, test it out.
    Hope it helps.

  • After firming planned order, new planned order is generating in MRP run

    Hi Experts,
I am using SAP AFS. Planning strategy is 21- MTO with Project settlement. MRP type is PD. Lte size is EX. Procurement type is X.
We are using the production versions. Individual / collective reqmts is 1. Planning time fence is not maintained.
In sap AFS T.Code for MRP run is /n/afs/md02. After receiving the Sales order, MD04 screen gets updated accordingly and I am running the MRP.Planned orders are generated accordingly. I am firming the planned order manually through MD04. The satr mark is also appearing.
My problem starts now. If I am running  the MRP again for the same requirements another planned order of the same qty. is getting generated. That means after the second MRP run, I am having two planned orders (one firmed plnd order) and second is the new planned order. My requirement is that MRP should not generate any new Plnd. order / PR's if there is no new Sales order.
The parameters for MRP run are "1" for "Create PR's", '1" for "Plng Mode" and '"1" for "scheduling ".
I have tried in all the possible ways, but of no use. Still new plnd order is generated after firming the 1st plnd. order in MRP run.

    Thanks all for your feedback..
    @ Vishal
    1. Yes, Both Old firmed planned order and newly generated planned order have the same grid value
    2. For both the planned orders :
Special Stock is E u2013 Orders on hand,
    Consumption is V,
Sales order is the same (As we are using MTO , Strategy 21) and same WBS element.
    3. First planned order is not in the assigned tab of MD04. This means that has been allocated to some object. u2013 I didu2019nt got this point. Can u please elaborate?
    @ Nikhil
    1. Quantity of sales order is not reducing after firming the sales order
    2. Account assignment category for both the planned orders is u201CZu201D - Indiv.cust./project
I have made some more observations and found the following differences between the two planned orders
From  MD04 , keep the cursor on corresponding planned order
& click on upward arrow ( available on bottom side of the report).
It will show what will be the originating requirements i e. for which requirements this planned order generated.
For Firmed planned order it is taking me to screen u201CPegged Requirements

  • Availablity Check and Planned order

    Hi,
In Material Master Record in MRP3 view , we have a field for "Availablity Check".
Whether it is required for MRP run ?
As we are not doing any stock transfer orders , as SD module is not implemented.
    So my Question is :
    1) Whether "Availablity Check"field is required for MRP run?
    2) While running MD03 Transaction we see Planned order getting generated....What is the use of it and Can we avoid this Planned orders to get generated?
    Utsav

    Hi,
Availabilty check will check the available stock of the material as per its defiunition .
When the material is MRP material if there exists a requirement for the material either in the form of a sale order or planned independant require ments, SAP checks these requirements anb compares with the available qty and generates the requirements like planned orders , which in turn will get converted into either PRs or Orders depending upon the procurement type of the material in MRP view.
If your material is not related to MRP this data need not be maintained

ansewe to your first question yes
second question:Planned order is a requirement generated for the short fall of the material when checked with the avauilability check. It can be converted into either PR or Order depending upon the procurement type.
If do not want the planned order to get generated means material need not be maintained with MRP.Means you does not want the shortfall requirement to get generated(if this is your criteria)
Please reply back if you are not satisfied with the answer.

    hi
How to identify a planned order ref to sale order created manually MD11 or created by MRP run MD02.
is there any table entries plaaned order and transaction codes?
i got two planned orders qty1 and qty5  from a client for same sale order item.
    what could be possibilites.
    -ashok

    Dear,
    Couple of check,
    1) Check  Lotsize ?
    2)Planning strategy?
    3)Individual /collective requirements indicator in MRP4 view?
For MTO, you will get one Planned Orders per one requirement element.
So, you are getting number of Planned Orders for FG?
For MTS Scenarion, the Lot Size EX will work just like the Daily lotsize (TB).
So, system will club all the requiremnts per day and propose the Planned Orders for 1 day requirements.
You will get separate planned orders for the Next day.
    Hope clear to you.
