Doctype problem

Hi,
I am developing webpages by creating templates through
dreamweaver. I use asp code. I just discovered that when I view the
source code through a browser, the doctype doesn't appear. The
webmaster checked the asp code and said it was fine. Could the
missing doctype declaration be linked somehow to the templates?
Will creating pages based upon templates somehow hide code and make
other code visible when viewing source code in a browser? Here is a

Move the DTD declaration between the ASP code and the
<html ...> element and
see how it goes.
As a side note, you may want to pick another doctype as your
markup is not
"clean" enough for "strict".

Implementing 9.0, they are in UAT, experiencing performance delays on timeadmin and timesheet page when using apply rules button, they have quite a bit of rules and when number of users increase to 30 concurrent users severe performance issue are experienced on timesheet, at this point they are more concerned with the timesheet performance than the time admin performance, they have delayed their go live date until this issue gets resolved.

WebElements, Custom HTML and missing !DOCTYPE

In our Crystal Reports, we are using a combination of the WebElements library along with a custom HTML function library to display advanced HTML elements for parameter selection. Our custom HTML library contains some JQUERY UI components. We are using IE7. Our BO environment is R3 SP4.
The issue that I have encountered is that the JQUERY UI components require a valid <!DOCTYPE> specification to render correctly - such as <!DOCTYPE HTML> or <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> but from my research, the Crystal Report Viewer appears to not be adding a valid <!DOCTYPE> specification to its HTML stream (which most modern HTML always includes).
Without the presence of a valid <!DOCTYPE> specification, IE7 is rendering the HTML in a "BackCompat" mode instead of a "CSS1Compat" mode.
Any help in overcoming this issue - or getting SAP to add <!DOCTYPE> to the Crystal Report viewer - would be greatly
appreciated!

This thread and also my problem deals with DOCTYPE problems within BW 3.5 Web Application Designer using standard web templates. The websites are generated/rendered by a class called CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE which inserts javascript before the DOCTYPE tag.
One solution would be to change the standard class by:
1. Creating a new class inheriting from CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE
2. Overload the method RENDER, copy all code and concatenate at the end of the method the DOCTYPE element to the member n_sx_output-string
3. Adjust the setting of the default template within the table RSRRENDERERATR for the key REN_NAME=CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE, ATTR_NAME=NAME. Change the field VALUE from "CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_TEMPLATE" to the new class.
This solution should work, but is kind of crappy and the risk for side effects on other renderings is too high.
I was not able to find the note mentioned in the posting of Joel Blackthorne. What does "customer note" mean?

Error in updating benefit plan IT0171...for CE

Hi All,
Presently in SAP, the benefit main assignment for concurrent employee is done using the transaction for benefit workbench.
I need to updated Infotype 0171 for concurrent employee from my Z-program. But here I am facing an eror which is given below:
1. I am change the data for IT0171 using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION (eg. CE 40, has 2 assignments pernr 40 and 52). Now the default in the benefit workbench is 40, so when i am changing assignment from 40 to 52, I am passing BENGR and BSTAT from 40 to 52 and trying to update 40 with blank value.
Bt here i am getting error in IT0171 for pernr 40, tht BAREA, BENGR and BSTAT cannot be updated with blank value (whereas the same happens in benefit workbench)
2. I am not able to solve this coz I am using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION in my program and this FM is also used in HRBEN00CEWB.

Error while opening Reports URL

I'm facing problem while opening Oracle 11g Reports URL. I was able to start the WLS_REPORTS. The status of the same in Oracle EM is up. But when I try to open the reports using http://<servername:port>/reports/rwservlet
I ensured that the port entered in the reports_install.properties file and httpd.conf is the same.

when me and end users are trying to open scheduled workbooks . getting a java error . the error is

The etc/hosts file needs to be changed from 127.0.0.1 host to the physical IP address before the start of the installation of 11.1.1.5.

The problem is when I execute -config dbcontrol db
I CAN connect from sys anyway I recreated it

I even give administrator privileges to local services
The interesting is appears the line "Introduzca la siguiente informaci¾n:", this means enter the following information, as if it would need another parameter, I tried to enter all parameters I could and this problem persisted.

Looks fine in FF and Safari, disaster in IE8

This site displays as I set it up in FF and Safari for Windows. In IE8, it is a disaster. The menu spacing is doubled and the main image is way down in the page. I'm guessing it is a CSS and/or Doctype problem, but have not figured it out. Can someone help??

Give your page a valid document type. As it stands now, you're page is in Quirks Mode which produces unexpected results.
Modify > Page Properties > Title/Encoding. Select either HTML or XHTML transitional.
Also, I'm not sure you need Float:Right on your #mainContent division.

ATP Rules

Have an assembly in a unique org call WO1. Replenishment occurs via Min/Max planning and it is internally sourced from org A.
Is it possible to have an ATP rule that will check on hand only in WO1? Documentation that has been found on MetaLink suggests that
1. Find a ship from location (using Sourcing Rules) for the item if the ship
from location is not already defaulted on the line.
2. Check the availability of the item from that warehouse. If available,
return that warehouse. If not, find another warehouse using the Sourcing
Rules. Continue this until you find a warehouse or till no more sourcing
rules exists
3. If the item is not available on the request date, or within the acceptable
range, the system will error out and display a message to indicate that the
date could not be met.

Oracle internal queries taking more CPU time

Following are queries taking more CPU time. I got this from awr report. Can anyone tell me why these queries are running? Is it a oracle enterprise manager query? should I use

ESSO LM Agent Settings

Hi Experts,
I am new to ESSO. During installation of ESSO LM Admin 11.1.1.5 , i selected the minimal required options for installation.
Once after installing ESSO LM Agent at User's Desktop, For the first time it is poping up for "PassPhrase". User need to the Answer for the Pass Phrase.
How to suppress the PassPhrase option in ESSO 11.1.1.5. Do i need to set in Global Agent Settings? If so what is the Parameter name in 11.1.1.5 Version?

Oracle Upgrade : 10.2.0.4 - 11.2 dbua hangs

Hello,
I have started the dbua once and it has retrieved the database information. After this i pressed cancel to verify some of the warnings. When I tried to start it again, it hangs in the "getting database information..please wait" popup.
I found that I can try to remove the ../cfgtoollogs/dbua/<sid>/upgrade* directory which I have done.
I have also tried to start up the database in UPGRADE mode since I found this to be a possible cause as well.
Still, I cannot get passed the "getting database information" popup.
I can see that the "upgrade<n>" directory is not recreated, and the trace.log file from dbua stops processing immediatley after start and I can also see this error in the log, but I'm not sure if it's related to my problems or how to resolve it:

I had a look at my glogin.sql but i had no custom entries.
I also find this metalink which more or less explains my issue in detail:

However, the directory and file that is suggested to be removed does not exist in my 102 or 112 environment.
I don't have a DBMA directory, but only a DBCA and DBMA and in those directories I do not find any *.tx files to remove.
So unfortunately I still have the issue with my hanging popup during "Getting database information..."

CSV File mapping deployment gets failed

Hi All,
I have one CSV file. I want to pull it into OWB 11.1.0.7 and load into Target Table.
I followed the following steps, but facing issues at the time of deploying mapping
VLD-1141: Internal errror during mapping generation+
I created OTHER_MODULE In Files and imported CSV file from D drive. After that i Created Target table and mapped it.
Mapping Validation is getting Sucessfull. While deploying the mapping facing facing above error...
I tried 3 times by recreating mapping, but facing same error.
How can we resolve this?

Did you set the the database parameter "utl_file_dir" ?
