Document Types - BSEG

Hi,
I have a quick question regarding the BSEG table.
When you pull every entry for every document type in the BSEG table, will that provide you with all the entries in the general ledger?

Hi,
Document type is stored on the header level, i.e. in BKPF table. Answering to your question: yes, BSEG contains all postings in G/L.

    Hi guys,
    I need to extract records with the following document types from BKPF
    - RE (Invoice Gross with PO)           
    - RA (Sub.cred.memo stlmt with PO)
    - KR (Vendor Invoice without PO)          
    - KG (Vendor credit memo without PO)      
    - ER (E-Payment)                    
    - TE (Travel & expense)               
    - KD (Down payment)               
    and then for these records the BSEG entries with these posting keys
    - 31 (link to Payment via clearing document)
    - 40 (debit entry, for non-PO voucher)                    
    - 50 (credit entry, for non-PO voucher)                    
    - 86 (GR/IR Debit, link to PO Line, positive)                
    - 96 (GR/IR Credit, link to PO Line, negative)                
    Extractor 0fi_gl_4 does not provide me wtih all these doc types, only a subset.
    0fi_ap_4 is not an option for me, because in the data warehouse I need to link the bkpf/bseg records to the PO (ekko/ekpo), while we have no po reference in bsik/bsik that are read by 0fi_ap_4.
    Is there a way to extend the fi_gl_4 so it contains the doc types I need?
    Or do you know another way of retrieving bseg records of specific types?

    I have checked again and if you didn't change the business content, both fields BLART (doctype) and BSCHL (key) are extracted; how was your delta init done? with selections? Did you apply some specific TRules or URules? Check you PSA for a record you are missing and simulate the update in order to see what's going on.
    As I said, I got everything in my ODS.
    you can also check this in R/3; Tx RSA3 with a comp_code and a fiscal period selection...

  • Quantity field not getting displayed for all document types

    Hi,
    I have made a configuration to include field Quantity(BSEG-MENGE) in the GL account line item display.When I ran the report for stock adjustment account(FAGLL03), only the following document types are showing quantity against them.
    WI- Inventory document
    WA-Goods Issue
    WE---Not showing quantity against (WE- Goods Receipt)
    Can any one please explain. I have seen the original document from FI document. The original document as well as FI document carries quantity.

    Check SAP notes  1063198 and 1117587.
    FAGLL03 display quantity which is updated in FAGLFLEXA, BSEG is not
    relevant in this case. This is clearly explained in the note 1063198.
    The quantity posts through to FI on the 'goods receipt' items, but not on the
    'invoice receipt' items.
    In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
    is more related to the MM area.
    But in the old 'Profit Center Accounting' and the old' Special Ledger'
    the field has been important.
    As the same logic of these areas to 'store' the Quantity is also used
    in the NewG/L the field get only filled in the line, where it make
    'sense' from our point of view, because only in the 'goods receipt'
    lines a 'real' Quantity is posted to the system.
    So as before in the PCA and SL, now also in the NewG/L the Quantity is
    filled in the correct and important lines and postings.
    In the BSEG ('old document segment table') the field is filled 'just'
    as it is send to the FI, but this is not completely correct from the
    business point of view.
    This can also lead to issues with the reporting and summation to this
    field. So with creating the new logic in the NewG/L the 'correct'
    standard of the 'writing' for the Quantity has also been taken over.
    So in the end, the update and display is correct according  SAP standard behavior.
    Actually,Quantities within G/L are never reliable,
    because the purpose of FI is a view on the data according to amount
    but not according to quantity.
    In the FI normally the Quantity is not a 'real' important field, as it
    is more related to the MM area.

    Hi,
    If you want to check amounts of withholding tax for the vendors, you have some options to view it. You can access the WITH_ITEM, LFC1 tables by SE16. You have too the S_P00_07000134 report. This report is developed for the Colombia but I already used for the another country with the ABAP development for this country.
    Also you can use table join BSIK and WITH_ITEM by SQVI for the open items and BSAK and WITH_ITEM for cleared items. It is more simple and fast.

  • In vendor payment advice to show the document type

    Our customised vendor payment advice is designed in smartforms, we need to include document types for e.g. if Down paymentu2013KA, Invoice-RE to easy understand. From where can I call this document types? Because in our payment advice for FI we only have the table BSAK cleared items. Here BKPF always KZ and I didnu2019t get the origin document type. In automatic payment program after payment run, in payment list here we can see the document type KA or RE. Like same we need to show in our payment advice.
    Please suggest.

    I suppose based on the same ZUONR and AUGBL, you could find the related BSEG entries and from there, BKPF with the document type... but this needs to be verified whether it's the correct logic.
    Even then, searching BSEG with those fields will be a performance problem unless you can do it via some secondary index.

  • Fbl3n vendor code  issue for RE document type

    I entered  in fbl3n t.code GR/IR account number then i execute it shows for document type WE (Goods receipt) assignment no,document no,doc type,doc  date,vendor code.but in RE(Invoice receipt) document type,vendor code only not display all other datas shown,is this possible to dispay vendor code in RE document type.plz suggest

    First of all you will have to copy the FM SAMPLE_INTERFACE_00001650 to a Z one .
    Then you will have to loop where the offseting account would be blank , then refer the same to BSEG or FAGALFLEXA or Vendor / customer open items .
    Then you will have to pass the values in the fields if already there in structre - RFPOS else append the structure and create new fields in structure .
    This is how you will have to proceed .
    Take the help of an abaper for Code and appending the structure .

    While running FBL1N report for any vendor where TDS is applicable, the WHT amount is appearing for KR document type. But when it is RE document type the WHT amount is not appearing in the report. How can we resolve this? Any enhancement/any note to be applied?

    FBL1N is having the classic withholding tax field hence please don't refer the those fields.
    please don't refer those fields.
    Please review attached note 363309 for detailed explanation.
    BSEG-QBSHB is designed to fill for the classic withholding tax. And
    extended withholding tax information is stored exclusive in table
    WITH_ITEM.
    You can check in table BSEG for the fields and will find that system
    do NOT update field BSEG-QBSHB.
    In your line layout,you define a field BSEG-QBSHB. But actully the field
    of vendor/customer line item is filled with zero from FI. Thus,it shows
    zero in line item display.
    And as note 363309 says,
    "Remove the field which contains the withholding tax information
    from your display variant.
    If you want to display the withholding tax information, double-click on
    the document number and subsequently choose 'Withholding tax'."

  • Document type restriction in GL posting.

    Dear All,
    How can i restrict a GL account to have only one specific document type documents. I mean only one document type should be posted to that GL.
    It should not contain any other document type other than specified one.
    I know this is possible through validation. But it is not checking if i write validation in OB28. If possible can any one guide me in writing the validationIs there any other way to restrict
    a GL for only one document type.

    Hi,
    To make the GL account specific to a particular document type, you can write the validation as below:-
    Step 1:-
    Create a message ID via transaction code SE91 for message class /EACC/MSG/ACC_COMP as you want to display to user.
    Step 2:-
    Go to transaction GGB0 and create the validation step at complete document level in Financial Accounting as below:-
    Pre Requisits:-
    BKPF-BLART = 'KR'. (example KR doument type)
    Check:-
    BSEG-HKONT <> '1234567890' (the account no. you want to get posted only with the document type given above.)
    Message:-
    Message created in step 1 as error message.
    Step 3:-
    Please also check that this validation has active status (Status=1) at line line item level (level 2) for your company code in transaction OB28.

    Yes, this can be acheived using an validation at accounting document level.
    Validation must be like
    If posting key is 31---Prerequisite: BSEG-BSCHL = '31'
    then the doc type type should be KR---Check: BKPF-BLART = 'KR'
    Else put one error message.
    This will resolve your issue.

    I am looking for a possibility to prevent users from posting a "cross-company code posting" just for a certain document type.
    I checked validation rules and BTEs but without success. Do you have an idea?

    It did not work as the relevant field "New company code" (NEWBK) in not part of BKPF or BSEG, but (only) of structure RF05A. Thus, I cannot use the field in a validation rule.
    Or is there a way to make RF05A fields available for use in validation rules?

    We have a requirement to take a list of documents posted in a profit centre with selected document types.  I tried BSEG table but profit centre is not there.  I also tried FAGLFLEXA & FLEXT tables..but document type is not there.  What to do ?

    You will have to work on BKPF to FAGLFLEXA direct...
    1. Specify a date range in BKPF
    2. Fetch the doc no.s
    3. pass them into FLEXA

    I am getting below error message when i am trying to see the output of a query build on Infoset in SAP R3 system.
    The Infoset is build on top of BKPF,BSEG and EKPO Tables.

    Financial Accounting service: document type "" was not found in the document type table. There are two possible causes:
    document type "" has not been set up in FI customizing
    document type is supplied incorrectly from the calling application
    System Response
    System error.
    Procedure
    There are two possible measures:
    set up document type "" in FI customizing
    system error within the calling application - get in contact with the SAP Hotline Service.

    In which system you are getting this error? Development or Production?
    I think you have doc. type just in BKPF (Accounting documents headers). Check if you have any record with document type blank.
    You can use t code SE16N for this issue. When you are setting filter on field "document type" (BLART) you can see the list of values. Check if there is any blank item

    In our SAP system we have encountered an issue where we see that our SAP system allows to post between GL accounts for document types SK/KD/SD/DD. We are trying to implement a validation rule such that it stops postings between GL account. But it does not work completely.

    I have a question about editing a field and I hope you can help me. I need to make a field editable in FB02, but only for one document type and two users. The field is BSEG-ZFBDT, Baseline payment dte.
    I have tried in ‘Document Change Rules’, make this field editable when line item not cleared, but it works for all document types and users.

    You have to write a ABAP code to achieve this.
    Validation is another Option where you can mention that value is allowed in the Baseline Date field only if the User and Document type value satisfies.

    Provide following information to your technical team and they should be able to help you out.
    1. The structure for Process receivable screen is FDM_COLL_INVOICE_ALV.
    2. Document type filed is BKPF-BLART.
    3. Reference fields is BSEG-KIDNO.
    They should be able to do it.
