E-rec portal - Attachment in Publication

Hi All,
We have a requirement to have a link for attachment in publication form.
The same attachment used in the requisition has to included in the publication.
Please could anybody suggest on this!

Hi RK,
this is nothing the standard supports.
But I would not use a workflow here. As this is a mass handling workflow is no good idea. This is a task for a customer periodical service. Just build a class implementing the periodical service interface which gets all released publications which have a publication end in the past and status released and change their status using the cl_hrrcf_posting_inst_bl. This should be done in a couple of hours. Add the customizing and the issue is solved.
A requirement in this context where a customer workflow is quite handy in my opinion is a customer workflow which closes all postings and withdraws released publications when you close the requisition. This reduces the steps a recruiter has to do and ensures that no candidate applies although you are already done with the requisition.

    Hello Naresh,
    If you want to integrate the BSP application and want to know  how this application is generated, then you can have a look over the Report rcf_generate_url, This generates the URL for Recruiter, Candidate etc.
    otherwise If you want to see which application is running then you have to check with the application starting with HRRCF.

    Hi,
    There are two methods to determine the link.
    1) As you know the production link. Do one thing. The Development will be similar to the production link. Just change the port no and the initial of the link. Initial meas say for production it is https://producti.app some thing like that so for development it would be https://development.app
    2) Open the BSP application. In the attributes of the BSP application there would be one link which can help you to determine the link.

  • Portal attachment hangs

    when we are trying to attach a file to a workflow item in Enterprise portal, in some desktops the browser windows does not come up. some PC it is working fine. i have checked the java version on the PC and it is same. can someone suggest a fix for this

    I think this issue is not related  to the Workflow. This may require to change the Browser settings. Check if  the Internet Option Settings are checked for HTTP/JAVA. This may solve the problem.

  • Need to install E-rec Portal.

    I have installed ECC 6.0 with EHP4 for E-recuritement.Now i need to install portal for erec.
    I believe i have to install Java Stack for this. Should i need to install SAP Netwaewer EHP1 for that matter.

  • Doubts in installation of E-rec

    Hi Expert,
    I would lile to share my doubts with you. I have to install an environment to work on E-rec system.
    For the same, i am going to install  backend system(ECC 6.0 EHP 4) and on another side we will have
    E-REC portal for this i will be installing SAP Netweawer 7.0 EHP1.
    As i heard, for E-rec, TREX has to installed on another system and connected with backend.
    Request you to throw some light with regards to E-Rec installation
    in terms of backend, Portal and TREX.

    I think you should read installation guides before posting your question here (No Offense).
    1) Install ECC 6.0 EHP4 with E-rec on 604.
    2) Install EHP1 portal with E-rec business packages.
    3) Install Trex and connect it with your portal/ECC 6.0 system.

  • E-Recruiting Portal compatability question

    Hi,
    We're using e-Rec and Portal and hit a problem.  E-Rec creates a reference user for all the users in the system ie USER1 (John Smith) (has EE000USER1 (John Smith) created in as e-Rec reference user for internal candidacy). 
    The problem for a portal search screen (eg  manage UWL substitutions) when you search for John Smith two are returned and aren't distinguishable...
    Any e-Rec / Portal gurus know how to work round this?

    if you run a properly configured e-recruiting system the system does not create new users for internal candidates. Usernames are read from IT0105 Subtype 0001 this is working for standalone e-recruiting systems which get the internal candidate information via ALE integration and this is also valid for integrated systems using the same server/client for e-recruiting and hr master data.
    The system should only assign a new user if the employee is inactive.
    Of course in the standard szenarios sap is assuming that you properly maintain the IT0105 and for integrated systems it will be difficult to bypass that. For e-recruiting standalone systems you can refer to an external system / user repository if you need - you have to do some customer development but there are several companies running such a szenario successfully.

  • Knowledge Articles downloaded on portal lose some fragments of pictures

    Hello!
    Because SCSM doesn't support .pdf format as internal content of Knowledge Articles, we create some .rtf files with pictures of pdf pages. Then we create Knowledge Articles with internal content of this .rtf files. In SCSM console this
    KAs look fine. But if we download this KA from SCSM self service portal, there are some lost fragments in pictures. I notice that maximum size of downloaded KA file is 4 Mb.
    Is there some methods to increase maximum file size of KA downloaded from portal?

  • Unable to create confirmation/invoice in SRM,Classic Scenario

    I am unable to create Confirmation/Invoice in the Portal, attached the screen shot of the error
    its is the problem with the ADRC table, there is no entry in the table for the BP.
    I tried to access the table via SM30 to add the entry in ADRC manually, I get a message table maintenance not defined

    Helo Experts,
    Can you help me in the below error message.

    This message is continuosly getting generated every minute when ever our Recruiters performing any transaction in E-Rec Portal.
    We have checked in Backend the Object detials of these users. Everything is maintined in Relationships
    -BP
    -CP
    -P
    -S
    -US
    One morething is we also tested program CL_HRRCF_CANDIDATE by executing in the backend by passing all the parameters like BP,CP,P and US, but this class is not generating any error.
    Is there any updation or TREX Indexing issue?
    Pls advise me with your experiences.

    There are about 2 or 3 Notes which are available - 1430713 & 1498162 depending on your SP level.I imported the notes also but I am still getting the error. I was actually planning to raise an OSS message for this because I really could not find where the error is not coming from.

  • BLOBs and Database Links

    Do Blobs work through Database Links? I have images in one database that I would like to render in a portal attached to another.

    Hi I tried the following in sqlplus:
    1)create a table(ATAB_CLOB) in a remote database(DB2) with a clob column
    2)connect to the database(DB1) and create a database link (ADBLINK1) for the
    remote database(DB2) .
    3) create a synonym (ASYN_TAB) based on the remote table (ATAB_CLOB) using the
    database link ADBLINK.
    4) Now try to create a view based on this synonym,I see the same error:
    SQL> create or replace view aview2 as select * from asyn_Tab;
    create or replace view aview2 as select * from asyn_Tab
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-22992: cannot use LOB locators selected from remote tables
    The message says it all.
    This is a database limitation.

    Which tool you are using for SAP HR?
    Test scripts are totally depends upon the functionality which client requires.
    For example:
    1. You want to  check the reference code is populating into the field or not?
    Test scripts will be like:
    1.Login to the E-rec portal.
        Expected Result: User should be able to login.
        Actual Result: Login succesful.
    2.Click on maintanace:
        Expected Result: maintanace page should be opened.
        Actual Result: maintanace page is being opened.
    3.Click on Job postings and press Reference code button.
        Expected Result: Refcode should be populated.
        Actual Result: Refcode is  being  populated.
    Like this Testscripts are depends upon Business scenarios.

  • Analytics server 1.1

    I installed analytics server 1.1. Installation went successfully. When I loaded analytics console community, I get javascript error PTHTTPGetRequest is undefined. Any idea what is creating this problem:
    I have win2003 server/portal 5.03 .NET/Sql 2000 SP3a.

    I was facing exactly the same problem since Friday I installed Analytics Server on a pre-production platform.As suggested by Eric, I searched into the log files of Analytics to get something wrong.I found
    10 Mar 2006 16:08:27,408 FATAL JSIncludesHandler - com.plumtree.openfoundation.io.XPFileNotFoundException: jscomponent file for jsutil not found or failed to load.Exceptions encountered: - com.plumtree.openfoundation.io.XPFileNotFoundException: Failed to load http://img-rec.portal.groupe-casino.fr/imageserver/plumtree/common/private/js/jsutil/jscomponent.xml. Loader exception: Connection refused: connect
    In the analyticsui.log file.
    My first understanding was that this javascript file was missing or corrupted. So Analytics Remote Server was encountering exactly the same kind of error as the client browser.But I checked that the file was present on the imageserver.
    So I tried the exact HTTP request (http://img-rec.portal.groupe-casino.fr/imageserver/plumtree/common/private/js/jsutil/jscomponent.xml) being logged on the Analytics Remote Server. The request did not finished. In my case, I had a problem to access the imageserver (problem with the VLAN configuration and hardware loadbalancer for imageserver).Solving this, there's no more problem.I encourage you to check the accessibility of the imageserver from the Analytics Remote Server.
    I was encouraged to search this way because I had one time the same kind of error with the content server. Content Server was requesting for a javascript file of the imageserver and never got it. This resulting with a blocking state for Content Server. In this case, the javascript file was really missing. But I discovered this time that such remote servers as Content Server also request for the imageserver component.
    My understanding in the case of the problem with the PTHTTPGETRequest missing function is the following.The PTHTTPGETRequest function is hosted in the PTXML.js javascript file.This javascript file is located in the E:\sysapp\plumtree\ptimages\imageserver\plumtree\common\private\js\jsutil\XXXXXX directory. The beginning of the directory depends on your installation. XXXXXX refers to the current version (something like 157085)This is the same for other fundamental javascript functions for the client.So the client needs to make the appropriate includes of javascript files according to your installation and the products you're using.The name of the files to be included are determined by the Remote Server (Analytics in our case). To get the right version to include, Analytics has to access the http://img-rec.portal.groupe-casino.fr/imageserver/plumtree/common/private/js/jsutil/jscomponent.xml. This jscomponent.xml file contains the id of the current version (157085 for instance). Because the Analytics Remote Server don't get this file, I guess it doesn't know what is the right version. So it doesn't put any include clause into the HTML answer to the client.But for any reason, the Analytics Server put in the HTML answer the code with the PTHTTPGETRequest.In the HTML page, there's the PTHTTPGETRequest call but no include. This leads to the blocking problem.
    I also established this analysis thanks to the name of the component logging the error message: JSIncludesHandler. I understood this component is in charge of defining the right javascript includes for the client.

  • Pre-Orders without Uploading Assets?

    I received this via new announcements email fromiTunes Connect. One of the news items was this:
    Pre-Orders
    Pre-orders are an easy way to generate sales before publication. Now, you can make your book available for pre-order without submitting a cover or book asset up until two weeks prior to publication date. Your pre-order will appear live in the iBookstore as soon as you deliver complete metadata. You must submit the cover, book asset, and custom preview two weeks prior to publication.

    How does one do this? I went in, and it won't let me upload metadata without attaching the publication and publication preview. Or am I missing something? It would be great to start a pre-order page for a book without having to have the book already completed.

    It *seems* that Apple no longer offer this.
    Supposedly, version 2.5.1 allowed this feature, but I was also not able to get it to work and there was no "2.5.1 Guide" with instructions.
    I wrote iBookstore support, and got no reply until a couple of days ago and they said:
    "Please refer to Appendix A in the iTunes Producer guide to find more information on delivering a book for pre-orders. According to the current iTunes Producer Guide all assets (EPUB, iBooks format, cover art, and screenshot files) are due up front."
    Then I noticed that there is a new version 2.6 with a 2.6 Guide and it mentions that you need all assets to create a pre-order.
    So it seems the feature is gone for the moment
