E-Recruitment- Recruiter selected candidates resume to manager

hi Experts,
1. We have a requirement that hiring manager should be able see resume of those candidate which are evaluated by recruiter only and not other.
Kindly suggest upon the solution. Is there any thing came up in EHP5 to address this? I read SAP has provided a selection activity in EHP5, can this be used for this purpose?
2. can anyone explain the use of Selection activity?
Thanks,
Ninad.

Hello,
You can created Quetionnaire activity which can be created by Recruiter to Hiring Manager to review the resume and provide feedback.
Also there is field called Read/Unread which can be used to ot track if the recruiter completed reading the candidate data and create custom code to filter this for hiring manager.
Thanks,
Raghu.

  • E-Recruiting - Recruiter URL works for one user and doesn't for another

    Hi
I am new to e-Recruiting, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
We are in the process of configuring the SAP e-recruiting module on  an existing HCM system.  It is only a demo system.
We started off with the IDES, with SAP sample data.
We activated the BSPs via SICF.
We generated the BSP URLs via program rcf_generate_urls.
We picked two existing employees (PERNRS) in the system and linked test IDs (USERID1, USERID2) to them in infotype 105.  Both USERID1 and USERID2 have BASIS/Superuser authorizations.
When USERID1 runs the recruiter startpage it displays the page correctly.  Pernr of USERID1 has a Candidate(NA Object) linked to it's CP object.
When USERID2 runs the recruiter start page it gives an internal error.  This Id's pernr does not have a candidate object.
Should there be a NA object for every CP object?  Does any one have some business process guides that may help us understand the relationships between the objects?
    Please advise.
    Thank you
    Amina

    Hello Amina,
not everyone should have a candidate (NA) object, every one MUST have a candidate object. No matter which role someone plays within the e-recruiting system (recruiter, manager, admin, internal candidate, external candidate, talent manager, ...) he needs a candidate to work with the system.
Assuming you have an ERP2005 (= E-Recruiting 600) you can use report RCF_USER_CREATE to create users for test purposes. For the productive environment you have to set up HR -> E-recruiting integration and can run HRALXSYNC to create candidates for existing employees.
I am not sure how much business process documentation there is in sap help. I have to admit I prefere learning from the system. Perhaps a very rough overview:
    e-rec brings the following objects:
    NA - Candidate
NB - Requisition / Application Group
    NC - Posting
    ND - Application
    NE - Candidacy
    NF - Talent Group
furthermore e-recruting uses some additional objects from the hr base and other components (P Employee, CP Central Person, US User, BP Business Partner, O OrgUnit, S Position, QK qualification group, Q qualification, VA/VB/VC Questionaire and its elements)
NA - The candidate is the central representation of everyone in e-recruiting. A Candidate is always linked to a CP which is linked to a BP and a US. If the person is an employee the CP is linked to the P object, too. (Hint: for integrated systems the user for an employee is not linked in HRP1001 but retrieved from IT0105 directly, e-recruiting uses a standard function of HR here, the hr function modules for reading object releations virtualize this assingment as hrp1001 relation).
NB - The NB object has currently 3 slightly different tasks. As requisition it is the internal view for an internal/external hiring request, it defines what you are looking for e.g. "ABAP programer, 40 hours/week, place of work London, ..". As application group it allows to accept applications for "areas" where you have currently no exact position to hire but regularely look for canditates. Application groups channalize unsolicited applications e.g. Interns, Engineers. Third usage is the requisition for succession planning - not really important.
NC - Posting is supposed to be the outside view. It contains the texts for the requisition published in the different channels. as you might to use a different text for the different media a requisition can have several postings. A posting has one or more posting instances / publications. They are not an hr object type, they define the channel with publication duration and language where you publish your posting.
ND - The application can be compared with the hardcover application. If a candidate applies he creates an application. The application is linked to the candidate of course and as the candidate applies through a certain channel the application is linked to the posting.
NE - The candidacy is the assignment to a requisition. You could say it is the task / intention to check a candidate for the requisition so it is linked to the requisition and the candidate. As the candidate applies for the job described by the requisition (application group are treated the same here) an application is always linked to at least one candidacy. If a recruiter decides based on the candidates profile that he is interesting for another open positions he can add more candidacies to the application to check the candidate for these requisitions. There is also the posibilit that you create a candidacy w/o application. Every external who applied and every employee is in the system even if he has no active application. External candidates can even register to the system w/o applying. You can check this pool for suitable candidate an assign them to a requisition. This is a candidacy w/ an application. You can later request a candidate to apply to this requisition but it is theoretical possible to process the complete hiring just with a candidacy.
NF The Talent group is used to structure the huge amount of candidates in the pool. E.g. you can form a talent group "High Potentials - Design Engineers". You can use these groups to easier find suitable known candidates if a matching requisition is opened. But they are also needed for pool development. For short applicant groups you can track them and try to stick with your company till you get the right opening for them.
The other object are linked to this core. Qualifications are linked to requisitions as requirement and linked to candidates of course. OrgUnits and Positions can be linked to requisitions to link to OM. Questionaires are assigned to candidates at all for general appraisal or to candidacies to appraise the suitability for the requisition or to track interview, assessment results.
There ore other "objects" in e-recruiting which are not represented by an OTYPE. One example is mentioned above the publication. Others are recruiting team and recruiting plan. If you need information to one of these just post another reply.
Hope that gives some basic overview about the objects.

  • Error in erecruitment after selecting candidate selection

    Hi experts,
We are implementing SAP eRecruitmen. In BSP Pages while selecting candidate selection options it is showing dump.
    we are getting error like
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_HRRCF_SES_BUSOBJ_FROM_SPTYPCP" had to be
    terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CREATE_OBJECT_ERROR', was
      caught in
procedure "READ_SPT_INFOCATE_FIELDS" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a
      RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The dynamically specified class " " at CREATE OBJECT neither exists as
local, nor as global class in the system, or is overshadowed by a local
data type of the same name.
    Need help on this.!!!!!!!
    Thanks

    Hello eshwar,
whenever there is this "An internal error occurred, ..." message in sap e-recruiting you should have a look into T-Code SLG1 and check the application log. There you will find additional information.
If you cannot solve the problem with this additional information just post the log information here. Probably someone will be able to help.

  • Party Resource selected from the Assignment Manager is not available on SR

Party Resource selected from the Assignment Manager is not available on Service Request.
    Hi,
Im working on Oracle Customer Support and observed the following.
I imported a party (dealer) from AR and created it as a resource.
Then created a Service Request, assigned Tasks to the service request and then tried to assign the task to the imported resource using Assignment Manager.
In the assignment manager searched for the resources using Unassisted search. In the resource type selected 'Party Resource'. Found the party resources by clicking on the search button.
Double clicked on the party resource and specified the Start Time and End Time.
After clicking on the Ok button, the selected party resource is not available in the Service Request Form.
Can somebody please help me in this matter. I want the party resource on the service request form.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Anil

    Shiv,
Thank you for your reply. I don't have access to the production instance..but I will definitely recommend the solution. I did these steps in test instances earlier whenever I had this error. But they used to go away after bouncing app server.
Now, some of the functions are available to the responsibility without any modifications..seems like it takes a while for the newly added functions to a menu to propagate in the E-Business system.
What confounds me is that even after a mid-tier bounce, the system didn't pickup the menu changes.

  • E-recruiting start pages candidate selection

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me how and when the column 'unread' is filled in the overview of the requisitions when you have chosen the entry 'candidate selection'.
    Kind regards,
    Ruth

    Hi,
In the candidate shortlist. whenever a candidate has applied or you have added the candidate from the talent pool to the requisition it is by default unread.
Now when u select the requisition and go to assignments you see the list of candidates.
Now you can select the candidate and make it read or unread as required.
Unread / Read is used the the recruiter to maintain a tag against a candidate that whether the resume has been read or not. There is no automatic change of read or unread on reading a candidate details, it is done manually by the recruiter.

  • E-recruitment: Defaulting select options in the Dropdowns (WDA Cand, Rec)

Question: Using COnfigurations ID's, is there an option to default values for the fileds with drop downs. EX: Country filed shows several entries in candidate and recruiter applications. would it be possible to  default USA in the country drop down filed using configuration ID's. If yes, please explain.
Version - E-rec 604 support pack 5. Webdynpro Interface, seperate front end and back end - candidate Scenerios #3 as per Note 1017866.
Request e-rec Pro's to post the solution, if they have faced this issue in there e-rec implementation exp.

    Hi,
preselecting values is not possible via configuration. You can only solve that by programming, thus creating enhancements to the WDA components.

  • E-Recruiting 6.0 - Candidate Name Format

    Hi Experts,
I am currently using E-Recruiting 6.0 in an integrated environment.
When I display an internal candidate name at the E-Recruiting 'candidate Overview' transaction, it is always displayed in the format of "Last Name / Postal Code".
I want it to display in the format of 'First Name / Last Name".  I have configured IMG-> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Persons -> Maintain Name Formatting Rules (V_T0050 country 'SG' and T77S0 RECFA - BPCOU parameter to be 'SG', but it has no impact on the name display format.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    William

Did you fill out the RECFA BPNAM as well.
    Did you solve it now?

  • E-recruiting / Smart Forms/ Candidate Phot

Hi, We are storing Candidate's photo as an attachement in e-recruitment which is getting saved in the KW. Noe the problems i that when we try to pull the data in a smart form for Candidate profile, we are not abel to do.
Is there anyways to pick up picture formats from the KW on to the Smart Forms
    Best Regards,
    Devyash

    Hello G Raj,
the BAdI you found is only for providing standard texts in the posting maintainence. If implemented it sets text you use again and again depending on requisition attibutes so the recruiter does not have to type in everything each time.
For the publication smartform, as for any other data overview, you do not change the standard you just replace the standard example by your company one. You start by copying the standard smartform to keep the correct interface (all e-recruiting smartforms are named HRRCF*) and changing to the layout you need. Then you set the smartform in IMG under SAP E-Recruiting -> Technical Settings -> User Interfaces -> Settings for User Interfaces with Business Server Pages (BSP) -> Assign Parameters to Parameter Types.

  • E-Recruit - Problem creating candidates using RCF_CREATE_USER

When I try to create candidates for e-recruitment in se38 using the program RCF_CREATE_USER I get an error message that says "Enter at least one number for the business partner".
But if I try to run the program again for the same user then it says that "A candidate already exists for the user". However if I check in su01, no reference user has been addded to the user roles.
Can anyone suggest why this isn't working.

    Hello,
We never had any issue while using this program 'RCF_CREATE_USER' though our recruit is still not working because of some other issues. We do get this error '"A candidate already exists for the user" whenever we try to repeat a username. If you use a username in this program which you never have used it before, you wont get this message. Try creating a new user in SU01 and then use in this program. You wont get this message. Normally we assume that a user is created even if you get some error after running the program. This is just my assumption. It seems E-recruiting  model is very very complex!!
Let me know if you need any docs on Customizing the IMG for E-recruiting.

  • E- Recruitment 600 - External candidate creation

    Hi All,
I created internal candidate and iam able to view the start pages of the internal candidate.
But when followed the similar steps to create external candidate iam facing lot of issues starting from User creation. can anyone share their inputs wrt ext candidate user creation and its related portal page.
    thanks in advance.
    kind regards
    saipriyan

    Hello Sai,
of course you are right that the standard functions to create an external candidte differ from creating an internal one. In the production scenarios there are basically 3 ways to create an external candidate:
    - The candidate uses the registration where he registers to the candidate pool without actually applying to a position
    - The candidate uses the unregistered search and applies for a position. In the process of applying the candidate is created
    - The recruiter uses the minimum data entry functionality accessable through a link on his startpage to enter a hardcopy application into the system
These 3 scenarios are available for creating the external candidate but each of them requires a certain amount of configuration (e.g. unregistered search requires a properly set up TREX search engine) which usually takes some time.
On the very beginning of a project when the servers are installed and the basic configurations have been done, I usually test all standard start pages to see if the basic settings are ok. In this case all I want is the ability to log in and call the startpages. Then I use the described approach to just give an internal candidate which is usually my test user the authorization for the external startpage and I set the username as Alias so I can call the page. Of course next steps are creating the first requsition / posting / publication and test the application wizard (as said this requires the TREX set up or some help report to generate a direct application link). But overall for me I find it very handy to ba able to log on to all internal and external applications with my test user so I do not need to remember several logins as long I do not start testing full scenarios with applied authorization.
